For your consideration is a singed Navajo Morenci Turquoise Squash Blossom necklace. This fine piece shows a large central Naja pendant, flanked on both sides by six blossoms. Each charm of the necklace is adorned with a a Morenci turquoise gemstone and delicately work floral leaves. Each pendant is strung onto a sterling silver bead chain. The Naja is signed by the artist P. FNE-STG. Overall, the necklace shows very good condition, showing a warm silver patina, indicative of age. When unclasped and stretched out, the necklace measures 29" long. The Naja alone measures 4" wide, and 4.25" tall.

The lot features an original Sioux Native American Indian fully beaded stone head war club with beaded drop dating to circa 1890. The piece shows a carved two pointed stone war club head that is secured to the wood haft handle with a wrap of parfleche rawhide that is covered in a a decorative Indian tanned hide that is fully beaded. The haft shows an Indian tanned hide covering that is completely adorned with glass trade seed beads in a random or "crazy" design using all available colors, all being period correct glass trade seed beads. The beadwork is both sinew and trade cotton thread sewn. At the base of the war club shows a typical fully beaded drop secured with trade thread. The drop is constructed of Indian tanned hide that is covered in a trade clothe. The entire front of the drop shows original glass trade seed beads in a traditional geometric pattern showing four triangular pattern. The beadwork shows a greasy yellow background with fancy cobalt border and cobalt, chalk white, medium green, and red white heart patterns. The bottom edge of the drop shows long hand cut Indian hide fringe. The war club is expertly crafted showing fine detail and is a prime example of late Indian wars, reservation period beadwork of the late 19th Century. Provenance: From a large Native American weapons and beadwork collection in Great Falls, Montana. The piece measures overall 20"L with a 5"W x 2.5" x 2" head. The war club has an additional 11"L beaded drop.

The belt shows Elk Indian tanned hide ends with the main construction being a U.S. Army annuity traded heavy tent clothe fabric. The belt is covered in period correct glass trade seed beads making an exceptional traditional geometric pattern. The beadwork shows a chalk white background with a cross symbol in semi-transparent red and blue and various other symbols in semi-transparent red, greasy yellow, sky padre blue and semi-transparent blue. The piece is all trade cotton thread sewn, as is typical of early reservation period pieces due to the U.S. Indian Agents not allowing much hunting and therefore harvesting of the parts for sinew. The ends show the original Indian tanned hide ties. At the end of the belt shows an older green museum collection identification tag that is marked "B375" and "CJ JJ". Offered for public purchase is this excellent authentic set of fully top beaded moccasins from the Gros Ventre Native American Indians of Northern Montana. The moccasins date to the first quarter of the 20th Century and show a museum quality construction. The circa 1900 set is sinew and trade thread sewn, a true attribute to its early age. The set show an Indian tanned Great American Bison Buffalo hide parfleche sole with sinew sewn thick Buffalo hide top having exceptional early period correct glass trade seed beadwork in a fantastic traditional geometric design. The beads include such colors as chalk white, corn yellow, cobalt, medium green, orange, and red white hearts. The moccasins show a very fine geometric pattern in a desirable Buffalo track design. The set shows a very fine construction and large size along with little bead loss. The moccasins show the correct patina and age to be from circa 1900 including a fine worn foot print on the sole (the sole has separated slightly on the left example and is separated at the toes on the other example). The set also shows a fine beaded bifurcated (forked) tongue. The Gros Ventre Indian tribe (also referred to as the A'ani, A'aninin, Haaninin, and Atisina) are a Algonquian speaking people from the North Central Montana region. The Gros Ventre's migrated to Montana in the 18th Century due to pressure from the Ojibwe Indians. Measures overall 10.5"L sole that is 4.25" across approx. The heel is 4.25"H when elevated. Provenance: From a Northwestern Montana collection. A similar quality set of Gros Ventres moccasins from the 19th Century was sold for $3,900 at our 8/5/2017 auction.

