Desirable Early Production Three Digit Serial Numbered New Haven Arms Co. Henry Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured in 1862. Matching serial number on the left side of the lower tang, barrel (recut), stock inlet, both buttplate screws, and buttplate. Only around 14,000 Henrys were manufactured in 1860-1866, and around half of them are believed to have been used by Union soldiers, mostly purchased by the men themselves, some using reenlistment bonuses. "That damned Yankee rifle that can be loaded on Sunday and fired all week" was one of the most advanced firearms of the war.

Engraved New Haven Arms Company No. 2 Navy Lever Action Pistol with Very Scarce 6 Inch Barrel

One of only 300 with the 6" barrel. Marked "PATENT FEB. 14, 1854/NEW HAVEN, CONN." The omission of the "VOLCANIC" markings indicates that the pistol was manufactured after Oliver Winchester assumed control of the Volcanic Repeating Arms Co. and reorganized it as the New Haven Arms Co. in April 1857. Floral scroll engraved receiver. "2079" on grip frame, right grip panel and lever. Includes a research letter from noted firearms author Herbert Houze that confirms its authenticity. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.

Rare Factory Engraved Winchester Model 1892 Trapper Carbine

Extremely Rare "One of Two Produced" Documented Factory Engraved Winchester Model 1892 Trapper Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine with Factory and Winchester Arms Museum Letters

Manufactured prior to December 31, 1898 and shipped in 1900. The included factory letter lists the carbine in .44 caliber with a 16 inch barrel, rifle butt, rod in butt (now absent), and $2.00 engraved (style not specified) when received at the warehouse on 9 June 1900 and shipped 14 June 1900 along with another carbine with the exact same specifications to the same order number. The Winchester Arms Museum letter states that the identical carbine was consecutively serialized to this one (142513). The Leroy Merz letter goes on to state that this consecutively serialized pair were the only two engraved Model 1892 Trapper, leaving this example possibly the only one left in existence.

Factory Engraved and Inscribed Winchester Model 1894 Rifle

Documented Factory Engraved and Inscribed Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle

Manufactured 1905. The included factory, Buffalo Bill Historical Center, and Winchester Gun Museum letters all concur on the configuration of this rifle as .30 caliber, 22 inch half octagon barrel, plain trigger, checkered pistol grip stock, #10 style engraving, and name engraved on right side: "H. Vinegas" (or "Venegas") when it was received at the warehouse 6 December 1906 and shipped 7 December 1907. The Buffalo Bill Historical Center letters go on to state that this was the only rifle discovered ordered in this specific configuration. The lower tang is marked "2107 X".

Attractive New York Engraved Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine

Manufactured in 1870 as a third model. The brass receiver features an attractive and bold New York, most likely Nimschke, floral scroll engraving. The lever, hammer, both barrel bands and the buttplate are also engraved. The barrel has the two-line Winchester legend. It has a blade front sight integral to the front barrel band, folding two leaf rear sight, saddle ring on the left side of the receiver and buttstock with a trapdoor crescent buttplate. Comes with a 3-piece cleaning rod.

Manufactured 1883. Left side of lower tang marked "XXX 465 S". The included factory letter lists rifle, express, 22 inch round barrel, plain trigger, checkered pistol grip stock, half magazine, shotgun butt, casehardened, and (unique) "Inside finish" when received at the warehouse on 19 March 1883 and shipped the next day. Also includes a letter from Winchester Restorations by Roger's outlining the extensive professional restoration.

Attractive Nickel Winchester Model 1892 Trapper Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine with Factory, Madis, and ATF Exemption Letters

Manufactured 1903. The included factory letter lists the carbine in .32 caliber with a 15 inch barrel and full nickel when received at the warehouse on 25 November 1903 and shipped on 11 December 1903. The letter from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms lists this carbine as being removed from the purview of the National Firearms Act and classified as a curio and relic. The George Madis letter confirms the configuration of the carbine. Letter lists the restoration of the carbine. Includes a hardwood case.

Republic of Mexico Winchester Model 1866 Musket

Republic of Mexico Marked Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Musket

Manufactured in 1880 as a fourth model with the serial number stamped in script on the lower tang and brass buttplate. Republic of Mexico marking on top of the barrel at the breech and right side of frame. Two barrel bands screws and magazine spring and cap are absent, rear sight is a replacement, coat of varnish applied to the wood and barrel obstructed. The receiver is also marked "137" on top, "000" on right side and "8.91" on underside. A number ("2/13?") is stamped on the right side of the stock wrist. "222" is stamped on the left side of the forearm. The Model 1866 was extremely popular on the western frontier in the post-Civil War era and typically saw extremely heavy use. Many Model 1866s were purchased by the Republic of Mexico, like this example.
