ONLINE-ONLY BIDDING INFO

Lot # 0

This is an Online Only "Timed Auction" with a "soft closing" and the only way to bid is through ProxiBid. When lot #1 goes "Live" at 10:00am CST there will be a 60 second...more time clock that will reset every time a new bid is placed, once there has been no bids for a full 60 seconds that lot will close. TWO NEW LOTS WILL GO "LIVE" EVERY 60 SECONDS, the software WILL NOT WAIT until one lot has closed before starting the 60 second time clock on the next lots. THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE LOTS SELLING AT THE SAME TIME throughout the day. The best way to participate is to leave "Max Bids" and let the software do the bidding for you. ProxiBid software executes the max bids, NOT THE AUCTION COMPANY, and will only bid for you up to your Max Bid price, if needed. For Example, if you leave a Max Bid on an item for $800 and that item only gets bid up to $400, you only pay $400. If you want to raise your "Max Bid", the software will not let you raise your current bid. This software is designed to work for you, not against you. It simply executes your bids competitively, just as if you were bidding yourself. Also note that "Live Bidding" problems can happen. For example, a slow internet connection or multiple people trying to bid at once can affect the speed at which you are viewing the auction and an item may sell before you are able to bid. So, once again, if you have not left Max Bids as a backup, you could miss out.

1888 Winchester, Model 1885 High Wall Target (26" Barrel), 22 Hornet, Falling Block, SN - 22948

Lot # 11

With the introduction of the Model 1885, the world of single shots was given a welcomed addition. In 1885 competitive target shooting in America had the stature of profes...moresional golf, or even major league football has today. Huge matches were held at places like Creedmoor, New York. Spectators would number in the thousands. The 1885 was uniquely suited to the long-range accuracy shooting of the day. The Model 1885 was the first and perhaps one of the greatest of all the John Moses Browning designs. It was conceived of and created by Browning in the frontier pioneer town of Ogden, Utah, in 1878. Not only was it the first he produced, but it was the gun that started his relationship with the Winchester Repeating Arms company. The partnership began in 1885 and the Single Shot became the Model 1885 Winchester. The Model 1885 was made in two models: Low Wall which showed an exposed hammer firing less powerful cartridges & High Wall for stronger cartridges whose steel frame covered most of the firing hammer when viewed from the side. This Winchester Model 1885 High Wall was made in 1888 and was originally chambered for 32-40 Winchester. It was then rechambered to 22 Hornet in 1939 (barrel stamped "J39") for competition shooting. All updated "target style" furniture is believed to have also been done in 1939. Features of this rifle include a checkered walnut stock with detachable comb, flat forearm with contoured grips, gold double-headed eagle motif (32 degree Scottish Rite Freemasonry) inlay under forearm, ivory grip cap, ivory forearm tip, ivory forearm washer, blued receiver, checkered metal buttplate, 26" heavy octagon barrel, scope bases, ramped front dovetail and sling rings. This gun is showing various light wear on a very nice/ early refurbish (circa 1939), has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1995 IMI Israel Magnum Research, Desert Eagle, 50AE, Semi-Auto (W/ Box), SN - 88309

Lot # 14

After 25 years of being accessorized, customized and re-imagined in countless movies, television shows and video games, the Desert Eagle Pistol has emerged as a pop-cultu...morere icon. Magnum Research Inc. (MRI) designed and developed the Desert Eagle in the early 1980s. The design was further refined by (and was also manufactured by) Israel Military Industries (IMI), until 1995, when MRI shifted the manufacturing contract to the U.S.. The Desert Eagle, also known as "Deagle", is a gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol known for chambering the most powerful handgun cartridges available and are easily convertible. Switching a Desert Eagle to another chambering requires only that the correct barrel, bolt assembly, and magazine be installed. Thus, a conversion to fire other cartridges can be quickly accomplished. The Desert Eagle uses a gas-operated ejection/chambering mechanism normally found in rifles, as opposed to the short recoil or blowback designs most commonly seen in semi-automatic pistols. The advantage of the gas operation is that it allows the use of far more powerful cartridges than traditional semi-automatic pistol designs. Thus it allows the Desert Eagle to compete in an area that had previously been dominated by Magnum revolvers. The Desert Eagle has been featured in more than six hundred films, to include: The Matrix, Eraser, Red Heat, Last Action Hero, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, Assassins, The Last Boy Scout, Double Impact, and Austin Powers. This Magnum Research Desert Eagle was made in Israel by IMI in 1995 and features a 6.25" barrel with integrated rail, black textured rubber wrap-around grip, serrated slide, ambidextrous safety, dovetail sights, and 7-round 50AE magazine. This gun is in nice condition with a couple of light scratches, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore, appears to be in good working order and comes with box & paperwork. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

