*Rare Confederate Civil War Tower- Enfield, Pattern 1853 two band, .577 cal, s/n NSN, muzzleloading musket rifle, brl length 33", very good condition, percussion action, ...moreConfederate Civil War two band musket with lock having 1861 date and the brass butt plate is "Control numbered" 651 on the top flat. The rifled musket has a brass muzzle cap, triggerguard and butt plate along with a brass chain holding the protective nipple cover. The lock has the crown mark left side of the hammer with the date 1861 over Tower on the right with the front barrel band being marked with a "W". The right side of the barrel has a bayonet lug located 4" from muzzle with a fixed front sight and a rear sight graduated to 10 with side graduation to 4. The brass butt plate shows a few dimples with the brass triggerguard having only the slightest deformation on the right side of the bow with very light scattered tool marks and the muzzle cap shows wear to the right side with assorted small tool marks. Walnut stock shows scattered light handling marks. Lock has very nice markings with a double line border at edge as does the hammer with a checkered spur. Most metal surfaces have a dark brown patina throughout showing some scattered light handling with the rear of the barrel & bolster showing some pitting. Two mounted sling swivels and steel ramrod void of tip. The bore has visible rifling and needs a good cleaning. Very nice Civil War Confederate two band. *German HA, Revolutionary War Period Officers pistol, .628" bore, s/n NSN, muzzleloading pistol, brl length 10.5", very good condition, flintlock action, Nicely executed ...moreofficers belt pistol with relief carved walnut stock nicely engraved brass components. The pistol has a half round blade front sight with band at muzzle, a slight taper trough rear sight and 3 "HA" hallmarks on the barrel one on the top flat with one either side at rear. The lock retaining plate is ornate brass engraved as well as the forend cap/ramrod pipe, triggerguard and grip cap. The muzzle cap is horn and the wood shows small losses around the barrel retaining pins and a repaired chip right side from grip cap. Grip cap is slightly loose and metal surfaces have a light and dark grey mottled patina throughout with a very small deformation on the top edge of the Frizen and the touch hole appearing to be original and undisturbed. *Unknown Dutch Manufacture, Pair of Profusely inlaid bone & ivory pistols, .50 cal, s/n NSN, muzzleloading pistols, brl length 14.5", very good plus condition, wheellock ...moreaction, Magnificent pair of heavily inlaid carved and engraved bone and ivory pistols. The lock mechanism has typical Dutch characteristics from the wheel and the projecting arm to the retaining style and hammer from along with the pointed shape of the rear portion of the lock. The base wood of the stocks appears to be walnut and then it was painstakingly inletted for the figural, animal and vine work ivory and bone. Each pistol differs slightly from the other with each bearing scenes of hunters with crossbows & pikes, rabbits, fox, hunting dogs & wild boar with each pistol being finished by an approximately 8.5" circumference ball one having a Nobel man portrait and other a lady. Each pistol is completed with an ivory tipped ramrod. There are a few areas of very slight repair work seen in some areas. *Scarce Cased Blunt & Syms, small frame underhammer pepperbox, .28 cal, s/n NSN, pepperbox pistol, brl length 2", excellent condition, double action percussion, Excellent...more cased 5 barrel cluster engraved pepperbox with walnut case, bullet mould/nipple tool, brass button ramrod and small copper, brass and steel powder flask. This example is the rarer size encountered with a scroll florette motif engraved throughout sides, top and backstrap of frame. Having a ring trigger and underhammer with walnut bag shape grip panels and flutes between cylinders along with the traditionally seen "R-C 80" on barrel face and cylinder pin head. The pepperbox appears to function as it should with a nice grey/brown mottled patina throughout, showing very little wear throughout with only one screw head bearing a few irregular tool marks. Walnut bag grip panels show only the lightest of handling. The walnut case shows some reglued areas with normal handling and is lined in a dark velvet style material. It is divided into 5 compartments for pistol, ammo, mould, ramrod and flask. The mould is two cavity style with blade and removal tool handles. The ramrod is iron construction with a step cone lead and brass button finial. The flask is 3.4" tall with a drapery style embossing of