1993 Mercedes-Benz 500E

Lot # 501 (Sale Order: 1 of 79)

* A rare 500E, currently the property of Rowan Atkinson CBE* The ultimate "wolf in sheep's clothing". 322bhp, 354lb/ft, 0-60 in 5.6 secs, 162 mph* Just over 50,000 miles. Left-hand drive, automatic. Rare with cloth upholstery* Comprehensive service history as well as the original book pack and spare keys etc.* Featured and road-tested in the current (March 2018) 'Classic Car' magazine* Offered at 'No Reserve', this rare, hand-built, German super-saloon has an excellent pedigree The ultimate "wolf in sheep's clothing" of the 1990s, the 500E saloon was built to rival the BMW M5. It was powered by the 5-litre V8 shared with the 500SL and featured upgraded brakes and suspension but offered no visible clues on the outside except for very slightly flared wheel arches, wider tyres and discreet side skirts. 60mph arrived in just 5 seconds and 100mph in just over 14 seconds, remarkable for a car with such 'stately' presence. It was only available as a (hand built) four-door saloon and in left-hand drive form, and the low production numbers rendered it an instant classic. This particular car is the second 500E owned by renowned comedian, actor, and classic car enthusiast - Rowan Atkinson. He retained wonderful memories of his first 500E, bought new back in the 1990s, and always harboured a desire to own another one so, in 2015, he set about finding the very best example of the breed. He acquired this car because of its outstanding condition and also because it featured cloth upholstery which Rowan much prefers to the standard slippery leather finish.Today, it has covered just 80,500 Kms which is about 50,000 miles. It comes with an owner's file which confirms a comprehensive service history as well as the original book pack and spare keys etc.Topically, the car is featured in a comprehensive road test in the March 2018 edition of Classic Car magazine which will be available from the 24th Jan 2018, alongside his other left-hand drive four-door saloon - the Lancia Thema 8.32.Offered at 'No Reserve', this rare, hand-built, German super-saloon has a distinguished past and an excellent pedigree and represents a fantastic entry into classic car ownership.

1966 Lotus Elan S3 Coupé

Lot # 502 (Sale Order: 2 of 79)

* Subject to vast recent expenditure including engine rebuild and chassis replacement* Detailed restoration by marque specialist with invoices and correspondence kept on file* Original specification other than a few subtle upgrades to improve reliability* Previous keeper a Lotus Club member and clearly an enthusiastThe Lotus Elan burst onto the scene in 1962 as the first road-going Lotus to use the now synonymous combination of a steel backbone chassis coupled to a separate fibreglass body. Colin Chapman proudly announced in the launch literature that "We wanted to build you a fun car.."A technologically advanced DOHC development of Ford's proven 'Kent' engine, bored out to 1558cc provided the propulsion, whilst cutting-edge features such as all-round disc brakes, fully independent suspension, and rack and pinion steering provided agility and handling that was second-to-none.The Series 3 Fixed Head Coupé arrived in 1965 closely followed by the S3 soft top. In line with Lotus's intention to move upmarket and justify an increase in prices, fit and finish had been improved over the earlier Elans and the Coupé sported a considerably smarter dashboard. The new S3 further benefited from revised windows with frames to reduce cabin noise and of course, the windows were now electrically operated. This superb Series 3 presents beautifully in Lotus Yellow and has clearly been very well maintained by its four former keepers. Subject to an extensive programme of improvements in the years 2014/15 this car benefited from what could only be described as a sympathetic restoration including the inevitable new chassis and a complete engine rebuild. Details of all this attention can be found in the extensive owner's file containing lots of invoices and vehicle history. Quite rightly, the Lotus Elan is today regarded as one of the finest British sports cars of all time and the S3 coupé is arguably the most beautiful of all the early Elans. 'On the button' and ready for the next chapter in its life, this little Lotus has many more years of enjoyment to offer.

1961 Austin Healey 3000 Mk.I BT7 - Ruddspeed tuned

Lot # 504 (Sale Order: 4 of 79)

* An original UK, right-hand drive example supplied new by Milne & Russell of Croydon in March 1961* Engine modified and upgraded from new by renowned tuners Ruddspeed* Full nut and bolt restoration in 1996/7 by marque specialist Rawles Engineering* Matching numbers and still on its original registration '6861 BY'* Supplied with an impressive history file containing a Heritage Certificate and photographsThe Austin Healey 3000 became one of the best-known British classic cars of the 1950s and 1960s following spectacular success in international rallying and circuit racing. A development of the Austin Healey 100-6, itself born of the four-cylinder 100, the 3000 was launched in March 1959 and was a significant improvement on the earlier cars featuring front disc brakes, wire wheels as standard and a more powerful (124bhp) 2,912cc BMC C-Series engine, ensuring a top speed of approximately 120mph. There was also a choice of 2-seater (BN7) or 2+2 (BT7) body styles. This fabulous, original UK, right-hand drive 1961 Austin Healey 3000 Mk.I BT7 was dispatched on 30th March 1961 to Milne and Russell, Limited of Croydon Surrey. Registered '6861 BY', it was originally ordered with wire-wheels, overdrive, a heater, laminated windscreen, and 'road speed' tyres. Upon delivery, the car was sent to the respected specialist tuners, Rudds of Worthing, for the following upgrades:- High-compression (9.7:1) gas flowed cylinder head with equalised combustion chambers- Balanced crankshaft, lightened and balanced flywheel- Triple inlet manifold with a third SU carburettor- High-lift camshaft- Fabricated exhaust manifold and modified side-exit exhaust systemThe car changed hands several times before a gearbox problem resulted in it being laid up from 1971 to 1996, before being discovered in a garden in Reading by its next owner, a Mr P. Morson of Hampshire. Twenty-five years as a garden ornament had done the Healey no favours, and inevitably, a complete nut and bolt restoration was the only option, so Mr Morson commissioned highly respected Healey restorers Rawles Engineering to do a total restoration of 6861 BY. Bill Rawles and his dedicated team took exactly a year to bring the big car back to life attending to every inch of the car's bodywork and patiently going through the rest of the car with as many original components being restored and reused as possible. The owner's file includes a raft of invoices covering this period and is accompanied by a photo album illustrating the work in detail. Supplied with its V5c, Heritage Certificate, and an MOT until 7th August '18, this beautifully restored car wants for nothing and has nicely mellowed since Bill Rawles attentions in the late 90s. It would be a struggle to find a Healey that matches the condition of this example, and with period Ruddspeed modifications, this original 'matching numbers' home-market car ticks all the boxes for any Big Healey enthusiast looking for something special - look no further. The 'Le Mans Classic' in July beckons and the weather forecast is good.

