Bidding Info

Lot # 0

This is an Online Only "Timed Auction" with a "soft closing" and the only way to bid is through ProxiBid. When lot #1 goes "Live" at 10:00am CST there will be a 60 second...more time clock that will reset every time a new bid is placed, once there has been no bids for a full 60 seconds that lot will close. TWO NEW LOTS WILL GO "LIVE" EVERY 60 SECONDS, the software WILL NOT WAIT until one lot has closed before starting the 60 second time clock on the next lots. THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE LOTS SELLING AT THE SAME TIME throughout the day. The best way to participate is to leave "Max Bids" and let the software do the bidding for you. ProxiBid software executes the max bids, NOT THE AUCTION COMPANY, and will only bid for you up to your Max Bid price, if needed. For Example, if you leave a Max Bid on an item for $800 and that item only gets bid up to $400, you only pay $400. If you want to raise your "Max Bid", the software will not let you raise your current bid. This software is designed to work for you, not against you. It simply executes your bids competitively, just as if you were bidding yourself. Also note that "Live Bidding" problems can happen. For example, a slow internet connection or multiple people trying to bid at once can effect the speed at which you are viewing the auction and an item may sell before you are able to bid. So, once again, if you have not left Max Bids as a backup, you could miss out.

1873 (First Year) Colt, SAA, 44 Colt Cal., Revolver (Rebuilt W/ Case & History), SN - 29

Lot # 1

This first year Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 29, is from the personal collection of legendary gunsmith Bud Hemphill. This gun features an original fram...moree/ cylinder and was completely rebuilt by Mr. Hemphill in 2015. The 44 Colt bullets that come with this gun were specially made, by Bud, for this gun. (They are cut-down 44 Rem. Mag. Bullets - now straight 44 cal.) Another interesting feature of this gun is that Colt only made 200 SAA's the first year of production and the first 100 guns sported a "drop barrel" and a "pinch frame rear sight", which this gun also sports. This gun is in working order, Bud has fired it several times, but the cylinder does not always index properly and it is not advisable to shoot. Bud has written down the full history of this gun including everything that he has done to it - Please See Photos for Bud's full story & description. This gun comes with wooden display box, made by Bud, and all of Bud's signed documentation and photos. Bud Hemphill, now 92 years old, has been customizing and professionally refurbishing firearms for over 75 years. His clients over the past three quarters of a century reads as a "who's-who" list among high grade collectors throughout the world. Bud says that he has never let a gun leave his shop unless it was exactly what the client wanted or was in as close to original condition as possible. This is Bud's last remaining gun in his personal collection and after much thought and deliberation with his family, he has decided to let someone else enjoy this amazing piece of history. This gun features a 7.5" barrel and is in perfect working order. The Colt Single Action Army was designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company—today's Colt's Manufacturing Company—and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892. The Colt SAA has been offered in over 30 different calibers and various barrel lengths. Its overall appearance has remained consistent since 1873. Colt has cancelled its production twice, but brought it back due to popular demand. First Generation SAA's were made from 1873–1941, Second Generation SAA's were made from 1956–1974 & Third Generation SAA's 1976 to present. These revolver's were popular with ranchers, lawmen, and outlaws alike and have become true piece of American History.

