10/24/2008 - Bid Live Online at Proxibid for Dick Ward’s Excalibur 800 Twin Bonanza Aircraft

Omaha, NE — October 24, 2008 — Proxibid, the world’s largest provider of live auction webcasting solutions, is pleased to provide live online bidding for United Country Beloit Auction & Realty’s upcoming auction of an Excalibur 800 Twin Bonanza aircraft and other personal items owned by Dick Ward.  The auction, slated for Saturday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. EST will be open for live, online bidding via Proxibid.  Registration and pre-bidding for this auction is already available at proxibid.com/beloit.

Until his recent passing, Mr. Ward served as president of the Twin Bonanza Association, and was a highly respected figure in the Beechcraft airplane community.  The Excalibur 800 aircraft available in this auction has a rich history.  After being operated for a few years by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the aircraft was donated in the late 1980’s to a Wisconsin Community College, where it was used by A&P mechanic trainees for educational purposes such as inspections, gear retractions, and taxi training.  In December 1997, this training aircraft was replaced with a donated KingAir and declared surplus to the school’s needs.  Forward Horizons (Mr. Ward’s Company) then purchased the aircraft and conducted its high grade restoration.

More than 375 lots, including the 1960 Excalibur 800 Twin Bonanza aircraft, will cross the block during this live auction event.  One-of-a kind finds, from historic memorabilia, parts, and autographed books to a complete shop of tooling and fabricating tools will be available in this auction.  Bidders will not want to miss the opportunity to bid live on the following featured items in this auction:
•    Lot 229:  Beechcraft Swerigen Excalibur 800 Lycoming IO-720s complete Garmin upgrade engines and completely refurbished paint and leather.
•    Lot 229A:  80' X 100' “Forward Horizons” Aircraft Hangar setup for any professional restoration projects.
•    Lot 231:  John Deere 2000 series industrial tractor.
•    Lot 242:  1946 Type Certificated Serial #10 Johnson Rocket with Lycoming 435 engine, custom fuselage rotating fixture.  All wood. Appears air-worthy. Parts have been disassembled and cataloged.
•    Lot 337:  Lycoming IO-720-A1A  400 horsepower engine with documentation.