1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Sport

Lot # 505 (Sale Order: 5 of 79)

* Under current private ownership since 1995 * Matching numbers with an impressive history file * UK delivered, G50 gearbox and now showing just over 91,000 miles * In a classic colour combination and competitively guided with a fresh MOT The 3.2 Carrera is revered as the ultimate development of the original 911 that first appeared in 1963. These final cars (before being replaced by the more complicated 964) were the most flexible and usable of Butzi Porsche's original design. Launched in 1984, and reviving the 'Carrera' name for the first time since 1977, these were the ultimate 1980's sports cars. The all-alloy flat-6 engine, which had been fuel injected since 1971, received a final stretch to 3,164cc, producing a torque-rich 231 bhp - enough to propel the lithe and slippery coupé to over 150 mph, with 0-60 mph coming up in 5.6 seconds. Cars built from September 1986 onwards were fitted with the more user-friendly G50 Getrag gearbox, but all 3.2 Carreras feature galvanized bodies, which together with Porsche's legendary build quality, ensure that these classics are long-lasting.This 911 Carrera Sport was first registered on 01.09.1987, having been supplied to a local GP by the Newcastle-On-Tyne main dealer. Our vendor purchased it in November 1995 from Michael Ticehurst of Henley-On-Thames, trading as Finlay Gorham. The V5 records six keepers before our current owner - one of which, he understands, was accounted for by a husband-to-wife transfer following a marital break-up. Our generous vendor is also prepared to leave the distinctive Registration Number NBZ 7911 on the vehicle. There is a letter in the history file from Porsche Cars GB, attesting to the fact that the car is 'matching numbers' in respect of VIN, Engine, Gearbox, Colour, Trim specification and the current mileage indicated shows just over 91,000. 'NBZ7911' has the desirable G50 'box / hydraulic clutch combination. and, in fact, has a 964 clutch-pack fitted, providing a somewhat lighter pedal and much-improved release-bearing. With the car is a huge history file detailing every penny spent on the car since it came into current ownership. This includes the replacement clutch-pack (as above) the majority of both the rigid and flexi oil-pipes, and a replacement front-wing oil-cooler. Pretty much every piece of brake-pipe has been replaced, including Goodridge braided-stainless for the flexis. The current owner serviced the car less than 700 miles ago including oil, filter, spark-plugs, valve-clearances and all associated gaskets, Nyloc nuts etc. and he has been fastidious about carrying out this work every 5,000 miles throughout his ownership. The history file also includes main dealer service history prior to his ownership and evidence of considerable expenditure on replacement parts during this period. All the original books, tools and both keys are with the car and it has an unused space-saver spare tyre which has been recently tested for pressure retention. The car is fitted with a Thatcham-approved swipe-type immobiliser and a non-standard Piranha alarm system, which allows remote-locking.The Carrera will come to sale with a fresh 12 months MOT and, if you are in the market for the classic Porsche experience, this 3.2 Carrera Sport, at this guide, seems a perfect fit.

1969 Dodge Charger 'Bullitt' spec

Lot # 506 (Sale Order: 6 of 79)

* The Charger became infamous for its part in the legendary car chase in the film 'Bullitt'* Originally purchased by Demi Moore for her husband, at the time, Bruce Willis* Imported to the UK by rock legend Jay Kay of Jamiroquai some eight years ago* Subject to a no expense spared improvement package to make the car as near perfect as possible* The 8.2-litre engine was rebuilt and upgraded at a cost of some £25,000 in 2014The second generation of the 1960's Dodge Charger was forever immortalised by the Steve McQueen film, "Bullitt". The plot involved a car chase between a Dodge Charger and a Ford Mustang (driven by Mcqueen as his own stuntman) through the undulating streets of San Francisco, and this fil sequence has since become regarded as the best car chase on film ever. An enormous two-door coupé - the Charger featured an 8.2-litre V8 engine and a Chrysler 3-speed automatic gearbox. This particular Charger is offered directly from the stable of rock legend Jay Kay of Jamiroquai. Acquired by him some 8 years ago direct from film legend, Bruce Willis. The car had originally been bought for Bruce by his first wife, the actress Demi Moore. Jay bought and imported the car (so all taxes paid and UK registered) and then launched an improvement package to make the car as near perfect as possible. No stone was left unturned and the car remains very striking indeed with shiny gloss black paint and a perfectly trimmed original interior. Sat on highly polished and chromed alloy wheels, the car not only looks fantastic but sounds it too!Under the "hood" is a very special engine that Jay has had rebuilt and upgraded at a cost of some £25,000 in 2014, as shown in the comprehensive history file. Needless to say, this car now drives superbly, although it has covered only a handful of miles in the last few years, and will quite happily spin its rear wheels if you accelerate hard in a straight line. The steering remains light and very positive, which is amazing for a car of this size, and the ride quality is excellent. Also offered in the Sale is an American "Chips" spec Kawasaki motorcycle owned by Jay Kay (previously owned by motorcycle legend Steve Parrish) and offered at No Reserve. These pieces of "Americana" are both very realistically priced to sell and offer an outstanding collector's opportunity.

1958 Jaguar XK150 DHC

Lot # 507 (Sale Order: 7 of 79)

* UK-delivered 150 DHC with original buff log book and matching numbers* Restored around 20 years ago in Norway but remains superbly presented with a lovely patina* UK cars made up only 5% of total XK150 production. An exciting opportunity to acquire a rare car with lots of history* Very highly regarded by marque experts. 5 DRO is a Jaguar XK jewel The XK120 was launched in 1948 and was an international sensation, finally putting Jaguar on the world stage and their competition successes would see the beginning of a hugely positive period for the company. The XK150 was the final incarnation of the XK line and appeared in May 1957. A more refined and capable machine than its predecessors, the 150 was easily identifiable by its higher scuttle and door line, wider grille and improved interior space. However, the XK150 retained much of the mechanical layout of the XK140 including the same 3.4-litre DOHC Jaguar straight-six, which developed 180bhp at 5,750rpm. As before with the XK range, standard (with steel wheels) and special equipment models were available, but a bewildering range of models was to evolve. A total of 2,200 XK150 Drophead Coupé models were made, of which 85% (left-hand drive versions) were sold to America, 10% went to the rest of the world and only 5% came to the UK Market.According to the original buff logbook in the owner's file and confirmed by the accompanying Heritage Certificate, this car was registered in Hertfordshire as '5 DRO' on the 14th of July 1958. It was finished in Carmen Red with a Red Leather interior, red carpets and a black mohair hood, and was fitted with overdrive, chrome wire wheels, and driving lamps. The car was owned by a Norwegian lady based in Edinburgh for much of the 1970s and 80s and when she finally returned to Norway, she took her beloved Jaguar with her. At some point later, the decision was taken to fully restore the XK and there is photographic evidence of this within the substantial file. It remains presented in gleaming Red with red leather and retains its original engine and gearbox thereby qualifying as a 'matching numbers' car. Pleasingly, it still proudly sports its original UK registration, '5 DRO'.Our vendor, a very well known Jaguar expert, collected this car from a long-standing Norwegian contact and drove it over 1,300 miles around Europe taking the long way back to the UK last year. He has driven hundreds of classic Jaguars and dozens of XKs over the years but regards driving this car around Europe as one of his best “life experiences” and he cannot talk highly enough about '5 DRO'. He reports that “the gearbox operates as it should, as does the overdrive. The engine is free revving and behaved impeccably”. It's not fitted with a 'Kenlowe' fan, which is pretty much unheard of in the UK, but he informs us that, during that long trip, the car didn't overheat or stress in any way. Presented for sale in superb condition and with a lovely patina, this is an older restoration the quality of which is still evident today and does great credit to the craftsmen responsible some 20 years ago.Original UK cars made up only 5% of total XK150 production and this is an exciting opportunity to acquire a rare, right-hand drive, matching numbers car with great history. '5 DRO' is a Jaguar XK jewel and not to be missed.