copper construction with a brass neck, spout and top having an iron/steel round spring which retains a majority of the Niter bluing. There are also a few papers in the case in old German script writing. The locking lug is not attached to the lid but remains locked in lock so one could re solder, no key present. *Rare Remington-Beals', Commercial Army Model, .44 cal, s/n 12, BP revolver, brl length 8", excellent condition, percussion single action, High Condition serial number 12...more Beals' Army. The octagonal barrel retains a majority of the original high polish bluing along with a two line barrel address which reads "BEALS' PATENT. SEPT.14.1858/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION.N.Y." and a few light surface scratches and freckling. Silver post front sight set in dovetail with a trough notch rear. The frame and cylinder both have a brown/grey patina with some tool marks present and some flash pitting. The brass triggerguard shows traces of silver wash and the case coloring is still visible in areas on hammer having a checkered spur. Walnut grip panels show only very light handling. Serial number present on bottom of barrel as well as under left grip panel on frame. Bore has very nice rifling with some pitting toward muzzle and very nice example of a limited production BEALS' Army with extremely low serial number. *Rare Remington-Beals', Commercial Army Model, .44 cal, s/n 616, BP revolver, brl length 8", very good condition, single action percussion, Produced in limited quantities...more between 1860-1862 estimated 2-3,0000 total having a steel frame and barrel with brass triggerguard. The serial number is located on the bottom of the octagonal barrel under the loading lever as well as under the left grip panel on the frame. Top of the barrel has a roll marking address which reads "BEALS' PATENT. SEPT.14.1858/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION, N.Y." in two lines with the bottom line marking showing faint but present. Bore has very nice rifling with a small amount of very fine surface pitting. Silver post front sight set in dovetail with trough notch rear. Traces of case coloring still present on hammer having a checkered spur. Walnut grip panels have been sanded with the left showing a very small repair bottom front left corner. The barrel is octagonal and has a three line roll marking which reads "PATENTED SEPT.14.1858.MARCH 17.1868/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL". Serial number is located under loading lever having a pinch post front sight and notch rear. The triggerguard is brass having a medium toned patina in most areas with a few tool marks and a slight deformation on right side in the center of the bow. Metal surfaces show a few scattered tool marks most noticeable left side of frame forward of the cylinder along with a few light surface scratches and build up. Areas on barrel flats still showing traces of original bluing. Bore has shine with pitting present and bottom edge of muzzle shows some deformation. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION.NEW YORK. U.S.A./NEW MODEL" along with a fixed blade front sight and a bore that has nice shine and rifling with some light pitting in a few areas. The nickel finish shows some losses with a few small areas of bubbling. The losses appear mostly on the left and bottom side barrel flats along with small loss right side showing very minor bubbling as well. The serial number is present underside of the barrel flat as well as under the left grip panel on the frame where you will also find a letter "E". The checkered hammer spur shows some losses to finish and slight deformation. *Rare Cased Remington-Beals', 3rd Model Pocket, .31 cal, s/n 230, BP revolver, brl length 4", excellent condition, percussion single action, Beautiful Rare High Condition...more Beals 3rd Model Pocket with walnut case, eagle clutching revolver brass embossed flask, tool & cap tin along with two cavity mould contained inside this 6 compartment red velvet lined case. The revolver has matching numbers on bottom of the barrel under left grip panel on frame and on underside of both grip panels. The 3rd Model was only manufactured form 1859-1860 with a total production run of approximately 1,000-1,500. 98% of original high polish bluing is still present on the octagonal barrel with a two line address that reads "BEALS' PATENT 1856&57.