Colt Model 1862 Police Pocket Pistol

Presented for sale in this lot is a Colt Model 1862 Police Pocket Pistol. This revolver has a very low three digit serial number and is in decent condition for its age (showing signs of wear). The finish is nearly gone, there is some pitting and dings throughout. It has wood grips, which have some wear to the corners. It has a fluted cylinder and matching serial numbers on the barrel, frame and trigger guard (no serial number visible on the butt strap)....It has the one line NY barrel address. This revolver cycles properly, however we have not fired it. Keep in mind this is an antique and not warranted safe to shoot and should not be attempted to without the aid of an expert. This pistol is in pretty good condition, showing signs of wear, with a great look to it. It has a nickel finish and faux ivory grips. There is some light wear to the nickel finish, but not bad. The Colt Model 1855 Root side-hammer percussion Pocket Revolver was manufactured from 1855 through to 1870 in both .28 and .31 caliber. It was designed by Samuel Colt even-though it was named after Elisha K. Root who was Colt?s factory foreman and general superintendent. It has the two-line Hartford barrel address. It cycles, however the cylinder free-wheels and does not always lock into place. Colt Double Action Frontier Six Shooter

Lot # 39 (Sale Order: 34 of 285)      

Offered for sale in this lot is a model 1878 Colt Double Action Frontier Six Shooter. This pistol is in poor condition and seems to be working in double action but the hammer does not stay cocked back when used in single action. Cylinder does not always cycle properly. It has the wrong grips. Barrel address and serial numbers are very hard to read from being worn down. The serial number is 11??5, putting it in the early 1880s range. 278 is marked on both the loading gate and under the right grip. It appears to be a .44 cal.. A good project gun.... This pistol is in poor condition and seems to be working in double action but the ha...moremmer does not stay cocked back when used in single action. Cylinder does not always cycle properly. It has the wrong grips. Barrel address and serial numbers are very hard to read from being worn down. The serial number is 11??5, putting it in the early 1880s range. 278 is marked on both the loading gate and under the right grip. It appears to be a .44 cal.. A good project gun....