1981 Porsche 924 Turbo

Lot # 508 (Sale Order: 8 of 79)

* Just 39,000 miles and 4 former keepers. Rare car, only 60 924 Turbos remain in the UK * Remarkably genuine condition and accompanied by a large history file* Recently recommissioned by Porsche-approved 'Road & Race Restorations Ltd.' Just serviced by Porsche Bolton* Tipped by enthusiasts to be 'the next big thing'. Really strong movement in the marketPorsche was commissioned by Volkswagen to develop the 924 project – originally conceived as a replacement for the VW-Porsche 914 – but bought the rights to the car back when VW changed tack. Build quality was to the usual superb Porsche standards, and from 1976 the 924 was an instant sales success. In production terms, the 924 was the first Porsche model powered by a water-cooled, front-mounted engine. This arrangement, coupled with rear wheel drive was normal for most other manufacturers, but it was unusual for Porsche having previously only used mid or rear-mounted engines all of which had been air-cooled.With Porsche at the forefront of turbo technology, and the 924 chassis ripe for exploitation with more power, the 924 Turbo's development was inevitable. Thanks to a 45bhp power boost that raised top speed by nearly 20 mph, a five-speed gearbox and uprated suspension, the car was very well received and more than 12,000 were sold over a five year period. Introduced in 1978, the 924 Turbo featured a distinctive row of four extra air-intakes in the nose panel and a NACA duct in the bonnet. Other unique features included aluminium 15-inch spoke-style alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, 5 stud hubs and a discreet but effective rear lip spoiler. In 1979, in response to problems with components failing due to a turbocharger cooled only by engine oil and owners being less than sympathetic, Porsche released a revised 924 Turbo (Series 2). By using a smaller turbocharger running at increased boost, slightly higher compression of 8:1 and an improved fuel injection system with DITC ignition triggered by the flywheel, reliability improved and power rose to 177bhp.Today, the 924 Turbo is a rare car, with Phillip Watson of the 924 Owners' Club stating “We reckon that there are only about 60 left in the UK.” Their appeal is widening, especially in mainland Europe, says fellow club member Steven Cooper and prices are on the march. Steven also points out that Porsche Centre Bolton chose a 924 Turbo to demonstrate its Porsche-approved restoration skills. Phillip claims that an independent classic Porsche dealer is quietly buying all models of 924 because he sees them as the 'next big thing'. Another 924 Turbo fan is high-profile Porsche enthusiast Magnus Walker of the USA, who has treated himself to a 924 Turbo. The car presented here is a 1981 924 Turbo (Series 2) in Onyx Metallic Green, which has covered just 39,000 miles with only four former keepers, the first two of which kept the car for a combined 20 year period. Due to these factors, it appears in a very genuine and well-preserved condition. It is believed to still retain its original paintwork and interior, along with original and untouched 15" forged wheels with period correct Michelin XWX tyres. The car is accompanied by an original Porsche service schedule booklet which is stamped as part of a full book-pack, plus a key pouch with three original fob keys and two spare keys, tool roll and warning triangle. There is also a large and comprehensive history file, containing extensive copy invoices for servicing and maintenance. These elements all help to support the very authentic impression the car portrays. This special car has just recently benefitted from a comprehensive 12-month mechanical recommissioning programme carried out by Porsche-approved 'Road & Race Restorations Ltd.' This same acclaimed company was used by Porsche Bolton to restore their 924 Turbo and 924 GT, both of which commanded much praise and hefty sale price tags. The sympathetic work carried out was in keeping with the car's originality which, along with a major service at Porsche Bolton, just made a great example better. This is truly a fine example of what is considered a Porsche model ripe for more market attention and may represent a very rare opportunity to acquire such a low mileage and genuine example.

This particular Austin Super Deluxe smooth roof model includes the non-structural "Woody" rear end, popularised by the Morris Minor Traveller.Offered directly from the private collection of rock legend, Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, this car was built in 1964. 'DRR 515B' is fresh from a bare shell, full nut and bolt restoration with substantial upgrades and modifications that turn it into a quick, nimble and versatile classic that will hold its own in modern-day traffic.Work carried out includes the following;"1275 cc A+ engine, re-bored to 1340cc, blueprinted and tuned, MG Metro Stage 2 unleaded big valve head, AC Dodd RS camshaft, HIF44 carburettor, Cooper free-flow exhaust manifold, 'Maniflow' performance exhaust, lightened flywheel with Metro Turbo clutch, fully rebuilt 4 synchro Hybrid gearbox with original "magic wand" gear change. Alternator in place of the dynamo.'Stage 1' handling kit including rear arm camber/toe adjustable KAD brackets, front adjustable ride height, negative camber bottom arms and adjustable tie rods. Bilstein dampers all round, Yokohama performance tyres on genuine Minilite wheels.Cooper 'S' Disc brakes, master cylinder and brake servo. Performance Mintex brake pads.Halogen headlights and brand new uprated wiring loom.Fully refurbished interior with period instrument binnacle including water temperature and oil pressure gauge. Period Smiths rev.counter. Fully hidden and integrated Bluetooth audio system with twin speakers and subwoofer. 'Motolita' leather steering wheel and added period cigarette lighter for charging mobile etc. Stainless fasteners used throughout."This appears to be a thorough 'nut and bolt' restoration and the quality of the work looks excellent. The car is finished in Tartan Red with silver wheels and externally looks like a nicely restored, sixties, standard Mini Countryman, however, this is undoubtedly a proper 'Q' car. Used lightly by Jay as his holiday home run about the car comes with an MOT until Jan 2019 and a good history file. Picnic on the beach anyone??

