1980 TATRA 613

1980 TATRA 613

Lot # 2 (Sale Order: 2 of 50)

The Tatra 613 was a large luxury rear wheel driven car, with rear mounted air-cooled engine manufactured by Czechoslovak manufacturer Tatra from the 1970s to the 1990s, as a replacement for the Tatra 603 series. It featured an all new body styled by Vignale of Italy and used a dohc air-cooled 3.5-liter V8 engine with 165 hp. Later injection versions reached 200 hp, with max. speed of 230 km/h. The design was updated a further five times until being replaced by the Tatra 700 in 1996, itself a restyled T613-5.The Tatra 613 vehicles were mostly used by government officials, industry executives and in limited numbers, were also used as police cars and as the rapid response fire fighting and rescue vehicles during motorsport events. One of approximately 11,000 ever produced and 500 in its model year, this T613-3, which is finished in black with grey interior. It is a very rare car indeed. Its 3.5-liter air-cooled 165bhp V8 engine would make this a very fast and fun car to drive.

1966 FORD CORTINA 1500 GT

Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 4 of 50)

Launched on 20th September 1962, the Ford Cortina had eye-catching modern styling. It was originally branded as the Ford Consul Cortina until a modest facelift in 1964, after which, it was sold simply as the Cortina but with four trim levels; Standard, Deluxe, Super and GT. 1976 MERCEDES BENZ W116 350 SE

1976 MERCEDES BENZ W116 350 SE

Lot # 5 (Sale Order: 5 of 50)

The Mercedes-Benz W116 is a series of flagship vehicles produced from September 1972 until 1979 and were the first Mercedes-Benz models to be officially called S-Class, although earlier saloon models had already unofficially been designated with the letter 'S' - for Sonderklasse or 'special class.' The 'new' S-class generation development began in 1966, which was only a year after the launch of the W108/09 models. The design, finalized in 1969 was a dramatic leap forward, with more masculine lines that combined to create an elegant and sporty character. The basic design concept was inspired from the highly acclaimed R107 SL-Class roadster, in particular the front and rear lights.Originally registered in 1976 and one of very few manual transmission versions of this most elegant of cars. The wonderful anthracite paintwork is in excellent condition, showing no signs of corrosion and virtually unmarked velour interior. The chrome work is also in excellent order. Without doubt this car has been lovingly cared for and is a credit to the current and previous owners. Langham HÜgler have test driven this vehicle to report that the 3,499cc engine burst into life on our journey. This W116 behaved exactly as it should, with no adverse rattles. Unquestionably, this is a superb example of a highly desirable Mercedes-Benz and surely can only continue to rise in value and desirability.

1979 MERCEDES BENZ W123 280CE

1979 MERCEDES BENZ W123 280CE

Lot # 7 (Sale Order: 7 of 50)

The W123 compact range of Mercedes-Benz cars, introduced in January 1976 and in production for the next decade, was significantly safer, better equipped and more refined than its predecessors. In fact, it became the most successful model to wear the famous Three-Pointed Star to date, with more than 2.6 million examples hitting the road before being replaced by the W124 in 1985. Sold in both four-cylinder (200/230) and six-cylinder (250/280) versions, along with an extensive range of diesels, the W123 was available in both sedan and estate guises and in keeping with tradition, a stylish two-door coupe was also available. Of pillarless design and on a shorter (2710mm) wheelbase, the W123 coupe featured more luxurious interior appointments, power steering as standard and the 280CE model, with its fuel injected twin-cam 2.8-litre six-cylinder engine, topped out the range. The M110/988 engine developed 185 bhp at 5800 rpm and was capable of pushing the 280CE to speeds in excess of 200 km/h. Built in relatively small numbers between 1977 and 1985, the 280CE offers surprisingly strong performance from the gutsy six, typically Germanic build quality and safety at a very affordable price. We are delighted to offer this beautifully presented example. It is really a pleasure to see such a pristine version of this highly desirable Mercedes Benz coupe. Finished in anthracite coachwork and a virtually unmarked full cream leather interior. It is clearly an extremely well-maintained car and offered with a very realistic reserve.

