SHIPPING - PLEASE READ: We are an auction company & provide shipping as a service to buyers. Our in house team of 3 people are experienced packers & we ship 60-100 boxes a week. Our goal is to get your items to you safely and securely regardless of the price you paid. Our pricing is typically cheaper than outsourcing and we can control quality and customer service as well. We are not up-charging to make money, however we are charging to cover costs. Some may not like this but we cannot offer discounted shipping as we sell everything on consignment and these costs are not absorbed elsewhere. Shipping is done within 3 days - you must notify us if you will be picking items up by noon the day after the auction via email or phone. All items are shipped insured & with signature confirmation- these are not up charged. USPS: Signature costs $2.35 and insurance starts at $1.89.USPS priority includes $50 insurance free. UPS: Signature is $3.87 and does not actually offer insurance (they have a maximum liability of $100 per box) so that is outsourced starting at 1.89 as well (these fees do not print on the labels). All items will be shipped USPS or UPS at A New Day Auctions choice- typically cheaper price. These services are required by credit card and/or insurance providers -so we can verify delivery and can provide any claim service if an items is damaged. A handling & material fee per package/box will be charged based on materials used and time. All costs are base on time & materials not value or price paid for the item. Ex: Breakables inherently cost more to pack than books. Handling/Time is calculated from time picking the items, wrapping, boxing, invoicing, and labeling typically minimum of 10 minutes which is a $3.00 charge. Materials vary- and although USPS priority/FR/Reg boxes are free, labels, tapes, bubble wrap, etc are not. Charges are not based on value of items. COINS & JEWELRY: insurance does not cover coins and jewelry that are sent without signature required. Insurance also does not cover any precious metals, coins, or jewelry not shipped in priority boxes. So shipping 1 coin will typically be the same as shipping as many we can fit in a flat rate box. FIREARMS: Adult signature is legally required - this is a higher charge. BOOK RATE/MEDIA MAIL: Please review published USPS guidelines for what qualifies. We will not break the law and ship non-qualifying pieces at media rate to try and save money. They do random checks- opening boxes and we can be fined. ARTWORK: To ship safely this is often oversized which is expensive and packing materials typically start at $10. Remember cost of item only affects insurance amount not shipping cost. a $10 lot can cost $100 to ship if it is large and heavy. And a $1000 coin can cost $12. AUTHENTICITY: We strive to represent items with all honesty – our reputation depends on it. We are not experts in every field and often consult with those who are. Fakes and forgeries are very prevalent in all areas of antiques and collectibles. We refuse known forgeries nearly every day with best efforts to keep them off the market. Occasionally a known fake such as a Rolex may be sold but will be clearly stated in the catalog descriptions. Other items may not be easily determined such as Coach and we will report it as marked as such and such. AUTOGRAPHS: Autographs are an exceptionally difficult field with many authentication services available. We do not believe authenticating is an exact science and are not here to engage in “dueling experts” to dispute COA’s and will not accept a contrary opinion as grounds for canceling a sale regardless of perceived qualifications of another expert. Authentications come down to a matter of opinion. We sell everything on consignment and represent what we know about an item including any authentication that comes with an item. This process will require us to charge an additional $30 to the buyer. PAYMENT: All risk of loss and responsibility for purchase passes to buyer immediately upon award of bid. Full payment shall be received for all purchases during or immediately after conclusion of the auction on sale day in U.S. currency. The federal and state laws and penalties for failure to settle and pay shall apply. All sales are subject to applicable MN sales tax unless auction cashier is provided with proof of exemption prior to bidding. Out of state shipments will not be taxed.Payment shall be paid in accordance with the terms announced at the beginning of the auction. BIDDERS: Once a bid is placed it can not be revoked. Placing a bid constitutes express acceptance of all terms and conditions. BUYERS PREMIUM: There is a 13% premium to onsite bidders and 18% for Proxibid bidders. A 3% discount for cash at pickup. An invoice for won items will be sent within 24 hours of auction end. Your designated credit card used during registration will be charged within 24 hours of invoicing for won items and all fees. All shipping and handling charges will be paid be buyer/winning bidder or arrangements for pick up will be made directly with A New Day Auctions. Items will be shipped and shipping charges charged to your designated credit card within 1 day after payment for items. Therefore, you may have 2 separate charges to your account. Purchases may not be removed from auction site until paid in full and to include any other fees to transfer ownership. If the preceding conditions or any applicable conditions are not complied with, in addition to other remedies available to auctioneer, and seller by law, including without limitation, the right to hold the purchaser liable for the bid price, the auctioneer at his option may (A) resell the property publicly or privately with the purchaser being liable for the payment of any deficiency plus all costs incurred, or (B) cancel the sale, retaining liquidated damages on all payments made by purchases, auctioneer commission and all other incidental damages will be charged. REVOCATION: The auctioneer reserves the right to (A) revoke any bid at any time (B) refuse any bid which is merely a fractional advance over the preceding bid (C) choice, group, add to, withdraw from or change selling order of partial/full lots (D) reopen the bidding in the event of a tie bid. The seller reserves the right to reject any all bids it deems necessary. RECORDING NOTICE: Live auctions will be recorded either with video and/or audio as a record of events.
