Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted features, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde mohair wig, paper mache five-piece body with painted shoes and socks. Marks: S&H. Simon and Halbig, circa 1890, the doll wears original costume including striped silk trousers, and has original wig.
Lot # 2 (Sale Order: 2 of 59)
Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, modeled and brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, dimpled chin and lip corners, brunette human hair elongated wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Marks: 1079 Halbig S&H Germany 14 1/2. Generally excellent, beautiful bisque, near mint original body. Simon and Halbig, circa 1890.
Lot # 3 (Sale Order: 3 of 59)
Bisque shoulder head with slender angular face, elongated throat, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig in up-swept fashion, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower limbs, painted ribbed stockings and three strap heeled shoes, nicely costumed. Marks: 6/0 172. Generally excellent. Kestner, circa 1912, the model was based on the illustrations of the American artist, Charles Dana Gibson, and this is the smallest of the three sizes made.
Lot # 4 (Sale Order: 4 of 59)
Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, painted blue side-glancing eyes, grey eye shadow, fringed brows and lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig in soft curls, jointing at shoulders and hips. Marks: Lenci (paper label, with ink script BH-55). Generally excellent, vibrant fresh colors of costume. Lenci, circa 1945, the doll wears original organdy gown with red felt lattice trim, felt applique roses and leaves, red felt bonnet with feathers and roses, organdy petticoat, hoop and pantalets, socks, and black felt shoes.

including headdress. The all-bisque doll has one-piece head and torso, brown glass inset eyes, painted features, closed mouth, brunette mohair wig in long braids, jointed arms and legs. Wearing very elaborate Russian folklore costume including "jeweled" headdress. Germany, circa 1900. Generally excellent.
Lot # 6 (Sale Order: 6 of 59)
Each is all-bisque, painted brushstroked hair with forelock details, blue side-glancing googly eyes, closed mouth with strikingly downcast lips in a very serious pout, jointing at shoulders and shoes. The larger example, with swivel head marked 9566 Heubach, is wearing a blue woolen policeman's uniform, head is excellent, body is reproduction. The smaller example has one piece head and torso, marked 9540, is wearing wonderful romper suit, and is in excellent condition. Germany, circa 1915.

Felt swivel head with center seam, shaped nose, stitched mouth, long grey mohair beard, brown glass eyes, stitched-on yellow mohair cap, and felt costume, jointed arms and legs, large feet with brown felt shoes. The gnome has a silver Steiff button in ear. Very good condition, slight dustiness. Germany, Steiff, circa 1920.
Lot # 8 (Sale Order: 8 of 59)
Bisque socket head with three facial variations that can be alternately revealed by turning the knob at the crown, each with painted facial features and closed mouth, two with blue glass eyes, The head is enclosed in a paper mache hood which attaches to torso, and the doll has composition and wooden fully-jointed arms and legs, and is wearing a beautiful lace dress and bonnet which are original, socks, shoes, undergarments. Marks: C.B. (stamp on back shoulderplate). Germany, Carl Bergner, circa 1892. Excellent condition.

Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes, painted lower lashes, brushstroked brows, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, dimpled chin and philtrum, brunette human hair over cork pate, pierced ears, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with working "mama" crier, wearing pretty lace dress and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep Tete Jumeau 9 (head) Bebe Jumeau Diplome d'Honneur (body). French, SFBJ/Jumeau, circa 1900.
Lot # 10 (Sale Order: 10 of 59)
One-piece bisque head and torso, large bald pate, "O" shaped large blue eyes, button-shaped nose, tiny closed mouth with blushed cheeks, painted white tunic smock, jointed arms and legs, sculpted large pink slippers with ruffled edge. Generally excellent. The wistful shy googly was based upon designs by the American illustrator, Charles Twelvetrees, made in Germany, circa 1915.

Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted features, closed mouth modeled as though open with tiny "stuck-out" tongue tip, blonde mohair wig, five piece paper mache body with painted socks and shoes, nicely costumed. Marks: 7550 4/0. Generally excellent. Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912.
Lot # 12 (Sale Order: 12 of 59)
Bisque socket head, large brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted features, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, blonde human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, nicely costumed. Marks: made in Germany JDK 260/70 (head) made in Germany (body). Generally excellent. Kestner, circa 1910. The doll has especially fine sculpting, laughter crinkles and dimples around the mouth, original toddler body and body finish.

One-piece all-bisque doll with blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, four tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, loop-jointed arms and legs, painted stockings and black one-strap shoes, pretty costume. Generally excellent. Marks: SWC 257 19. Germany, circa 1910, rare large size with original mohair wig, the little girl is carrying two miniature German dogs with original German paper labels.

Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, painted lashes, closed mouth with pouty expression, blonde mohair wig in side-parted short boyish fashion, jointing at shoulders and hips. Very good condition, slight dustiness. Italian, Lenci, circa 1930, the boy wears his original costume of patterned felt jacket, tan trousers, shirt, tie, leather shoes.

Each is all-bisque with swivel head, painted facial features, blue eyes, closed mouth, mohair wig, jointed bisque arms and legs, painted blue boots. Generally excellent. French, circa 1900, the dolls were marketed as "Lilliputians", and were presented in these factory-original fashionable or folkloric costumes.

Each is of black sateen cloth with firmly-stuffed face and body, elongated throat, embroidered petite features, shapely lady torso and elongated limbs. Each is wearing her original costume and turban. Very good condition, one doll has wear on leg under skirt. Late 1800s.

Solid domed bisque shoulder head with painted blonde boyish hair, painted facial features, tiny intaglio eyes with heavy eyelids, single stroke brows and eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line in downcast pouting expression, kid pin-jointed body, bisque forearms, nicely costumed. Marks: Heubach (square mark) Germany. Generally excellent. Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912.

Bisque socket head with elongated facial shape, blue glass sleep eyes, painted facial features, open mouth, outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, auburn mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Marks: C 1/2 made in Germany 7 1/2 241 (head) Germany (body). Generally excellent. Kestner, circa 1914, the model is known as "Hilda's older sister".

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted features, closed mouth with delicately-accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid-over-wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, bisque lower arms and hands, wearing antique undergarments and shoes, and with antique gown. Generally excellent, restoration to fingers on left hand. Marks: 4 (head and shoulders). Gaultier, circa 1870.
Lot # 22 (Sale Order: 22 of 59)
Each has bisque shoulderhead with sculpted hair and painted facial features, muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, and each is wearing factory original costume. Included are two men (one with moustache), two women with light brown hair, and a rare brown-complexioned woman with black hair. Generally excellent, one man has missing foot. Germany, circa 1890.
Lot # 23 (Sale Order: 23 of 59)
-7" dolls. Each of the dolls has carved wooden head with white gofun finish, very narrow enamel eyes, painted features, black silk floor-length hair in very elaborate coiffure, painted feathering of hair around the face, expressively-posed hands. Each of the ladies has padded silk costume comprising red silk twill trousers and silk kimono with elaborate silk embroidery. Included are four pieces of miniature red lacquer furnishings with painted detail and silver accents. Excellent condition. Japanese, Meiji era, late 1800s.
