Navajo GE, Bear Claw & Brach Coral Squash Blossom

For your consideration is a Navajo Native American signed Gary Edwards sterling silver, bear claw and branch coral squash blossom necklace. This extravagant squash blossom necklace features ten bear claw squash blossoms each adorned with two branch coral gemstones. Each squash blossom features a finely detailed floral sterling silver design. The Naja pendant features two additional bear claws and six branch coral gemstones as well as a highly decorated sterling silver design. Each pendant is strung onto two sterling silver beaded chains that segway into one at the clasp. Overall, the necklace shows very good condition, showing a warm silver patina, indicative of age. When unclasped and stretched out, the necklace measures 26" long. The Naja alone measures 2 3/4" wide, and 2 1/4" tall.

This gorgeous sterling silver necklace is signed by renowned Navajo artist and jewelry maker Michael Perry. His trade mark "MP" and stamped sterling are present on the backside of the large pendant. The necklace features six large sterling charms with a carved branch coral gemstone surrounded by coral nuggets cut into triangles. These charms are set around individual sterling beads. The extravagant pendant showcases a large branch coral gemstone set on an intricately worked sterling silver back with coral nuggets running down the side and additional triangle gems cut and fixed around the large coral gemstone. Each discodial gemstone is separated by a sliver of hesche shell.Spaced intermittently throughout the necklace is sterling silver to break up the chain. The signed rectangular pieces carry a traditional Navajo design. Additionally eight purple spiny oyster cylindrical gemstones compliment the lapis lazuli discodial gems. The necklace measures 21.5" from clasp to clasp.

Montana Gambler Mother of Pearl Game Chips Chinese

Featured in this lot we have a collection of 14 Montana gambler's carved mother of pearl gaming counter chips from mid 19th century China. The pieces would be used much like poker chips or other counter tokens. They where presumably brought over by the Chinese railroad workers when constructing the transcontinental railroad in the old west. Both the rectangular and circular pieces show flowers and birds with one side featuring the carved images of buildings and two Chinese individuals. The pieces are in good condition showing beautiful pearlescent color. The rectangular piece measures 1 3/4" long by 3/4" wide with the circles 1 1/4" in diameter.

Santee Sioux Beaded High-Top Moccasins c. 1880-90

The lot features an exceptional set of early Santee Sioux Native American Indian beaded moccasins dating to circa 1880-90. The moccasins show an Indian tanned hide construction with thick Great American Bison Buffalo parfleche soles sewn with sinew having a mid-height red stroud trade clothe and calico trade clothe ankle that is accented by the mid-high-top tanned hide ankle covering. The front of the moccasins shows excellent petit glass trade seed beads in greasy yellow, sky padre blue, Cheyenne pink, semi-transparent butterscotch, semi-transparent, and faceted metal. The beadwork pattern is in a wonderful traditional geometric floral combination, a style almost exclusively found on Santee Sioux and other Eastern Sioux pieces. The original hide ties are still intact, a wonderful rare addition. Provenance: From a Manheim, Pennsylvania collection. These are truly an excellent set of beaded moccasins that have been well preserved in good condition. Each shows a 10.75 inch sole and 6 inch high ankle.

Kiowa Fully Beaded Awl Case circa 1880-1890

The lot features a wonderful fully beaded awl case from the Kiowa Native American Indians and dating to the 19th Century. This circa 1880-1890's awl case shows an Indian tanned parfleche Rocky Mountain Elk Hide that is sinew sewn and shows a wonderful traditional geometric beadwork pattern in glass trade seed beads. The top flap shows four rolled tin jingle cones and the bottom shows two pieces of hide that have remnants of original porcupine quillwork. The entire surface of the case including the top flap is covered in authentic period correct glass trade seed beads in a traditional geometric pattern. The beads shown are red white hearts, sky padre blue and semi-transparent cobalt. The case would have held a carved bone awl which would have been used to pierce the thick parfleche hide used in so many of the American Indians way of life. Provenance: From a Manheim, Pennsylvania collection. Measures overall 15.5 inches long with bottom fringe and top flap extended by 1 inch wide.

