Savage Model 1895 in .303 Savage. This saddle ring, barrel band carbine has a barrel length of 22". Finish is blue. Comes with straight grip and carbine butt. This is the barrel band style with saddle ring on receiver. Comes with ladder type rear sight and dovetailed front with silver bead. Overall condition is at 60% and shows use. Butt stock is cracked on left side bottom where wood meets receiver. 2" split that appears to have been repaired long ago. Bore is dark but is shootable. Wood behind top tang has had a repair and shows a few checks. Made in 1896. Extremely rare carbine. This carbine was made for Savage by the Marlin Firearms Company, as states the factory letter.