(Rare) 1880 Sharps-Borchardt , M1878 "Business Rifle", 45-75 Govt., Falling Block, SN - 18370

Lot # 15

Sharps rifles are a series of large-bore, single-shot, falling-block, breech-loading rifles, beginning with a design by Christian Sharps in 1848 and ceasing production in...more 1881. They were renowned for long-range accuracy. By 1874, the rifle was available in a variety of calibers, and it was one of the few designs to successfully be adapted to metallic cartridge use. The Sharps rifles became icons of the American Old West with their appearances in many Western-genre films and books. The Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 is a single-shot hammerless falling-block action rifle designed by Hugo Borchardt and made by the Sharps Rifle Manufacturing Company. It closely resembles older Sharps Rifles but has a firing mechanism that uses a hammerless striker rather than a hammer and firing pin like the old Sharps Rifle. This hammerless dropping-block breech-loader was based on a patent granted to Hugo Borchardt in 1877. It was the last of the Sharps single-shot rifles, and according to company records a total of 22,500 Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 rifles were produced and only 89 "1878 Business" Rifles from 1877 until the Sharps Rifle Co. closed down in 1881. The Sharps-Borchardt is admired for its strength and accuracy: reputed to be one of the strongest if not the strongest rifle action ever built before the latter 20th century. The gun was revolutionary at its time for its use of coil springs as opposed to flat springs. These guns were popular among long-range shooters and Creedmore Match competitors. Surviving guns are highly prized by collectors, especially unmodified examples chambered for heavy .45 and .50-caliber Sharps big-game cartridges. This Circa 1880 Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 45-75 Govt. is barrel marked: "Old Reliable" "SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT. CONN" "BUSINESS 45" & receiver marked: "SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT. CONN U.S.A." "18370" "PAT. DEC. 1876". Features include a checkered walnut stock with dark swirl grain/ contoured pistol grip & Schnabel forearm, 28" heavy round barrel, set-trigger, rear sight dovetail with insert, dovetailed front globe sight, flip-up adjustable rear tang peep sight and metal buttplate. This gun has an excellent sharp/ clean bore, hairline crack on grip (still very solid) and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1995 IMI Israel Magnum Research, Desert Eagle, 44 Mag., Semi-Auto, SN - 97956

Lot # 18

After 25 years of being accessorized, customized and re-imagined in countless movies, television shows and video games, the Desert Eagle Pistol has emerged as a pop-cultu...morere icon. Magnum Research Inc. (MRI) designed and developed the Desert Eagle in the early 1980s. The design was further refined by (and was also manufactured by) Israel Military Industries (IMI), until 1995, when MRI shifted the manufacturing contract to the U.S.. The Desert Eagle also known as "Deagle", is a gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol known for chambering the most powerful handgun cartridges available, and are easily convertible. This Magnum Research Desert Eagle was made in Israel by IMI in 1995 and features a 6.25" barrel, black textured rubber wrap-around grip, serrated slide, ambidextrous safety, dovetail sights, and 8-round 44 Magnum magazine. This gun is in nice condition with a couple of light scratches, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1916 Winchester, Model 1885 High Wall, 50 Express (.50-110 Win.), Falling Block, SN - 117029

