PLease Read Prior To Bidding

Lot # 401 (Sale Order: 1 of 154)

PLEASE READ THIS FINE PRINT ONCE. IT REMAINS THE SAME FOR ALL LOTS IN THIS AUCTION SO ONCE YOU HAVE READ IT, YOU DO NOT NEED TO READ IT AGAIN UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO. ...moreThanks. The descriptions for this auction are sometimes quite short but we have included lots of photos for each lot. Photos are more appealing than lines of text. So enlarge those photos. Proxibid has the feature so take advantage of it. Please consider the many photos as part of the description. In our descriptions we usually do not describe many of the small blemishes on items: scratches, paint chips, paint rubs, paint wear, dirt, dust, normal wear, tear and use, etc., however….when taking photos, if we saw it, it was photographed. Have a question? Need another photo? Just call or email and we will be happy to assist. (Please contact us well in advance of the auction so we can answer your question or send you additional photos. We will not be able to help you the day before or the day of the auction. We are just a tad bit busy on those days!) Please remember, we will call you for your credit card information if you are a winning bidder. We have our own credit card processor and therefore, we do not process our credit cards through Proxibid or APN even though you are required to have a credit card on file with Proxibid to register to bid. You pay the hammer price, a 15% buyer’s premium, all shipping, insurance, signature confirmation and possibly, a $5.00 handling/packing charge for each lot purchased (this packing fee is sometimes charged if we need to buy a box to fit larger items or if the item requires lots of extra bubble, tissue, peanuts, etc.) If an item that you purchase needs to be packed and shipped by a professional packer as will be indicated in the description, that company will call for your credit card information for the packing and shipping fees. We will NOT give your credit card information to the packer/shipper. They must contact you directly to get that information. We will only give them your phone number and address. See the full payment instructions for this auction for complete details. You can call 330-421-9263 or 330-635-5037 or email us at ContactUs@MastersonBrabanderAuctions.com with any questions or go through the contact us page on our website: MastersonBrabanderAuctions.com. We appreciate your business and look forward to working with you. Thank you, Robin & Barbara

Miner's Hartz Mountain Bird Foods Canary Cage With Wood Trough, 2 Beakers

Lot # 404 (Sale Order: 4 of 154)

Miner's used to carry their canaries into the mines to test for toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and methane. These were used from 1911 until about 1968 when they bega...moren using “electric noses” with a digital read out. This measures 6 1/2” long by 5” wide by 6 3/8” tall. This retains the wood trough as well as a glass beaker and ceramic beaker. The paper label on the end is mostly intact with some lifting to the edges. All of the spindles are present. Some of the spindles lift up for access to the interior. One does not quite go all the way down and we do not want to force it. 1920 Large Glass Beaded Purse or Bag, 11 1/2” Without Strap, Loop Fringe, Mirror, Coin Purse, Cards

Lot # 406 (Sale Order: 6 of 154)

This is a large bag measuring 11 1/2” tall from the top of the frame and including the 2” loop fringe. This has an Art Deco design features floral in vase over scrolls ov...moreer geometric Greek key design. The design is the same on the front and the back. The frame is of metal with cherubs with a drop pendant. The closure is a push button. The strap is a silver tone strap however inside the bag we found another strap that is beaded with the same dark blue beads as the background of the bag body. Inside there is green fabric lining with 2 ruffled pockets that hold a coin purse and a round mirror. The coin purse and the back & pull of the mirror are of the same fabric as the lining. The lining is edged with pastel pink and green rosettes with gold tone metallic thread. The frame is marked “Pat'd. July 22, 1919” and there is an oval shaped logo MRS Co. inside the oval. (The M is first then a larger R with the very small S being in the loop of the R followed by Co.) Inside, we found a gift card from a man to a woman. It appears Jim gave this to Margaret for Christmas in 1920. There is also a card from the maker or shop where it was purchased that reads: “The beads on this bag are put on by hand and the nature of this work is very fragile. We therefore, are not responsible for the beads coming off, which is very apt to happen if not carried carefully. However, they can be repaired at any time for a nominal cost. W. & R. Co. New York”. We found to be interesting; there is one white bead at the lower back edge of the bag – as pictured. There was an appraisal done by Rosalie Sayyah for the Antiques Roadshow in which she said this was a common practice among American glass bead bag makers for use as a signature. Each maker would place one white bead in a certain place on the bags they made to identify them as their work. Not sure if this is why this bead is there or not nor do we know if it is a true story – just interesting. There are some loops of fringe missing and the mirror has lost silvering. A beautiful, large bag with surprises inside and the cards! Please see all 29 photos for all of the close up details.

And if this is your birdfeeder, you'd better get up early anyway - to refill it! Now you know what's been happening to your sunflower seed between sunset and sunrise. It's the masked moonlighter. Maybe you thought the neighborhood owl had turned vegetarian? Or that your squirrels had insomnia? Or that the local starlings had started a night shift? Not so. Let that burger aroma roam around the neighborhood and you're inviting a Big Rac Attack. And can you blame them? Raccoons eat out all the time and - well, wouldn't you welcome a nice home-cooked meal now and then? But did you buy enough burger to feed this raccpack? The nature essay that was written to accompany the print and found on the Charley Harper website reads: Once upon a pristine time (before 1492) existed the magical, natural kingdom of Foreverglades. In this tropical Eden we now call Everglades lived a droll and lovable marine mammal - the ten-foot, half-ton manatee. Manatees to the max. Enter man. Man and manatee: a monstrous mismatch. Any manatees left in Florida? A few hundred, seriously endangered by their principal predator, the motorboat. Motorboats to the max. Welcome to the tragical, man-made kingdom of Nevermoreglades. This item will be packed & shipped by a third party such as FedEx, expect higher shipping costs.

Roy Rogers Chuck Wagon & Jeep By Ideal #4553, In Original Box

Lot # 426 (Sale Order: 25 of 154)

“A Wagon Full of Do-It-Yourself Fun” as the box indicates! The wagon has been assembled and we will leave it that way. The plastic wagon is 16” long and has the fold down...more table at the back. The plastic jeep is 6 1/2” long and the detachable steering wheel is present. It will be shipped in the bag with the other small pieces. The “Nellybelle” decal, as the jeep was called, is present but has come off of the jeep and will be shipped in the bag with the other small pieces. Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Pat Brady and Bullet the dog are of a rubber type material. The 2 horses that pull the wagon are made of plastic. One the tails is broken off but the piece is present and will be in the bag with the other small pieces. There is string at the front of the wagon but it is not threaded through the horses as it should be – not sure how this is suppose to go as we do not have horses. There is another horse that is brown but this one is probably not original to the set. There are several small accessories as pictured: bucket, hammer. coffee pot, lantern (broken top ring), trunk, “Gold” box (has some rough edges as pictured). There are also 2 pieces that fit together but we are not sure what these are. From the back of the box it appears to be missing the whip, triangle, rifle, pan and maybe a couple others. Some of the pieces we see on the back of the box may have gone into the construction of the wagon. Some are easily identifiable but others are not. The original box is 24” long. The box is a bit rough especially on the ends. You will find dirt, dust, etc. This was played with but not abused. The wagon cover has a small tear as pictured. We do not see any cracks in the plastic of the wagon or the jeep. A nice old toy in nice condition. We were pleasantly surprised to find many of the small pieces, all 3 people, the dog and original box. Please see the 29 pictures for all the close up details.
