Gaetano Esposito (1858-1911). Neapolitan genre portrait of Il Spadaro (the old fisherman of Capri). Watercolor. Signed lower right. Extremely well painted - image seems to jump off the paper. Nicely framed - ready to hang. Il Spadaro was a real person; Francesco Spadaro, who along with his brother Giovanni and their families lived in Marina Piccolo on Capri.