Lot # 19

This Winchester Model 1885 High Wall was made in 1916 and is chambered for 50-110 Winchester (also known as the 50 Express). This cartridge was first introduced in 1887, and used the same nomenclature as similar cartridges of the day and fired a 300gr, .50 caliber bullet on top of 110 grains of black powder. The original black powder load propelled the cast lead bullet at about 1,600fps (1,720 foot pounds of energy), which was one of the most powerful loads available at the time. Winchester later released a high velocity 300gr load using smokeless powder (2,245fps and 3,300 foot pounds of energy). Features of this rifle include a smooth walnut stock with high comb, case hardened receiver, metal crescent buttplate, 30" heavy octagon barrel, adjustable flip-up rear tang peep sight, dovetailed v-notch rear sight and adjustable dovetailed front globe sight. This gun has been very nicely refurbished with bright bluing & protective finish, has a nice sharp bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1916 WWI German DWM, LP.08 Artillery Luger, 9mm Luger, Semi-Auto (Numbers Matching), SN - 9781

Lot # 24

In 1908, the German Army adopted the Model P.08 Luger to replace the Reich's revolver in front-line service. The P.08 Luger is well known for its use by Germany and other...more axis powers during World War I and World War II, along with the interwar Weimar Republic and the postwar East German Volkspolizei. The Luger is a toggle-lock action semi-automatic pistol that uses a jointed arm to lock, as opposed to the slide actions of many other semi-automatic pistols, such as the M1911. The adoption of the Lange Pistole 08 or LP 08, known as the "Artillery Luger", was authorized by the Kaiser on July 2nd, 1913. This P08 variation was equipped with a 7.9" barrel, an 8-position tangent rear sight (calibrated to 870 yds) and a board-type shoulder stock with an attached leather holster. In the event of close combat, the pistol was intended to be used as a carbine with the shoulder stock attached to a lug mounted on the heel of the pistol frame. When set for long range use, the rear sight element visibly moves to the left to compensate for spin drift. While initially intended for use by German artillery units who could not be encumbered by the long and heavy K.98 rifle, the LP 08 was also used by Aviation units (prior to equipping aircraft with machine guns) as well as the infantry, primarily on the Western front during World War I. Production of the LP 08 ended in 1918 with the end of the WWI. By that time, German troops had begun using the newly developed MP 18 submachine gun in place of the LP 08 for their stormtrooper assault companies. This LP 08 Artillery Luger was made by the German arms manufacturer Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) in 1916 and features a 7.9" barrel, checkered walnut grips and appears to be all "numbers matching" with the exception of the magazine (wood bottom magazine marked "544 d" is period correct.) This gun is showing some wear, to include surface pitting at the muzzle, but overall is in good condition with light battle wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. This gun does not include the original shoulder stock/ holster, but there will be a nice modern reproduction stock/ holster selling later in this auction.

The pistol served as the standard-issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985 and is widely regarded by gun historians as the best firearm design to date. WWII German FN Browning, High Power (Pistole 640b), 9mm Luger, SN - 196382

Lot # 28

Relatively few weapons were used by both Allied and Axis forces in World War Two. However, one handgun was virtually unique in that it was used by British and German forc...morees who faced each other in combat – the Browning High Power pistol. The version originally sold by Fabrique Nationale Herstal (FN) from 1935 was identified as the “High Power.“ In 1954, the pistol was marketed through the Browning Arms Company (BAC) in the US, a subsidiary of FN. At that point, it became the “Hi-Power” to distinguish it from the High-Power hunting rifle also sold by BAC. The original design work on what would become the High Power pistol was started in the early 1920s in response to a French military requirement for a Grande Puissance (High Power) sidearm. This didn’t refer to the shooting power of the pistol, but to a requirement for a magazine which held at least ten rounds of 9mm ammunition – more than any contemporary semi-automatic service pistol. In response to the French requirement and on behalf of FN, John Browning produced and designed this full-size military sidearm with a locked-breech recoil system and a double column, sixteen-round magazine. By the early 1930s, he had produced a revised design for a single-action pistol with a double-stack magazine holding up to thirteen 9mm Parabellum rounds and featuring a complex trigger mechanism which extended up into the area of the slide in an attempt to keep the grip as slim as possible. The design was completed in 1935 and FN released it as the FN Model 1935. Around 35,000 High Power pistols were manufactured in Belgium up to 1939 and were largely used by Britain/ France, although Belgium was officially neutral in WWII. On May 10th, 1940, German forces invaded Belgium and the FN plant was captured virtually intact. At this time, FN Herstal continued to build guns for the Allied forces by moving their production line to a John Inglis and Company plant in Canada. In Belgium, the Nazis installed managers and technicians from Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken (DWM), at FN Herstal, and used this as a production facility for ammunition and weapons, including the High Power pistol, re-designated the “Pistole 640(b)". Detailed records are very difficult to find, but it seems that the German 640(b) "High Power" was not issued to troops in the Wehrmacht (German Army), though it was provided to units of the Waffen-SS, the Brandenburg special forces battalion, and to combat units of the Luftwaffe including Fallschirmjäger (paratroopers). German adoption of the High Power was partly down to the fact that this pistol used the same cartridge as the two other main German service pistols of the period: the Luger and the Walther P-38. This Belgium FN Browning High Power (640b) is Nazi marked and features a 4.64" barrel, checkered walnut grips, serrated slide, round serrated hammer, dovetailed rear sight and 13-round magazine. This gun is in good condition with light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

