1940 MERCURY 2DR SEDAN "THE EASTER EGG"

This is a unique car and a piece of Regehr history. This 1940 Mercury 2dr Sedan, was called the Easter Egg. 99A107365. Title. The car was one of Bob Regehr' s 1st cars. He bought the car when he was 14 years old. He would cruise the town with this car and he met his wife in this car. He had drove the car to Mexico and had an interior put in the car. The car is painted a wild green with yellow and everyone called it the Easter Egg cause of the paint job. The car has a Flathead V8 and 3 speed manual transmission on the column. It has chrome headers. There are 55,166 miles on the odometer. There are some lights broke and trim gone. The interior is a white tuck and roll and needs cleaning. Green carpet. Cool vintage hotrod in it's day. Does not run. This is part of the amazing Regehr Collection in Hutchinson, KS on Oct. 24th, 2020. The engine has less than 100 miles on it at that time. Bob Regehr bought it back in the 1960's. The truck is green in color with cream trim. It is a long box and has a side mounted spare tire. There now is some rust in the lower door and lower fender. The truck has a Flathead V8 with Manual transmission. The odometer shows 33,106 miles. it has a split windshield. there is a crack in the glass. It does not run at this time. The car is a beautiful turquoise and white in color. Bel Air stainless trim. It's a beautiful car. It ran when parked, we have not tried to get it running. The car has a small block Chevrolet V8 with Holley 4 bbl carb and added chrome valve covers. There is an Edelbrock AL2 intake. Early powerpack heads.. casting 3970020. See pic of from stamp plate on front of motor for decode. There appears to be some corrosion on the bottom the radiator. The car has an automatic transmission. There are 5,916 miles on the restore.
