Roseville Pottery Peony Vase

Lot # 2 (Sale Order: 2 of 267)      

Up for auction is a Roseville Peony double handled vase in green & gold. The piece is marked on the bottom in raised relief "Roseville U.S.A." and the mold number 58-6". Size is 6-1/2" tall x 5" wide from handle to handle. The diameter of the opening at the top is 1-3/4", and the diameter of the base is 2-1/2". It is in great condition with with no chips, cracks, damage, or repair of any kind.

Vintage Sunny Jim Cloth Advertising Doll

This is a vintage 1930s advertising cloth doll that was a premium from Force Cereal for their Wheat Flakes. It is made of printed cloth and stuffed. There are some light stains on the legs possibly from being stored away, but considering the age it is in very good condition. It is printed on both sides and is approximately 18-1/2" tall.

2 Tin Litho Wind-Up Toys - Penguin and Scooter Riding Clown

Here are 2 vintage tin litho wind-up toys. The first is a penguin approximately 5-3/4" tall and is hilarious and fun to watch. The second is a clown riding a scooter toy with 3 different tires (intentional) measuring approximately 4-1/2" long x 2-1/2" wide x 5-1/2" tall. They have both been tested, work just fine and are in their original box and with original keys.

"For Victory" Buy War Bonds Poster

In this auction we have several WWII era posters urging people to support the war effort by buying war bonds. This poster humorously depicts Hitler believing that the Americans are buying 'War Bunds' (which is German for bonds). It is mounted on linen and is in excellent condition. Vintage Tilso Japanese 8 Transistor Radio

This vintage 1920s tin over cardboard sign for Dandro Solvent is probably my 'most' favorite sign and has never been used. The colors are bright and vivid and the easel back has never been unfolded. Here are 2 souvenir pieces of jewelry from the 1939 New York World's Fair. The first is a solid brass adjustable bracelet. It is either for a child or a small adult, measuring approximately 1-7/8" across and is embossed on the band. The 2nd item is an adjustable ring also of brass, we think. The logo is 1/2" in diameter. The logos on both pieces are very nice.

Kerosene Lamp

Lot # 14 (Sale Order: 14 of 267)      

This lamp has a square metal base measuring 4-1/2". The glass center is decorated with flowers with the rest of the parts made of solid brass. Don't know the glass pattern or maker although the burner says P & A Co. Pat 1/16/88 and 8/17/87. The glass has some nice bubbles in it. It measures approximately 12-1/2" tall without the burner. There is no chimney and the metal black base need repainting. A very nice old lamp.

Daisy Red Ryder Toy Rifle

This is a Daisy Red Ryder toy rifle, model number 938 and was manufactured in Rogers, Arkansas. It has the orange tip on it and is approximately 30" long. You cock it, pull the trigger and it makes noise. There are some slight scuff marks but otherwise in very good condition. (This is not a BB gun).

Frank's Orange Nectar Round Embossed Tin Sign

The colorful, round embossed tin sign advertising Frank's Orange Nectar was manufactured by Frank's Beverages, a Philadelphia-based soft drink company. "It's the best orange nectar," proudly proclaims the sign that is 14-1/2" in diameter. It has a slight, non-offensive crease that may be noticeable at certain angles (please see photos for accuracy).

New York World's Fair Ladies Compact
