Silverstone Auctions will be returning to the Lancaster Insurance Classic Car Show for the eighth consecutive year offering a selection of cars for sale by auction on Saturday and Sunday.

The Lancaster Classic is the UK's biggest classic car show held in the conveniently located NEC easily accessed from the M42.

Head to head - a pair of signed motor sport prints

Lot # 300 (Sale Order: 1 of 100)      

Fangio  500 Edition Secondary Market Print taken from an original by Alan Fearnley, featuring Juan Manuel Fangio on his way to victory, driving his Mercedes-Benz W196 during the heatwave of the 1955 Argentinian Grand Prix in Buenos Aires.  Individually hand signed by Juan Manuel Fangio. Print number: 1/500. Framed size:  30.25" x 23.5" (76.83cm x 59.69 cm).    

Heading For Victory  850 Edition Secondary Market Print taken from an original by Alan Fearnley and individually hand signed by Sir Jack Brabham AO, OBE.  Depicting Sir Jack driving a Repco Brabham in his first win at the 'Ring' in the 1966 German Grand Prix, this print carries a personal dedication to the late David Mills, with whom he began working in 1961. Print number: 1/850. Framed size: 31" x 24" (78.74cm x 60.96 cm).                                                                                                      

Both prints are from the private collection of the late Mrs. Christine Mills MBE and are brought together as one lot, to commemorate both drivers competing in a three lap exhibition in Australia in 1978 following their retirement from Formula One competition.

French Grand Prix 1931, formerly known at the XXV Grand Prix de I'A.C.F, as depicted in this original by Juan Carlos Ferrigno, took place at the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhery on 21 June with Achille Varzi and Louis Chiron taking victory in their Bugatti T51 after a gruelling ten-hour race.  Signed by the artist and bearing reference number JF351. Glass Topped Engine Block Table

Lot # 310 (Sale Order: 11 of 100)      

This Ford Cosworth DFV 060 engine block was prepared by Nicholson McLaren engines and used during the 1974 Formula One Grand Prix season by Mike Hailwood, Emerson Fittipaldi, Denny Hulme and David Hobbs.  In 1975 it was used by Jochen Mass and blown up by Emerson Fittipaldi at Zandvoort in the Dutch Grand Prix when all were driving for the Mclaren Racing team. The table includes an Inscription of Authenticity built into the engine block itself. From the private collection of the late Mrs Christine Mills MBE.
