Signed Navajo Sterling & Turquoise Charm Necklace

This lot contains a signed Navajo Native American Indian squash blossom or charm necklace. The necklace is composed of beautiful sterling silver winglet charms, and seven gorgeous nuggets of Cripple Creek turquoise. The chain of the necklace is made of hand rolled sterling silver links. The main turquoise charm of the necklace is stamped "Sterling", indicating its .925% silver purity, as well, it is stamped with Navajo hallmark "S.A.B". The necklace is in good condition overall. The necklace measures 20 3/8" long when unclasped and stretched out. The largest center turquoise charm measures 1 3/8" tall, and 5/8" wide.

Available for purchase is this Large Civil War Style Confederate D-Guard forged iron Bowie Knife. The knife features a heavy forged like blade, matching D-Guard and 1-piece wood handle/grip. Overall the piece measures 14 inches in length making it a larger size fighting side knife that was particularly popular with soldiers of the Confederacy. Numerous Civil War photos exist showing southern volunteers with their muskets and various size D-Guard Bowies. The knife features a weathered one-piece wood grip with the wood and metal having a heavy pitted oxidized finish. Wonderful rare piece done in the style of a Civil War/Confederate display piece seldom offered. Provenance: From the personal collection of Darryl Fisher. Age and origin of the piece are not confirmed.

The lot features a Crow Native American Indian Buffalo parfleche rawhide polychrome pigment painted flat envelope case attributed to being from the 19th Century. The piece shows a geometric polychrome mineral pigment painted traditional design done on heavy Parfleche Rawhide created from a Buffalo Hide. The case shows wonderful construction and a traditional early classic design. The piece has modern Indian tanned hide ties as shown. This comes from a historical Old Western and Native American Indian collection in Bozeman, Montana. The piece has a similar design and age to that of a few classic pieces listed at previous auctions such as the Cheyenne Parfleche listed at Heritages 6/14/2008 auction for $18,000 to $22,000, the Plains Parfleche case sold for $3,250 at Allard’s 8/13/2011 auction, and the Crow Parfleche Envelope that sold for $2,500 at Brian Lebel’s Old West Show & Auction 6/25/2011. The piece appears to be in fine original condition with no major damage and excellent displayed polychrome mineral paint. Measures 27”H x 13.5”W x 2”D.

The lot features a terrific turn of the 19th Century Cheyenne Native American Indian fully beaded cradle board papoose cover. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide construction with long cut fringe accenting the bottom and a section of fully beaded Buffalo hide attached, adding to the art appeal and splendor of the piece. The piece shows all early 19th century glass trade seed beads with a chalk white base and traditional geometric patterns in black, red, and medium green all being accented by the fully beaded rope like edge at the top, a truly quality addition. The base of the cradle cover shows a fancy beaded edging done in black glass trade beads. The piece is from the Ted and Lilly Jarvis Collection of Wyoming and from the Ben Thompson Collection. The item measures 28 inches overall in length to the end of the fringe. Truly a fine condition original piece.

This lot features a Joslyn Model 1864 12 Gauge Conversion Single Shot Shotgun. The shotgun features 30" barrel, external hammer, walnut stock, front bead sight, and breech action. The term Joslyn Rifle refers to a series of rifles produced in the mid-19th century. The term is often used to refer specifically to the Joslyn Model 1861/1862, which was the first mass-produced breech-loading rifle produced at the Springfield Armory. In 1871, 6,600 carbines as well as 1,600 rifles that had been converted to use the .50-70 Government centerfire cartridge were sold to France for use in the Franco-Prussian War. Many of these were seized by Germany, sold to Belgium and ultimately were converted to shotguns and shipped to Africa. This shotgun shows good condition, with handling wear and signs of use. Taxidermy Zebra Hide Pelt Rug