1968 RENAULT 8 GORDINI

1968 RENAULT 8 GORDINI

Lot # 8 (Sale Order: 8 of 50)

The French manufacturer Renault has a long tradition for building entertaining small cars big on character with plenty of performance. This tradition can be traced back to early Sixties and the launch of the new 8. Renault turned to tuning wizard AmŽdŽe Gordini to breathe on their new model and by adding twin dual-choke 40 mm Solex side-draft carburettors and a cross-flow head, power was almost doubled to 89 bhp. Stiffer suspension and a close-ratio gearbox made the Renault 8 Gordini great fun to drive and distinctive blue paint gave it an appropriately racy appearance. The first series Gordini 8, designated the R1134, was introduced in 1965 then superseded by the more powerful R1135 model in 1968, boasting a five-speed gearbox, bigger fuel tank, stiffened bodyshell and revised rear suspension. The expanded 1255cc engine now developed 99 bhp, with 40 mm Webers replacing the earlier Solex carburettors. The R1135 can be identified by the distinctive quad headlights, with the addition of Cibie Oscar driving lights. Gordini earned the nickname Le Sorcier (The Sorcerer) for his tuning skills and certainly worked his magic to transform the humble 8 into an affordable, highly entertaining sports saloon that was France's answer to the Mini Cooper and Abarth Fiats. Not surprising, the 8 Gordini proved at home on the track and in rallies around Europe, scoring wins at the Tour de Corse, Alpine Cup and Monte Carlo Rally. There was even a 'Gordini Cup' for budding race drivers and many future stars of the era cut their teeth in them. With only 12,203 made they have a cult following today and are very collectible in Europe. Particularly, in such fine condition as this one.

1993 JAGUAR XJS 4.0

1993 JAGUAR XJS 4.0

Lot # 10 (Sale Order: 10 of 50)

The XJS was launched in 1975, and whilst the fabulous V12 engine could deliver outstanding performance, its thirst for petrol was legendary, which caused problems in the USA, where Jaguar were fined for publishing misleading figures. This promoted the first big change for the model, which was the new HE or High Efficiency engine in 1981. This combined with the much longer final drive, gave the XJS much better fuel economy, which was bearable. The Jaguar XJS offers its owners a slice of motoring history, defying critics to become one of the world's most successful GT cars. From the introduction of the HE engine in 1982, the 3.6 AJ6 engine in 1984, which expanded to four litres in 1989, the cabriolet in 1985, the full convertible in 1988 and the face-lift model in 1993 to the final commemorative model in 1995,the XJS was continuously developed during its 20 year production life. This very desirable and pristine Jaguar XJS 4.0 Convertible Automatic is described by the vendor as a very good example having been extremely well cared for. Manufactured in the lovely combination of Arctic Blue and Beige Leather interior. The original tool kit is present, and the car comes with a good history file. The XJS is now increasing in value and these convertibles are leading the way.

1979 VW KAEFER CABRIOLET

1979 VW KAEFER CABRIOLET

Lot # 12 (Sale Order: 12 of 50)

Like its contemporaries, the Mini, Citro‘n 2CV, Renault 4, and the Fiat 500, the Beetle has long outlasted predictions of its lifespan. It has been regarded as something of a 'cult' car since its 1960's association with the 'surf culture', and the obvious attributes of its unique and quirky design. This is one of very few cars with an accessible, air-cooled horizontally opposed engine, and the consequent ease of repair and modification, as opposed to more complex water-cooled engines. The original flat four had fewer than 200 moving parts making it very easy to maintain. This very attractive 1979 Red convertible has an excellent black soft top and a very smart interior. It's the 1600cc '1303 Super Beetle' model and runs the later fuel injection which gives the whole car a much more modern feel. The car has been German registered; however, it came originally from the dry state of California which probably explains the excellent condition of the bodywork. It has now been converted to a full European spec, and recently serviced. With low ownership, and just 63000 kilometers from new, this stunning little VW Convertible has plenty to offer its new owner.

