1937 Winchester Model 12 SKEET Grade (26" SK), 28 Ga., Pump Shotgun, 749559

Lot # 2

According to the Winchester Arms Collectors Organization serial number database, this "Pre-War" Model 12 Takedown 28-gauge "SKEET Grade" slide-action shotgun was produced...more in 1937. According to estimated factory records, fewer than 5 percent of Model 12s were manufactured in 28-gauge, with only about 2,900 produced prior to WWII. This shotgun is numbers matching receiver & barrel collar and is correctly marked "28" internally on rear of receiver collar & lifter pin, as well as the magazine band. This shotgun is marked "SKEET" on the bottom of the receiver (SKEET Grade) and also marked "SKEET" on the barrel (SKEET Choke). The barrel is correctly roll marked: "2 7/8 CHAM./ WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL -MODEL 12-28 GA." SPECS: 26" barrel with solid serrated rib & dual bead sights, select grade walnut stock with diamond cut dual-outlined checkering/ fluted comb & glossed finish, black hard-rubber grip cap marked "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.", black hard-rubber checkered buttpad with Winchester Repeating Arms Co. circle logo, checkered cross-bolt safety on the trigger guard, serrated receiver top and 14" LOP. CONDITION: This shotgun sports a very tasteful/light rebluing on the barrel & receiver, is in beautiful condition with very light age wear, has a clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Winchester Model 1912 (also commonly known as the Model 12) is an internal hammer pump-action shotgun with an external tube magazine and popularly named the "Perfect Repeater". Initially chambered for 20 gauge only, the 12 and 16 gauge versions were first cataloged in 1913, and the 28 gauge version came out in 1934. With forged and machined steel parts, the ultimate reason for its discontinuation in 1964 was that it was too expensive to produce at a competitive price. Special production examples were produced by Winchester & Browning through specialized gun collector purchase programs, but the original "Perfect Repeater" shotgun was never mass produced after 1964. It was offered in several grades to include: Standard Field Gun, Tournament, Riot Gun, Trench Gun, Trap, Heavy Duck, Skeet, Pigeon and Super Pigeon. The 28-gauge version was built on a 20-gauge frame and was produced from 1934-1960. In 1950, the 28-gauge Field Grade was discontinued "as a standard offering" while the Skeet Grade continued to be offered until 1960. The Model 12 28-gauge is the most valued by collectors with so few produced. It has been mentioned as one of today's top five "investment grade" shotguns due to the continuous popularity of Model 12s in the American market throughout the years. According to the current Blue Book Of Gun Values, a Winchester Skeet Grade Model 12 28-gauge has a fair market value of $3,850 - $11,750 depending on condition with 10% added for a solid rib model. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

The Type 14 Nambu is chambered for the 8×22mm cartridge and gets its name from the year it was produced - the 14th year of the Taisho era, or 1926, and were used mostly by officers who had to pay for their pistols themselves. From 1927, it was a standard issue sidearm for officers and used through WWII. It is believed that around 400,000 Type 14 Nambus were produced, but the exact number is unknown as Japanese soldiers considered their weapons property of the emperor, and many chose to destroy their pistols or throw them into the ocean to avoid them falling into enemy hands. NECKAR" (factory & patents office) on the right sight, "515446" (serial number) on the left side of the receiver flat/ rear frame & rear rocker, "5446" (partial serial number) on the bolt handle, "446" (partial serial number) on the hammer & lower sight leaf, "2563" (non-matching serial number) on the bolt stop, German proof stamp on the left side of the barrel flat, "WAFFENFABRIK/ MAUSER/ OBERNDORF AN" on the top of the barrel flat and various German proof stamps. This pistol is import marked by "KFS". SPECS: 3.9" barrel, ribbed walnut "Broomhandel" style pistol grips, adjustable folding tangent rear sight, fixed front post sight, lanyard stud, grooved rear strap for a shoulder stock and 10-round stripper clip fed internal box magazine. CONDITION: This pistol is in nice condition with light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The German arms manufacturer Mauser produced the C96 pistol from 1896 to 1937 in a variety of variations for military & commercial sales. It was used by many countries, including Germany, Spain, China, and the Soviet Union. The distinctive characteristics of the C96 are the integral box magazine in front of the trigger, a grip shaped like the handle of a broom and a wooden shoulder stock which doubles as a holster or carrying case. The grip earned the gun the nickname "broomhandle" in the English-speaking world, and in China the C96 was nicknamed the "box cannon" because of its rectangular internal magazine and because it could be holstered in its wooden box-like detachable stock. The Treaty of Versailles (signed in 1919) imposed a number of restrictions on pistol barrel lengths and calibers on German arms manufacturers. Pistols for German government issue or domestic market sales could not have a barrel longer than 4 inches and could not be chambered for 9 mm cartridges. Mauser manufactured a compliant version of the C96 for commercial sale from 1921-1930, known as the Model 1921. It featured smaller grips, a shorter 3.9 inch barrel, and was chambered for the standard 7.63×25mm Mauser. It was sold in quantity to armies in the contested Baltic region and was carried by the Poles, Lithuanians, German Freikorps and White Russians. The Bolshevik government (and later the new Red Army) of the embryonic Soviet Union purchased large numbers of this model in the 1920s and also appropriated them from defeated enemies. The distinctive M1921 pistol became associated with the Bolsheviks and was thus nicknamed the "Bolo". The "Bolo" Model was also popular elsewhere, as the shorter barrel and smaller overall size made the gun easier to conceal. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