WWII U.S. General Motors, Model FP-45 Liberator, 45 ACP Cal., Single-Shot Pistol

Lot # 3

The FP-45 Liberator is a pistol manufactured by the United States military during World War II for use by resistance forces in occupied territories. The concept was sugge...morested by a Polish military attache' in March 1942. The project was assigned to the US Army Joint Psychological Warfare Committee and was designed for the United States Army two months later by George Hyde of the Inland Manufacturing Division of the General Motors Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. Production was undertaken by General Motors Guide Lamp Division to avoid conflicting priorities with Inland Division production of the M1 carbine. The army designated the weapon the Flare Projector Caliber .45 hence the designation FP-45. This was done to disguise the fact that a pistol was being mass-produced. The original engineering drawings labeled the barrel as "tube", the trigger as "yoke", the firing pin as "control rod", and the trigger guard as "spanner". The Liberator project took about six months from conception to the end of production with about 11 weeks of actual manufacturing time, done by 300 workers. The FP-45 was a crude, single-shot pistol designed to be cheaply and quickly mass-produced. It had just 23 largely stamped and turned steel parts that were cheap and easy to manufacture. It fired the .45 ACP pistol cartridge from an unrifled barrel. Due to this limitation, it was intended for short range use, 1–4 yards. Its maximum effective range was only about 25 feet. At longer range, the bullet would begin to tumble and stray off course. Ten rounds of ammunition could be stored in the pistol grip. This FP-45 appears all original and to be in good working order.

1879 Colt, U.S. Artillery SAA, 45 Long Colt Cal., Revolver, SN - 49316

Lot # 5

The Colt Single Action Army was designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt's Patent Firearms Manufacturing Company—today's Colt's Manufactur...moreing Company—and was adopted as the standard military service revolver until 1892. The Colt SAA has been offered in over 30 different calibers and various barrel lengths. Its overall appearance has remained consistent since 1873. The Colt SAA "Artillery Model" featured a 5.5" barrel. The name "Artillery" is actually a misnomer, which may have originated because the U.S. Light Artillery happened to have the first units armed with the revolver. The Artillery Single Actions were issued to the Infantry, the Light Artillery, the Volunteer Cavalry and other troops because the standard-issue .38 caliber Colt M 1892 double-action revolver was lacking in stopping power. This "U.S." marked Colt SAA Artillery revolver was made in 1879 and features a 5.5" barrel, smooth wood grips and 6-shot cylinder. This gun is showing age & wear, but still retains a excellent sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order.

2008 Browning, T-Bolt, 17 HMR Cal., Bolt-Action (W/ Box & Leupold Scope), SN - 03598MP253

Lot # 10

The Browning T-Bolt is one of the most accurate, handy and easy-to-shoot rimfires ever produced. The original T-Bolt was introduced in 1965 and went out of production in ...more1974. Today’s T-Bolt rifle is every bit the equal of the original, with new features that put this unique rifle in a class by itself. Yes, it still has the quick straight pull design. Yes, it has amazing accuracy. Yes, it is a true Browning in every way. Today's T-Bolt has even more than the original. The straight "T" bolt design lets you load and eject with a simple pull back and push forward. This system is unequaled among rimfires for raw bolt action speed. When you use the classic straight-pull bolt-action design to chamber each cartridge they are fed from the new 10-round rotary Double Helix box magazine. No magazine is like the Double Helix. And no magazine is easier to load and more reliable at feeding. T-Bolt rifle stocks are full-size with a satin finish and cut checkering on solid walnut with a fluted comb. The receiver is machined from steel bar stock and features a classic crossbolt lockup, with an enlarged bolt handle pivot point moved forward for smoother action. The mainspring runs directly through the massive pivot pin. Cocking effort is split between opening and closing for ease of operation. It also has a one-piece dual extractor with integral spring and red cocking indicator band. The new T-Bolt features a lightweight gold-tone trigger, black trigger guard and housing. The three-lever trigger design combined with a short-travel firing pin gives a crisp break, quick lock time, no take-up and minimal overtravel. It is also externally adjustable for pull weight. The 22" barrel is free-floating with a high luster blued finish. This one owner gun has two small scuffs on the stock but otherwise is in same-as-new condition, comes with box & paperwork and sells complete with Leupold VX-1 4-12x40 scope.