Offered for sale is this wonderful authentic original Crow Native American Indian beaded belt pouch from circa 1870-1880's. The pouch is thought to have been for tobacco and would have hung from the belt or sash of the owner. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with excellent hand cut long fringe accenting the entire piece along with a bit of trade clothe at the mouth of the bag. The bag shows a tradtiional glass trade seed beaded design alogn both sides of the bag along with mineral pigment dye painted spots of red. The bag shows all period correct glass trade seed beads in sky padre blue, greasy yellow, semi-transparent, red white hearts, black, medium green and semi-transparent amber. The bag shows sinew and thread sewing and has the correct patina and signs of use indicative of its early Indian Wars era age. Provenance: From a Manheim, Pennsylvania collection. The lot features a wonderful fully beaded flat bag from the Umatila Native American Indians and dating to the 19th Century. The bag shows a a calico and wool trade clothe construction with red stroud accents having the entire front surface covered in authentic floral glass trade seed beads. The beads show an exceptional beaded design having a central floral pattern which is accented by several leaves making this more of an artwork than a large flat bag. The period correct authentic beads include a semi-transparent amber background which is framed in semi-transparent red white hearts having Cheyenne pink, medium green, sky padre blue, and blue in a floral pattern. The bag shows a large pocket which opens 1/3 of the way down the bag, an unusual and interesting design. The bag shows a nice size for its design being 11 inches tall by 8.75 inches wide. Overall the beadwork is in very fine condition with little to no bead loss. The bag itself shows some wear on the edges and a few spots on the back, but overall displays very well. Included in this lot is a collection fo Philip Goodwin offset lithographs. Philip R. Goodwin was an American painter and illustrator who specialized in depictions of wildlife, the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the Old American West. He provided illustrations for numerous books and magazines, as well as for commercial items, such as posters, advertisements and calendars. He is perhaps best known for illustrating Jack London's The Call of the Wild and for providing the cover art for many issues of Outdoor Recreation / Outdoor Life Magazine during the 1920s and early 1930s. He is also the artist who designed the Horse & Rider Trademark of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Five offset lithographs titled; "Adventures on the Nipigon, Hitting the Trail, Where the Tall Pines Grow, An Unexpected Meeting, and The Uninvited Guests" are backed with foam board and shrink wrapped. Prints measure 10.25" x 14.5".

The box shows wonderfully carved sides with the image of a dragon in clouds on the two sides and what looks a flower and clouds flanked by mountains on each of the ends. The top shows ornate carvings with two pieces of carved circular jade set into the top. The jade pieces are carved in the shape of six interconnected flowers with turquoise set around each piece of jade. The piece is in good condition overall with some wear and some of the turquoise pieces are missing. The box measures 6 1/4" long by 4 1/4" wide by 2 3/4" tall.

The pen box shows wonderfully hand painted designs of flowers and plant life with birds and butterflies amongst the flowers. The sides show a back drop of glint golden paint with the top background is a light teal. The interior of the piece is split into two sections and is a light blue or teal with faded gold accents. The piece is in good condition overall with some wear on the paint. The box measures 7 1/2" long by 3 3/4" wide by 2 1/2" tall.

Included in this lot is a Noble "Box Lock" side by side 12 gauge shotgun. This 12 gauge side by side was made in Spain and imported by Noble Mfg. Co Inc. The firearm features a walnut stock with checkered rounded pistol grip and fore grip. The hard rubber Red Head butt stock is in good condition. The 28 1/4" blue'd barrels are fully ribbed. The barrels are marked "Noble MFG Co Inc. - Haydenville Mass - Made in Spain" on the top and "12 GA 2 3/4" Chamber" on the left side. The receiver is nickel plated and has an engraving of a bird on either side. The double trigger and break action function as intended. Serial Number: AB26800. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.

Savage Model 1903 Pump Action Rifle

For your consideration is a Savage Model 1903 Pump Action Rifle. This 16" blue'd barrel .22 caliber rifle features gorgeous straight grain walnut stock with round pistol grip. The rifle is magazine fed upon the pump action. The octagonal barrel has a fixed front sight dovetailed in place and a rear sight. Barrel is marked "Manufactured by the Savage Arms Co. Utica, New York. USA." and ".22 S.L. & L.R." Serial Number: 31601. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Long Gun, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.

The Remington Model 12 is a slide-action, solid-breech, hammerless, takedown, side-ejection rifle. This gun, designed by J. D. Pederson, was introduced in 1909 and produced through 1936. During the 37-year period, there were 820,759 guns sold. The gun featured a hammerless action and competed quite successfully with the 1906 Winchester which still had an exposed hammer. The bronze clock sits on pedestal style feet on a fitted, polished granite-like base with its own brass feet. The clock is decorated with rocaille openwork featruring trailing acanthus branches and seated putti. The waist mounted cylindrical skeleton clock features brass gears with serpentine hands pointing to painted enamel Roman numerals. In the lower center is a smaller dial with Arabic numerals with a second hand. The back of the clock opens to reveal battery powered movement. Text on the movement reads, "No (0) Jewels/ Patent Pending/ Made in China." There are no other identifying markings on the clock except a 12 digit lot number on the base. The clock is in excellent aesthetic and working condition. The base measures 23" x 11" with the clock standing 26.5" tall. The clock face measures about 5.5" in diameter.
