Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 1998-1999 with 30 Coins Ins

Lot # 2402 (Sale Order: 3 of 1912)

Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 1998-1999 with 30 Coins Inside!. Group of 2 United State Mint Set from 1998-1999 included ...morea total of 30 coins. In many ways, the 1998 Mint Set represented the end of an era. The 1998 Mint Set contained the final Washington Quarters before the obverse design would be modified and the reverse would feature five different annual designs commemorating the states. The other coins included were the Kennedy Half Dollar, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent. The ten coins were packaged in two separate mylar packs with tokens representing the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. The outer envelope depicted the circulating coins against a blue background and specifically displayed the reveres design of the quarter. The envelope carried the title “From the United States Mint… The 1998 Uncirculated Coin Set”. An additional message was included at the bottom of the envelope: “This collector’s set includes two 1998 Washington Quarter Dollars. This is the last time the heraldic eagle reverse will appear until at least 2009.” The 1999 Mint Set saw the number of coins increased to 18, and separate envelopes would be provided for the Philadelphia and Denver Mint coins to accommodate the larger format. The expansion of the set was the result of the launch of the 50 State Quarters Program. The quarter dollar would feature five different reverse designs per year, featuring the states in the order they joined the union. Each 1999 Mint Set contained the first five quarter designs featuring Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut. The additional coins included the 1999 Lincoln Cents, Jefferson Nickels, Roosevelt Dimes, and Kennedy Half Dollars. For each coin, there was one example each from the Philadelphia and Denver Mint facilities. Packaging consisted of two separate envelopes themed in blue and red. The blue envelope contained the nine coins produced at the Philadelphia Mint, while the red envelope contained the coins of the Denver Mint. A complete set as issued consists of both envelopes and all of the coins pictured above.

Lot # 2405 (Sale Order: 6 of 1912)

1957B $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades Choice AU/BU Slider. On June 4th 1963, President Kennedy issued Executive Order 11110, ordering that silver certificat...morees be phased out. No one knew it would be his last executive order, and no one knew that it would make these 1957-B Silver Certificates sought-after collectibles today. His order caused folks to take notice and save a small number of these 1957-B $1 Silver Certificates-they were only 14% of the total 1957 Silver Certs printed. These silver certificates feature George Washington, a blue seal, and the following wording: “Silver Certificate This certifies that there is on deposit in the treasury of The United States of America One Dollar In silver payable on demand”

Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 1972-1973 with 24 Coins Ins

Lot # 2410 (Sale Order: 11 of 1912)

Group of 2 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! From 1972-1973 with 24 Coins Inside!. Group of 2 United State Mint Set from 1972-1973 included ...morea total of 24 coins struck at three different mint facilities. Each set is comprised of three Lincoln Cents (P, D, S), two Jefferson Nickels (P, D), two Roosevelt Dimes (P, D), two Washington Quarters (P, D), two Kennedy Half Dollars (P, D). On top of that, for first time, dollar coins were included in a government packaged uncirculated coin set, the 1973 Mint Set included the Eisenhower Dollars struck at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, notably the Eisenhower Dollars were not issued for circulation, creating a low mintage key date for the series. For the 1972 Sets, the Denver Mint coins and plastic disc were placed in a cellophane marked with a red stripe and the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mint coins were placed in a separate cellophane with a blue stripe. Together they were placed between two cardboard inserts and placed within a white envelope. For the 1973 set the five Denver Mint coins were included in one cellophane with red edges. The six Philadelphia Mint and one San Francisco Mint coin were included in a separate cellophane with blue edges. Both were placed between light cardboard within a white envelope with markings indicating “U.S. Mint” and “1973 Uncirculated Coin”. This was a change from prior years of issue.

Group of 2 United States Mint Proof Sets 2005-2006 21 coins.

Lot # 2422 (Sale Order: 21 of 1912)

Group of 2 United States Mint Proof Sets 2005-2006 21 coins.. Group of 2 United States Proof Sets 2005-2006 21 coins. The 2005 Proof Set was the second year that t...morehe annual proof set contained contained 11 coins. The increased number of coins was due to the Westward Journey series, which issued two nickels. Each set included the five 2005 State Quarters honoring California, Minnesota, Oregon, Kansas, and West Virginia. The two Westward Journey Nickels featured the American Bison and the Ocean in View. The remaining coins were the Sacagawea Dollar, Kennedy Half Dollar, Roosevelt Dime, and Lincoln Cent. The number of coins went down to 10 in the 2006 Proof Set this year due to the Jefferson Nickel using a permanent new obverse design paired with the classic Monticello reverse. Each 2006 Proof Set contained the five 2006 Sate Quarters honoring Nevada, Nebraska, Colorado, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This represented the eighth year of the series and the thirty-fifth to fortieth states to join the Union. The remaining coins were the 2006-dated Sacagawea Dollar, Kennedy Half, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, and Lincoln Cent. Packaging for the Proof Sets remained the same as established for the launch of the State Quarters Program in 1999. The Statue of Liberty appears on blue color schemed outer box. The coins inside are sealed in two separate plastic lenses with a certificate of authenticity.