1976 Colt-Sauer Sporting Rifle - Leupold (24"), 300 Wby. Mag., Bolt-Action, CR12681

Lot # 16

According to Colt Archives Serial Number Database, this Colt-Sauer Sporting Rifle (300 Weatherby Magnum) was produced in Germany by J.P. Sauer & Sohn in 1976. SPECS: Glos...moresed walnut Monte Carlo stock with deep-cut skip-line checkering & fluted high comb with raised cheek, Rosewood forearm tip with white spacer, Rosewood grip cap with Rampant Colt medallion inlay & white spacer, black textured rubber ventilated recoil pad with embossed COLT SAUER SPORTING RIFLE & black/ white spacers, high luster polished blued receiver with a Magnum Action , 24" barrel with recessed crown & high luster polished blued finish, grooved trigger with adjustable stop, detachable box magazine with high luster polished blued finish, sling studs and mounted Leupold Vari-X III 3.5x10 scope. CONDITION: This rifle is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Colt-Sauer bolt-action rifle was produced in Germany by J.P. Sauer & Sohn from 1971 to 1985. These high-quality bolt-action rifles were built primarily for the American hunting market at the behest of Colt with very strict specifications. The design was unique to the time. To increase operating speed, a Colt Sauer’s bolt locks up without rotating by utilizing three internally-cammed locking lugs. These rifles are known for having a very smooth bolt travel and were advertised as “The most accurate rifle ever made,” and “These are the smoothest actions you will ever cycle & are remarkably accurate”. The bolt has a lift of 60 degrees, making the rifle easier to operate with a mounted scope. The receiver was produced in four variants: (1) Short-Action chambered for 222 Rem., 22-250 Rem., 243 Win. & 308 Win.; (2) Medium-Action chambered for 25-06 Rem., 270 Win. & 30-06 Sprg.; (3) Magnum-Action chambered for 7mm Rem. Mag., 300 Win., 300 Weatherby Mag. & 375 H & H; (4) Safari-Magnum only chambered in 458 Win. Mag. All variants offered sleek lines and clear attention to detail from end-to-end. While Sauer was building the specific rifles at the behest of Colt, that was for the American market. The design held an allure for Europeans as well. Sauer produced the Model 80 for its home market. Shortly thereafter, whether at the prodding of Colt or not, Sauer incorporated enough minor design changes to re-brand as the Sauer Model 90 and 92 for the European market. These rifles were built with essentially the same action, but each offered small part changes, aesthetic options, and caliber additions. Production continued on these European wonders until the early 2000s, a much longer run than that of the Colt Sauer. Rumors from Colt historians indicate that Colt provided the wood to Sauer for use on all Colt Sauer-branded guns for both control and continuity in the rifle’s appearance. This would make sense, as the rifles produced solely by Sauer use a more varied repertoire of stock types and finishes. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

