Selling the Christ Lutheran Church and home located in historic Nauvoo, IL, property will be offered in 2 tracts. Tract 1 will include the church (see history of the church over 170 years listed below). Tract 2 will be the home.

This lot is informational and may be used for test bidding - place your actual bids below on Lots #1 & 2.
Both tracts will sell for a "lump sum" total dollar amount. Tract 1 & 2 will sell individually & NOT together. A survey is in progress and will be completed prior to sale date.
Immediately following the auction the successful buyer(s) will be required to sign a real estate sales contract & pay 20% of the bid price as a non-refundable down payment which will be held in escrow until closing. The balance of the purchase price will be due at closing on or before November 25, 2022.
Bidding is not subject to financing.

Tract 1 - Church

PLEASE NOTE: ALL STAINED GLASS WINDOWS, LARGE HISTORIC 1870's CHURCH BELL, LIGHTS, CEILING FANS, & PERMANENT FIXTURES WILL STAY INTACT AND STAY WITH THE REAL ESTATE.

- 1851 - Congregation started by German immigrants.
- 1876 - Current church building built on the site of the "New York Store".
- 1879 - December 18, a bell was purchased and installed in the steeple. Cost was $131.26 and weighed 402 lbs. The bell was made by the Buckeye Bell Foundry and purchased from Vanduzen & Tift, Cincinnati, Ohio.
- 1907 - New parsonage. By March 6th $2,000 had been raised and the structure was dedicated on October 6, 1907.
- 1909 - Eight stained glass windows were installed, at the cost of $37.50 each.
- 1916 - The large "I am the Good Shepard" window was dedicated November 5, 1916.
- 1950 - Eight wrought iron light fixtures were installed in the sanctuary.
- 1970 - Purchased 12 stained glass windows from Appanoose Faith Presbyterian Church, they were originally in the Faith Presbyterian Church in Niota, IL.
- 1971 - Current Luther Hall dedicated and stained glass window at the back of the church was installed.