Winchester, Model 1885 Low Wall, 22 LR, Falling Block, SN - 0000EF0755

Lot # 51

The partnership began in 1885, and the Single Shot became the Model 1885 Winchester. The Winchester re-creation of the iconic M1885 has all of the same attributes as the original, but with modern advancements. This Model 1885 Low Wall features an oiled walnut stock with checkered forearm & Schnabel tip, metal crescent buttplate, 24" octagon/ round barrel, Burris scope mounts with rings, rear dovetail sight insert, dovetailed front bead sight and sling studs. 1980's Valmet - Finland, 412ST Premium Deluxe Trap, 12 Ga., Over/ Under, SN - 282888

Lot # 63

The Valmet firm, established in 1926 in the town of Jyvaskla in Finland, was made world famous for the 412-shooting system. The Valmet Model 412 was a nicely made Europea...moren combination gun that earned a good reputation for itself, primarily in Europe and Britain. Its design was very much like the Remington 32 (i.e. 3200) and was built to provide a shooting system based around an over/under double shotgun style barrel break action with the option to buy shotgun, rifle/shotgun combination, and/or double rifle barrel sets for it. The Valmet Model 421 used a monobloc system for barrel attachment, and featured a single trigger. The safety catch was automatic and the trigger system was mechanical, so it did not depend on recoil to reset the trigger to enable the second shot. So if a first shot failed to discharge for some reason the second one would fire when the trigger was released and depressed the second time. Valmet made many versions of the 412 until they were discontinued (Valmet was bought by Tikka) in 1987. The top of the line being their 412ST (Special Trap) models. This Model 412ST features a brushed nickel receiver, checkered walnut contoured stock with high fluted comb/ palm swell grip & gloss finish, gold trigger, black Pachmayr vented rubber buttpad with white/ black spacers, 32" ported 12 gauge barrels with F/ IM choke tubes, serrated vent-rib with silver mid bead sight & orange fiber-optic front bead sight, ejectors, tang safety/ barrel selector, 2 3/4" chamber and 14.5" LOP. 1970's Savage/ Valmet - Finland, 333-T, 12 Ga., Over/ Under, SN - 606269V

Lot # 71

The Savage Model 333-T is a Valmet Model 412, made by Valmet for Savage from 1972 to 1981. The Valmet firm, established in 1926 in the town of Jyvaskla in Finland, was ma...morede world famous for the 412-shooting system. The Valmet Model 412 was a nicely made European combination gun that earned a good reputation for itself, primarily in Europe and Britain. This Savage/ Valmet 333-T features a blued receiver, checkered walnut contoured stock with high fluted comb and oiled finish, black vented rubber buttpad with white spacer, 30" 12 gauge F/IM barrels with serrated vent-rib & dual bead sights, extractor, tang safety/ barrel selector, 2 3/4" chamber and 14.5" LOP. This gun is in nice condition with some light wear, has a nice/ tight action and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

(RARE) 1984 Randall, (1 Of 2083) A131 Service, 45 ACP, Semi-Auto (W/ COA & Paperwork), SN - RF09120W

