DESIRABLE M3 GREASE GUN SMG.

Lot # 1001 (Sale Order: 2 of 774)

Cal. 45 ACP. S# M300142. Bbl. 8". The M3 grease gun was first adopted by the United States military in the early 1940’s. During WWII, the general motors corp., Guide Lamp...more division, produced just under 650,000 M3 & M3-A1 grease guns. Unlike 45 ACP SMGs at the time, the grease gun was intended to be mass produced w/ very loose tolerances ensuring fit & function over multiple platforms. Guns available prior to the introduction of the grease gun, such as the Thompson SMG & Reising, were complicated & expensive to manufacture w/ several machined parts & a lot of necessary hand-fitting. The grease guns design is a simple blow back operated, open-bolt firing mechanism utilizing a tubular receiver which was far less expensive & much easier to manufacture in lg. numbers. The original M3 was cocked by utilizing a spring loaded lever mounted on right side, rear of the mag. well. The M3-A1 model, similar to this example, was simplified even more by removing the necessity of a cocking lever, substituting a slot cut into the bolt & operated by the finger of the shooter to perform the same task. This particular example is a transferable SMG mfg. by Fleming Firearms on what appears to be a Broadhead design. All exposed metal surfaces are parkerized. The dust cover, as w/ the originals, serves two purposes: one, as the name indicates is to keep foreign debris from entering the ejection port w/ the secondary purpose of proving a sort of safety by means of obstructing the bolt from closing when in use. Front sight is fixed, exposed blade. Rear sight is a nonadj. peep. 2-Position telescoping wire buttstock. Left side markings include “M3C, M300142” & what appears to be an earlier “Broadhead” marking that was very shallow & mostly illegible. Right side markings include what appears to be an original Guide Lamp number on dust cover “GL B 7161922”. Mag. well is marked “HT ARMORY P / SMYRNA GA”. MAGS: 5-30 rds. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cobray mag. loading tool. CONDITION: overall exterior finish is parkerizing w/ complete coverage & gently patinaed as is typical w/ these guns. Bolt travel is smooth properly engages dust cover mechanism. Collapsible stock works smoothly & locks correctly in every position. Shiny bore w/ visible rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1492/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $6,500-8,500.

EXTREMELY DESIRABLE RAMO 1919 MG SYSTEM.

Lot # 1002 (Sale Order: 3 of 774)

Cal. 30. S# 600176. Bbl. 24". Mfg. by RAMO. The 1919 is one of the most iconic ground & vehicle mounted machine guns in U.S. Military history. W/ such a long range of ser...morevice, from the early 1920’s through Vietnam, video footage as well as Hollywood films have featured this weapon system in countless reels. Originally it was intended to be the “go-to” Browning design tank gun in WW1, though it was introduced a little too late. It utilizes a heavier bbl. than its water-cooled predecessor & traded the massive water jacket for a much slimmer slotted bbl. shroud for air cooling. The 1919A4 is one of the most commonly encountered & was originally issued in both a fixed & flexible platform. The fixed gun was often used on WW2 vehicles, while the flexible had a focus as an infantry company level machine gun. Numerous mounting options were available, including several tripod variants, pedestal mounts & even an A6 variation, which utilized a bipod & shoulder stock, w/ the intention of making it more user friendly. Today, these guns are highly sought-after by recreational shooters & reenactors. They saw such a long period of service that spare parts are fairly readily available. This specific offering is comprised of an original part set & is assembled on a RAMO sideplate. Although originally papered as a M1919A4 configuration, there are parts for numerous designs. Currently on the taller M1917A1 tripod, w/ spade grips & precision elevation mechanism, which is a favorite among recreational shooters. Black parkerized finish on all exposed surfaces. Flip up blade style front sight & flip up rear sight w/ adj. peep for windage & elevation up to 2400 yds. Currently chambered in 30-06. Also included is a low profile M2 military tripod w/ T&E mechanism, an A6 bbl. shroud w/ carry handle & bipod, buttstock as well as several other sm. parts & accessories for maintenance/repair. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: M2 tripod mfg. by Appliance dated 1944, spare T&E mechanism, A6 shoulder stock, A6 bbl. shroud w/ bipod, booster & carry handle, Model 1918 belt filling machine, 9 250 rd. cloth belts, muzzle boosters, pistol grip, top cover bolt charging handle & early wood ammo crate. CONDITION: all exposed metal parts enjoy a complete parkerized coverage w/ the exception of the bbl. jacket which has worn very thin. Both tripods extend & lock smoothly. 1917 Tripod cradle moves fluidly, as does precision elevation mechanism. Spade grips appear free of any obvious structural damage exhibiting only thinning & typical impressions. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1491/JZ). CURIO CLASS III. $6,500-9,500.