1981 Browning, BSS, 20 Ga., Side-By-Side, SN - 04324PZ168

Lot # 12

Browning produced the BSS side-by-side shotgun from 1971 to 1987, beginning with 12-gauges in 1971 and followed by 20-gauges starting in 1972. The BSS was a boxlock side-...moreby-side, though Browning did introduce a sidelock version in 1983. The BSS was something of a hybrid in terms of manufacturing. While it was produced and assembled via more modern production methods, the engraving on the receiver and the fitting of the action were all still done by hand. This BSS was made in 1981 and features a engraved receiver, gold plated trigger, checkered walnut English stock with beavertail forearm, 28" FULL - IMP CYL barrels, serrated rib with silver bead front sight, Pachmayr black rubber buttpad, 14.5" LOP and is chambered for 2 3/4" or 3" shells. 1988 RARE PROTOTYPE - Browning, A-Bolt Grade II, 22 Win. Mag. Cal., Bolt-Action, SN - A70HH1055

Lot # 14

The Browning A-Bolt 22 was manufactured in two versions, Grade I (1986-1996) and Grade II (1988-1996). The serial number on this gun does not match any factory records. ...moreWe contacted Browning directly about this odd serial number and it is their opinion that it is a one-of-a-kind Prototype built in or prior to 1988 for factory testing. The serial number breakdown is - A70 = Grade/ Caliber, HH = Date Manufactured and 1055 = Serial Number. According to the Browning rep that we spoke to, A70 was never used as a grade code (other than a possible prototype), HH is not a date code ever used by Browning (which means a factory worker simply stamped HH as a "Mock Code") and 1055 was randomly selected to fill the 4-digit SN space. It is unknown how this gun left the factory. It could have been given to a factory worker after testing, which is how it found it's way to the general public. This gun features a checkered walnut stock with rosewood forearm cap and high gloss finish, 22" barrel with high luster polished bluing and muzzle crown, aluminum trigger guard with gold Buck Mark inlay, flip-up v-notch adjustable rear sight, gold plated trigger, black hard rubber buttpad, sling studs and sells complete with Tasco 4x32 scope. 1977 Colt, Police Positive Special, 38 Special Cal., Revolver (New-In-Box), SN - 57103M

Lot # 17

The Colt Police Positive Special is a small frame, double-action revolver with a six round cylinder, primarily chambered for .38 Special. The Police Positive Special was ...moreintended primarily for sale to law enforcement agencies. It was an iterative improvement of Colt's earlier Police Positive model, the only differences being a slightly lengthened cylinder and elongated and strengthened frame to allow the chambering of the longer, more powerful .32-20 Winchester and .38 Special cartridges. Produced with fine carbon steel, the Positive Special featured Colt’s characteristic highly polished surfaces with Colt's signature bright royal blued finish. Built on Colt’s "D" frame, it was offered in four, five, and six inch barreled models, weighing a scant 23 ounces in the four inch. The Positive Special also incorporated Colt’s "Positive Lock" safety which prevented the firing pin from hitting the primer unless the trigger was deliberately pulled. Intended to address deficiencies of earlier models such as the Single Action Army, Colt's Positive Lock prevented an accidental discharge even if the lowered hammer was struck or the pistol was dropped, allowing the revolver to be safely carried with all six chambers loaded. This 1977 Colt Police Positive Special with 4" barrel is new/ unfired in original box with paperwork.

1937 Winchester Pre-64, Model 52, 22 LR Cal., Bolt-Action, SN - 45499B

Lot # 18

The Winchester Model 52 was a bolt-action .22-caliber target rifle made from 1920 to 1980. For many years it was the premier smallbore match rifle in the United States, i...moref not the world. 1974 Colt, Detective Special 2" Snubnose, 38 Special Cal., Revolver, SN - F26631

Lot # 21

The Colt Detective Special is a six-shot, carbon steel framed, 2" or 3" barreled, double-action revolver, and the first example of a class of firearms known as "snubnose ...morerevolvers". John Henry Fitzgerald, an employee of Colt Firearms from 1918 to 1944, first came up the Fitz Special snubnosed revolver concept around the mid 1920s. Colt was so impressed with the Fitz Special that they decided to produce a sightly less radical version, the Detective Special, which is simply a shortened and somewhat streamlined Colt Police Positive Special. The Detective Special proved to be an instant success and was made until 1995. Colt's Detective Special went through several issues or series - First Series: 1927–1946, Second Series: 1947–1972, Third Series: 1973–1986, Fourth Series: 1993–1995. This Colt Detective Special was made in 1974 and features a polished nickel finish, checkered wood grips and 2" barrel. This gun is in nice condition with a few light scratches, has a sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order.

