Bruce Springsteen Original Lyrics.

Lot # 1399 (Sale Order: 387 of 623)

2 Pages of Handwritten Lyrics. A Rare Gospel Song. Written for one of his back up singers. "I Hope I'm Here When He Comes" 30 Lines. Never before offered for sale, just uncovered. These prophetic lyrics penned by BruceSpringsteen, before the "Born to Run Days" of his career, reveal yet another facet of his spiritual side to the world. As the then, 21 year old references the return of Jesus, he shares how he hungers to be here on earth, the day we all standbefore God. This Circa 1971 snapshot of the Boss's heart has been kept private for more than 4 decades and now reveals another authentic snapshot of his larger-than-life songs and beliefs. His description of the angel Gabriel highlights hispersonal alignment with biblical truth, coupled with the conviction that he and the Lord are on the same side. Composed during a time of innocence, vulnerability, yet boldness by one of today's greatest living musicians. Please see scans for particulars.