EARLY ORIGINAL GUIDE LAMP M3 GREASE GUN.

Lot # 1003 (Sale Order: 4 of 774)

Cal. 45 ACP. S# 160231. Bbl. 8". The M3 grease gun was first adopted by the United States military in the early 1940’s. The dust cover is lined w/ a felt material & serves two purposes: one, as the name indicates is to keep foreign debris from entering the ejection port w/ the secondary purpose of proving a sort of safety by means of obstructing the bolt from closing when in use. Sights are original style, welded front blade & fixed rear peep. Collapsible stock utilizes a mag. loading tool in what would later become the standard stock for the M3-A1. Left side markings of mag. well “SUB-MACH GUN / CAL 45 M3 / Guide (partially obstructed by mag. release) / US Ordinance mark / US NO 160231”. MAGS: 1-30 rd. steel. CONDITION: overall exterior finish is the correct patinaed parkerizing w/ only a few shiny areas where mechanical intervention takes place. Marks primarily behind the right side charging lever & on the left side coinciding w/ the charging lever retaining pin. Cocking mechanism works smooth & fluid & top cover properly restricts bolt from closing when cocked. bbl. Locking pin engages bbl. nut fittingly. Collapsible stock remains tight in both open & closed positions. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. Bore is shiny w/ good rifling. SCARCE & ENVIABLE JOHNSON ARMS M1941 LMG.

Lot # 1004 (Sale Order: 5 of 774)

Cal. 30-06. S# 0068. Bbl. 22". This hard fought contender for United States Military acceptance is as rare as it is desirable. Chambered in 30-06 & mag. fed from the left...more side, it utilizes an integral hinged dust cover which doubled as an access point for stripper clip loading. Though we haven’t been able to confirm, this gun has all of the tell tale signs of having been previously housed in the Winchester Museum, including the W 120 tag on the left side of receiver. This unique mechanism fired from a closed bolt when semi-auto was selected & from an open bolt w/ the selection of full auto. This accomplished two things: w/ out the movement & mass of the bolt during aimed single shots, accuracy is greatly improved while retaining the safety that an open bolt mechanism provides during sustained full auto fire. The bbl. which is terminated w/ a unique fixed front sight blade measuring almost 3" in height, is also encompassed by over 7" of perforation from the unique shroud, the Lyman rear sight is micro adj. for windage & elevation up to 1,000 yards. The left hand horizontal position of the mag. is a recognizable trait of the 1941, almost equivalent to the irregularly short stocks, both front & rear. Exposed metal surfaces are parkerized, stocks & pistol grip panels are a red tinted hardwood. Rear sling swivel attaches to bottom of shoulder stock while front sling swivel connects to bbl. shroud mechanism. Markings on top of receiver (to the right of U.S. patent block) read from right side include “LIGHT MACHINE GUN / “JOHNSON AUTOMATICS” / CAL. 30-06 MODEL OF 1941 / MADE IN PROVIDENCE. R. L. U.S.A. / 0068”. MAGS: 1-25 rd. CONDITION: parkerized finish on all exposed metal components remains complete. Wooden furniture including forend, grip panels & shoulder stock illustrate light dings & impressions typical of armory guns. Fire control group appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. Bore is clean w/ strong rifling. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1483/JZ). CURIO CLASS III. $30,000-50,000.

