2013 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging

Lot # 27 (Sale Order: 20 of 1370)

2013 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging. The 2013 Mint Set contained uncirculated versions of fourteen different coins struck at both the Phil...moreadelphia and Denver Mint facilities. The large number of coins included in the set was the result of multiple ongoing series which featured different designs. The America the Beautiful Quarters Program featured five designs representing White Mountain National Forest, Perry’s Victory International Peace Memorial, Great Basin National Park, Fort McHenry National Monumnet, and Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The Presidential $1 Coin Program featured four designs honoring William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and Woodrow Wilson. The remaining coins in the set were the 2013-dated Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, and Native American Dollar with a design commemorating the Treaty with the Delawares. The packaging was slightly redesigned starting this year. The outer portion of the folder carried flag imagery rather than the plain black background seen in recent prior years.

1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Unc Details

Lot # 28 (Sale Order: 21 of 1370)

1927-p Peace Dollar $1 Grades Unc Details. The 27-p is the big sleeper of numismatics in my opinion. It has the 2nd lowest mintage in the whole Peace dollar series. Lo...morewer than the 34-s, the 21-p, yet it does not command its proper value. Good coin to own multiple of and save, in my opinion, but if you've been coming to our auctions for a while you will have seen that this has always been my opinion.

1981 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging

Lot # 31 (Sale Order: 23 of 1370)

1981 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging. The 1981 Mint Set has been viewed as a key issue since its initial release. The set contains three co...moreins, which were not issued for circulation, but only struck for inclusion within the sets. Similar situations would occur on a few other occasions and each of these sets carries a certain mystique. For what was long considered the final year of the series, the 1981 Susan B. Anthony Dollar was struck only for inclusion within the 1981 Uncirculated Mint Set. Besides the noted dollar coins, each set included circulation strike coins P&D Susan B.Anthony P&D Kennedy Half Dollars, P&D Washington Quarters, P&D Roosevelt Dimes, P&D Jefferson Nickels, and P&D Lincoln Cents. These were packaged in cellophane packs within a plain white envelope.