There are four known variations of German Army 38H pistols: 1st Variation - serial number range 271456 to 273082 (estimated 1,000 pistols), 2nd Variation - serial number range 273446 to 332000 (estimated 9,000 pistols), 3rd Variation - serial number range 332000 to 484000 (estimated 30,000 pistols), 4th Variation - serial number range 484000 to 507000 (estimated 10,000 pistols). The manual safety was eliminated in the fourth variation. A ‘Patent’ mark on the left side of the slide was eliminated within the last two variations. The JP Sauer & Sohn Model 38H was a well made and reliable pistol that served the German forces and police very well during World War II. It has become a very popular pistol among collectors due the low production, as well as its unique design and features. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. This pistol comes with a period correct brown leather holster which is stamped "P. Mod. 27" along with the year of production "1942", the Czech rampant lion inside an N proof mark, and the same German WaA76 acceptance mark found on the pistol. The magazine is correctly marked "P Mod 27" on the bottom. SPECS: Phosphate military finish, 3.9" barrel, brown checkered Bakelite wrap-around grips with embossed CZ logo, four-groove rear slide serrations, dovetailed v-notch rear sight, fixed blade front sight, semi-concealed round serrated hammer, thumb safety, slide stop, loaded chamber indicator and 8-round steel magazine. CONDITION: This pistol is in good condition with some various light surface wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The vz. 27 is a Czechoslovakian semi-automatic pistol, based on the previous Model vz. 24 that was chambered for 7.65 Browning/.32 ACP and produced from 1927-1950. Production can be broken down into three periods; pre-war (1927-1939), German WWII production (1940-1945), and post-war production (1945-1950). When Germany secured Czechoslovakia in 1939, the entire Czech arms industry was put into motion. The German army for instance, satisfied with the Czech LT-38 tanks, incorporated them into Panzer regiments under the designation Panzerkampfwagon 38t. Pistols were no exception to this rule. The Heereswaffenamt (German Army Weapons Office) examined the Czech Cz-27 and, liking what they saw, ordered Ceska Zbrojovka to continue producing the sidearm. The CZ plant at Strakonice was renamed Bohmische Waffenfabrik AG and production was restarted on the pistol which was given the German designation Pistole Modell 27. These sidearms were primarily issued to security forces and police units, while the Luftwaffe and Army also employed the pistol. Upon the conclusion of the war, the company quickly returned to its old name and to production of the Cz-27 as well. The Czech government ordered 45,000 which were produced in 1945 to 1946. In the late 1940s, the pistol was exported to a number of countries and military contracts were signed with India, Poland, and several South American nations. Model 27 production was officially phased out in 1950 with the introduction of the 7.65mm Cz-50. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

CONDITION: This pistol is in good condition with some various light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The French Model 17 "Unique" pistol was a rebranded Spanish Ruby pistol produced by d’Armes de Pyrenees Francaises better known by the acronym MAPF, starting in 1937. The company, d’Armes des Pyrennees Francaises (MAPF) had been producing a Ruby type pistol in France since 1928. The French Model 17 competed against the Model 1935 for a military contract but ultimately failed to secure military adoption. However, with war looming in 1939, French Model 17s were issued in small numbers to help outfit French soldiers. In June of 1940, the French fell to the invading German army who took over production of the French Model 17 pistol. The German Occupation Model was an improved design that sported a case hardened hammer and arched curved grip which gave a more comfortable hold in the shooter's hand. These pistols were marked with the Waffenamt Eagle WaA251, and later WaAD30A. A French Ministry of War letter states that 18,000 of the Unique 17 pistols were procured before the French surrender on 22 June, 1940. Approximately 20,000 German models were produced during occupation - ending at approximate serial number 77,000. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. 1975 Winchester 9422M (20"), 22 Win. Magnum, Lever-Action Rifle, F190947

Lot # 42

According to the Winchester Arms Collectors Organization 9422 serial number chart, this rifle was produced in 1975. SPECS: Smooth American walnut stock with glossed finis...moreh, 20 3/8" barrel with recessed crown, high luster polished bluing, black checkered buttpad with embossed Winchester logo, dovetailed adjustable elevator semi-buckhorn rear sight, hooded ramp front sight, grooved receiver top with mounted Bushnell Sportview 3-9x32 scope and 11-round tubular magazine. CONDITION: This rifle is in nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: In 1972, Winchester Repeating Arms Company had just invested a large amount of money in computer-controlled manufacturing equipment that would help to update their sadly antiquated plant in New Haven, Connecticut. Embarrassed that economy moves had cheapened many of their firearms and tarnished Winchester's reputation for quality, the management sought to make a new flagship .22 rifle that would erase that image and reflect quality in every respect. The result was the Model 9422, and it did indeed revitalize Winchester's reputation. Although now no longer made, this lever action look-alike to the time-honored Model 94 .30-30 has become a sought-after modern classic. Winchester spared no expense in making the rifle as perfect as possible. The best materials were used; a milled forged steel frame and internal parts and a walnut stock were standard. The rifle was attractive, reliable, and accurate. Careful bluing and fitting were employed. Although traditional open sights were utilized, the receiver was grooved for scope mounting if desired. Following the Model 61 precedent, the rifle could be taken down into two major assemblies plus the bolt, allowing cleaning from the breech to protect the muzzle from damage. All in all, the new gun could easily be termed a masterpiece. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

