Factory Engraved and Inscribed Colt New Service Revolver
Lot # 2906 (Sale Order: 907 of 1087)
Manufactured 1925, fewer than 100 Colt New Service Revolvers had factory inscriptions and only about 75 were factory engraved. The included Colt factory letter confirms the current configuration (grips not listed) including the factory engraving and the inscription "Laddie Hellman" on the barrel, as well as shipment to Phil A. Bekeart Company in San Francisco, California, on 28 October 1925. The revolver has factory "Grade A" engraving with simple, well executed, leaf scrolls on all of its major components. The inscription: "Laddie Hellman" is engraved on the forward portion of the left side of the barrel.