MEXICAN JOHNSON MODEL 1941 SEMIAUTO RIFLE IN LMG

Lot # 1005 (Sale Order: 6 of 774)

CONFIGURATION. Cal. 7x57mm. S# 00052. Bbl. 22”. An extremely interesting & unusual Johnson semiautomatic rifle. Significant prior research has been interesting in determi...morening the pedigree of this gun. According to the records of a previous owner, sold in estate, over a decade ago, it was believed to be an experimental model; a cross between the standard Model 1941 Semiautomatic rifle & the Model 1941 light machine gun. Some of the other rare Johnson models included in that specific estate auction were once housed in the Winchester Museum & it is possible that this was yet another example although we have not come into possession of any specific documentation to confirm it. It is also possible that it was a non factory assembled rifle built from a modified JSAR receiver w/ an LMG lower, as a few others that have been spotted around the country. Marked “Ejercito Mexicano / 00052” on the top of the receiver & “Systema Johnson / Model 1941 Calibre 7mm / Fabrica de Armas / Provenance R.I., USA” on the right side of the receiver above the pistol grip. Triangle “CRANSTON ARMS CO” below Dutch acceptance mark on upper receiver between bolt & stock on right side. There is a circular perforated bbl. shroud similar to the Model 1941 LMG. The bbl. & sight system appear to be correct for the LMG family. The markings on the bbl. portion that intersect w/ perforated bbl. shroud reads “30-36” in the 12 o’clock position above the bbl. & “41” at the 6 o’clock position below the bbl. Folding, extendable bipod below bbl. in front of fore arm. There is a dust cover on the right side of the receiver, directly opposite the mag.-well, for charging the mag. w/o removing it from the firearm. Wood forearm, pistol grip & shoulder stock. The shoulder stock has a metal buttplate & is also very similar to the model 1941 LMG. Sling swivel on front under forward section of bbl. shroud & rear sling swivel at toe portion of rear stock. MAGS: 1-25 rd. steel. CONDITION: the metal has retained the vast majority of the original parkerized finish, good bore w/ strong rifling, the wood is typical of issued military firearms that while it appears to retain its structural integrity it is stained & dented from armory storage & transport; rear stock on left side includes the number “18” stamped approx. 1/2x1/2”, fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (20-884/JZ). MODERN. $8,000-12,000.

EXTREMELY EARLY RUGER AC-556 FACTORY MG.

Lot # 1011 (Sale Order: 12 of 774)

Cal. 223. S# 190-07591. Bbl. 18.5". The Ruger AC-556 was a fully automatic offering w/ its earliest lineage dating back to the early 1970’s. With most outward appearance ...morevery close to that of the popular mini-14, it could be easy to overlook at distance. The AC-556 has three different modes of fire, allowing the operator to choose between semi-auto, 3-shot burst & fully automatic. The selector lever on a typical AC556 functions by depressing a button before moving selector. This particular variant has a unique selector switch that requires downward & outward force be placed in order to utilize. While the safety remained in the same position as the mini-14, forward of the trigger guard, the selector switch was positioned on the right rear portion of the receiver. In its forward position the rifle was a standard self-loading design very much like the mini-14. w/ the selector in the center position, three shots are fired by depressing the trigger. In the rearward position the rifle will continue to shoot as long as the trigger is depressed & fed by a loaded mag. Early style receiver w/ exposed bolt hold-open hardware. The portion of the bolt that interacts w/ the charging handle utilizes a roller bearing which was only used on the earliest guns. Matte blued finish on all exposed metal surfaces of receiver & bbl. We feel it is important to point out that the finish on the trigger group is a polished blue which is unusual. Hardwood stock is actually walnut & not birch, as is typical w/ these rifles. Early wood hand-guard. Fixed blade front sight & rear sight is adj. peep. Sling swivels at 6 o’clock w/ rear below stock & front below gas block. Left side receiver markings include “Sturm, Ruger & Co., inc. / Southport, Conn. U.S.A.” below S#. Rear of receiver, behind sight, marked “Ruger / AC-556 / Cal. .223”. This rifle predates any known AC556 according to the materials in our library. MAGS: 1 original Ruger 30 rd. marked “Ruger / Mini-14”. CONDITION: typical of AC-556/Mini-14 rifles of this era the stock, though void of any significant damage, possesses numerous light impressions & sm. scratches typically encountered in storage. The rear of the stock sits proud of the metal buttplate. Metal finish is complete & typical of light usage illustrating the majority of wear at mechanical intersections. The last rd. bolt hold-open device isn’t functioning correctly, appearing to be frozen. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. Decent bore w/ good rifling. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1464/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $7,000-11,000.

SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M14 ROCK ISLAND CONVERSION

Lot # 1012 (Sale Order: 13 of 774)

RIFLE. Cal. 308. S# 25119. Bbl. 22". The M14 was developed through a series of testing with an overly ambitious set of requirements. Its earliest roots can be traced to a...more post WWII study by the “Army Ground Forces Equipment Review Board” w/ the lofty goal of replacing the M1 Garand, the M1918A2 BAR & any currently used sniper rifles. Making things even more difficult, the requirement was even altered to include use that typically called for Carbine & SMG. After extensive testing & numerous design alterations/adaptations, the US Rifle, 7.62 mm, M14 was adopted on May 1st 1957. Shortly after the US Army Infantry Board issued requirements for this new Wonder Rifle to address three specific areas, including accuracy enhancement & reduction of recoil & muzzle climb. After several improvements & exhaustive amount of testing, in the end it was determined that this system was simply too light to be utilized as a suitable replacement for the BAR. This particular rifle stated life as a Springfield Armory semi-auto M1A then was later converted to its current M14 configuration by Rock Island Armory. All exposed metal surfaces are finished in a deep rich parkerizing. Bbl. is terminated w/ traditional flash hider/muzzle break, including bayonet lug & protected blade front sight. GROUP INDUSTRIES UZI SMG.

Lot # 1013 (Sale Order: 14 of 774)

Cal. 9mm. S# 100697. Bbl. 10.2". Model HR4332 is one of the most sought after Uzi Platforms on the market. These guns were purpose built as machine guns w/ proper heat tr...moreeating & available in several calibers. While they are often stamped in multiple calibers, the vast majority were offered in 9mm parabellum. The original Uzi SMG is an open bolt, select fire mechanism that is light years ahead of its technology when it comes to use, it can be utilized in its collapsed, concealable configuration, yet takes only moments to extent the rear stock w/ a simple slap of the control hand pulling it into its extended position. The Uzi bbl. only appears to be a couple inches in length which greatly minimizes its signature for use in tight quarters, but because of the ingenious design it actually extends back inside of the bolt giving the operator over 10 inches of rifled bbl. to increase hit probability immensely. Its ratcheting top cover is an important safety factor when utilizing an open bolt mechanism. Those that are familiar w/ the 1911 family of firearms will appreciate the grip safety integrated into the mechanism. This particular example has green plastic furniture. Bottom front mounted bayonet lug. Sling swivels on left side of receiver & stock. Elevation adjustable protected post front sight. Dual aperture rear sight. Left side markings “A-R-S” above safety/selector. Left rear receiver markings “HR4332 / 9MM/45 ACP/22 / Group IND (inside target logo) / LOU KY 40214”. Right side receiver markings include S# “100697”. MAGS: 3-25 rd. parkerized stick mags. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: cleaning rod, sling assembly, spare recoil spring mechanism. CONDITION: all exposed metal surfaces are black parkerized in what appears to be factory finish, top cover has earned patina that’s been brought under control, bbl. & bbl. nut are heavily patinaed in 12 o’clock area indicative of collected moisture during storage, stock locks tight & positive in both open & closed position, fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand, shiny bore w/ strong rifling. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1463/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $10,000-15,000.

FULLY TRANSFERRABLE M1917A1 BROWNING MG.

Lot # 1015 (Sale Order: 16 of 774)

