EARLIEST PFLUEGER NEVERFAIL MUSKALLONGE MINNOW IN GREEN CRACKLEBACK

Lot # 1308 (Sale Order: 308 of 622)

At 5" long, this beefy Musky Neverfail Minnow was never cataloged and, given its gem clip hangers, was likely produced in the early 1910s, possibly even slightly before that. Unlike their Monarch Minnow cousins, these Musky Neverfails can be differentiated by their concentric, round bodies, as opposed to the Musky Monarch’s shaped body. Some very light oxidation on the hooks, but the body is super clean and grades solid Excellent. This example is incredibly well preserved, and given its condition and rarity, it would be a next-to-impossible task to upgrade.

3 - 1/4" Length. Mint condition No 1741 Frog mounted on its crisp card and its unique original maroon box. The end label is not the typical one you’d expect to find, rather, it is the “LABEL FOR PACKAGES NOT REGULAR PACKING” type. Written in pencil is the correct description of the accompanying lure, suggesting this combo was one of a gross when it left the factory. The box is solid all around and the Frog is a tougher to find variety with Bing’s style weed guards and an external belly weight.

PFLUEGER NEVERFAIL 3 HOOK UNDERWATER MINNOW IN GOLD

Lot # 1315 (Sale Order: 315 of 622)

3” length. Gold is not a listed color for this model and should be considered very rare on a Neverfail Minnow. Neverfail hangers and body style indicate this bait was likely made in the teens or twenties. Bait is original, except that the front prop and perhaps line tie have been changed out and there is now a Shakespeare rear-oriented prop in place. This could be easily restored if the new owner wishes to do so. A little bit of hook oxidation and a hairlined right eye have this bait hovering between Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus.