1997 Aston Martin V8 Vantage V550-Manual

Lot # 510 (Sale Order: 10 of 79)

* Delivered new to Sir Elton John in May 1997 * Rare, six-speed manual gearbox, V8 Vantage V550. (550bhp/550lbs.ft)* Serviced by Aston Martin Works in 2017. Now showing just 8,663 miles on the odometer * Continent-crossing pace in armchair comfort* A rare opportunity to own one of the last coach-built Aston Martins (1 of 239)The wide-bodied 6.3-litre V8 had demonstrated an appetite for a faster Virage and in 1993 the full house Vantage version arrived. Whilst the V8 Vantage V550 did bear some resemblance to the Virage, closer examination would reveal many differences - most obvious of which are the deep front spoiler, its lower stance and the flared wheel arches and, in fact, only the roof and doors were common to both cars. The 550 has massive presence and even when parked its muscular flanks and huge tyres give it a fearsome appearance. These rare and powerful cars were hand built at the factory at Newport Pagnell and were equipped with a 5.3L V8 engine sporting twin Eaton superchargers that would look more at home on a lorry. The power output was around 550 bhp and torque was equally impressive at 550 ft/lbs and, at the time, this was the most powerful production engine in the world. To handle this surfeit of 'grunt', Aston fitted a modified ZF transmission from the Chevrolet Corvette. Top speed was 191 mph, with a 0-60mph time of just 4.6 seconds an astonishing feat for such a large car. It is thought that just 240 standard V550 Vantages were built for all markets, making them hugely collectable today. We are extremely pleased to offer this particular UK-supplied, right-hand drive Aston Martin V8 Vantage V550, which was delivered new by H.W.M Ltd. in Surrey on 13th May 1997 to Sir Elton John. Finished in Black with a black leather interior, chassis #70174 is a manual gearbox example, making it hugely desirable and a joy to drive. Open the driver's door to the cabin and that 'new car' smell still lingers, with acres of polished figured Walnut and cashmere-soft leather greeting passengers, along with a Motorola phone and, as you might expect, an uprated audio system. This car has been thoroughly maintained throughout, with the service book showing 19 stamps in total, with invoices for maintenance in 2015 at H.A. Fox Ltd, considerable expenditure at respected marque specialist, Rikki Cann in 2016 and a full service and other work totalling more than £7,600 in 2017.Rarely do cars of this calibre come to market and this example is supplied with a UK V5c, its original service books and invoices, and an MOT valid until 16th. January 2019. Showing a mere 8,663 miles on the odometer, this beautiful car has clearly been maintained regardless of expense and represents a rare opportunity to own one of the last coach-built Aston Martins.

1968 Ford Mustang "S" Code 390 GT Fastback

Lot # 511 (Sale Order: 11 of 79)

* Unrestored car with the exception of a paint refresh (Candy Apple Red) 5 years ago in the States* An original 390 GT. With its Marti Report detailing build and options* Supplied with an original manual, 7 American MOT-style inspections and some old invoices* Showing 46,000 miles on the odometer, believed correct* A really genuine and tidy car. The sort you always hope you will findFrequently overlooked by those chasing mighty Cobra Jets and K-Code 289s is the 390CID 'S-Code' Mustang, produced with little fanfare between 1967-69. That relative lack of collectors' attention may well make S-Code Mustangs the market's unsung hero. Although the 390-inch V-8 is a pound or two heavier than the thin-wall 289, its redesigned inlet manifolds and better breathing resulted in an impressive output of 325 horsepower and 427 pounds/feet of torque. That's within spitting distance of the 428 Cobra Jet's 335 hp and 440 lb-ft Ford put the S-Code 390 in a good many Mustangs, 28,800 in 1967; 9,228 in '68; and 10,464 in '69, yet their low profile in the market has resulted in values that are steady, less subject to the whims of fad and fashion. However, that appears to be changingThe 390 was based on the FE-Series V-8s introduced in 1958 for Thunderbirds and Edsels and persisted well into the 1970s, installed in everything from pickups to Cammer-powered drag cars and Le Mans-winning GT40s and really began flexing its muscles in the redesigned 1967 Mustang's wider engine compartment. This lovely genuine 'S-Code' big-block 390 is a rare GT Specification example from North Carolina in the States where it has resided from birth until arriving on our shores in August 2013. The fact that it has been kept in its original Candy Apple Red lustre and not made into a "Bullitt" clone has allowed it to stand alone and out from the crowd.Chassis number 8T025204988 was built on May 10th 1968 in Metuchen and was ordered with a 3.25 Limited Slip Differential, C6 Cruise-O-Matic gearbox, Power Brakes and Steering, AM Radio, Tinted Glass, Tachometer with Trip Odometer, and a Centre Console. It retains all of its factory- supplied options and has clearly been looked after all of its life having covered an indicated 45,000 miles, which our vendor believes to be correct but we cannot warrant. The car was treated to a paint refresh around five years ago just prior to coming over to the UK and the car has been untouched bodily with a clean underside since then. The interior is as Ford intended and has stood the test of time well, still looking very sharp today, almost unmarked. During the current owners care it has had a replacement carburettor and a re-cored radiator giving this "S" Code a clean bill of health. These cars rarely come onto the open market, and this one presented as it does is worthy of a good inspection. It does tick a lot of boxes; S-code 390 Big-block, GT -Spec, Fastback, good factory options, Candy Apple Red, and in excellent condition. As they say in the US of A -"Get in line".

2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Manual

Lot # 512 (Sale Order: 12 of 79)

