c.2001 Tag Heuer Monaco Automatic Chronograph

Lot # 547 (Sale Order: 47 of 138)

In 1969 Heuer shook up the watchmaking tradition by creating the first-ever square, water-resistant case. Driven by the celebrated chronomatic calibre 11, the Monaco was also the world's first square automatic chronograph. It was only one year old when Steve McQueen chose to wear it in 'Le Mans', the famous car racing film and on the wrist of this major star it soon became an icon.

The TAG Heuer Monaco was reintroduced in 1998 and has proven to be just as popular now as it ever was. This example has a Black dial with three sub dials, chrome hands and hour batons. The case is the traditional size and is made in stainless steel. It is finished in a combination of polished and satin. The strap is black perforated TAGHeuer and has a stainless steel deployant buckle. The movement is an ETA 2894, which is an automatic chronograph. This legendary watch is the perfect addition for any car enthusiast.

Superb John Surtees Tribute Collection of Models and Memorabilia

Lot # 550 (Sale Order: 50 of 138)

A trio of models signed by Sir John Surtees and a letter explaining about the Can Am Lola T70 that he campaigned in 1966 which is also signed by his friend Eric Broadly (Mr Lola).
The 1:43 scale F1 Ferrari 158 by Brumm is in its original box which is signed by Surtees - the car is in the usual Ferrari red paint scheme from earlier in the 1964 season before Enzo had yet another disagreement with the authorities and refused to send his red cars to the USA and Mexico at the end of the season, which is why the 1:20 scale 158 is in the NART colours as they still wanted to win the World Championship!
The Lola is number 17 of what is believed to have been a run of just 125. The 1:20 scale NART liveried car is 1 of 50 that he signed and the Brumm 1:43 scale car is 1 of 500 signed. All three have the certifications with them and the boxes are in very good condition.
