Rice Mercantile Cigar Co. Manufacturers St. Louis, MO. Patented Nov. 13th, 1894 Dec. 11th, 1894 Jan 15, 95". The humidor is in good condition. The lip of the jar does have minor chipping consistent with age. The humidor measures 5.25" in diameter and is 5" tall.

Sioux Beaded Possibles Tepee Bag 19th C. Beads

The lot features a Sioux Native American Indian wonderfully beaded possibles tepee bag. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide construction with green/blue ocher mineral dye and excellent 19th century glass trade pony beads in semi-transparent greasy yellow, padre sky blue, semi-transparent white, medium blue, and red. The bag shows long fringe along three sides with early black trade clothe sealing the stitch. The bag shows very good condition and displays very well. Measures overall 11"x18.5" with additional 4.75"L top strap.

Sioux Beaded Corn Stalk Tobacco Bag c. 1890-1910

Lot # 33 (Sale Order: 42 of 538)      

This is a wonderful Sioux Native American Indian corn stalk fetish beaded bag from circa 1890-1920. The bag shows Indian brain tanned hide construction with excellent glass trade seed beads in miniature greasy yellow, corn yellow, chalk white, semi-transparent blue, transparent tube, miniature chalk white, and various glass tube beaded fringe. The piece shows musuem quality condition. The entire piece has a fancy beaded edge with both sides showing the pictorial corn stalk effigy design bearing crop in different positions. The piece also comes with six various Plains Native American Indian early knapped arrowhead artifacts in various shapes. This is all displayed in a 8.25"x12.25" glass top display box. Bag is 4 3/8"W x 9.25"L.

German Exquisitely Carved Wooden Hutch 19th C.

Lot # 40 (Sale Order: 50 of 538)      

This is an outstanding early German heavy carved wooden hutch from the 19th century. This is an impressively carved German hutch, the detail is a testament to the skill of the carver. The piece was imported from Germany many years ago. This hutch comes apart into three separated pieces for transport. Both pieces show a traditional spoon carved accents with rich detail. The top and bottom doors have heavily carved German Black Forest style carvings with a checkered file like background. The doors also show a unique original early locking mechanism with skeleton key (for top only) that pushes the two locking lugs into the frame. It measures This piece is in good condition for its age, 19th century, with some signs of wear. cabinet counter has slight slit and veneer separation.