* Supplied by Stratstone London in a very rare colour combination* Showing just 47,000 miles and a service record with 13 stamps* The history file includes the Aston Martin book pack, reams of invoices, and previous MOTs* Fitted with Chiltern Aston rear light clusters, a rare but attractive dealer modification* The burgundy leather interior and carbon fibre trim offer a dynamic look to the DB7Aston Martin introduced the long-awaited Vantage version of their successful DB7 in 1999. Sporting a Cosworth designed, 5.9 litre V12 producing a creamy 420bhp, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its 6-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades to cope with the increased performance, and Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps, and restyled the valances to give the car a more purposeful look. This dynamic looking Vantage coupé was delivered on the 1st September 2000 by Stratstone Aston Martin, London. Finished in the refreshingly modern combination of Grigio Titanio with Burgundy and Nero leather, the cabin is lifted by the rare addition of carbon fibre cappings in place of the more traditional wooden veneers, a very expensive option. This car shows the direction that Aston Martin were heading at the time, by a creating a modern sportscar for the younger more affluent market of the digital age. In short, it has more in common with its bigger brother the Vanquish than its predecessor the Virage. The car is in exceptional condition and is wearing its 47,000 miles very well indeed. The leather is still fresh and the paintwork has a deep lustre. Adding to the appeal of this car is the Chiltern Aston Martin rear light conversion, a dealer fit option which gives the rear end a unique appearance by changing the original tail lights for round spotlights. Together with the optional factory sports exhaust, this Aston has an individual look and a great voice. Maintained to a high standard it has recently benefitted from official Aston Martin brake discs and pads all round, complementing the freshly refurbished alloy wheels. The car has been serviced at the appropriate intervals:29/08/2000 Stratstone Aston Martin, London at 53 miles29/11/2000 Stratstone Aston Martin, London at 2,104 miles15/06/2001 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 6,317 miles11/06/2002 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 9,913 miles19/01/2004 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 12,560 miles21/07/2004 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 13,112 miles02/02/2005 Lancaster Aston Martin, Sevenoaks at 13,710 miles02/12/2005 Runnymeade Aston Specialists at 14,511 miles18/07/2006 Reg Vardy Aston Martin, Tyne and Wear at 19,114 miles13/07/2007 Stratstone Aston Martin, Tyne and Wear at 23,107 miles03/02/2009 Stratstone Aston Martin, Tyne and Wear at 30,677 miles22/09/2010 Pure Servicing Specialist Cars, Wetherby at 38,180 miles25/10/2016 Pure Speed Specialist Cars, Harrogate at 46,451 milesOur vendor is reluctantly offering the next custodian the opportunity to enjoy this car due to a recent purchase of the new Aston Martin GT8. 1967 Morris Mini Cooper Mk.I

Lot # 513 (Sale Order: 13 of 79)

* Delivered new in Almond Green and Old English White on 20th April 1967 to Loxham's Garage in Preston.* Original engine, body and slam panel are Cooper MkI as confirmed by Heritage Certificate.* Photographic evidence of full restoration recently carried out* Supplied with NOVA registration number. To many, its designer Alec Issigonis included, the notion that the Mini might have a future as anything other than basic transport was an anathema, and the idea of a high-performance version was laughable. One man, though, saw it quite differently. Racing car manufacturer John Cooper already knew quite a bit about tuning BMC's A-Series engine - he was running the company's Formula Junior effort at the time - and a test drive in a prototype Mini convinced him of the cars competition potential. The result, launched in September 1961, was the Mini Cooper. Enlarged to 997cc and suitably tweaked, the revised A-Series engine easily met its 55bhp target. The extra power endowed the Mini Cooper with an 85mph-plus top speed and to cope with this increased performance Lockheed developed special 7”-diameter disc brakes for the front wheels. The new car soon established its credentials as a rally and race winner, and the stage was set for even faster versions. On the racetrack, the Cooper's prodigious road-holding and excellent power-to-weight ratio enabled it to compete successfully with larger-capacity rivals and on tight twisting circuits, the car was often a candidate for outright victory. Indeed, Warwick Banks won the European Saloon Car Championship outright in 1964 driving Ken Tyrell's Mini Cooper. This particular example is a home-market, right-hand drive Morris Mini Cooper Mk.I dispatched new on 20th April 1967 to Loxham's Garage, Preston, in Lancashire finished in Almond Green and Old English White as confirmed by the Heritage Certificate which is included in the file. The owner prior to our vendor in Ireland, completed a full restoration of this lovely Mini eventually getting the car back on the road in 2016. The history file includes many photographs of the work undertaken and shows a lot of care went into returning this Mini to its original specification. Open the bonnet and the 'matching numbers' engine is displayed beautifully and detailed correctly, showing off the cars original slam panel - a desirable feature that often gets lost when restoring these early Minis. This stunning car has been imported back into the UK and hence will arrive at the auction with a NOVA reference number for the prospective buyer to start the process to obtain a UK V5c. Accompanying the car is a great history file which includes rafts of invoices and old MOT Certificates. Rarely do Minis of this quality come to market and this wonderful example would make a super addition to any classic car collection.

1969 Aston Martin DBS

Lot # 514 (Sale Order: 14 of 79)

* Treated to a light restoration 4 years ago and presents very well, with immaculate paintwork* Dec'16-Feb'17, full mechanical overhaul costing over £16,000. Engine out and major service by Pugsley and Lewis* Auto gearbox was stripped checked and rebuilt. Car rewired and fitted with a new sound system * The original wire wheels have been rebuilt and look fresh out of the box, with new, period-correct tyres* Interior in beautiful black leather, good dash and headlining. Rear seat belts* Great example of a rare car (1/800) with only 56k miles indicatedThe DBS's classic credentials are impeccable: it's a 100 percent thoroughbred Aston, from its hand-formed aluminium bodywork to its 4-litre Tadek Marek straight-six; it was handbuilt at Newport Pagnell by the same chaps who built DBs 4, 5 and 6; and it's as rare as any of them. There's not quite unanimity about the exact number, but the total built was only around 800 in a production run that began in September 1967 and lasted until April 1972.One thing the DBS didn't do was replace the DB6, even if that was David Brown's original intention; the two were produced in parallel until the last DB6 rolled out of the Works in January 1971. So think of the DBS as the smoother-riding, more spacious, more cosseting, grown-up alter ego to the DB6. It certainly had more than one eye on the American market, with its wider track, muscle-car stance and the options of power steering, air-conditioning, and an automatic gearbox. But to view it as a boulevard cruiser is to sell it very short. Under the skin, DBS and DB6 are extremely closely related, though you'd never guess at a glance. Englishman William Towns' design was starkly different to the Touring-bodied DBs. In fact, visually, the only things carried over were the signature air vents in the front wings, while the front aspect included a modern take on what had become the traditional Aston grille, much shallower and squarer-edged than before and further distinguished by four, equal-sized quartz-halogen headlamps. This 1969 six cylinder DBS is one of only 317 right-hand drive automatic gearbox cars produced in total. Initially finished in blue, it is now resplendent in a coat of Gladiator Red. The car was treated to a light restoration some four years ago and presents very well, with straight panels and good shut lines. The paintwork is excellent and has been cut and detailed by Ultimate Finish of Brands Hatch where the car has been kept in climate controlled storage. The original chrome wire wheels have been rebuilt and look fresh out of the box, with new period correct tyres and the rest of the chrome looks equally good.During the winter of 2016, the car had a full mechanical overhaul at Pugsley and Lewis in Brixton costing over £16,000. Martin Pugsley and Tim Lewis are both ex-RS Williams and have been responsible for rebuilding some of the marques rarest and most prestigious cars. The engine and gearbox were removed with all gaskets and seals replaced, along with an engine flush and fresh hoses etc. The auto gearbox was stripped checked and rebuilt. The car was also rewired and fitted with a new sound system. There is a very detailed invoice covering all this work. The black leather interior is lightly patinated and beautifully soft without any damage or marks, the dash and headlining are both good and, unusually, the car benefits from rear seat belts. The underside of the car appears solid and original and the engine bay is particularly tidy. The odometer indicates just over 56,000 miles which our vendor believes to be accurate but we cannot warrant. This is a great example of a long undervalued Aston and is accompanied by its original book pack, the V5c, a number of old MOTs, and some relevant invoices from Pugsley and Lewis and MB Automobiles. There are, naturally, advocates of the V8 but the car works beautifully with the straight-six. There's so much character and that very English drawl as the six digs in and pulls hard is the perfect soundtrack for a very English car.