Lot # 72

This Randall A131 Service Pistol comes with a Factory Letter Of Authenticity, which reads: "The above Randall A131 right-hand Service Model .45 ACP Pistol was one of only...more 2083 pieces to be manufactured. It was produced in the last week of A131 production in October of 1984. This Randall A131 was shipped from the factory with a 10 groove .45 ACP barrel, long trigger, beavertail grip safety, and an extended slide stop. The extended safety lock was standard equipment on all Randall model A131 pistols. The adjustable rear sight is a Model 100 "Gold Cup Type" and were manufactured and supplied by the Millett sight company. This A131 was one of the very last Randall Pistols made. The "W" designation at the end of the serial number is also very rare. This was a vendor symbol for Ward Mfg. Less than 300-350 pistols are thought to have this "W" designation. A rare piece coupled with late Randall history! Sincerely, Rick 'KK' Kennerknecht (signed), Randall Historian." ... Randall pistols were manufactured from only June 7, 1983 to May 15, 1985. They ushered in an entirely new era for handguns, thus carving for themselves a place in the history of firearms around the world. This historic niche, coupled with the fact that Randall pistols are exemplary specimens of their genre, has made every single one of the 9,968 Randall pistols eminently collectible. Enhancing the collectability of Randalls is the fact that, in all, there were 24 different models with 12 variations in three different calibers. This means there were never very many of any one style made. The Randall story began with a small company called KEN-AIR, Inc., which had been in the aircraft instrument repair business in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County since the mid-1950s. Then, in 1981 the company entered into a diversification program which ultimately led to the Randall pistol. The “KEN” in KEN-AIR stands for Ken Lau founder and chairman of the company. Lau and World War II Air Force hero, Brigadier General Russell Randall, met while working together as advisors to China Airlines. In 1981, Lau and his KEN-AIR company received a contract from the government of South Korea to build .45ACP handguns. By the time production facilities at the Sun Valley, California, manufacturing plant were established, the Korean government changed its mind and canceled the contract. This left Lau’s firm with the facilities to produce Model 1911 handguns but no customer. By then, Lau had done a lot more than just set up another firearms production line. He had relied upon his long experience in manufacture of parts for the aerospace industry when formulating exactly how the line would operate, and even used his knowledge of materials seen in the aerospace business as a basis for a series of momentous decisions which helped make the Randall pistol so unique. In addition to the manufacturing hardware and engineering, Lau also assembled an unparalleled team of management experts from throughout the firearms industry, insisting that everyone who was going to make decisions had held responsible posts at other companies like Colt, Smith & Wesson, Remington, Winchester, Vega, Detonics and Thomas. Working under one roof in a suburb of Los Angeles was a hand-picked cadre of experts, ready to blaze revolutionary new trails through firearms history. This Randall A131 Service Model features a brushed stainless frame/ slide, 5" stainless barrel with 10-groove rifling, fully adjustable Millett rear sight pinned to the channel, checkered walnut grips, adjustable stainless trigger, serrated hammer, serrated rear strap and beavertail safety grip. This gun comes with COA, paperwork, Randall patch and (4) Randall 7-round steel magazines. This gun is in beautiful condition with a couple very light scratches, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1953 International Harvester, M1 Garand "Gap Letter", 30-06 Sprg., Semi-Auto, SN - 4642765