Cal. 30-06. S# 310216. Bbl. 24". The 1917A1 water cooled MG is an iconic part of any WWI through Korean War scenery as viewed from the lens of a war photographer; In movi...morees & in photographs, the 1917 could be seen mounted on vehicles or ground mounts. The 1917 was an evolution of John Browning’s original design that would continue to be improved upon & have lineage into firearms that are still in use today such as the M2HB. The original 1917, through its heavy use, illustrated few weaknesses which were addressed in the M1917A1 & included the fitting of a new lower plate, an upgraded belt feed lever, an improved top cover latch assembly plus an updated, graduated leaf sight that would be suitable for the M1906 ball ammo. As additional data was collected, especially during heavy use in WWII, there were several further upgrades that continued the evolution to the M1917A1 (including sight modification for the later .30 M2 ball ammunition). This example was mfg. by Rock Island Arsenal & later registered by Douglas Oefinger; a well known title II firearms manufacturer. All external metal components are parkerized & the steel water jacket w/ brass endcaps has been finished to perfectly match receiver. Spade grips are also parkerized w/ attractive hardwood handles. Rear sight graduated ladder/peep w/ microadj. to 2600 yds. Front sight is hooded blade. An important M1917A1 modification was that the top cover incorporates a detent where it could be held in the open position w/ out manual support & is correct on this particular example. Threaded water plugs on bbl. jacket are present & functional, as well as front lower cork assembly. It sits upon a 1917A1 tripod w/ cradle assembly, fully adj. for traverse & elevation. Markings on right side plate include “No. 310216 U.S. INSP w/ Ordnance department proof mark (cross cannons) F.K. / BROWNING MACHINE GUN / U.S. CAL. .30 M1917A1 / MANFD. BY ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL / PATENT 1,621,476 / DOUGLAS L. OEFINGER STAMFORD CT U.S.A.”. Brass data plate on rear tripod leg reads “NO. 276111”, however aging has affected the clarity of the number itself. It continues “MOUNT, TRIPOD / M1917A1 / LAMSON, 1942 / R.L.B.”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 steam hoses w/ correct coupling. 1 Approx. 6’ in length, the other approx. 3’. Steel water can stenciled “CHEST, WATER, MI”. Appropriate wood ammo crate, suitable for cradle mounting length of belted, expended blanks for display. CONDITION: It appears this firearm spent most of its time as a static display piece; to reinforce this theory, there is a small pin that engages the trigger while utilizing the spade grips which has been removed rendering it inoperable. It has very few normal handling or wear marks & the finish is complete plus consistent throughout. Hardwood grips have few normal impressions & grain irregularities, though no apparent structural issues. Tripod painted an O.D. Green variant w/ all areas displaying numbers cleaned or highlighted. All aspects of tripod including microadj. in T&E are smooth & tight. Paint coverage is complete; the majority of any thinning is in areas of mechanical intervention. Leather strap still present at data plate. Fire control mechanism appears to function properly when cycled by hand, though the spade grip trigger pin is absent & must be replaced in order to fire with the spade grips. Bore is shiny w/ strong rifling. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1466/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $7,000-11,000.

Cal. 308. S# A047627. Bbl. 17.7". The HK21 is often thought the pinnacle of a serious HK collection. A heavy bbl. MG w/ quick change capability; this belt fed masterpiece...more is as uncommon as it is desirable. Starting life as a registered receiver HKG3, originally converted by Fleming Firearms, this example has undergone the tedious and exhausting transformation at Vollmer mfg. into the highly coveted HK21. All external metal surfaces are parkerized & furniture is dark, jungle green. Quick change bbl. is terminated w/ the factory flash hider. The bipod mechanism can be utilized either on the muzzle end in a traditional fashion or just forward of the receiver where corresponding slots exist for both. Traditional hooded front post sight & 1200m rear peep sight. Trigger group is housed in a metal SEF lower. FLEMING FIREARMS REGISTERED RECIEVER HK-51 A3.

Lot # 1017 (Sale Order: 18 of 774)

Cal. 308. S# A047787. Bbl. 8.9". The HK-51 is the fire-breathing, decibel-increasing, earth-shaking older brother that the MP5 never wanted in the first place. At first g...morelance the HK-51 appears to be an 9mm MP5 SMG, w/ something just a little off. Proportionately everything is the same. The fat triangular handguard & the meat tenderizer A3, collapsible buttstock looks correct but subtle differences such as the placement of two pins at the rear of the trigger group & a mag. well that just doesn't look right. Even though the HK-51 delivers a thunderous amount of energy, the up-scaled roller locking mechanism, similar to that used in the G3, tame this beast, if only for the shooter. Protected post front sight & drum style, four position rear sight. FABIAN BROS. / DTA MIL BRAKE in place of traditional flash hider. Navy style 0-1-20 faux pinned/clip-on trigger group. HK standard painted exposed metal surfaces. Paddle mag. release. Left side markings on mag. well include “HK-51 A047787 / Cal. .308 / German Definitive Proof Eagle over N, IB date code & Ulm proof antler”. Right side mag. well stampings include “Made in Germany / HK Inc. / Arl. Va 22201”. MAGS: 1-30 rd. G3 CONDITION: from the emulation of factory finish to the lack of normal wear by all outward appearances, this gun appears as new. There is the slightest hint of metallic discoloration around the small gas holes in the 1 o’clock position of the DTA MIL Brake but this Consultant still isn’t convinced this firearm has ever seen use. Everything locks tightly, fits correctly & if it has been test fired it was immediately & properly cleaned. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. Shiny & crisp bore. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1467/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $16,000-20,000.