1973 Ford Escort Mk1 Mexico

Lot # 515 (Sale Order: 15 of 79)

* Exactingly restored over 8 years after being stored /many original features* Correct /original AVO shell in its original striking Monza Blue* Genuine Custom interior re-trimmed by renowned specialists, Aldridge TrimmersThe Ford Escort Mexico was introduced in November 1970 and was so named because of Ford Motor Company's victory in the World Cup Rally. This rally started in London on 19th April 1970 and finished some 16,000 miles later in Mexico. Originally Ford intended to use Escorts with the Twin Cam or BDA engine, but after reconnaissance work, it was decided that high speeds and high power were less important than reliability and ease of servicing, and therefore the 'Kent' pushrod engine was used in the Escort shell. It seems likely that Ford already had plans to introduce a high-performance Escort to fit in the range between the 1300GT and the Twin Cam / RS1600, but their victory in Mexico provided an ideal platform to launch such a model. The engineers at the newly formed AVO (Advanced Vehicles Operations) quickly developed the 'Mexico', marrying the Type 49 body-shell as used in the Twin Cam and RS1600 with the 1600cc Kent 'crossflow' engine and 2000E gearbox. So, effectively, the Mexico was basically a re-engined Twin Cam / RS1600. The Mexico was AVO's most successful and numerous of the 'Rally Sport Escorts,' and it had a number of advantages on the road, in that it had good performance, was easy to maintain, relatively easy to insure and above all it was great to drive, something which is still very true today. The car presented here is a Ford Escort Mexico which was first registered on the 16th July 1973. It is a matching-numbers example (confirmed by inspection and research), having both chassis and engine numbers that fit perfectly into the prescribed range for its year and type. Having known of the car for a number of years, and being aware of its integrity and originality, our vendor thought it a worthy restoration candidate. Reassuringly it retained its original AVO shell plus many 'Custom' interior features (gear stick surround, ice scraper, heated rear screen, passenger flexible reading light etc.). Our vendor has just completed working on it, a process that has been lengthy and exacting. The car is now fully restored to a simply superb level and looks fabulous in its original colour of Monza Blue which was particularly rare in period. The bodywork and mechanicals have been given the best possible treatment, whilst the interior benefits from re-trimmed Beta cloth Contour seats by renowned 'Aldridge Trimmers'. Nobody can have failed to notice the swell of interest in Classic Fords, particularly the quick ones, and it doesn't look like abating any time soon. This Mexico must surely be one of the best examples available - it is absolutely ready to go and would be an asset to any owner.

From 1987, the designation was officially known as SSE (Supersport Equipment). With flared arches evoking the dramatic appearance of some Porsche models from the past, it was a popular option offering the 'macho' good looks of the Turbo without the associated mechanical complexities. However, it was not cheap adding over £10,000 to the cost of a standard variant by the end of the model's life in 1989, possibly explaining the relatively small build numbers. The spec also included a limited slip differential, the stiffer suspension and superior braking system from the 930 Turbo, a wrap-around deep chin-spoiler, the famous 'tea-tray' rear spoiler, and wider Fuchs alloy wheels. The rarity of M491/Supersport models is undeniable, especially in right-hand drive, but official figures are hard to come by. A respected source quotes that just 651 C16 (UK-supplied) M491 cars (including all Coupés, Targas and Cabriolets) were manufactured between 1984 and 1989. With the passage of time, many Porsche professionals now suggest that 'in the real world' these cars are considerably more desirable than the attention-hungry Turbo. The car presented here is a 1986 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Supersport Targa 'Option M491-Turbo-look' (or as it was officially known in the UK for 1986 only) a 'Carrera with Sport Equipment Turbo Body' (becoming SSE in 1987).Our vendor has supplied a comprehensive history file demonstrating that during the documented 91,000 miles this car has always been very well serviced and maintained. Accompanying the car are two keys, its driver's manual, original stamped up service book, plus a huge history file showing numerous invoices dating back to 1991, 22 old MOTs, 16 expired tax discs, and invoices totalling expenditure of approx £35,700.During the past 12,000 miles, there has been a total expenditure of approximately £20,500. (Including invoicing for replacement oil pipes, front oil cooler, stainless exhaust and cross pipes, new battery, new fuel tank, rear wheel bearings, refurbished brake calipers, gearbox rebuild, new clutch and flywheel, new heater valves and cables, front shock absorbers, uprated 'Turbo' track-rod conversion, and 4 new tyres).During the last few months, the vendor has spent a further £6,000 on a refresh including refurbished Fuchs five-spoke alloys (anodised to factory specification and finished in Grand Prix White), interior seats and steering wheel retrimmed/refurbished, new roof seals, and numerous other areas, the car now presenting extremely well. The car is attractively finished in Iris Blue complemented by a Blue interior with contrasting Pearl White seat inlays and white piping. An official Porsche GB specification sheet is included, documenting this as a genuine Widebody 'Turbo Look' car and listing additional cost options when new. This particular example is one of 220 UK right-hand drive examples, and giving consideration to its lovely condition and stylish colour combination, securing a rare and desirable example such as this, whilst you still can, may well be one of your better decisions.

1987 Ford RS200

Lot # 517 (Sale Order: 17 of 79)