Lot # 77

At the conclusion of World War II, the M1 Garand had garnered a well-deserved reputation as the best standardized service rifle of the conflict. Large numbers of Garands ...morewere in inventory after Victory over Japan Day, and it was assumed they were sufficient to meet the needs of U.S. armed forces for the foreseeable future. Five years later, though, this illusion was shattered when hostilities commenced on the Korean Peninsula. To augment the supply of existing rifles, the U.S. Ordnance Dept. elected to put the M1 rifle back into production. Springfield Armory ramped up its Garand production line as quickly as possible, but additional sources were needed. As was often the case in previous wars, the government turned to civilian firms for production of all manner of military items, including firearms. On June 15, 1951, the Ordnance Dept. granted a contract for 100,000 M1 rifles to the International Harvester Co (IHC). The rifles were to be manufactured at the firm’s Evansville, Ind., plant with deliveries scheduled to begin in December, 1952. The Evansville facility was built during World War II by the Republic Aviation Corp. for production of the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter. The serial number ranges assigned to IHC for M1 rifle production were: 4,400,000–4,660,000 and 5,000,501–5,278,245. As production began, IHC found that one of the most challenging M1 components to manufacture was the barrel. IHC ultimately decided to subcontract barrel production to the Line Material Corp. The barrels were marked “LMR” on the right side and were stamped with the drawing number, month and year of production, heat lot identification, “P” (proof) and “M” (magnetic particle inspection). IHC produced the M1 Garand until 1956. Although IHC made most of the receivers used in its M1 rifles, the firm did acquire a number of receivers from Springfield Armory. Approximately 2200 Springfield Armory receivers were used on IHC M1 Garands. These guns are known as the “Gap Letter” variety, which refers to the space between "U.S." & "RIFLE" and between "CAL." & ".30M1." This International Harvester "Gap Letter" M1 Garand was made in 1953 and sports proof marks/ stamps to include - "LMR 5-53" barrel with "P" proof, correct 1953 serial number "4642765", "P" proofed stock and boxed Eagle & Stars Defense Acceptance stock stamp. This gun also sports British/ U.S. Export/ Import stamps on the barrel above the gas cylinder. This gun comes with period correct green canvas sling, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

Lot # 78

The Browning Hi-Power Pistol was introduced in 1935 based on a design by John Browning, and completed by Dieudonné Saive at Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal, Belgium. T...morehe pistol is often referred to as an HP or BHP and the terms P-35 and HP-35 are also used, based on the introduction of the pistol in 1935. During WWII production was moved to Canada, as the Germans occupied Belgium, and this is where the name was changed to "Hi Power". The name change was kept even after production returned to Belgium after the war. The Hi-Power is one of the most widely used military pistols in history, having been used by the armed forces of over 50 countries. Browning P35 Hi-Powers were first imported into the US in 1954. However, in 2022, presumably to compete with the sudden surge in Hi-Power popularity, FN announced they would resume production of the Browning Hi-Power. It was made in several variants throughout the years, to include the GP Competition, which was imported to the U.S. in the early 1980s and featured a refined trigger, adjustable sights, as well as a barrel mounted counterweight. This Browning P35 Hi-Power GP Competition Pistol was made in Belgium in 1980 and features a 6" stainless treaded barrel with counterweight, black Pachmayr wrap-around checkered rubber grips, adjustable rear sight, single action trigger, serrated spur hammer and 15+1 capacity. Most of the early improvements to the accuracy of the M1 were developed from field experience and carried out by Marine armorers on selected weapons. The Ordnance Dept. began studies by the Spring of 1948 to improve accuracy in the M1 rifle as an eventual replacement for the 1903 Springfield in the National Matches. In March, 1953, the Ordnance Dept. was directed by the Chief of Ordnance to furnish 800 U.S. M1 rifles for use in the National Matches. A meeting at Springfield Armory in September, 1956, resulted in the funding of an engineering program to improve the M1 National Match rifle. Improvements and changes were implemented by an evolutionary process from 1954 thru 1963, until the M1 was replaced by the M14. The majority of the rifles were selected from new production lots in the 1950s and serial numbers of earlier specimens will reflect that. After 1959, many of the earlier weapons were rebuilt, always with a new barrel, and some used receivers were selected. This accounts for low number NM rifles, but with barrels dated later than about 1959 and marked "NM". This M1 Garand National Match (NM) rifle was assembled by Springfield Armory in 1963. The serial number, "6096560" indicates the receiver was manufactured by Springfield Armory in 1957. The right side of the barrel chamber is stamped with the five-pointed star & "PM". The barrel is dated "2-63". This rifle sports distinctive National Match Rifle marking, to include: rear sight base marked "NM" on the right side, "NM" marked windage knob, "6528287-SA" operating rod marked "NM" on the handle, barrel stamped "NM" on the left side between the gas cylinder rings, "NM 062" front sight, the left side of the stock is stamped with the boxed "Eagle/Star" National Defense final inspection mark along with "P" proof under the grip. The 1962 and 1963 production M1 NM rifles were the final version of the M1 NM rifle and incorporated the most advanced components and accuracy enhancements. Original, unaltered, examples of the high quality 1963 M1 NM rifle are scarce. This gun is in excellent condition with a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. 1975 Browning, P35 Hi-Power Mark I, 9mm Luger, Semi-Auto, SN - 75C63030

