WELCOME TO THE AUCTION

Lot # 1

Just to Reiterate from our terms and conditions: I do my best to estimate the grade/condition of the coins, but please note, unless specifically mentioned in the descrip...moretion, I do not guarantee grade or condition. I DO ALWAYS GUARANTEE 100% AUTHENTICITY, on an immediate buyback including any premium paid. But please understand, if you win a coin and receive it and send it out to one of the grading companies and it comes back graded less than I estimated or "genuine but Ungradeable", we will not buy back that coin. No refunds will be issued. Please understand this and look at the large pictures and make your own decision on the grade/condition. I do my best to give you my best estimate and your repeat attendance at my auctions is what I strive for, so I always attempt to give my best description/estimate of the coins being auctioned.

1991 Russia (Soviet) 1 Ruble Banknote P# 237a Grades Select CU

Lot # 821

1991 Russia (Soviet) 1 Ruble Banknote P# 237a Grades Select CU. The "Sixth Soviet Ruble" was issued first in 1961, and the designs for both the non-commemorative c...moreoins and paper currency of the Soviet Union almost remained identical from 1961 nearly until the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Briefly before the Soviet Union fell, there was the monetary reform of 1991 and the release of the Seventh Soviet Ruble, with designs that were fairly similar to the 1961 Rubles. Interestingly, the 500 Ruble note only existed for 2 days before the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the 1000 Soviet Ruble note only came into existence 3 months after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Some Soviet banknotes were printed and remained in use in various ex-Soviet states in 1992-1993, still utilizing the 1991 Soviet designs.

1922 Germany (Weimar) 500 Marks Post-WWI Hyperinflation Banknote P# 74b Grades vf+

Lot # 837

1922 Germany (Weimar) 500 Marks Post-WWI Hyperinflation Banknote P# 74b Grades vf+. In the early 1920s, post-WWI Germany saw its economy spiraling out of control. ...moreHyperinflation started directly after the war in 1918, but truly took over the Weimar Republic from 1921 to 1923. The value of the Mark declined incredibly rapidly. 1 USD was equal to 50 German Marks at the beginning of 1920. Toward the end of 1923, 1 USD was equal to over 4,200,000,000,000 German Marks. At times, denominations of the Mark became less valuable than the paper and labor to print it almost immediately after printing. Thus, denominations of the Mark notes became incredibly large, ending up in the tens of trillions.