* A 'Group B' rally car for the road. One of only 90 finished to 'road spec'* First registered 24th March 1987. With the original owners until July 1997 when the Hendy Group bought it back* The car has remained within the company's Heritage Collection and has seen infrequent use, but regular maintenance* Mostly being used for shows for display and promotional purposes. Maintained in 'show' condition* Just 8,876 miles on the odometer. UK V5c, MOT until 1st August '18, original leather-bound RS200 driver's manual Ford had been working on a turbocharged machine that could compete with the new breed of 'Group B' Rally cars like the Audi Sport Quattro, Peugeot 205 T16, the Lancia Delta, and their remarkable 037. Unusually for Ford, the solution proved elusive and, with the Escort RS 1700T failing miserably, they were forced to return to the drawing board and start all over again. The result was the RS200, however, Ford had now become 'late starters' and were effectively three years behind. The car was styled by Ghia and, unusually, the bodywork was entrusted to a company who knew a fair bit about building fibreglass cars .. Reliant. The chassis engineering was looked after by F1 gurus Tony Southgate and John Wheeler. Ford bosses demanded that it must have four-wheel drive and it was built around a space frame chassis, Kevlar bodywork, and a potent mid-mounted engine courtesy of well-proven race engine builder Brian Hart. Add to this an innovative front mounted gearbox for better weight distribution and balance plus a variable torque split differential from Ferguson and you had a real beast of a car.The result was spectacular. At the peak of its powers in the hands of star drivers like Stig Blomqvist the larger 2.1 litre Evo engine was claimed to be pushing out around 650 bhp, it was rumoured that even 700/800bhp was used. It looked like Ford finally had the package to win and things were looking promising after Kalle Grundell came home 3rd in the Swedish Rally of 1986, however, the fickle finger of fate was soon to be pointed at Group B. Tragedy struck on the opening stage of the Portuguese Rally when Joaquim Santos lost control of his RS200 and sadly three people died and many others were injured. Marc Surer also crashed his RS200 in the Hessen Rally killing his co-driver. This was the beginning of the end for 'Group B' Rallying. Soon after that Henri Toivonen and his co-driver Sergio Cresto lost their lives on the Tour de Corse when their Lancia Delta left the road. This really was the end of Group B, and it was also the end of an era for the fastest, most dangerous, most spectacular period in modern rallying. As a result, after just one year in competition, it was all over for the RS200 so it never got to show off its full potential, however, it did prove that it had enormous promise with many of the cars being spectacularly successful in Rallycross particularly in the hands of Norwegian Martin Schanche.FIA Homologation Rules for Group B required the construction of at least 200 road-legal vehicles and Ford complied with this building 200 units with enough spare parts for a further 20. Records indicate that 90 of these were eventually to leave the factory finished as road cars.We are pleased to offer this Ford RS200, chassis #0053, which was supplied new by Hendy Ford, Eastleigh to another retail Ford dealer at the time, Nicklens of Fordingbridge, under their parent company Shearing Builders Ltd. The car was first registered on 24th March 1987 and remained with the original owners until July 1997 when the Hendy Group bought it back through their Cosham branch. Ever since, the car has remained within the company's heritage collection of cars and has seen infrequent use, mostly being taken out to shows for display and promotional purposes. Although not driven regularly, it has been well maintained and the car has been through the workshops annually to ensure it's always ready to go.Now showing just 8,876 miles on the odometer, this rare car is supplied with a UK V5c, an MOT until 1st August '18, and its original leather bound RS200 driver's manual. In very original condition, this fabulous RS200 evokes memories of one of the most dramatic eras in rallying history and may well be the missing jigsaw piece in a Ford collector's puzzle.

1995 Porsche 928 GTS

Lot # 518 (Sale Order: 18 of 79)

* Right-hand drive GTS, 5.4-Litre V8, 345bhp, "Dynamic Kickdown" auto box* One of the last 928s to be built in the last year of production * Full Porsche Main Dealer history from new, including the PDI inspection stamps. 49 stamps in the book* Factory built replacement engine (s/steel liners) fitted by Porsche under warranty. 60K miles* Excellent original factory paint in Dark Blue with good shut linesIn terms of the 928, in 1989 Porsche moved the game on with the even more powerful 928 GT, which with a top speed of around 170mph was the Stuttgart firm's fastest production car at that time, before launching the model's ultimate incarnation: the 928 GTS. Introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1991, the latter boasted a 5.4-litre engine producing all of 345bhp and automatics were fitted with the much faster responding 'Dynamic Kickdown' gearboxes setting them apart from the previous models. The GTS model also benefitted from a complete electrical revamp, eradicating the problems of past models.nd in this form the 928 lasted in production until the model's deletion in 1995. This particular model is one of the last 928s to be built in their last year of production and benefits from a full Porsche Main Dealer history from new, including the PDI inspection stamps. In total there are 49 stamps in the book, including gearbox and airbag services, and the car has never been serviced other than by official Porsche engineers. The indicated mileage is 141,000. The car also benefits from a factory built, stainless steel liner, replacement engine fitted by Porsche under warranty. These engines are incredibly rare as they were only built by Porsche to overcome the excessive oil burn the V8 suffered from and were only ever hand built. This engine has only covered 60k since it was fitted and is backed up by emails from the supplying dealer. According to our vendor, the coachwork is “Excellent without any dents, the paintwork is factory original and 8/10, the trim is immaculate, the engine is silky smooth without any leaks, the transmission performs perfectly with the kickdown working smoothly in every gear, and the electrics are problem free” The car has refurbished wheels and has been regularly detailed by Ultimate Finish of Brands Hatch, where it is kept in climate controlled storage, complete with bespoke fitted cotton cover. This is a lovely example with a comprehensive history. Porsche has not made anything like it since and today this appreciating modern classic enjoys an enthusiastic following worldwide. The registration number M800 UKY is not included and a new one will be issued prior to sale.

1956 Jaguar XK140 3.4 FHC

Lot # 520 (Sale Order: 20 of 79)

* Stylish Fifties Fixed Head Coupé from long-term ownership* An original, UK-supplied, matching numbers, right-hand drive car* Owned by our vendor's family for 43 years and maintained by them* Major mechanical work in 2006 followed by a respray in 2007. Photographs with the car* Recent new tank and exhaust Jaguar Cars launched the XK140 at the London Motor Show in October 1954 with a raft of improvements over its predecessor, the 'landmark' XK 120. Introduced as a replacement, the XK140 was more powerful and, rather than being an uncompromised sports car, was a much more comfortable and capable long distance machine. The styling was enhanced with a revised grille and larger bumpers along with new rear lights, which now incorporated the indicators. The handling was improved by rack and pinion steering (from the C-Type) and telescopic dampers, whilst the interior space was enlarged to allow the addition of occasional rear seats. The new car was powered by the well-tried Jaguar XK 3.4-litre twin-cam six-cylinder engine with 'Special Equipment' modifications from the XK120, which raised the output by 10bhp to 190bhp, and the C-Type cylinder head was an option producing 210bhp.Offered here is a Jaguar XK140 FHC that has been in long-term family ownership since 1975 when it was purchased by our vendor's father. As a competent engineer, he embarked on a comprehensive restoration of the Jaguar and subsequent maintenance thereafter. The Heritage Certificate from Jaguar Cars Ltd. Browns Lane (October 1993) confirms that it left the production line on 17th July 1956 and was despatched to Henlys of London in its original colour of Suede Green with a matching green leather interior. The history file contains a comprehensive account of the initial restoration and the subsequent work leading up to the car's repaint in 2007. A series of invoices dated 2006 from Paul Roach Jaguar detail a significant amount of mechanical work carried out prior to stripping the car and preparing it for a fresh coat of paint. The respray in Old English White was carried out to a very high standard by the Bury St. Edmunds Paintshop and the quality of the finish still impresses today. There is a good photographic record of this restoration in the file. More recently the care and maintenance of this venerable Jaguar have been entrusted to well-respected automotive engineers Abbott Racing and in January of this year, the XK was fitted with a new fuel tank and exhaust system. The car generally presents really well in gleaming white with silver wires and with sound mechanics is very usable, however, a little cosmetic detailing here and there could turn it into something special. With the growth in value of classic Jaguars over the last fifteen years generating an increasing number of disposals it's now rare to have long-term ownership cars come to the market and this lovely Coupé certainly fits the bill. A stylish fifties Jaguar awaiting her next owner.