1963 MERCEDES BENZ W112 300SE BARN FUND

1963 MERCEDES BENZ W112 300SE BARN FUND

Lot # 13 (Sale Order: 13 of 50)

The 300SE was Mercedes BenzÕs flagship model at the time of its introduction in 1961, superseding the 300 ÔAdenauerÕ, and would remain so until the arrival of the 600 ÔGrosser MercedesÕ in 1963. One of four models to share the new Ôfin tailÕ body style first seen at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1959, the 300SE entered production in saloon form, with coupŽ and cabriolet models arriving the following year. Although similar in appearance to the contemporary 220, the 300SE was mechanically more refined, featuring self-levelling air suspension that would later feature on the 600, power assisted steering, servo assisted disc brakes on all four wheels and, from August 1963, dual-circuit braking. From 1964 the 2,996cc, Bosch fuel-injected, six-cylinder all-alloy engine produced 170bhp (DIN), an output sufficient to propel the luxuriously equipped 300SE to around 200km/h, or 195km/h when equipped with the optional four-speed automatic transmission. As is the case with all of Mercedes-BenzÕs many flagship models, ownership of the 300SE was confined to a wealthy few; indeed, at the time of its launch in 1961, coincidental with that of the Jaguar E-Type, one could have bought two of the British sports cars for the price of a single 300SE! Only 5,202 had been sold when production ceased in 1965.The 300SE offered here is finished in original black coachwork. What makes this particular car so unique is that it was recently discovered after being locked away in a barn for more than twenty years. Totally original and complete it offers a fabulous opportunity for restoration. A superb find of a top-of-the-range Mercedes Benz luxury saloon.

It featured; a sticker on the bonnet, 'Wolfsburg Edition' plaques replacing the side repeaters, color coded mirrors, wider arch trims (on the G60) BBS RM012 two piece split rim wheels, 1/2 tint rear lenses, white front lenses, black VW roundel on the front, black VW roundel on the back, leather gear knob and steering wheel, and a one-off Interior In blue, with matching carpet, door cards, and seats (electric Recaro's on the G60). 1991 PORSCHE 968

1991 PORSCHE 968

Lot # 16 (Sale Order: 16 of 50)

Working to update the 944 S2, Porsche engineers realized that the developments they were making were so major as to warrant an entirely new model line. With more than 80% of the mechanical components either new or significantly developed, there was little left of the S2 in its replacement. The styling was a major evolution of the 944 and borrowed elements from the yet to be released Type 993 911. Dubbed the 968, its straight-four-cylinder engine displaced 3.0 liters and produced 236 bhp. It incorporated VarioCam technology, the first system to provide continuous valve adjustment, and a six-speed manual gearbox. By late 1991, the 968 was readied for delivery. This highly attractive Blue Metallic 968 version was delivered in 1991 in Austria. Accompanied by its original books and various documents, this confirms the carÕs originality. It has had regular servicing throughout its life and drives very well. The car presents in very good condition throughout, undoubtedly becoming increasingly rare. A superb car to drive as well as to collect.

1994 MERCEDES BENZ 600 SEC

1994 MERCEDES BENZ 600 SEC

Lot # 17 (Sale Order: 17 of 50)

The Mercedes-Benz W140 is a series of flagship vehicles that were manufactured by the German automotive company from 1991 to 1998. On November 16th, 1990, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the W140 S-Class via press release, later appearing in several February and March editions of magazines. The W140 introduced innovations such as double pane window glazing, power-assisted closing for doors and boot lid, electric windows which lowered back down upon encountering an obstruction, rear parking markers which rose from the rear wings (discontinued on later vehicles, and replaced with sonar assisted parking) and a heating system which, if desired, continued to emit warm air after the engine was turned off. For details like this, the W140 is often known as the last Mercedes to be 'over-engineered,' a Mercedes trait that was costing the company in product delays and over budgeting. According to 'Motor Trend', this action reportedly caused project cost overruns and resulted in the departure of Wolfgang Peter, Daimler-Benz's chief engineer. The vehicle is believed to have cost Mercedes-Benz over $1 billion to develop. For the consumer, the W140 cost a considerable 25 percent more than its predecessor, the W126.This rare S600 Coupe is finished in Black with a sumptuous full Black leather interior, with dark wood trim. The car sits on its correct eight-hole alloys. The interior is in very good condition and it looks as though the rear seats have never been sat in! The car has an impressive stereo system, helped no doubt by the double glazing and great sound insulation. This top of the range car also benefits from automatic climate control and other optional extras such as a rear blind. Renowned for their silky smooth V12 engines with the ability to balance a 50 cents piece on its side at idle, and this one is no different. With nearly 400hp on tap, the performance is impressive, accelerating at some rate on a wave of power. The gearbox shifts seamlessly, and it handles as one would expect. The car had a vastly expensive overhaul in 2015 when the car was removed from long term storage. This is a rare S600 Coupe and represents unbelievable value today.