1940 (Pre-64) Winchester 94 (20"), 30 W.C.F., Lever-Action Rifle, 1228452

Lot # 44

According to the Winchester Arms Collectors Organization serial number database, this Model 1894 lever-action rifle was produced in 1940. CONDITION: This rifle is in good condition with some various light wear & bluing fade, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Winchester Model 1894, or Model 94, is a lever-action repeating rifle & carbine that became one of the most famous and popular hunting rifles of all time. It was designed by John Browning in 1894, and originally chambered to fire two metallic black powder cartridges, the .32-40 and .38-55. It was an almost instant success for Winchester. Its lightweight, compact design paired with the power packing punch, quickly made it popular among hunters. Its success was pushed even further during World War I after the U.S. Army signed an order for 1,800 rifles to members of the Signal Corps stationed in the Pacific Northwest. A "Pre-64" refers to a Winchester Model 94 lever-action rifle manufactured before 1964, which is considered by collectors to be a particularly desirable period due to the higher quality craftsmanship and materials used in earlier models, often featuring a better quality of wood and metalwork compared to later production runs; the "Pre-64" designation signifies a rifle made before the company's manufacturing practices changed significantly around that time. One of the best-selling lever action rifles in American history, the Winchester Model 1894 hit the one million mark in 1927. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. Walther PPK/S - AAA Engraved "Regal" (3.3"), 380 ACP, Semi-Auto Pistol, AB149565

Lot # 49

ENGRAVING INFO: This Walther Model PPK/s semi-automatic pistol was master engraved by Merlin Enright of Altamont Co. on special order. This stainless steel work of art is...more selectively covered in deep relief scroll patterns. This is American engraving at its finest. The bright factory polish is accentuated by the contrasting sections of deep relief engraving. The scroll flows in the unique neoclassical signature style of the engraver. The select grade wood grips depict an American under the classic Walther banner on each side. The combination of depth and detail makes this piece a rare find. This is simply an elegant pistol. ADDITIONAL SPECS: DA/ SA trigger, 3.3" barrel, serrated top strap with fixed sights, rear slide serrations and 7-round stainless steel magazine. CONDITION: This pistol is in beautiful condition with no wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. This estate owned pistol is believed to have been purchased/ special ordered new. This gun does not come with the original box; however, if the family of the estate finds it while going through other personal property, the new buyer will inherit it - no guarantees. HISTORY: The Walther PP (police pistol) was developed by the German arm's manufacturer Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen in 1929. The series also includes the PPK, PPK/S, and PPK/E models. The original PP was designed for police use and was used by police forces in Europe in the 1930s and later. It was designed with several safety features, some of them innovative, including an automatic hammer block, a combination safety/de-cocker and a loaded chamber. The PPK ("police pistol criminal") was a smaller version of the PP with a shorter grip, barrel and frame. Nazi leader Adolf Hitler committed suicide with his PPK in the Fuhrerbunker in Berlin, and the fictional secret agent James Bond used a Walther PPK in many of the novels and films. The PPK/S was developed following the enactment of the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA68) in the United States, the pistol's largest market. One of the provisions of GCA68 banned the importation of pistols and revolvers not meeting certain requirements of length, weight, and other "sporting" features into the United States. The PPK failed the "Import Points" test of the GCA68 by a single point. Walther addressed this situation by combining the PP's frame with the PPK's barrel and slide to create a pistol that weighed slightly more than the PPK. The additional ounce or two of weight of the PPK/S compared to the PPK was sufficient to provide the extra needed import points. ALTAMONT CO. 1966 Colt SAA "Frontier Scout" (4.75") - Second Gen., 22 LR & Magnum, Revolver (W/ Box), 206422F

Lot # 55

According to Colt Archives serial number database, this Second Generation Single-Action Army Frontier Scout "Dual Cylinder" Revolver was produced in 1966. This revolver c...moreomes with both 22 LR & 22 Magnum cylinders. SPECS: Black checkered plastic grips with embossed Rampant Colt & American Eagle/ shield crest, aluminum alloy frame with blued finish, 4.75" steel barrel with blued finish, fixed groove rear sight, fixed blade front sight, checkered hammer and 6-shot cylinders. This revolver comes in the original two-piece wood grain cardboard box - does not include paperwork. CONDITION: This revolver is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Colt Single Action Army (SAA) is a single-action revolver designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892. At the beginning of World War II, Colt ceased production of the Single Action Army revolver to devote more time to filling orders for the war. When the war ended, the advent of television and Western themed movies created customer demand for the western-style revolver, so Colt resumed manufacturing in 1956 with the Second Generation line of Single Action Army revolvers. These Second Generation Colt Single Action Army revolvers were produced from 1956 to 1974. The SAA "Frontier Scout" was introduced in 1957, and was produced until 1970 when Colt carried on with their Peacemaker 22 and then later a “New Frontier Scout”. The Frontier Scout was a .22 caliber version of the original SAA that was scaled down slightly and was lighter than its bigger bore brother. Between 1957 and 1970, Colt made some different variations of the Frontier Scout. These variations were mostly finishing differences and a few different grip styles. A majority of Frontier Scouts had black plastic grips which Colt referred to as "Black Checkered Ebony Composition Grips. When Frontier Scout revolvers were shipped from the factory, they were packaged in layered cardboard boxes with wood grain. The .22 SAA "New Frontier" was introduced in 1961, and the name “New Frontier” took advantage of the slogan made popular by President John F. Kennedy. A Third Generation of Colt SAAs began in 1975, characterized by a change in barrel thread pitch and a solid cylinder bushing replacing the removable/replaceable part from the first and second generations. A Cross-Bolt Safety was implemented in 1982. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

