Bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted short curly lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined space betw...moreeen the shaded lips, blonde mohair wig, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume including wonderful brushed flannel coat with long curly mohair fringe. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 119/Baby 62. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, a continuation model from the firm's art reform series, the use of the English language word "baby" in the head markings indicates its intention for the American or English market; the scarcity of the model suggests either its failure as a commercial endeavor or its exclusive production for a specific store. Value Points: extremely rare, few examples of this "119/Baby" model are known to exist, this example with finest quality of bisque and sculpting, original body and body finish.

Brown-spotted white mohair pup with long floppy ears, amber glass eyes, light brown stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, tail, brown leather collar with lea...moresh, has hinged legs with hidden metal wheels allowing the pup to be pulled along in a brisk walking action. The dog has original red metal tag "DRGM D.R. Patent Trippel Trappel BTE SGDG Engl. Patent, Amerik Pat. Appd For" and with Bing logo on reverse side. Excellent condition, mohair well preserved. Germany, Bing of Bavaria, circa 1912, the toy was made in a variety of different dogs, but is very rare to find especially in this fine condition.

The rich mahogany slant front desk with two pencil drawers and two full width drawers is decorated with inlay marquetry borders on drop fro...morent and drawers, and with an oval hand-painted panel of cherub in country scene surrounded by a garland of Flowers. The desk top has another handpainted arrangement of flutes and tambourines. Excellent condition, missing one small wooden piece on right front foot, and 1 1/2" piece of missing marquetry border. English, mid-1800s, superb workmanship and design enhanced by finest woods and hand-painting.

Of finest white porcelain with hand-painted designs of wildflower sprays and colorful butterflies, and with gilt edging, the service for four comp...morerises six large dinner plates, six smaller plates, six scalloped rim dessert plates, oval and round platters, four lidded tureens in various sizes, two footed bowls, one footed fruit bowl, and relish dish, along with four napkin rings, four forks, four spoons, ladle, two glass relish dishes, four goblets and two decanters, each tied into the box with original rose silk bows. Along with four linen napkins with woven butterfly design. The wooden box has floral-lithographed paper cover with gilt edging and hinges open to a multi-tiered arrangement with pink paper shelving and embossed gilt paper edging. French, circa 1880, the superb state of preservation is enhanced by the luxury origin of the presentation, and wonderful "butterfly" theme.

Carved wooden socket head with bald pate, painted white clown complexion with painted facial features, wide smile, red and black painted clown decorations on...more face, wooden torso, wooden arms jointed at shoulders with attached wooden gloved hands, wooden legs with hinge-jointing at hips to allow seated pose, wooden painted red shoes on feet, wearing black and white clown costume and cap which appears original. Condition: generally excellent, original finish overall with small paint restoration on forehead. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1910, the very rare exhibition clown was created on commission for toy stores as promotion for the firm's Humpty Dumpty Circus and very few are known to exist.

Rare Carved Fleece-Coated Reindeer from FAO Schwarz 800/1100

13" (33 cm.) l. The carved wooden reindeer standing with head turned alertly to the side, has golden fleeced coat, amber glass eyes, black snout and hoofs, and carved det...moreachable antlers. The reindeer has applied leather harness and saddle blanket. Excellent condition. Mid-1900s, an identical reindeer with clockwork mechanism was offered at FAO Schwartz during this era, and this is likely a variation of that presentation.