1978 PANTHER J72

1978 PANTHER J72

Lot # 18 (Sale Order: 18 of 50)

Founded by engineer Bob Jankel in 1971, Panther West Winds Limited rose to public prominence by hand building expensive, high-quality, retro-styled luxury sports cars using modern components. The firm's first volume-selling car - the Vauxhall Magnum-based Lima, which was sold through the Vauxhall dealer network - appeared in 1976 but before then the formula combining modern engineering and performance with bygone era styling had been established by the J72. Built between 1972 and 1980, the latter was Panther's first production model and owed its inspiration to the SS100 Jaguar of the late 1930s. Such was the superb quality of its construction that the J72 won the Silver Medal for coachwork at the 1973 London Motor Show, beating the likes of Rolls-Royce. Running gear was mainly Jaguar, there being a choice of XK six-cylinder or V12 engines, with automatic transmission the norm on later models. By the time production ceased just 300 J72s had been made, though the model was re-launched as the BrooklandÕs after Panther's take-over by Jindo Industries, of Korea. This 4.2-litre XK-engine J72 is in superb condition finished in Speed Yellow with Black Connolly leather interior and black hood and comes equipped with a tonneau cover and side screens.Embodying all the style of a post-Vintage thoroughbred yet easier to drive and maintain, this rare, craftsman-built British sports car is offered with various documentation. A very rare car in any part of the world and surely offering an outstanding investment opportunity for the discerning car collector.

1988 MERCEDES BENZ 560SL R107

1988 MERCEDES BENZ 560SL R107

Lot # 19 (Sale Order: 19 of 50)

Based on the venerable R107 platform, the Mercedes-Benz 560 SL was first introduced in 1986 exclusively in the U.S., Japanese, and Australian markets. It offered the most powerful engine found in any SL during the 1980s, a 227-hp, 5.5-liter V-8. This enabled the 560 SL to achieve a top speed of 130 mph and accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 6.5 seconds, both slightly faster than previous SL models despite the increased weight. The increased power required both an improved rear suspension and a limited-slip differential, both of which were added for the 1986 model year.In addition to performance, the 560 SL offered a level of safety and luxury fitting the Mercedes-Benz nameplate. It came standard with anti-lock brakes, leather upholstery, an alarm system, and an airbag. These features did not come cheaply, as the 560 SL had a retail price in excess of $48,000. This hefty figure did not deter many potential buyers, and the 560 SL proved to be one of the best-selling Mercedes-Benzes of the late '80s, with average annual sales exceeding 12,000 cars. The example offered here is truly exceptional and is restored to the highest standard. Presented in a highly desirable color scheme of Onyx Black Metallic over Cream Beige leather interior and have covered only 137000 kilometers since delivery in 1988. Included with the sale is the iconic pagoda-style removable hardtop, in matching Onyx Black Metallic. The owner notes that the black soft convertible top has been rarely used other than for inspection. The seats have always been covered since new, ensuring that they both remain in pristine condition. Without question, this is one of the best-preserved condition 560 SLs available anywhere. It will make a fine addition to any Mercedes-Benz or luxury car collection.

1991 MERCEDES BENZ 500E W124

1991 MERCEDES BENZ 500E W124

Lot # 21 (Sale Order: 21 of 50)

The ultimate 'wolf in sheep's clothing' of the 1990s, the 500E saloon was built to rival the BMW M5 and was created in close cooperation with Porsche. With its engineering department fully occupied with the development of the new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz commissioned Porsche in 1989 to redesign the W124 chassis to enable the 5.0L V8 from the SL to be shoehorned in, along with the necessary changes to the suspension system and drive train. The new stealth saloon offered no visible clues on the outside except for very slightly flared wheel arches, wider tyres and discreet side skirts. 100 kph arrived in just 5 seconds and 160 kph in just over 14 seconds, remarkable for a car with such 'stately' presence. It was only available as a hand-built, four-door saloon and with such low production numbers rendered it an instant classic. With only two owners from new and a very low kilometers of 117000 is corroborated by excellent maintenance records One of the finest examples on the market with an exceptional provenance, detailed history and all of the book packs. If you are in the market for an Executive Express that is hugely quick but totally refined, this is the car for you.