This is an original handmade bowie hunting knife from the Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana. The piece features a D2 high-carbon, high-chromium, air hardening tool steel that makes for an effective combination of wear resistance and toughness. The knife has been forged from D2 Tool Steel and then blacksmith hammered along the blade for a rustic natural iron appeal. Forged Damascus Steel Pipe Tomahawk

Featured in this lot is a contemporary Native American Indian style pipe tomahawk with leather sheath. The piece is finely crafted of Damascus steel, making up the head of the tomahawk, the bowl, and mouth-piece. The head of the tomahawk is finished with symmetrical notches across the top and bottom of the axe head . The fine metal work is accented well by a hardwood handle, showing a rich brown finish, and additionally set off with simple, yet elegant carvings. The sheath shows wonderful deep brown leather with decorative patterns and the head of a buck pressed into the leather. The tomahawk shows very-good condition overall. The piece measures 17 3/4" long from top to bottom, 5" wide from the blade to the rim of the bowl, and 1 1/4" thick at the handle.

Finlen Hotel Cast Iron Laundry Stove

For your consideration is an antique Finlen Hotel cast iron laundry stove. This beautiful kerosene laundry stove was taken out of the Finlen Hotel in Butte Montana in the 1960's. The stove comes with two irons. The piece remains in good condition with cast iron clawed feet. The kerosene tank is marked "Quick Meal Stove Co. a Division of American Stove Co. St. Louis U.S.A." The burners appear to be operational but untested. The hand pump to prime the tank and pipes to the burners is constructed out of brass and has a wooden handle. The piece measures 15 1/2" x 19" x 18". The story goes that this laundry stove and irons were used to iron the Copper King Augustus Heinze's shirts when he stayed at the Hotel.

The piece is wearing a red, white, and blue patriotic wrap with feather details in the front. He is also holding a bundle of cigars in his left hand and saluting with his right. The cigar store Indian has been used since the early 1800's. Due to language barriers, the cigar store Indian placed outside would let patrons know where to buy tobacco. The piece shows great detail. The carved wooden Indian is in good condition, with some wear. There is some paint chipping and a crack on the base. Measures: 39" H X 9"W.

Included for your consideration in this lot is an EXCEPTIONAL example of a late production Winchester 1890 Pump Action rifle, chambered in .22 short. The rifle was produced between 1890, and 1932. Production of receivers ceased in 1932, though final cleanup of dead-stock was put to use up until 1941 - prior to the permanent discontinuation of the rifle, due to our entrance of World War II. Actual production between these numbers was about 12,171 guns." This particular final production example utilizes a corn cob style walnut for-grip, and straight style butt-stock, with a steel crescent butt-plate, additionally showing the original buckhorn rear sight and original short blade/bead front sight. lastly, the rifle has a gorgeous 24" full octagon barrel, and a standard magazine tube. The rifle displays all of its correct style markings, including ""Winchester - Trade Mark - Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. & FGN." on the upper tang, Serial Number on the lower tang, and on the bottom of the receiver - in front of the trigger assembly, and "Made in U.S.A. Winchester Repeating Arms CO. New Haven, CONN. PAT. June 26. 88. DEC. 6. 92. NOV. 27. 06. MAY 30. 1911. - MODEL 90.-.22 Short." on the left side of the barrel, in front of the rear sight. Overall, the rifle shows very good condition, with a fantastic BRIGHT bore, very light handling marks on the walnut pieces, and a nice tight action. Serial Number: 634920. This shotgun holds five rounds in the magazine. The Winchester Model 1897 was designed by John Browning. The Model 1897 is an external hammer shotgun lacking a trigger disconnector. This means that the user can hold the trigger down while cycling the shotgun and once the action is returned to battery the shotgun fires. The firearm itself is classified as a slide action pump shotgun. It was the first truly successful pump-action shotgun produced.
