RAPID FIRE M76 SEMI AUTO RIFLE.

Lot # 1124 (Sale Order: 126 of 693)

Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# 25936. Bbl. 22". Original Zastava M76 rifle in the impressive 8mm chambering has always been a desirable offering. They first made their splash in the...more United States in 1986 w/ an initial order of 400 rifles, that would be in a configuration that today is known as pre-ban. It would be over a decade before imports would resume. In that period of time they had built a fairly strong following. It appeared that demand would finally be met when 2,000 more were approved for import & sold out in just over 10 days. In a disastrous turn of events the ATF declared every previously approved rifle to be a machine gun due to the oversight of the original mfg. installing a safety sear, which required a dreaded 3rd hole in the receiver. They were all recalled & every firearm was torch cut. Around that time Rapid Fire went to work to design a domestically mfg. variant & started an initial run of 50 utilizing parts from original guns. This example started life as a 26 lb billet of 4140 & several hundred machining operations later, came to life. Some may argue that the Rapid Fire version is superior to the original given details of the mfg. process such as the side mount scope rail being a machined portion of the receiver rather than riveted on like the originals. The new receiver sports #25935, matching the original parts kit including stock & bolt carrier. Trigger group is an adj. Red Star Arms assembly. Front sight base is integral w/ an M14 style flash hider & is protected post. Elevation adj. tangent rear sight graduated to 1000 yards. Sight radius just over 21". The operating system is a gas operated rotating bolt system like utilized in the AK47 platform & is adj. for gas pressure. Op rod terminated w/ a recoil buffer. Wood resembles teak. Matte black spray on finish. Includes correct mount outfitted w/ a ZRAC ON-M 76B scope w/ correct reticle for this rifle. Tritium no longer active. MAGS: 5-10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: volume 8 No. 12 Sept. 2005 issue of Small Arms Review Magazine including a feature article on this gun signed by the author. Blade bayonet & scabbard, cleaning kit, canvas scope cover & 4 piece canvas mag. pouch. CONDITION: wood exhibits scattered compressions typical of military issue firearms. Metal finish is consistent throughout all surfaces w/ only light thinning on areas of friction related to operation. Clean bore w/ well pronounced rifling. Functions correctly when cycled by hand. PROVENANCE: The Mark Genovese Collection. (19-3303 & 02-12660/JZ). MODERN. $1,200-1,600.

BROWNING MACHINE GUN 1919 DOUBLE SIZE A6 WORKING

Lot # 1125 (Sale Order: 127 of 693)

MODEL. Cal. .30. NSN. An enormous military classroom training, cutaway version of the iconic Browning M1919 A6. This classroom model of the Browning machine gun, cal. 30 ...moreis a true to scale, 2X enlarged reproduction of the actual weapon. Partially segmented in order to gain visual access to internal parts which are revealed in their portion of the cycle of operation. While enlarged classroom working models are only moderately rare this particular set up is the most complete example that this cataloger has ever encountered. It is unusual to find one of these still in the original mts. on a wooden base such as this one. It even includes an original copy of operation & maintenance manual published by Dept. of Navy, Office of Navel Research, Special Devices Center. Dated 1951. The sheer enormity of this display is difficult to fathom from only a written or verbal description and must be seen in person to be appreciated. From the rear pistol grip to the muzzle booster, it measures almost 80" in length. The entire internal fire control group including the belt feed mechanism is completely functional in order to assist students in understanding this complex feed system. Double size plastic rds. are fed from a double size cloth belt for an almost unobstructed view of the symphony of moving parts happening w/in the receiver. In a single stroke of the charging handle the cloth belt is pulled into the receiver w/ a rd. extracted from the belt & inserted into the face of the bolt. The bolt closes & the rd. is chambered for firing & the belt advanced to the next position. As the charging handle returns to the rear to start the cycle over the fired round is extracted & ejected from the bottom of the receiver. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1-29" cloth belt containing 24 functional dummy rds. 1 Operation & maintenance manual from the Office of Navel Research. CONDITION: every part of this unique mechanism functions exactly like it should. All parts are fluid & every operation from belt feeding through ejection cycle w/ ease. Areas that are open in order to view the mechanism are outlined in red paint & are still pronounced. The majority of any worn finish is in the operating system itself, possibly aged intentionally in order to illustrate normal wear that may be encountered in the field. PROVENANCE: Mark Genovese Collection. (02-12552/JZ). NON-GUN. $1,800-2,800.

MARCOLMAR VZ-59 SEMI AUTO RIFLE.

