Savage 720 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Pre-War Military Shotgun C 1930s C&R WWII WW2
Shotgun Gauge: 12 GaugeMake: SavageModel: 720Serial # - Firearms: 64706Barrel Length: 26
Up for auction is a Savage 720 chambered in 12 Gauge. The date of manufacture is between 1930 and 1949. From our research, serial numbers before 70,000 were pre-war, meaning this was a commercial shotgun that was proofed and accepted into military service. The barrel measures 26 inches and features a smooth and reflective bore and a Modified choke. The wood furniture is in good shape, showing an expected amount of wear. There is a small crack in the grip. The receiver and barrel show a little wear on the edges and corners. The engraving on the receiver gives a touch more class to this beautiful humpback shotgun. Length of pull measures 14 inches. The action is smooth and easy to actuate. This would be an excellent shotgun for a collector of Savage shotguns, Brownings, or for someone dipping their toes into the world of shotguns.
