Framed US Army 1st Engineer Brigade swallow-tail Flag, challenge coins, Captain bars and unit DI in very good condition. This shadowbox is named to the Commander and measures 31"X 40".

Lot # 2 (Sale Order: 3 of 78)
Although credited with over 60 aerial victories, Japan's most famous fighter ace Ensign Saburo Sakai, IJN took greatest pride in never losing a wingman. Completing flight training in 1937, he saw combat in China, the Philippines, and the Southwest Pacific. On 7 August 1942, he was wounded by SBD fire and barely made it back to base. He recovered to train other Japanese pilots and to fight again at Iwo Jima and over Tokyo. Here Sakai is depicted in one of the many Mitsubishi Type Zero carrier fighters, it's markings representative of those if the Tainan Kokutai during much of 1942. Sakai flew these aircraft to great success throughout the Pacific war.
Print is double matted and framed, it is 33"x 16" and it is in very good/excellent condition.

Lt. Robin Olds and his wingman, Lt. Harold F. "Bud" Grenning, roar over beachhead bluffs in a turn back out to sea. Flying air cover in their P-38 Lightning for the Allied Fleet and D-Day invasion force, pilots of the 434th Fighter Squadron, 479th Fighter Group, were to protect the sea and beaches from Luftwaffe attacks. Flying through the intense exchange of Allied and German ground fire, the pilots passed over waves of landing craft and the deadly chaos of the invasion beaches. They had front row seats to an incredible panorama of destruction.
Signed by the artist and numbered, 1000 Limited editions originally sold at $145, double matted and framing cost $160, 27" x 14"

John Singleton Mosby the "Gray Ghost," was a Confederate cavalry battalion commander in the American Civil War. His command, the 43rd Battalion, 1st Virginia Cavalry, known as Mosby's Raiders, was noted for its lightning quick raids, partisan or ranger-like tactics and his ability to successfully elude his Union Army pursuers and disappear with his men, blending in with local farmers and townspeople.
Nicely framed, double matted, signed, numbered, limited edition art print, limited to only 1,000 prints in the edition. This print has been long ago SOLD OUT, having originaly sold for $125. In near mint condition measuring 23" x 29".

Focke-Wulf 190 Fighters climb out over Theville to intercept B-17 Fortresses en-route to bomb submarine pens at Lorient. Signatures include: Heinz Lange, Fritz Losigkeit, Gunther Schack and Hugo Broch.
This single matted framed prints was signed by the artist and numbered (1250 Limited Editions), originally sold for $285 (now sold out - prices are now double that), image size is 26 1/4" x 17 1/4" and it is in very good/excellent condition.
Framed "Stonewall" Print by Don Stivers

As enigmatic as he was brilliant in battle, the man his students at V.M.I. called "Tom Fool" Jackson, became the legend we call "Stonewall."
Framed triple matted signed limited edition print numbered of 1000, image size of 18" x 24", produced in 1985. It is in excellent condition with a retail price of $400 and $250 cost of framing.
Framed "Stuka" Print by Robert Taylor (Ju87)

The Stuka when dressed for war was an awesome spectacle. Robert Taylor's outstanding painting show's a formation of JU87s bombed up and fitted with long range tanks heading out on a shipping strike over the Mediterranean in 1941. Following its success in the Polish and French 'Blitzkrieg' campaigns, the Stuka was seen by the German High Command as the supreme new weapon to succeed long range artillery. With its banshee-like wailing siren the Stuka pilots would deliver destruction from the skies and create a devastating psychological effect upon all those below. The bomber signatures include: Helmut FICKEL, Franz KIESLICH, Kurt KUHLMEY and Hans-Karl STEPP.
Print is signed by the artist and numbered (1250 Limited Editions originally at $285 - long sold out and double that now), single matted and framed ($165) with an image size of "x " in very good to excellent condition.

The pride of the German Navy, this magnificent battleship attracted the full wrath of the Royal Navy when, by brilliant gunnery, she sank the Hood. Within three days she was herself sunk by the Home Fleet with the loss of all but 110 of her crew. Signed limited edition of 1500 prints, 20"x 24", signed by survivor Baron Mullenheim-Rechberg (Gunnery Officer) and artist Robert Taylor sold out edition nicely framed.