This lot contains a full-sized zebra hide pelt rug. The rug was prepared in such a way as to keep the mane and head. The rug which was prepared by a professional taxidermist, is mounted to a piece of black scalloped linen. The hide is in good condition overall, there is some minimal shedding, and slight discoloration from age. The rug mount measures 111 1/2" from nose to tail, and 67" wide between both hind legs.
This lot contains a full-sized zebra hide pelt rug. The rug was prepared in such a way as to keep the mane and head. Belgian Liege SxS Knife Percussion Pistol 1897-

This is an excellent and rare original Belgium Liege Side by Side Percussion Pistol with foldout knife dating to circa 1897-1923. The pistol is chambered in a 9mm caliber and shows bag shaped hardwood grips with side panels, a 4 ½” double side by side octagon barrels with 2 ¼” Trowel shaped spring-loaded blade that is retained at rest by a spring-loaded trigger guard. The underside of the barrels shows the common circular crown Liege Belgium proof that was first introduced in 1893 & the view stamp inspector mark for firearms “Perron”. Additionally, the firearm has the correct 1897-1923 black powder rifle proof mark of overlapping “E” proofs and the barrels are marked “1902 9.0 ‘EE’ A/E (a symbol proof) (Liege Belgium proof) 1 5”. The design of the blade is intended to snap open and latch by spring mechanism. These would have been used as personal protection firearms in Europe and the Old West along with being used for close contract fighting by gamblers and the such. The firearm shows traces of fire blue on the blade mechanism and trigger guard along with minor light marks throughout the grips, and a good overall antique appearance with even mellow patina. Blackpowder firearms does not requires an FFL or Background Check. NO FFL. Serial Number 15. Early small production firearm.

The map is marked on the top right corner with; "Compliments of C.J. Bassett, Commissioner of Immigration, Boise, Idaho - Department of the Interior, General Land Office - Hon. Binger Hermann, Commissioner. - State of Idaho - Compiled from the official records of the General Land Office & other sources under direction of Harry King, C.E. - Chief of Drafting Division G.L.O. - 1898". The map is in exceptional condition for the age, it does show some degrading edges, and has very slight yellowing to the paper. The map measures 47 1/2" tall, and 33 1/2" wide.

Beautiful decorative brass flask in uncleaned and remarkable condition with no serious dents or seam splits. These were usually paired with only the finest grades and most expensive side by side percussion shotguns. Most such flasks were plain or of inferior quality and were rarely maker-marked. This example is marked with one of the finest British maker’s names. Difficult to find in this excellent state of preservation with hang cords intact. Top of flask marked “JAMES DIXON & SONS, SHEFFIELD” over “IMPROVED PATENT.”

Rare Remington-Smoot New Model No.3 .38 Revolver

You are bidding on a Rare Remington-Smoot New Model No.3 .38 Nickel Revolver. One of the finest made small-belt/pocket-model revolvers of the post Civil War years, the Remington-Smoot revolvers were a direct competitor of the Colt line of revolvers. The Remington featured an unusual design in which the frame, barrel and ejector housing were all one piece, this making for an extremely strong and durable design that withstood hard use. This fine example, of which only approximately 6,000 were made, retains most of the original nickel finish as well as the original perfect condition Remington embossed black hard rubber checkered grips. The barrel is correctly marked, “E. REMINGTON AND SONS, ILION, N.Y. PAT. W. S. SMOOT OCT. 21, 1873.” Superior condition inside and out with only the trigger return spring weak and may only need a good cleaning. This revolver was manufactured from 1878-1888. NO FFL transfer or NICS background check required.

The Remington featured an unusual design in which the frame, barrel and ejector housing were all one piece, this making for an extremely strong and durable design that withstood hard use. This fine example, of which only approximately 6,000 were made, retains most of the original nickel finish as well as the original perfect condition Remington embossed black hard rubber checkered grips. The barrel is correctly marked, “E. REMINGTON AND SONS, ILION, N.Y. PAT. W. S. SMOOT OCT. 21, 1873.” Superior condition inside and out with only the trigger return spring weak and may only need a good cleaning. This revolver was manufactured from 1878-1888. NO FFL transfer or NICS background check required.