1971 CITROèN SM MASERATI

1971 CITROèN SM MASERATI

Lot # 22 (Sale Order: 22 of 50)

Begun in 1961, 'Project S' emerged from Citro‘n's requirement to develop a sports variant of the revolutionary DS. As was customary for the quirky French firm, many running concept vehicles were developed with increasingly complex and upmarket features to differentiate the 'sports' project from the popular DS. The acquisition of Maserati by Citro‘n in 1968 was motivated by the possibility of harnessing Maserati's high-performance engine technology to produce a true Grand Tourer, combining the sophisticated Citro‘n suspension with the power of a Maserati V6.The result was the Citro‘n SM, which was first shown to rapturous appreciation at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1970. It went on sale in France in September of that year in left-hand drive only, although right-hand drive conversions were later offered in the UK and Australia. The SM was Citro‘n's flagship vehicle, competing with other high-performance GTs of the time from manufacturers such as Jaguar, Lotus, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo and Porsche. It was also Citro‘n's way of demonstrating just how much power and performance could be accommodated in a front-wheel drive design. As an example of Citro‘n's optimism and progressive technology, the SM was untouchable, and similarities drawn by pundits of the day to the design and futurism of aircraft such as Concorde cemented the love affair still borne by car aficionados today. The SM was a two door, four-seat coupŽ powered by a 2670cc, Maserati, four-cam, 90-degree V6 producing 180bhp at 6,250rpm, all fed through the front wheels. In 1972 the 2.7 was changed from triple Weber 42DCNFs to Bosch Jetronic injection although later cars returned to the Webers. It was capable of 0-60 in around 8 seconds and had a top speed in fifth gear of 140mph. The suspension was 'Hydropneumatics' and the steering was 'variable-assist' hydraulic. Everything about the car was complex and innovative which is probably why they continue to generate such interest. This, 1971 SM, is a carburetor car that was originally supplied to the French market and was imported into Austria a few years ago where it was proudly displayed in a wonderful Viennese private collection. It has recently undergone recommissioning and servicing including inspection and partial reconditioning of the suspension hydraulic system. The car is presented in very good order throughout and it has been maintained well throughout its life. The coachwork is straight and dents free with good panel gaps all round. The interior trim is lightly patinated but all present and in very good condition. We are told the engine Òruns smoothly having just undergone a service and had the carburetors balanced, and the gearbox runs through all gears faultlessly with no knocks or rattlesÓ. This exciting and rare piece of French exotica appears to run and drive well and is ready for a new owner to enjoy.

Begun in 1961, 'Project S' emerged from Citro‘n's requirement to develop a sports variant of the revolutionary DS. As was customary for the quirky French firm, many runni...moreng concept vehicles were developed with increasingly complex and upmarket features to differentiate the 'sports' project from the popular DS.

1987 MERCEDES BENZ 190E 2.6 LOTEC TURBO

1987 MERCEDES BENZ 190E 2.6 LOTEC TURBO

Lot # 25 (Sale Order: 25 of 50)

This is an incredible car first registered on 18.9.1987. In 1997, the second owner of the company Seiler and Fischbacher in Tyrol equipped the car with a turbocharger system and a body kit from Lotec. The Lotterschmid company was the first manufacturer of high-speed turbo engines for Mercedes vehicles in the eighties. Each car conversion had to be approved by the Tyrolean State Government, as was granted for this exceptionally quick Mercedes Benz. Back in the 1980Õs, the cost of body parts alone was DM 11,000 and a further DM 9,500 spent on the mechanical upgrades. In a later second stage conversion, the engine was brought up to 393 hp and 567 NM torque with classic tuning and an improved turbocharger system. This investment cost over € 30,000. In order to take into account, the larger engine power, the chassis, the brakes and the powertrain, parts were sourced from Mercedes Benz as used in their most powerful vehicles. In addition, racing parts for this purpose cost a further €18,500. All further conversions to this vehicle were registered in another individual approval procedure by the Vorarlberg State Government in 2003.To improve the power, weight was reduced by the removal of many unnecessary interior parts. This again, added to an increase in acceleration and the further capability of the car.The car is presented in excellent condition after a long time in storage. The car performs impeccably and can make many modern supercars look very slow and underpowered! This vehicle is well suited for historic motor sports and drivable in normal traffic. The drivability and reliability correspond very well to the current AMG cars. The car is being offered for the first time in Austria after long term ownership. The Seller informs us that the car can be registered at any time in Europe and driven on public roads. We are delighted to find a very daring new owner for a truly unique Mercedes Benz supercar.