General Nathan Bedford Forrest by famed artist Michael Gnatek, Jr. in very good condition nicely matted and framed. Nathan Bedford Forrest was a lieutenant general in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. He enlisted as a private and was be promoted to general officer and division commander by the end of the war. Although Forrest lacked formal military education, he had a gift for strategy and tactics. He created and established new doctrines for mobile forces, earning the nickname The Wizard of the Saddle. This is one of 1,000 Signed Prints, artist signed, 21" x 28" with bright, vivid colors.

German Luftwaffe I./JG 300 Fw190A "Sturmbock" duels point blank with gunners of the 303rd Bomb Group B-17s on 15 August 1944. In demonstrating the tragedy of the air war over Europe in World War II, this painting shows a Focke Wulf 190 armed with 30mm cannon, face to face with the 50 cal. machine guns of the tail gunner of mortally wounded B-17G 44-6291 of the low squadron of the 8th Air Force 303rd Bomb Group on 15 August 1944. The 303rd Bomb Group lost nine B-17 bombers with nine men in each aircraft in a little under two minutes in this duel at 25,000 feet over Germany. The print is signed by the artist and numbered one of 850 editions The print is 18" x 35" and triple matted and framed. Cutouts in the matte show patches of the 8th Air Force and JG300 and is named to Oberleutnant Klaus Bretschneider (Knights Cross & Gold German Cross recipient).

On the grounds of the Lutheran Seminary west of Gettysburg, late on July 1, 1863, Gen. Robert E. Lee listens to Liet. Gen. James Longstreet’s arguments for a move away form Gettysburg. Lee’s mind, however, was made up. Gesturing emphatically, he stated, "If the enemy is there tomorrow, we must attack him." Limited edition of 950, image size: 16" x 25", introduced in 1993 and now sold out. Originally priced at $300, it is now valued at $660+. Nicely framed with triple matting and a cut-out for a bullion CSA General's collar rank insignia.

This Dale Gallon Civil War print honors Mrs. Louis T. Wigfall, wife of the 1st Texas Regiment’s Colonel, who in a sacrifice purely Victorian, gave her wedding dress to be made into a Lone Star Flag for the Regiment. It is a limited edition print of 950 with an image size of 15 1/2" x 23 3/4". Published in 1989, it sells on the secondary market for over $450. Is nicely displayed in a high quality frame with double matting (itself a $200 value).
USS Cleveland (LPD-7) Original Oil Painting

And original oil painting of the USS Cleveland (LPD-7), during her deployment to Vietnam in 1968. Given to her first Commanding Officer CAPT. R.A. Hogsed, she served all through the Tet Offensive. The painting was done by artist "Steinback".

Senior Luftwaffe Jagdwaffe officers who no longer command units due to extreme losses - highly decorated expert fighter pilots - fly together in the final hours of the war in the top notch ME-262 jet fighter.
Signed by Lt. General Adolf Galland, Lt General Count Krupinski, and General Macky Steinhoff and well as the artist, it is a limited edition print measuring 25" X 16". Triple matted and framed, it has cut-outs for a set of bullion Luftwaffe General collar tabs and an engraved plate with the total kills of these top aces.

Fw190 A-7 flown by Major Heinz Bar (pronounced bear) of the 5th Staffel, JG 1 in April 1944. At the end of the war, Bar had 220 victories to his credit. After surviving six years of combat and being shot down more than a dozen times, the likable Bar was killed in an automobile accident after the war. This print is one of 1250 limited edition lithographes measuring 22" x 18". It is framed and matted with an engraved plate listing Bars victories and a Luft Eagle.

At the beginning of the Gettysburg Battle, General John Buford and his dismounted troopers are holding A. P. Hill’s Corps on the morning of the 1st of July, 1863. A limited edition print of 1863 total, it measures 10 1/2" x 15 3/4" and was published in 1988. In the secondary market now, this print is triple matted and nicely framed.
