Extremely Scarce WWII Rock-Ola, Test M1 carbine, .30 carbine, s/n TEST 7, carbine, brl length 18", excellent condition, semi auto, Very Rare Test ROCK-OLA carbine having ...morea high cut stock with the rear receiver markings "TEST 7" in one line and "ROCK-OLA" marked just above tang screw hole. The front of the receiver has "U.S. CARBINE/CAL..30M1" two line marking along with "ROCK-OLA" marking on barrel just rearward of the front sight. The extractor is marked "R" and the two position folding rear sight is marked "BR" on the right and "S" on the left with the fixed front sight being marked "TR" on the front flat. The carbine is fitted with a checkered steel butt plate and barrel band mounted sling swivel. There are no other markings visible. This example Test No. 7 is only one of a handful of test carbines produced by Rock-Ola which had the lowest production numbers of all firms contracted to produce M1 carbines at 3.7 percent of production. Majority of metal finish is Parkerized with the front sight, barrel band, retaining spring, bolt and tang being finished in a dull blue. The finish on the bolt is thinning associated with the cycling of the action with only minor losses to remaining finish on the gun. A fine rare example of a WWII test carbine would be a welcomed addition to any collection. 14-2-17

*Exceptional New Haven Arms Co., 2nd Model Henry Repeating rifle, .44 Henry, s/n 7706, rifle, brl length 24", very good plus condition, lever action, Government purchase ...morerifle is listed as being used by the 3rd Regiment U.S. Vet. Vol.-1865 Companies B, C, I, H & K and is found listed in the book "The Historic Henry Rifle Oliver Winchester's Famous civil War Repeater" by Wiley Sword. Found on page 75, 2nd row, 9th column of Appendix C. Serial numbers matching to top barrel flat, left side of brass frame under wood stock, on top flat of wood stock under top tang, underside of brass butt plate and on both butt plate retaining screws. Brass frame has nice toned patina with very nice lines showing just a few light tool marks on either top edge of side plates showing one light line scratch right side edge of rear drop and a few very small hairlines with very little other overall wear. Barrel and tube magazine retain a nice percentage of original bluing having an overall grey/brown/blue mottled patina. Barrel edges have nice crisp lines with standard two line barrel address. Folding graduated to 8 ladder rear sight with fixed blade front. Follower and spring function as they should and the rifle has standard Henry configuration sling mounts. Bore has very nice visible rifling with some small scattered pitting. Walnut stock has typical Henry bump present and assorted light scattered surface indentations and small loss at toe. Wonderful example of a Civil War Henry.

Original bluing on barrel and tube magazine retain almost all finish with minor thinning on leading edge and around tube at retaining band. There are approximately 6 very small areas of almost unnoticeable fine freckling 2.5" from barrel transition. Bluing on receiver shows thinning of original finish with the left side retaining 95 plus percent. Wood shows some handling indentation being light. Fantastic example of a Deluxe .45/90 Takedown. Bore shines As New.

Winchester, Model 62A, .22 S,L,LR, s/n 243058, rifle, brl length 23", excellent condition, slide action, High Condition 62A Manufactured in 1948 with a beaded blade front...more sight and adjustable for elevation rear, having a smooth walnut straight grip stock and 17 groove ribbed forend with a checkered black composite butt plate. The bore shines mirror bright having a standard crown muzzle. The smooth walnut straight grip stock shows virtually no handling wear, there are only two very small indentations underside along with what appears to be a factory repair on the left side bottom edge at receiver, very small and almost unnoticeable. The ribbed walnut forend shows only very light scattered handling while the blued metal finish shows only a small handful of light handling marks most notably a very thin hairline left shoulder of barrel 9" from muzzle with some minor thinning on contact areas of cycling action. Fine example of a 62A. 14-2-20

Manufactured guns with superimposed charges on Jacob Mould's Pat. Circa 1830-1835. Died 1837 with the business continued by son, William F. Mills, under father's name, and as Mills & Son. Gunmaker to Ordnance, 1836-1839; East India Co., 1836-1843. Bankrupt, 1843. Cased fitted walnut dovetailed chest with paper label containing pistol, bullet mold, solid brass cleaning rod, Sykes marked copper and brass powder flask and wads with green felt lining having a brass inletted monogram plate void of any markings. The pistol is of a two barrel over two barrel rotating design bearing crossed key proof marks in the barrel flutes with the top of each barrel being engraved "MILLS & SON-LONDON". Frame is engraved on top and both sides in a scrollwork with border line with the right side and top bearing more engraving. Both hammers are engraved as well with scrollwork and fish pattern. The trigger guard is engraved in a scroll florette style. The pistol retains traces of the original finish. Metal surfaces show very little handling wear with a few very light tool marks with a light and dark grey mottled patina throughout. Walnut one piece grip having round knob base shows 90% checkering coverage with only minor light handling and a silver monogram plate inletted into the center of the grip. Fine example of an English swivel barrel.