After 82 years of continuous production, FN Herstal announced that the production of the Hi-Power would end, and it was discontinued in early 2018 by Browning Arms. SCARCE - 1983 Smith & Wesson 547 (4"), 9mm Para, Revolver, 19D8026

Lot # 71

Smith & Wesson produced 10,270 Model 547s from 1980 to 1985; 6,486 with a 3" barrel, and 3,784 with 4" barrel. According to the Standard Catalog Of Smith & Wesson's book,...more this Model 547 was made in circa 1983. CONDITION: This revolver is nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: Writers of the day suggested that the Model 547 was developed in response to an inquiry from the French government in the late 1970s to provide a 9mm revolver for police use. One of their requirements was a revolver that could function with the rimless 9mm round without using moon clips. Roger Curran, who was the Director of Research and Development at S&W at that time, led the project. At some point, the French reconsidered and took a different path. Curran had invested a lot of time and resources in the project and drove on. After three years, the 547 was introduced to the United States commercial market. It was no easy task getting it to work right without moon clips. Curran’s team came up with some incredibly innovative ways to make the 547 function like the French had originally requested. With only a little over 10,000 Model 547s produced in the early 1980s, these revolvers have become very sought after by collectors. Lot # 89

SPRINGFIELD ARMORY INFO: The M1A Loaded 7.62mm NATO (308 Win.) rifle is available with a black composite stock that offers traditionalist lines along with serious long ra...morenge performance. At 9.3 lbs. the M1A Loaded Rifle remains portable while producing match-winning accuracy. A tuned 4.5-lb. precision trigger, along with a midline ambidextrous safety and reciprocating charging handle, make the rifle easy and intuitive to run. Custom features like match grade sights and a top-end premium barrel come standard. SPECS: Black composite stock with checkered grip panels, 22" National Match medium weight 6-groove carbon steel barrel with 1:11 twist, Match-Grade .0520 aperture rear sight with 1/2 MOA adjustment for windage & elevation, National Match .062" front blade sight with ears, 3" flash suppressor, 2-stage NM tuned trigger, sling rings with black nylon sling, black cushioned rubber buttpad, side-mounted Weaver-style scope rail, Tasco World Class 4-16x50 scope and 20-round steel magazine. This rifle comes in the original box - does not include paperwork. CONDITION: This rifle is in nice condition with very light wear, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Springfield Armory M1A was introduced in 1971, and is based on the M14 rifle. It was designed for the civilian and law enforcement markets in the United States. "M1A" is a proprietary name for Springfield Armory's M14-pattern rifle. The M14 was developed to take the place of 4 different weapons systems: the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M3 Submachine Gun, and M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR). It was thought that in this manner the M14 could simplify the logistical requirements of the troops by limiting the types of ammunition and parts needed to be supplied. It proved to be an impossible task to replace all four as the cartridge was too powerful for the submachine gun role and the weapon was too light to serve as a light machine gun replacement for the BAR. The Springfield Armory M1A is, for the most part, identical to the M1 with the exception of a full auto selector switch. Springfield Armory correctly offers four variations of the M1A rifle: Loaded Rifle, Match Rifle, Scout Squad and SOCOM Rifle. DISCLAIMER: In 2023, Illinois passed a law banning the sale and purchase of semi-automatic "assault weapons" and large-capacity ammunition feeding devices. This law defines more than 170 different models of firearms, including this one. Illinois residents may NOT participate in this lot. As an Illinois dealer, we will not do transfer paperwork on this gun. It will need to be shipped to, or picked up by, a licensed dealer. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

Of all the countries to manufacture the AK, Bulgaria has arguably put the most focus on the AK-74 variants, as well as milled receiver models where most factories moved on after refining the stamped receiver process.
