***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Sahara 1902 Barber & 1933 Wa

Lot # 91 (Sale Order: 76 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Sahara 1902 Barber & 1933 Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secured a col...morelection of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee has given us some additional rolls. We estimate the rolls to be worth $2000 each as a collectable antique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates are worth over $200 each. But who knows, maybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the rolls we have received there are 10 different casinos. Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1858/7 Snow-1 FS-301 Flying Eagle Cent 1c Graded Select Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 95 (Sale Order: 80 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** 1858/7 Snow-1 FS-301 Flying Eagle Cent 1c Graded Select Unc By USCG. 1858/7 1C Large Letters. Snow-1, FS-301. The top of the 7 is clearly v...moreisible above the final 8 on this attractive Flying Eagle overdate. The broken wing tip and the die chip high above the first 8 are diagnostic for this variety. Central striking detail is sharp, and the in hand appearance is uncommonly smooth for the assigned grade. We do note the typical (for the variety) softness of detail at the end of the eagle's tail and throughout the right half of the wreath. All known 1858/7 cents are weakly defined in these areas due to having been struck from skewed dies. The most significant variety in the brief Flying Eagle series of 1856 to 1858, the 1858/7 Snow-1 has its own listing in the popular Guide Book and is often collected as an integral part of a complete set of this small cent type. Snow Die Stage A, offered here, is the most desirable of the three known die states since it retains the most prominent remnants of the 7 under digit. Indeed, a loupe reveals a nearly complete upper right corner of the 7 under digit above and to the right of the second digit 8 in the date. An additional diagnostic of this variety is what appears to be a small die chip in the field above the space between the digits 85 in the date. Some numismatic scholars believe that this die chip is the remnant of the base of an errant 1. If so, the 1858/7 Snow-1 variety could be classified not only as an overdate, but also as a misplaced date. This variety is elusive in all Mint State grades, the present bidding opportunity worthy of serious consideration.

***Auction Highlight*** 1882 $5 Large Size National Currency "Brown Back" Uniona National Bank Of Sc

Lot # 96 (Sale Order: 81 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** 1882 $5 Large Size National Currency "Brown Back" Uniona National Bank Of Schenectady, NY James Garfield Fr-477 Grades vf+. 1882 $5 brown b...moreack bank notes this bank issued. Each note has a portrait of James Garfield on the left hand side of the bill. These are very popular with collectors because they have different text layouts. The Congressional Act of July 12, 1882 created the Second Charter Period, the notes of which bear the designation, “Series of 1882.” The purpose of the Act was to make it possible for the banks chartered in 1863 and later to renew their charters at the end of their 20 year term, and also to enable newly organized banks to acquire an initial charter. New notes were designed to mark the transition and in all, three types of notes were issued during this period. These were first placed in circulation in 1882 by two classes of banks; by old banks originally chartered in 1863 and then re-chartered in 1882, and by new banks organized and chartered between July 12, 1882 and April 11, 1902. Brown backs were issued from 1882 to 1908, and would no doubt have continued until 1922 had it not been for passage of the Aldrich-Vreeland Act which resulted in the issuance of the second type

***Auction Highlight*** 1918-s Standing Liberty Quarter 25c Graded ms65+ FH By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 112 (Sale Order: 97 of 741)

***Auction Highlight*** 1918-s Standing Liberty Quarter 25c Graded ms65+ FH By SEGS. 0 An overall brilliant Gem plus example. The luster thick & rich and is uniform ...moreand satiny, cartwheeling over the fields and devices without disruption. Liberty's head is sharply sculpted, offering profile detail that is seldom seen on this issue. Thoroughly original and deeply attractive. The mintage for the 1918-S came in at 11,072,000 pieces, of which perhaps as few as 100 pieces survive in Gem Mint State condition, and only 50 or so of those show Full Head detail. Noted Standing Liberty quarter specialist J. Cline calls this date one of the toughest dates in the series to acquire in Gem Full Head form, and data from the certification services corroborates this statement. Among all the major grading companies less than 25 finer through MS-67 FH (finest known), asserting the present pieces as one of the finest survivors of the issue.
