This Neolithic polished stone axe head, dating between 7000 and 1700 B.C., is a beautiful example of ceremonial craftsmanship. Fashioned from a fine-grained dark stone and painstakingly smoothed across all surfaces, the axe is a testament to the ritual traditions of early farming cultures. Its petite proportions (58mm x 39mm x 14mm) and perfectly intact blade edge confirm its non-utilitarian purpose. Likely intended for religious or symbolic deposition, such votive axe forms are often discovered in grave contexts or sacred sites across Neolithic Europe.