Lot # 1141 (Sale Order: 143 of 693)

Cal. 7.62X54R. S# RS8240. Bbl. 23” including flash hider. The UK-59 (also commonly referred to as VZ-59) was developed in the late 1950’s to act as a dual function machin...moree gun. It had to be light enough to be transported & utilized by a single soldier w/ the ability to utilize a rigid mount for purposes typically associated w/ the heavier variants. The design & quality must have hit their mark because even though it was mfg. in extremely small numbers in comparison to other Soviet orders, it can still be encountered in theatres of operation today. This particular example was mfg. by MarColMar, a United States based importer & manufacturer known throughout the industry for high quality, high end semi automatic variants of unique foreign machine guns. Their innovation allows complete compliance w/ our firearms regulations while offering items that may otherwise be unobtainable. The UK-59 was a very expensive firearm to build primarily because the receiver is machined from a massive bar of steel reduced in weight by a factor of 10 during the mfg. process. Caliber is 7.62X54R just like the original. Feed system is the familiar non disintegrating steel link found in other Russian systems w/ the exception of a redesign to upgrade the mechanism to a push through style (similar to the U.S. M60, M240, M249 etc.). The bbl. finish is a deep rich blue & muzzle is terminated w/ a threaded cone. Folding adj. bipod beneath the front sight is hooded post, rear is a ladder style notch sight micro adj. for windage & adj. for windage from 100 to 2000 meters of fine adjustment. Finish on receiver is a deep thick gray reminiscent of many of the Czech military firearms & is almost a perfect match to the tripod which harbors a few interesting features in itself. In its traditional setup as a regular ground tripod, it offers several degrees of elevation in an effortless micro adj. fashion & several degrees of traverse adjustment completely fluid for the operator. In just a few minutes w/out the aid of any tools it converts to an anti aircraft mount w/ little initial resemblance to the original configuration, using parts that are already on board the base tripod. Original Czech army 4-8X optic. Wooden stock & pistol grip are a customary reddish brown in finish. Stock features a folding support that can be dropped into vertical position during normal use when additional support isn’t necessary. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: canvas & leather original scope pouch. Multiple VZ59 sm. parts including springs, plungers & pins. Original tripod shipping/storage crate. Semi auto VZ 59 Operation's manual. Czech. to English translation Ministry of National Defense Type 59 instruction manual. CONDITION: all exterior finishes are void of any major blemishing w/ thinning only around feed system & points of mechanical attachment. Wood appears to be high end & refinished issued furniture showing the normal light dents & dings associated. All moving parts are fluid & function effortlessly. Scope appears to be as new sporting the correct yellow tint. All moving parts associated w/ the tripod function properly & smoothly. Very good shiny bore. PROVENANCE: Mark Genovese collection. (19-3474, 02-12748, 02-12751/JZ). MODERN. $4,000-6,000.

R.J. BRAVERMAN STINGER SINGLE SHOT PISTOL.

Lot # 1147 (Sale Order: 149 of 693)

Cal. 22 LR. S# B000243. Bbl. 2". This is an extremely unique example of firearms ingenuity that hit the market in the 1990's. The vast majority of firearms that share sim...moreilarities to the Braverman Pen Gun are classified by the BATF as an AOW (Any Other Weapon) & are highly regulated through the NFRTR. Firearms that fall under the perview of NFA (National Firearms Act) are commonly referred to as Class III & require extensive paperwork, background checks & Federal transfer fees. Pen guns are a prime example of an AOW, which is a firearm that doesn't resemble a traditional gun & includes examples such as cane guns, single shot flashlights & knife guns. The paperwork that must be submitted & approved for an AOW prior to transfer is exactly the same as used for purchasing machine guns, destructive devices & sound suppressors & can take upwards of a year before the buyer can take possession. The ingenuity of the Braverman design allows the purchaser of it to proceed exactly like any traditional firearm w/ no taxes or Federal registration necessary thus, they are extremely desirable. Because the Braverman must be positioned w/ the bbl. at an 80 degree angle from the body of it, it is no longer considered an AOW, but just a standard pistol. Full stainless steel construction w/ a knurled barrel ring. It incorporates a swiveling safety and pocket clip. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nylon carry case resembling that of a flashlight or multi tool. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent. Original box, paper work & owner's manual. PROVENANCE: The Mark Genovese Collection. (19-727/JZ). MODERN. $700-1,100.

1) VZ58. Cal. 7.62x39. Bbl. 15 1/4". Designed in 1958, the VZ58 rifle is a gas operated select fire weapon that replaced the Czech Model 52 & model 24 machine guns in the...more Czech Army. Cal. 7.65mm. (32 ACP). Bbl. 4 1/2". The Czech Model 61 SMG is comparable to & considered by some the Czech equivalent of the Soviet Stechkin machine pistol. It fires a sm. rnd. by today's standards, chambered in 7.65 Browning, commonly referred to 32 ASP in the U.S.A. Its strength is the ability to put several rnds. on target w/ a single burst thanks to its extremely controllable cyclic rate of approx. 750 rpm combined w/ its low recoil impulse. The Skorpion is extremely recognizable as a favorite gun of those who oppose the U.S. thanks to Hollywood casting. Protected post front sight. 2 Position notch rear sight graduated for 75 & 100 meters. Feeds from a 10 or 20 rd. box mag. This example is an extremely complete parts kit including portions of the original cut receiver & a 2 piece steel 80% receiver waiting to be finished.
