There is an expected presence, though very light, of light surface pitting in spots in the bore. Mechanically sound and tight in lock-up! The one piece walnut grip has some dings and dents along the edges and bottom but is in great condition otherwise. And of course the icing on top of this beauty is that its is serial matched! Colt 1851 Navy .36 Caliber Revolver

Lot # 7

Here is an antique that might interest you! A Colt 1851 Navy percussion revolver with a .36 caliber bore. Unfortunately, at some time in the past, this revolver was refinished resulting in the cylinder roll stamp to be polished away and the Colt's Patent marking on the frame being faded/worn and just visible enough to confirm. The revolver is serial matched aside from the loading lever which is frustratingly close. As smaller parts typically have the last 3-4 digits of a serial, this one is 7415 while the serial of the revolver is 135415. So close! Mechanically, this revolver is sound and the lockup decently tight. Frame to barrel is nice and snug and the wedge take down easy. The address on the top flat of the barrel, while lightly worn, reads: -Address Col Saml Colt New-York US America- The walnut grip is in great condition with normal wearing from use and time. The bore is in great shape with minimal light pitting from black powder and decently crisp rifling lands. Though refinished, this is a fine piece to own!

Gasser-Kropatschek M1870 Montenegrin Revolver *Antique*

Lot # 12

Here's an interesting piece! A Gasser Pattern Revolver, Model 1870 chambered in 11.3x36mmR. This revolver has seen better days but is a piece of interesting history. In 1910 King Nicholas I of Montenegro proclaimed that all male citizens were members of a national militia and had both a right and a duty to own at least one Gasser Pattern revolver under penalty of law. This one is nickel plated that has largely worn away. The hammer spur has broken off. The trigger will actuate the double action of the hammer but must be manually reset due to a broken trigger return spring. The hand is either missing, worn or broken, evidenced by the cylinder not rotating on cycling of the trigger/hammer. There appear to be some seized parts, including the center pin. The ejector and its guide arm are missing. The grips appear to be horn! The engraving on the frame and cylinder is simple and elegant. One can only imagine the beauty of a firearm like this fresh off the line in the 1800s.

The lockup of the frame and barrel demonstrates some play. The bore looks to be in good condition with rifling appearing to be still sharp! The hard rubber grips are in great condition with very little surface wear from use and time.