1997 Winchester, Model 52B Sporting, 22 LR Cal., Bolt-Action (Box & Leupold Scope), SN - 10NR802250

Lot # 22

The original Winchester Model 52 was a bolt-action .22-caliber target rifle made from 1920 to 1980. For many years it was the premier smallbore match rifle in the United ...moreStates, if not the world. Known as the "King of the .22s," the Model 52 has been called by Field & Stream one of "the 50 best guns ever made" and by Winchester historian Herbert Houze "perfection in design." The Model 52 went through many alterations over its sixty years. Around 1931 Major John W. Hessian, a friend of new Winchester president John M. Olin, had a private gunsmith remount his Model 52 in a custom lightweight "sporting" stock. Olin was so impressed that he ordered the development of a 52 Sporter as a production model, which made its debut in 1934. The Sporter was in all respects a deluxe rifle. While Winchester already had a reputation as the Cadillac of American arms manufacturers, the 52 Sporter was produced with a degree of fit and finish appropriate to a custom gunsmith's shop. In the mid 1990s the Herstal Group, licensed to use the Winchester trademark by the Olin Corporation, marketed approximately 2,500 "re-issued" Model 52 Sporting rifles in two different barrel weights. These "reissued" 52's were sold under both the Winchester and Browning brands. This re-issued Model 52B Sporter was made in 1997 and features a diamond checkered Monte Carlo walnut stock with black forearm cap and grip knob, 24" barrel with high luster bluing, checkered metal buttplate, integral sling studs and sells complete with Leupold 4x RF Special Scope. This one-owner gun comes in original box with manual and is in nice condition with some buttplate wear, has a sharp clean bore and is in perfect working order.

1980 Browning Belgium, Hi-Power, 9mm Luger Cal., Semi-Auto, SN - 245PM56727

Lot # 23

The Browning Hi-Power is a single-action, semi-automatic handgun that was based on a design by John Browning, made from 1935-2018 (introduced to the U.S. market in 1954)....more Browning died in 1926, several years before the design was finalized. FN Herstal Belgium initially named the design the "High Power", which alludes to the 13-round magazine capacity, almost twice that of other designs at the time, such as the Luger or Colt M1911. The Hi-Power is one of the most widely used military pistols in history, having been used by the armed forces of over 50 countries. After 82 years of continuous production, FN Herstal announced that the production of the Hi-Power would end, and it was discontinued in early 2018 by Browning Arms. Although new Belgian Hi-Powers are no longer being built, clones are still being built in several countries around the world, including India and Turkey. This Browning Hi-Power was made in 1980 and features a high luster polished blue finish, checkered walnut grips, 4.75" barrel and 13-round magazine. This gun is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and is in same-as-new working order.

2001 Winchester, Model 9410 Traditional, 410 Ga., Lever-Action (New-In-Box), SN - SG09299

Lot # 24

The Winchester 9410 is closely modeled after the Winchester 1894 rifle, with a few necessary differences. Slender, slick and a natural pointer, the 9410 acts a lot like i...morets ancestor. It’s pure joy to handle and shoot. A couple of the major differences are a specially-designed extractor/ejector for controlled ejection of .410 hulls. Like the original, its sights are open for speed. An adjustable elevator semi-buckhorn “V” rear sight is mounted on the barrel just forward of the receiver. Unlike the original, the front sight is a TruGlo fiber optic tube. The sights are easy to acquire and therefore fast and effective. The action is designed to eject .410 hulls to the right side, so as not to interfere with a mounted scope. The Model 9410 was dis-continued in 2006. This gun was made in 2001 and features a dark walnut stock with deep checkering and oiled finish, side mounted safety, serrated hammer, 24" barrel chambered for 2 1/2" shells, black rubber recoil pad and 13.75" LOP. This gun is new-in-box.
