RETURN POLICY: Rowlands Relics, Ltd., in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the A.A.C.A., Incorporated, will provide a full refund for any lot involved in a dispute over authenticity, providing said items are returned within twenty-two days of the date of sale. Immediately upon the conclusion of the twenty-two day grace period, all funds shall be distributed to the former owners of auction property, and the sale shall be considered final. In general, please do not bid on items if you do not value the opinion of the Authenticator of record, as owners of property have taken the time and expense to certify lots prior to entry into the sale. The Return Policy does not cover differences of opinion pertaining to materials (Flint Ridge versus Upper Mercer, etc.) and tool typing (Adena versus Hopewell, etc.). Abuse of return privileges may result in the termination of bidding rights. A small number of items in any given sale may carry an owner reserve. Signed contracts are maintained by Rowlands Relics, Ltd., attesting to the fact that owners of auction property have full legal title to sell property entered into the sale, and that all artifacts entered into the sale were acquired in accordance with local, state and Federal statute and law. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. Rowlands Relics Limited may attempt to describe the merchandise in advertising, on the Internet and at the auction but makes no representations. In no event shall Rowlands Relics Limited be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. Bidders who bid from off site and are not present at the live auction or preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. Rowlands Relics Limited shall endeavor to describe in detail each item and any pertinent information about it. Rowlands Relics Limited will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of the merchandise unless it is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself. Rowlands Relics Limited is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Rowlands Relics Limited or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Rowlands Relics Limited will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid 24 hours before the auction begins. Rowlands Relics Limited reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction.
