1918 Netherlands 10 Cents 10c KM# 145 Grades Select Unc

Lot # 2439 (Sale Order: 35 of 1882)

1918 Netherlands 10 Cents 10c KM# 145 Grades Select Unc. Wilhelmina (Wilhelmina Helena Pauline Maria; 31 August 1880 – 28 November 1962) was Queen of the Netherlan...moreds from 1890 until her abdication in 1948. She reigned for nearly 58 years, longer than any other Dutch monarch. Her reign saw both World War I and World War II, as well as the Dutch economic crisis of 1933.The only child of King William III of the Netherlands and Emma of Waldeck and Pyrmont, Wilhelmina ascended to the throne at the age of 10 after her father's death in 1890, under her mother's regency. After taking charge of government, Wilhelmina became generally popular for maintaining Dutch neutrality during the First World War and solving many of her country's industrial problems. By that time, her business ventures had made her the world's first female billionaire in dollars. She went on to ensure that her family was one of seven European royal houses remaining in existence.Following the German invasion of the Netherlands in 1940, Wilhelmina fled to Britain and took charge of the Dutch government-in-exile. She frequently spoke to the nation over radio and came to be regarded as a symbol of the resistance. By 1948, she had returned to the liberated Netherlands and was the only survivor of the 16 monarchs who were sitting on their thrones at the time of her coronation. Increasingly beset by poor health, Wilhelmina abdicated in favour of her daughter Juliana in September 1948 and retired to Het Loo Palace, where she died in 1962.She remains popular in the Netherlands, even among the Dutch Republican movement. This is due to her being seen as a symbol of Dutch Resistance during World War II.

Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 2000-2001 with 40 Coins Ins

Lot # 2447 (Sale Order: 42 of 1882)

Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 2000-2001 with 40 Coins Inside!. Group of 2 United State Mint Set from 2000-2001 included ...morea total of 40 coins. The 2000 Mint Set contained a total of 20 different coins from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, with denominations from one cent to one dollar. The increased number of coins was the result of the introduction of the Sacagawea Dollar. Frequently referred to as the “golden dollar,” this was the latest attempt to create a circulating $1 coin. The small sized format of the previous Susan B. Anthony Dollar was retained, but the coins were given a golden color, plain edge, and new design. Despite wide publicity, the coins never achieved widespread circulation. Each 2000 Mint Set contained Philadelphia and Denver Mint examples of the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Sacagawea Dollar. The State Quarters Program also continued with five designs featuring Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia. Starting with this year, the mint tokens which had previously been included in the sets were eliminated to make space for the new $1 coins. Coins were arranged in four different cellophane packs, divided based on the mint facility and denomination. The two packs of coins from the Philadelphia Mint were placed within an envelope designed in blue, while the two packs of coins from the Denver Mint were in a red colored envelope. A certificate of authenticity including coin specifications were placed within one of the envelopes. The 2001 State Quarters featured New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Kentucky. Additional coins included the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Sacagawea Dollar. For each coin, separate examples from the Philadelphia and Denver Mint were included. The style of packaging remained similar to the prior years, with a redesign to the outer envelopes. The Philadelphia Mint envelope including a picture of the mint building with a blue color scheme. The Denver Mint envelope had an image of their own facility, themed in red. Each envelope contained two separate cellophane packs containing the coins.

Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 1980-1981 with 26 Coins Inside!. Group of 2 United State Mint Set from 1980-1981 included ...morea total of 26 coins. This set include 1980-P & D Lincoln Cents, P & D Jefferson Nickels, P & D Roosevelt Dimes, P & D Washington Quarters, P & D Kennedy Halves, and P & D & S Susan B. Anthony Dollars. The set contains three coins, which were not issued for circulation, but only struck for inclusion within the sets. Similar situations would occur on a few other occasions and each of these sets carries a certain mystique. For what was long considered the final year of the series, the 1981 Susan B. Anthony Dollar was struck only for inclusion within the 1981 Uncirculated Mint Set. Besides the noted dollar coins, each set included circulation strike coins P&D Susan B.Anthony P&D Kennedy Half Dollars, P&D Washington Quarters, P&D Roosevelt Dimes, P&D Jefferson Nickels, and P&D Lincoln Cents. The six coins from the Philadelphia Mint were sealed within a plastic cellophane with a blue color on the side. The seven remaining coins from the Denver and San Francisco Mint were sealed within a separate cellophane with a red color. Placed between protective cardboard, the two cellophane packs were placed within a white envelope marked with the contents.
