For your consideration is a Navajo Native American Tommy Singer sterling Kachina Buffalo Dancer bolo tie. Tommy Singer was a Navajo silversmith who specialized in chip-inlay jewelry. His inlaid turquoise, coral, and silver pieces incorporated traditional Navajo designs. Singer gained acclaim as the originator of the chip inlay design which he developed in the 1970s. Singer was a member of the Navajo Nation from Winslow, Arizona. He perfected his craft working on the Navajo reservation in a small studio surrounded with his family and other tribal members. This sterling silver Kachina dancer shows immense detail and wonderful silversmith work. This large piece adorns a thick braided leather tie that is tip with sterling aglet tips. The aglet tips have a charm done in a traditional design in sterling silver. The braided leather tie also has two sterling silver and yellow gold accent pieces above the aglets. The tie measures 23.5" and the bolo measures 6.5" x 1.75". The necklace, which shows an incredible sterling silver construction is signed "T. SINGER STERLING". This is considered to be Tommy Singer's masterpiece and one of the best bolo ties on the public market.

The necklace is strung on an early original strand and is truly a wonderful authentic circa 1920's set. The necklace measures 16" long.

The lot features an exceptional large set of raw Branch Coral necklace from the Navajo Native American Indians. Necklace total weight is 2,548.5 carats (509.7 grams). The set shows a sterling silver clasp and is thought to be of a considerable early age that has been re-strung. The necklace is composed of 34 individual nuggets of branch deep ox blood coral showing a natural un-dyed coloring. These coral nuggets show a deep red color. What is truly unique about these nuggets is the depth of the vanes from the coral and how the color runs the full length of the vanes. The nuggets are strung in a graduated pattern with the largest pieces at the center of the necklace and the smaller pieces towards the clasp. Unstrung the necklace measures 22.5" and the largest branch coral nugget measures roughly 1.5" in diameter. The coral appears to have an original un-dyed bright red coloring and is truly a rare original piece.

Revolutionary War c. 1776 Spontoon or Plug Bayonet

This is a spectacular example of an American Revolutionary War spontoon or plug bayonet dating to circa 1775-1776. The piece shows a forged iron large blade showing a superb medium ridge that was finely blacksmith forged down the entirety of the blade. The spontoon blade employs every trick of the iron forger of the utmost quality showing four-sided tapering mount which comes to the raised lip which has the four curves of the blade culminate. The piece overall shows fine condition for its over 240 year old age with some pitting. This example of American Revolutionary War blade has been well documented with other examples being seen in “SWORDS AND BLADES of the AMERICAN REV WAR by George Neumann #83 PA” and in “Collectors Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution" by Neumann and Kravic, pages 219 and 248. A spontoon blade can also be referred to as a half-spike, short spike, plug bayonet, partisan pole-arm, lance, halberd. Provenance: From a large American Indian collection in Billings. The piece shows a heavy iron forged bowie knife clip point blade which is paired with a set of heavy large Rocky Mountain Elk antlers having an elk tine finger gaurd. The deeply colored beautiful elk stag antlers are attached to the tang with three iron studs having poured pewter ends. The knife is fitted with a lining of copper around the handle joints. The lot features an original Sioux Native American Indian fully beaded awl case dating to the late 19th Century. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide construction with exceptional glass trade seed petit beads in a linear geometric design. The all period correct beadwork shows such colors as chalk white, greasy yellow and semi-transparent translucent Cheyenne pink. At the ends of the long four pieces of fully beaded fringe each shows petit rolled tin jingle cones. The piece shows the original top tie strap and has a wooden dowl inserted to keep its shape. The piece overall is in good to fair condition with little bead loss, one piece of fringe has had the bead loss drop from the piece, but the strand of beads are still attached as shown. Provenance: From a large Native American weapons and beadwork collection in Great Falls, Montana. The piece measures overall 15”L with an additional 6” at the top for the strap.

The lot features a set of Flathead Native American Indian beaded moccasins dating to the 19th Century. The moccasins originate from Montana and show an Indian tanned hide upper construction with Great American Bison Buffalo parfleche rawhide soles that are sinew sewn. The set shows a medium to high height ankle which wraps around the long tongue. The fronts of each moccasin show a cross like pattern in all period correct 19th Century glass trade seed beads of semi-transparent translucent Cheyenne pink, semi-transparent translucent green, sky padre blue and chalk white. The soles of the moccasins show the worn outlines of feet from many years of use. The set overall is very well preserved showing very good condition for its age with no major damage and little to no bead loss. Each moccasin measures 7"L by 4 1/2"H x 3"W.