Lot # 86

After 82 years of continuous production, FN Herstal announced that the production of the Hi-Power would end, and it was discontinued in early 2018 by Browning Arms. However, in 2022, presumably to compete with the sudden surge in Hi-Power popularity, FN announced they would resume production of the Browning Hi-Power. This Browning P35 Hi-Power Mark I Pistol was made in Belgium in 1975 and features a 4.7" stainless barrel, two-piece checkered walnut grips, dovetailed rear sight, single action trigger, serrated spur hammer and 15+1 capacity. This gun has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1919 U.S. RIA, Model 1903, 30-06 Sprg., Bolt-Action, SN - 338084

Lot # 91

Few arms have served the U.S. military as long or as well as the famed "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903." For generations of American servicemen and arms enthusiasts,...more the M1903 has gained an enviable reputation as one of the best bolt-action military rifles of all time. The M1903 was manufactured by Springfield Armory at varying levels of production from 1903 until the late 1930s and at Rock Island Arsenal from 1903 until 1913 and again from 1917 until 1919. Even though large numbers of M1917 "American Enfields" were manufactured and issued during World War I to supplement the supply of M1903s, the "Springfield 1903" remained the standard U.S. military service rifle until the adoption of the semi-automatic M1 Garand rifle in 1936. M1903 rifles made before February, 1918, utilized receivers and bolts which were single heat-treated by a method that rendered some of them brittle and liable to fracture when fired, exposing the shooter to a risk of serious injury. It proved impossible to determine, without destructive testing, which receivers and bolts were so affected and therefore potentially dangerous. To solve this problem, the Ordnance Department commenced double heat treatment of receivers and bolts. This was commenced at Springfield Armory at approximately serial number 800,000 and at Rock Island Arsenal at exactly serial number 285,507. All M1903s made after this change are commonly called “high number” rifles, those made before this change are commonly called “low-number” rifles. This Rock Island Arsenal M1903 "high number" serial number represents a 1919 production. The barrel is marked "R.I.A 5-22" (rebarreled at Rock Island in May 1922) along with "P" proof. The stock is marked "FJA" (inspector Lt. Col. Frank J. Atwood) & Springfield Ordnance Wheel, as well as "D28179" on the top of the headshield. Features include a 24" barrel, adjustable flip-up rear sight, front band post sight with cover, bayonet lug, metal buttplate with cleaning kit compartment (includes kit), sling rings and green canvas sling dated "1944". This gun has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate

1937 U.S. Springfield, M1922 MII, 22 LR, Bolt-Action (W/ 6 Magazines), SN - 18527B

Lot # 93

The Springfield Model 1922 is a .22 caliber bolt-action rifle that was built as a cadet rifle, designed to mimic the M1903 Springfield rifle for training purposes in 1925...more. It was produced in several different versions until World War II, when shortages of materials made production of a training rifle impractical. The M2 variant was introduced in 1933, which featured a simplified bolt and a shallower pistol grip on the stock. All versions of the M1922 used what would be the safety lug on the 1903 bolt as the locking lug, but initial problems with this lug cracking drove further development of the M1922 and an adjustable headspace mechanism in the locking lug was also incorporated in the M2 variation. This U.S. Springfield M1922 MII is serial numbered "18527" with a "B" suffix, which indicates that it was originally made in circa 1925-1933 and then updated just prior to, or during, WWII. Other marking include: "S.A. 3-37" barrel (Springfield Armory March 1937) with Flaming Bomb U.S. acceptance stamp, "M2" bolt along with pencil etched "18527", "NS" "M2" bolt handle and "SA" Springfield Armory stock cartouche. Features include a 24" barrel, Lyman rear aperture peep sight, front band post sight with cover, checkered metal buttplate, sling rings and comes with (6) 5-round steel magazines. This rifle will have a light crack under the rear stock, but otherwise is in very nice condition with a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. Duane “Jim” Smith Estate
