(C) NICKEL PLATED & ENGRAVED COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER (1905).

Lot # 2026 (Sale Order: 26 of 390)      

Manufactured circa 1905 as per serial number. 3 - 3/4" shortened barrel with blade front sight, normal notch rear sight in top strap. .45 Colt caliber marking on left side of barrel. Engraved in approximate B class coverage with design consisting of scroll accented with punch dot backgrounds and crosshatch shading, with further decoration of stars and rays. Signed by N.C. Foster, dated 1993, on the underside of the barrel and partly visible with ejector rob blocking parts of signature. Two piece ivory grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Very good as custom embellished by Foster. Retains virtually all of the reapplied nickel finish with some minor marks from handling and storage, and a very small area of copper verdigris on the left side of the blade sight with some bubbling of nickel. Mechanically fine, rifling is very good with some minor spots of oxidation. Grips are ill fit and have gaps. Lot # 2027 (Sale Order: 27 of 390)      

1902 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 222196. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .38 Winchester Centerfire with 2-line barrel address, blade front sight, and frame notch rear. 2-piece replacement Colt checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt in an oval on either side. CONDITION: Good as partially rehabilitated, with barrel retaining a slight majority of its original bluing with areas of finish loss on bottom of barrel and light age related pitting throughout. Evidence of polishing and heavy cleaning on ejector rod housing, trigger guard, and backstrap. Frame and cylinder retain most of an old refinish with light freckling throughout. Center pin and loading gate appear to be modern replacement parts. Cylinder center hole has been drilled out and bushed for a better fit. Replacement grips are proud to frontstrap but are strong with no major signs of distress. Action is tight. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Would make an excellent shooter. Lot # 2028 (Sale Order: 28 of 390)      

Standard configuration of a Colt 3rd Generation Colt Single Action Army with 7 - 1/2" barrel in .45 Long Colt. Fire blued screws with 2 piece walnut stocks retained by central retaining screw and Colt golden medallion. Revolver is well engraved and nickel plated by Weldon Lister, an acknowledged FEGA master engraver, in a tasteful American/Nimschke scroll pattern accented with punch dot engraving and crosshatch shading in approximately C class coverage, including a wolf motif hammer. Engraving is signed by Lister underneath the barrel, just on the frame under the cylinder axis pin. Backstrap is engraved "Wm. Barrett Morris", which accompanying paperwork indicates was intended for Michael C. Barrett to give to his relative, William Barrett Morris but the gun was never given for some reason. Barrett was a long time customer of Lister and paperwork further indicates that Barrett singlehandedly kept Lister in business during the 2008-2009 recession. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the nickel finish with some minor clouding and spots of discoloration. Fire blue is fading on high points but very good overall. Grips are very good with some minor handling marks but are ovesized and not of a quality fit. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling and some darkness in grooves. This is a lovely gun engraved by an acknowledged master. Right grip with matching serial number marked internally. Tyler T grip style grip adaptor. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the bluing with some silvering to high edges and marks throughout from handling and storage. Cylinder has a minor turn line. Grips are very good, heavily hand rubbed, with a chp on left grip and a crack at bottom of left grip. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Typical trademark on the left side of the frame. Standard company address on the right side of the frame. Caliber marking on the right side of the barrel, with "SMITH & WESSON" on the left. Standard blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory scroll engraving on the barrel, frame, and cylinder with a nickel finish throughout. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Original smooth finish wood grips with "S&W" medallions. Includes factory light blue velvet lined wood display case, cleaning tools, papers, and cardboard shipping box. Brass plaque on the top of the case is marked "SMITH & WESSON/MODEL 24/.44 SPECIAL/1 OF 25/FACTORY/A PLUS ENGRAVED". CONDITION: Metal retains 99% of its original finish with little signs of handling. Correct Colt Gold Cup Trophy rollmark on left side of slide. Lightened commander style hammer. 3 hole trigger. Downswept grip safety. Colt partial wraparound checkered rubber grips with silver medallions. Checkered flat mainspring housing. Housed in the original Colt blue plastic box, with end label identifying this gun by serial number. Accessories include manual, lock, test target matching gun by serial number, extra magazine, and spare recoil spring. Barrel with "COLT 45 AUTO" on lower left side of breech, "P" on left side of lug, "G" in front of lug. Small parts have been gold washed (recoil spring guide only has tip washed). Top of frame has partially visible "RS" inspection and "G". Custom mother of pearl grips with central Colt pony and forest scenes. CONDITION: Pistol retains virtually all of the factory finish and may be new old stock with only some extremely minor marks. Grips are excellent and free of cracks of chips. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Case is fine. Accessory parts are very good and appear to have been taken from a different gun, with evidence of firing and use throughout. Pre-Ban Colt Model SP1 semi-automatic rifle with box and accessories. Made 1982. Classic A1 flash hider, bayonet lug, and no forward assist. Left side of the receiver is marked with the Colt pony logo and "COLT/AR-15". Below that, markings read "CAL.223 / MODEL SP1 / SER. SP167874". The barrel is marked "C MP CHROME BORE". Correct "C" marked on the bolt. Original post front sight with an adjustable rear. Factory phosphate finish and polymer furniture. Plastic butt plate with trapdoor. Includes original nylon sling, cleaning kit, manual, and 6 magazines, all in the serial matching cardboard box. Magazines include 3 Colt 20-round aluminum magazines, 2 Colt 30-round magazines, and a 40-round metal magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish, with a few scuffs and some dried grease on the left side of the receiver. Furniture has some scuffs but is excellent overall. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Rifle looks to be unfired from the factory. Mechanically fine. Accessories are all excellent, with most being sealed. Magazines all have light wear. This is one of the 1836 semi-automatic rifles imported by Browning Arm Company of Arnold, MO between 1959-1963, and is listed by serial number as exempted from the provisions of the National Firearms Act in accordance with ATF O 7540.1. – This rifle will NOT fire full-auto despite appearance of “S A R” on receiver next to selector. G1717 serial number on underside of receiver forward of magazine well with matching “1717” on handgrip. Rifle has a Leopold M8-4X scope mounted to upper which conceals Browning Arms Co markings, and includes a leather sling, original sheet metal upper cover, and 3 magazines. Rear sight base graduated to 600 meters present without sliding rear sight due to presence of scope. HK semi-automatic civilian version of the G3 battle rifle. 18" barrel with flash hider, protected post front sight, with aperture rear sight with drum adjustments. Clip-on brass deflector mounted to top tube. Wooden forearm with vent holes. Rotating bipod mounted behind forearm. Left side of magazine well marked "HK 41 101289" over "1/74" date code. Right side with "MADE IN GERMANY / excl. for SACO / Arl. Va. 22 209 / Kal. 308". Trigger pack marked for SEF but unable to rotate to full auto position; left side of pack above web of grip marked "286" and stamped out. Both flapper and push button magazine release present and functional. HK wooden stock with distinct sling loop and eyelets for stock pins. Top of bolt carrier marked "HK 9/66" for 1966 production, bolt marked 9/73 for 1973 production. Barrel marked "HK HH" under forearm for 1977 manufacture. CONDITION: Very good, having been reparkerized, probably by H&K given the quality of the finish. There are some minor marks from handling and storage throughout, mostly small marks based around the bipod and rear sight, with one slightly longer strike just ahead of the ejection port. Wooden forearm has the normal 2 divots cut in by the bipod feet. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling. Breech face shows minimal evidence of use. This is a nice example.