Featured in this lot we have a carved wooden bear from Big Sky Carvers. The bear was hand carved by Jeff Flemming of Big Sky Carvers in Manhattan, Montana. This piece is made of solid wood and is hand carved and painted. Big Sky Carvers has since moved from Manhattan, Montana and the wood carving division has been permanently closed. The bear is shown standing on its hind legs while holding a trout by the tail. The bear is painted black with the deep gold of the wood showing on the paws and face with the trout showing colors of white, green, and orange. The side of the bear shows a brass plaque on the base reading "Big Sky Bears - Solid Western Pine - Jeff Flemming - Big Sky Carvers Manhattan Montana - USA". The bear shows good condition overall with minor wear. The bear measures 6 3/4" wide by 7" deep and 32 3/4" tall.

The piece shows a solid walnut construction and is all hand carved. The piece comes from a long time western collector in Colorado who purchased the piece from Brian Lebel’s Old West Auction many years ago. The piece shows wonderful detail showing a cowboy wearing wooly chaps on a bucking bronco horse in mid-leap. The cowboy appears to be of African American Descent making this an excellent Black Americana piece. The carving is marked on the haunches "H R". The piece shows good condition overall and measures 15" long by 7" wide and 18" tall.

This is a scarce early edition of "Indian Why Stories: Sparks from War Eagle's Lodge-Fire" written by Frank Linderman and illustrated by Charles Russell with a copyright date of 1915, Charles Scribner's Sons. This unusual edition bears a different cover from others seen here in the past. The cover is blue cloth with yellow lettering and design. The title page ascribes Blue Ribbon Books, Inc., New York as the publisher; "A Burt Book" The book is comprised of numerous Native American Indian folklore stories including "Why the Chipmunk's Back is Striped", "Why Blackfeet Never Kill Mice", "Why the Indians whip the Buffalo-Berries from the Bushes" and many more. The book is a renowned collaboration between Linderman and Russell who were good friends. The book is in good to very good condition. It measures 6.25" x 8.25".

From his start as an army scout during the westward expansion to the Buffalo Bill's Wild West, this book is an exciting read as Buffalo Bill's own words grace its pages. With the exception of a detached front cover, this book is in very good condition. It measures 6" x 8.5".

Round Up Cigars Advertising Lite-O-Phone

Offered in this lot is a Round Up Cigars advertising Lite-O-Phone manufactured by the Midwest Map Company. These Lite-O-Phones were used by many different company's to advertise products and were typically set in common places like hotel lobbies. The Lite-O-Phone is plugged into a standard 110 volt socket and upon picking up the headset the lighter will heat up allowing your cigar or cigarette to be lit. This Lite-O-Phone shows an advertisement for Round Up cigars from Celestino Costello & Co which was the top cigar manufacturer in New York during the late 1890's. Their crate packing read "10,000 Round Up Cigars" which is present in the advertisement on the back of the phone. The front ad shows a cowboy sitting next to the lake with his horse and fire enjoying a Round Up cigar. The Lite-O-Phone is in very good condition for its age with minor loss of finish mostly to the lighting mechanism. The cigar lighter has been tested and does work. It measures 10.5" x 7.5" x 11".

The blade is marked "Great Falls Montana Lee". The guard and pommel are made of brass with a wood grip. The sheath is made of black and brown leather with pressed designs along the sides and images of flowers, elk, and butterfly.

The introductory price was $99.95 for the basic walnut cabinet. This radio features the "squared-circle" version of the black dial, all of the controls at each corner and lower center of the dial. Starting with top left dial is the voice, music, high fidelity dial. The top right is sensitivity control. The bottom left is the volume control. The last dial is the Band control. The measurements of this radio are 40" x 24 1/2" x 13".

Early Antique Copper Turkish Spice & Nut Box

For your bidding pleasure is this copper patina Turkish spice and nut box dating to the early 1900's. This Box is in good shape for its age, although not identified has a warm copper with patina on the inside of the box and on some of the smaller compartments inside of the box which there are five of them and a silver gilded tray on top of these compartments. With a pressed floral design to the outside of the box. Both the handle and the latch on the front of the box are in good working condition, with four feet that the box sits on. The measurements of this box are 4 1/2" x 10" x 7 1/4".
For your bidding pleasure is this copper patina Turkish spice and nut box dating to the early 1900's. This Box is in good shape for its age, although not identified has a...more warm copper with patina on the inside of the box and on some of the smaller compartments inside of the box which there are five of them and a silver gilded tray on top of these compartments.