1987 BMW E30 M3

Lot # 522 (Sale Order: 22 of 79)

* A very smart M3 with Evolution 2 upgrades. 220bhp. Excellent paintwork and interior* 'Evo 2' front spoiler, brake ducts, cooling vent, 16” wheels, and M-Technic steering wheel* Matching numbers. Lots of paperwork and history. Original German registration document * Recent maintenance. Freshly MOT'd The E30 M3 was the first purpose-built saloon produced by BMW at their in-house Motorsport Division as a racing homologation special. Introduced in 1986 as a road car, it dominated Touring Car racing throughout the World taking countless titles including the prestigious German, Australian and British championships, not to mention the World Touring Car Championship in 1987. This E30 M3 was initially registered on 09.09.1987 to the factory in Munich and was enjoyed by two private owners in Germany before being exported to the UK and re-registered in July 1997. The supporting paperwork and the International Admission Certificate are in the owner's file along with the original handbooks, M3 supplement, and a substantial number of receipts, invoices, MOT certificates and tax discs etc. covering 22 years from 1996 whilst the car was still in Germany and continuing to the present day. The Service Booklet appears to be missing, however, the information contained in the service invoices and old MOTs would suggest the current odometer reading of 169,000 is correct.According to the original German registration document, it has matching chassis and engine numbers (WBSAK050901891805/60054041) and the same document indicates that from late 1988, this M3 benefited from an upgrade to Evolution 2 specification raising the power output to 220bhp. It's also fitted with an Evolution 2 front spoiler, brake ducts, cooling vent, 16” wheels, and M-Technic steering wheel. Original equipment includes an electric sunroof, rear sun blind, and heated seats and the tool kit remains in place. The car will be freshly MOT'd for the sale and we understand recent maintenance has included replacement Koni front shock absorber inserts, 'Powerflex' front lower arm rear bushes, new distributor cap, new rotor arm, and front and rear brake pads and sensors. The original Alpine White paintwork remains in very nice condition as does the interior which features Recaro seats in Anthracite Grey 'half' leather with a grey check cloth. The World's enthusiasm for the E30 M3 shows no sign of diminishing and this lovely example is sure to find a good home.

2010 Porsche 911 (997) GT2 RS

Lot # 523 (Sale Order: 23 of 79)

* 1 of only 500 built worldwide and originally supplied to Norway* Carrera White with a black leather and Alcantara interior* Impressive specification including the mighty PCCB ceramic brakes and Sport Chrono package plus. * Showing just 5,950 miles this fabulous modern classic presents superbly and will reward any inspection. The prospect of combining the most powerful turbo engine in their range at the time with a manual gearbox, and mounting them in a rear-wheel drive lightweight 911 was the inspiration for the rather special, GT2. Simultaneously Porsche would upgrade and modify the suspension and brakes, increase the engine output and extensively lighten the car, to create the ultimate driver's version of the current model at that point. This recipe has been used, to great effect, with the 993, 996 and 997 versions of their iconic 911.This car is the 997 GT2 RS version of the Porsche 911 introduced in May 2010 and is one of just 500 produced worldwide. The 3.6-litre engine uses twin variable-geometry water cooled turbochargers to produce a serious 620bhp and 516 lbs-feet of torque through a six-speed manual transmission, leading to a maximum speed in excess of 205mph and a 0-60mph time of just 3.4 seconds! In simple terms, it was the most powerful, road legal 911 ever manufactured at the time. Stopping power, with big Porsche Composite Ceramic Brakes, is equally impressive.Delivered new to Norway and subsequently sold on the 17th November 2010, this rare GT2RS is presented in Carrera White with black leather and Alcantara interior and has only covered just over 5,900 miles from new. The impressive specification is listed here: Desirable factory options include:Black Leather & Alcantara Interior6-Speed Manual Transmission Air Conditioning PCCB Ceramic Brakes PCM 3 Navigation Module Sound Package Upgraded Carbon Folding Bucket Seats Sport Chrono Package Plus Exterior Package In Carbon Carbon Centre Air Vent Door Entry Guards In Carbon With Logo Decorative Dashboard Trim In Carbon Carbon Trim On Belt Opening In B-pillar Rear Section Of Centre Console In Carbon Porsche Crest Embossed In Headrests Side Air Vent In Carbon On-Board Computer PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) Electrically Adjustable Heated Door Mirrors CD Compartment PSM Porsche Stability Management Tyre Pressure Monitoring SystemXenon Lighting System. This car was imported into the UK in 2017 and then serviced by JZM in May of that year before selling onto our vendor in June. He is a passionate and knowledgeable Porsche man and only buys the best cars he can find - this car is no exception to his rule. Presenting as you would expect for the mileage indicated, this car will reward any close inspection, which we actively encourage. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and all the appropriate books and manuals, this is a very worthy consideration for any serious collector.

He had been involved with the on-going development of the car and his recommendations had been implemented in the production process, most notably the stiffening of the aluminium monocoque, a production car first. The Honda NSX was an engineering masterpiece with the famous Honda VTEC engine technology and handling that surpassed all its supercar rivals. After all, his NSX did remain one of the most cherished possessions of the greatest race driver of our generation. The 'Facelift' cars are very rare with just 85 sold in the UK between 2002 and 2005. This example has clearly led a pampered life since leaving the showroom in 2004 and is said to have been exercised regularly, stored correctly and maintained regardless of mileage or cost. No less than 12 Honda main dealer service stamps can be found in the service book with corresponding paper invoices located in the history file. Specified from new with cruise control, air conditioning, climate control and full onyx perforated leather, the car also benefits from a more modern 'Category 1' security system. Also in the history file, you will discover a letter from Inchcape Honda confirming that they had hand-picked this car in 2008 due to its outstanding condition and planned to use it as a centrepiece in their newly opened Romford Showroom.Probably unrepeatable, this UK-delivered, RHD manual gearbox NSX with fully documented history, very low mileage (16,928Miles) and presented in arguably the best colour combination of Formula Red on Black Onyx perforated leather is not to be missed,