The HK-53, the 5.56 older brother ...morethat the MP5 never wanted in the first place, is obnoxious, loud & unsettling to all but its operator. This evolution of the roller locked short rifles is tame & manageable, making it easy to put hits on target while commanding attention at the same time. Factory matching black paint finish on all exposed metal surfaces. Hooded post front sight w/ drum style four position rear sight. Wide forend A2, full length stock. Metal 0-1-A clip-on lower. Standard A-2 style flash hider. Left side markings on mag. well include “HK-53 A126851 / Cal. .223 / German Definitive Proof Eagle over N, IB date code & Ulm proof antler”. S&S ARMS AMERICAN 180 SMG.

Lot # 1019 (Sale Order: 20 of 774)

Cal. 22 LR. S# X024. Bbl. 16.5". Originally mfg. & imported from Austria, the earliest American 180 variants were classified as Dealer Samples due to the inability to imp...moreort transferable machine guns after 1968. E&L mfg. started building a version in the United States & since they were domestic in mfg., these were fully transferable firearms. Research has indicated that approx. 24 examples were mfg. & registered by S&S Arms. It’s interesting to note that this particular gun bears the S# X024, possibly being the last firearm produced. The American 180 is an open bolt, select fire 22 LR buzz saw that feeds from a 176 rd., 3 tiered drum. The cyclic rate is often rumored to be in excess of 2000 RPM & a single burst in a full mag. is completed in only 7 seconds. The sound is as unique as its appearance, compared more to that of a chainsaw than a firearm because of the excessive cyclic rate. The bbl. is finned in a similar style to that of the legendary Thompson w/ a protected blade front sight & an adj. peep rear sight. The forend, pistol grip & shoulder stock are a brown plastic designed to imitate wood aesthetics. Pistol grip is checkered w/ finger grooves. Finish on all exposed metal parts w/ the exception of the natural finished aluminum receiver, is blued or black paint. Left side non reciprocating charging handle. Safety is located on the right side of the receiver. The selector is a cross slide pin. When pushed from left to right, full auto is selected & will continue to fire as long as trigger is held to the rear. When the pin is pushed in from the right, it is an open bolt semi auto action. The unique drum, w/ winding assembly is mounted on the top, above the chamber, forward of the trigger. The ejection port is below the firearm forward of the trigger. Receiver marked on left side w/ name of previous owner tastefully engraved just above ejection port. Right rear markings are "AMERICAN 180" over "X024". Right side receiver markings include "S&S" logo & "S&S ARMS CO."/ "ALBUQUERQUE, NM"/ "U.S.A.". Bbl. marked on top w/ 2 indistinguishable marks, "73" & "AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL CORP"/ "SLC. UTAH USA"/ "A001881". Top of bbl. just rear of front sight marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA". Removable rear stock locks w/ a single pushbutton to the rear of the receiver similar to that of a Thompson SMG. Sling swivels front & rear on left side. MAGS: 2-176 rd. drums w/ 1 winder. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 1 early Aimpoint original red dot sight. Function can’t be confirmed as an old battery appears to be lodged in the carriage. 1 Weaver 63B mount. Original Styrofoam packaging. CONDITION: original finish enjoys full coverage on exposed metal surfaces. No major visible flaws of any type. The only evidence of any use is a minute amount of powder fouling in the feed area. Plastic furniture exhibits only light handling marks, however the rear portion of the shoulder stock leans more towards a matte finish. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand, though a proper modern cleaning may be in order. Both drums appear to have seen little use & both rotate freely. NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT SMG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1486/JZ). MODERN CLASS III. $6,000-9,000.