&58./MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS' ILION. N.Y." along with a silver cone style front sight set in dovetail and a bore that shines very bright. Single diamond hard rubber checkered grip panels show very little wear throughout with a very small loss on right panel top rear where it contacts frame. The remaining metal surfaces retain a good amount of the original factory finish including the Niter blued trigger and shield with the only noticeable wear to the head slots on some screw heads and a few other light tool marks. The walnut case is missing its locking lug as as such the lid has gained a slight bow from time but could be easily fixed. No key. This is a fine example of a nice cased 3rd Model Beals pocket. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A.". The caliber designation is located on the rear of the left side triggerguard bow "44" and there is a number "7" marked in the frame under the left grip panel and referenced as a batch number. The walnut grip panels show some scattered light indentations throughout. The nickel finish shows some small areas of loss with the left side of the muzzle showing holster wear. There are a few light surface scratches along with a couple of very light tool marks throughout with some heavier tool marks and scratches underside of barrel at muzzle area. Front blade sight and rear notch with a checkered hammer spur. The bore is dirty and needs to be cleaned. Overall a nice example of an 1875. Proxibid does not provide high resolution photos. The left side of the barrel is marked in a double line V P Eaglehead P/NJ, having a Buffington rear sight with a front blade with tube shield. The trap door retains almost all the original case coloring with the remaining metal surfaces showing only minor loss of bluing on some edges and high spots. Cleaning kit is intact in butt of carbine and the circle "P" is present underside of wrist. Bore shines very bright and the walnut stock shows scattered light indentations with the remains of a paper label on the left of butt stock. Being a variant of the Model 1873 being marked as such. Bluing throughout entire rifle shows very little light handling minor thinning in a few areas i.e. muzzle, butt plate & barrel band high spots. Walnut stock with Cartouche left side in borderline "JSA/1902" and a 58/circle P under wrist. Walnut shows very little handling throughout mostly in the shape of light indentations. The butt plate retains a majority of original finish having a round trap door that is void of cleaning rod. Very nice case coloring present on safety selector. Blued metal finish showing a few areas of very light surface pitting under finish scattered on top of front portion of barrel with only small amounts of thinning in a few areas throughout. Inspectors Cartouche is partially illegible in a borderline "JLA/189?" with a nice circle "P" underside of wrist. Walnut stock shows some handling marks in a few areas. Exceptional U.S. Springfield Armory, National Match Model 1903, .30-06 Sprg, s/n 1231700, rifle, brl length 24", excellent plus condition, bolt action, Fine example of a ...more1921 manufactured National Match 1903 rifle having correctly marked bolt flat "WL/3" along with the star gauge barrel marked correctly on muzzle crown. The walnut stock is correctly inspector marked "D.A.L." in borderline rectangle along with the circle "P" and sub-inspector "T" underside of wrist. The butt plate is of the fine checkered style with original cleaning kit inside. The rifle is also fitted with an O'HARE rear sight protective stamped steel cover and a cast bronze spring loaded front sight cover as well. There is a sub-inspection "R" located in the recessed well under the cut off which is also correctly block letter marked. The overall condition of the rifle is near perfect with only the slightest wear to finish at muzzle area from sliding the protective cover over the front sight and with only the smallest handling marks in a few areas. Remington, Model P14, .303 British, s/n 222375, rifle, brl length 26", very good plus condition, bolt action, High Condition RE marked Pattern 14 rifle with receiver havi...moreng assorted British proof marks with the "RE" in a borderline oval. The full serial number is also located on top of the bolt handle and underside of the graduated to 16 rear ladder sight. Walnut stock at underside of wrist is marked with a "crown/A5/C/M" and right side just forward of disc marked "Broad Arrow/IR/1914" in a circle with an * to the right. Forend has finger grooves and Volley sights are still present. Wood stock shows scattered light handling scratches with a few indentations. The bore shines Like New and the metal surface has minor thinning at muzzle and bolt handle with a small scratch in floor plate less than a 1/4" long. Great example of a Pattern 14 in high condition.
