Neolithic Montana Recovered Arrowheads & Artifacts

The collection includes 45 original authentic Montana Recovered Neolithic Pre-Historic and early artifacts. Provenance: All of these artifacts were recovered by Doctor Catss of Helena, Montana and his wife thought the 20th century. The items were mainly recovered in the following Montana County's: Broadwater, Jefferson, Gallatin, Lewis and Clark, Meagher, and Madison. The artifacts include arrowheads, spear points, scrapers, knives, bird points, and others with some very fine rare pieces. The pieces have been adhered to a foam background and are displayed in a 12 3/8"x16 3/8" glass top case (ready to be displayed in your collection). Center knife is 4 3/8"L.

Navajo Sleeping Beauty Sterling Bear Claw Bracelet

This is an excellent Navajo Native American Indian sterling silver & turquoise cuff by master silversmith Richard Begay. The piece shows a wonderful craftsmanship with rich floral and feather paisley over a solid sterling silver construction. The bracelet shows five exquisite Sleeping Beauty Turquoise mine stone with the center stone being a very large polished nugget. Each side shows a large trophy Black Bear Claw. The piece is signed, "RB" with a small hallmark below. The bracelet is in very good condition with normal wear. Measures (shipping) 3 3/8"W x 2 5/8"H x 2"D with a 7" inside circumference wrist size.

This is an excellent collection of gem quality Dry Creek Turquoise polished nugget necklace from the Navajo Native American Indians. The early necklace features 21 large polished nugget turquoise stone strung on a strand of sinew. The stones show rich coloring with fantastic playful matrix and is truly an exquisite collection of rare gem quality stones. The necklace has a total weight of 1,737 carats and measures 12.75"L (28.25" total circumference).

Early Masonic Knights Templar Sword and Scabbard

This is a Masonic Knights Templar sword and scabbard. The sword carries the organization's motto "In hoc Signo Vinces" which means "in this sign you will conquer". The sword and scabbard are marked with the original owner's name and initials. It is also marked by the manufacturer "The Henderson Ames Co. Kalamazoo, Mich.". The sword is adorned with numerous crosses and crowns. The sword and scabbard are in good condition. The sword measures 36.5" long.

Sioux Beaded Turtle Umbilical Fetish

Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 5 of 537)      

This is a Sioux Native American Indian beaded turtle umbilical fetish. The piece shows glass trade Venetian beads trade cotton sewn to Indian tanned hide with tin jingle cone feet. Umbilical cords were traditionally placed inside these fetishes, as a measure of good luck and health for the newborn, and hung from the cradle board. Later, they were often worn by the child or attached to clothing. They were used for protection from evil spirits and kept throughout life. This modern recreation shows a wonderful traditional design and construction. The piece shows good condition and measures 7"x6.5"x2.25".

Kiowa Beaded Choker Necklace circa 1890-1900

This is a wonderful early Kiowa Native American Indian beaded choker necklace from circa 1890-1900. The piece shows a latice pattern fancy beaded design of 19th century glass trade seed beads in medium green, semi-transparent red white hearts, Cheyenne pink, black, greasy yellow (pony bead), and chalk white (pony bead). The piece shows overall very well preserved good condition with some signs of age. The necklace is "L and is displayed in a 8.25"x12.25" glass top display case.

This is a Navajo old pawn sterling silver, turquoise and coral cuff bracelet. The cuff features a large medallion mounted with Blue Gem turquoise, coral and mother of pearl. The piece shows fantastic workmanship and is in very good condition. The center medallion measures 1.5" x 2.5" and the cuff measures 2.5" x 2.5" overall.

Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Bracelet

This is a Navajo sterling silver and turquoise bracelet. The bracelet features a double row of Nevada Blue turquoise cabochons set in sterling silver. This piece shows a Native American elder overlooking a buffalo skull as he recollects times when they were plentiful on the plains. The drawing is in good condition. It has been signed by the artist and is dated 1968. The drawing measures 15" x 18".

Pre-Historic Jasper & Stone Paint Bowls S. Dakota

Lot # 23 (Sale Order: 25 of 537)      

This is an exceptional collection of two authentic Pre-Historic Neolithic Ancient paint bowls. Both bowls were recovered in South Dakota in the 1930's by Max Preston. The first shows an exquisite Jasper carved bowl recovered in Spink County South Dakota showing a shallow bowl with rich red/brown coloring and wonderful condition. The other is a stone paint bowl recovered in Campbell County South Dakota. Both pieces shows a well preserved condition and are truly museum quality. The owner would have ground up mineral paints such as ocher and crafted paints to adorn Buffalo Hides and bowls. Jasper bowl is . Stone Bowl is . Both are displayed in a glass top case that is 7.25"x8.25" and 2" thick.