*Scarce John Cookson Boston, Breech loading, .58 cal, s/n NSN, BP rifle, brl length 28.125", very good condition, flintlock action, John Cookson, Mass. enrolled in the An...morecient and Honorable Artillery Company in 1701. From 1722 to 1726 he acted as company clerk. In 1727 was employed to clean and repair the arms belonging to the Province of Massachusetts Bay. And later opening his own firm manufacturing rifles till 1762 when he died leaving his gunsmith tools to his grandson Samuel and his shop to his grandson John. John Cookson built many rare and unusual rifles including the "Cookson Repeater." This example is a breech loading flintlock having a top mounted hinge with the release located just in front of the trigger inside the guard. The guard itself is of unusual shape with finger form to grasp with ease. Being constructed of iron with partial single line border and finial plate. Right side of frame is engraved "John Cookson/Boston" in two lines just below hammer cock. The barrel has two double lines running from back to front along the top of barrel and at the muzzle the barrel has a trumpet flare, being lightly engraved at both breech and muzzle with a small fixed front sight and notch rear. There are two lines of rifling very faint but visible with areas of pitting in the bore. The wood appears maple with a hump back scalloped shadow line straight grip butt stock and forend with scroll tip. The wood has various indentations throughout with a few scuffs all of old age. The forend retention pins have been removed and reinserted from opposite side. The iron butt plate is slightly oversized. All metal surfaces have a gray mottled patina throughout with spot freckling and a few areas of very light flash pitting. There is the slightest amount of loose play in the action. Fine example of a breech loading Cookson rifle.

Co., Model 1852 "Slant Breech" SRC, .52 cal, s/n 14296, carbine, brl length 21.75", very good condition, percussion action, Just shy of 6,000 Model 1...more852 Slant Breech SRC's were manufactured and most were used by the South in the War of Northern Aggression i.e. The Civil War. This example has all the standard features including the 9" saddle ring bar and ring along with the brass barrel band which it is secured to at the front portion. The rear sight is folding and graduated and the front is a brass blade. The carbine has a brass butt plate and patch box with a bore that has nice rifling and minor light scattered surface pitting in some areas. The overall metal finish has a dark brown/grey mottled appearance with some flash pitting present on hammer side, breech block top and receiver is some areas. The walnut stock has no outward visible repairs with normal military style handling wear present. Nice example of a Slant Breech.

The blued barrel has a faint three line address forward of the rear sight and an also faint single line model designation rearward of sight. The blued finish barrel shows blue/dark brown mottling with a few tool marks left side just in front of forend and some scattered light surface scratches. The bore shines very bright having 6 lands and 6 grooves. Traces of case coloring present on the right side of receiver with remaining case hardened surfaces show a light and dark grey mottled patina. Standard Lawrence & Sharps patents both in two line present right side of receiver with the serial number marking on the top tang. The walnut butt stock and forend have moderate indentation and scratches as expected with SRC of this period.

*Tipping & Lawden, Sharps Patent single shot, 9mm rf, s/n 1?, rifle, brl length 20.25", very good condition, single shot sliding barrel, This example is marked left side ...moreof frame in a circle "TIPPING & LAWDEN SHARPS' PATENT" and on the top barrel flat "B.S.GARDEN. 29 PICCADILLY. LONDON" in a single line. There are three stacked proof marks underside of barrel as well as one right side of frame. Engraved flower motif screw heads located at rear of tang as well as both butt plate retaining screws. The barrel slides forward to load a round and to extract with an addition left side frame mounted extractor lever. Number 1 is located on the underside of the barrel flat along with being marked underside of stock just rear of grip tang. Frame is silver nickel over brass having a mostly rainbow patina with some thinning and a few losses at the back of to tang. Bore shines bright with nice rifling and a few areas of very light pitting. Barrel shows traces of bluing with a mottled patina. Ejector bar, lever and folding rear leaf sight all show traces of Niter bluing. There are a few light tool marks on the edges near the rear sight with minor light handling in some places throughout. Hammer spur is checkered and hammer is slightly loose. Finish on frame shows light surface scratches with very few penetrating finish. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock has steel butt plate and grip cap. Original finish has mostly thinned off cap with a lot of original finish present on plate showing some areas of pitting. Wood shows light scratches and indentations with a small area of heavy indentations just behind the number one marking. Two rear sights with notch rear and notch and peep just in front of that also folds. Front sight is fixed and dovetailed set.

