WWII German ADAC Automobile Club award silver cup
Interesting piece of history. Cup is engraved "Ehrenpreis, Gau Rheinland IV, A.D.A.C. and features a left facing Prussian Eagle with swastika which would likely make it 1933-1945 production and likely 1937. The engraving translates to Honor Award, Region Rhileland ( Western Germany). Not sure what the Roman #4 indicates. It is known that at least one of these identical cups was awarded to Adolph Hitler. The base of this cup does not have a regular stamp however there are very fain etched markings that I was not able to decipher entirely. I can make out MAC, 1937, the remainder is illegible without cleaning. It is believed the cup is Silver however it is not tested. Approx. 8.5" tall X 4-3/8".