"No. 2" size having the early brass frame in the rare .30 rim fire caliber. The bore measures .300 using a Mitutoyo dial caliper. The brass frame shows traces of a nickel finish showing assorted surface scratches and light tool marks with a half round half octagonal barrel having a two line barrel address that is faint but present. The grip panels are walnut and show assorted light handling marks and the bore has visible rifling with very light surface pitting scattered. Brass post front sight and notch rear, with metal surfaces having a dark grey mottled patina.

Manufactured from 1860-1873. Frame and barrel have matching serial numbers. Barrel top flat has two line address and revolver is fitted with checkered hard rubber grip panels showing almost no handling wear. The bore has shine with visible rifling and some very light scattered surface pitting. The trigger guard is Nickel plated brass showing minor thinning on edges with the steel frame and octagonal barrel having a Nickel finish showing scattered losses and thinning with very little handling marks.

There are sub inspection markings throughout with an "M" on the left side of the frame in two locations as well as on the cylinder. The cylinder also bears and "L" and the letter "C" can be found on either side of the barrel flat, triggerguard and right side of frame. The serial number is located on the underside of barrel flat and the top barrel flat is marked in three lines "PATENTED SEPT 14,1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A./NEW-MODEL". Most of the original bluing is present on the metal surfaces with some thinning and those areas show a light brown patina. The trigger retains most of its blued metal finish as well. The hammer retains alot of the case coloring with a checkered spur. The brass triggerguard has a nice toned patina throughout and the walnut grip panels show only minor losses at base edges with little overall wear. The bore shine like new and the entire revolver shows only the slightest handling marks. Fine example of a U.S. inspected New Army Revolver.

Left side of the barrel is marked in a single line VP Eagleshead P with a Buffington rear sight, fixed blade front sight with tube shield. Trap door retains almost all of the case coloring. Fine example of a ramrod bayonet trap door rifle.

*U.S. Springfield, Model of 1884, .45-70 gov't, s/n 456270, rifle, brl length 32.5", excellent condition, trap door action, High Condition trap door appearing to have jus...moret left the factory with only minor thinning to the blued finish at muzzle. The left side of the walnut stock has a Cartouche in a borderline "SWP/1889" with the underside of wrist bearing the circle "P" with inspectors marking just in front and a 37 at the toe. Top of the butt plate marked US with left side of barrel having the VP Eagleshead P in a single line. the trap door retains almost all of the vibrant case coloring with a Buffington rear sight. Walnut stock shows some very minor light indentation handling marks. Very nice example of a high condition trap door.

*U.S. Springfield, Model 1892 Conversion, .30-40 Krag, s/n 4084, rifle, brl length 30", very good plus condition, bolt action, Cleaning rod conversion dated 1894 receiver...more having round trapdoor in steel butt plate containing cleaning kit. Vibrant Niter blued extractor shows almost no visible loss with just a few very faint hairline rubs almost unnoticeable. Rear sight is graduated to 18 with circle "P" underside of wrist with very faint Cartouche. Walnut stock shows small loss left side at butt plate with some scattered light indentations. Blued metal surfaces show only some minor thinning in a few areas with some very light handling marks in a few areas. Bore has shine and butt plate shows brown/grey mottled patina.

Norwegian Krag Jorgensen, Model 1912, 6.5x55mm, s/n 3852, carbine, brl length 24", excellent condition, bolt action, High Condition 1914 dated receiver with crown proofin...moregs along with serial number. V front fixed sight with tangent rear graduated to 2200 meters. Factory original condition with matching serial numbers located on bolt, handle, underside, left side of trigger guard, underside rear sight, left side of barrel band and on steel butt plate. Two standard location sling attachment points also having a nose cap mounted ring as well as a ring on front of the triggerguard. Smooth walnut stock and hand guard with finger groove forend. Bore shines bright. Stock shows only the slightest handling wear with the blued metal surfaces showing very little handling wear and a brown/blue mottled patina in some areas with minor light thinning on some edges. 14-3-8
