Our next auction will contain our normal amount of rock & roll and travel posters in addition to 40-50 lots featuring vintage toys. The auction will also have plenty of great advertising pieces.

R. Crumb's Comics and Stories April 1964 Number One
Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 1 of 275)
This lot is for R. Crumb's Comics and Stories April 1964 Number One with a 35 cent price and copyright 1969 on the inside cover. This was considered to be an Underground comix which are often socially relevant or satirical in nature. It is by Robert Crumb and published by Rip off Press. They also printed some of the San Francisco Bay area concert posters of the sixties. It has the hard textured cover 8 7/16" x 5 5/8" and features a complete ten page story plus cover. It is in excellent condition with little sign of use or wear. We are uncertain of which printing this is and have not shown all of the pages.
2 Unused Felix the Cat Coloring Books

Here are 2 Felix the Cat coloring books published in 1959 by Saalfield and copyrighted by King Features Syndicate. The blue book is a little thicker - more pages - than the red one. In like new condition, no bends, creases, stains or coloring. Measures 8" x 10".
Three Red Line Hot Wheels

Lot of three Mattel Hot Wheels. All are red lines and includes: an Aqua Mutt Mobile, Orange Sir Rodney Roadster and a Blue Paddy Wagon. They are part of a small group of vintage Hot Wheels we are selling in this auction. They are all used so please check the pictures.
Tom's Store Counter Jar

This is an original counter jar that held 5¢ bags of Tom's Peanuts. It is in new condition - no chips, cracks, etc. The consigner bought a case of these years ago and just found them in his barn recently. Great Country Store/General Store piece. Measures 7 1/2" in diameter and 10" tall.
36th Annual Convention "Master Brewer's Association of America" Mug / Can
Lot # 5 (Sale Order: 5 of 275)
Here is a neat 12 ounce beer mug from the 36th Annual Convention of Master Brewer's Association of America, held in San Francisco, California. The can is marked - Trademark Am Can Co. "Keglined". It stands approx 4 3/4" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter and is in excellent condition with a great shine to the copper foil like label.
Whiskey Tip Tray

This is a tip tray for Hyroler Whiskey by the Louis J. Adler & Co. distillery in Pittsburgh, PA. The tray is in excellent condition with only a few light scratches which can be seen only in reflected light. Measures 4 1/4" in diameter.
JETEX Jet Propelled Racing Car 1950s

This auction is for an original Jetex Jet Racing car with box and accessories. It includes the original Car complete with Rocket Engine, box, papers, fuel tablet (only one - probably inert by now), and what might be wicks in the little round metal cans (sealed with tape, not opened). The car is in great condition with no damage other then the steering wheel is missing. The box has plenty of wear and tear as everything here has been played with. The car is approx 6" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2".
1966 Red Mustang Dealer Promo

For auction is a 1966 Mustang Hardtop it is a dealer promo car made by AMT. The red is bright and the wheels and tires are in great shape, there are no chips or cracks and the windows are clear. The "chrome" bumpers have dulled from age. Approx size is 7 1/4" x 2 5/8". Overall a nice 45 year old dealer promo.
Four "Elsie" the Cow Sundae Dishes

Here are four ice cream sundae dishes with a fired on decal of Elsie. Each decal is in excellent condition and each one comes with a wooden spoons wrapped in paper with Elsie's picture on them. There are no chips or cracks. A nice set for a soda fountain or Elsie collection. Measures 3 1/2" in diameter by 4" tall.
1955 Regal Pale Beer Poster

This poster is dated 1955 and is from Regal Pale Brewing Company of San Francisco, California. It features a cartoon like character of there 1950s flat top beer can as a skier. It has their advertising "One of America's 2 Great Beers" when asked what that means we were told that the other great beer would be anything else. The sign / poster is approx 37" x 16 1/2" there are a couple of edge nicks, something for the skier who has everything!
Grand Funk Concert Poster - Portland, Oregon - 1974

This poster is for a concert held in Portland, Oregon at the Memorial Coliseum on Saturday June 22, 1974. Headlining this concert was Grand Funk Railroad with Wet Willie. This poster is used and looks to be in great condition with no pinholes or tape. This concert was held in a small venue so few of the posters were produced, making this a desirable poster. Size is approx 14" x 22".
3 Unopened Medicine Boxes

Here are some N.O.S. cold medicine from a drug store in Roseburg, Oregon which closed in the late 1950s. The two boxes of Penslar Pine Needle and Eucalyptus Balm Compound come in a beautiful cobalt bottle. The nose drops are in a deep green bottle and comes with a stopper. A must have for any drug store collector or just for your medicine cabinet. Measures from 2 3/4" sq. x 3 1/2" tall and 2 1/4" sq. x 3" tall.
Five Pieces of Unopened DeWitt's Medicine

Here are five different packages of medicine from the same drug store that closed in Roseburg, Oregon. See description #12 for further details. The pieces are as follows: one bottle in the original box, one free sample box, one paper rolled package of pills and two are tin litho tins. None have ever been opened and are being sold for display only. A must for a drug store collector.

WWII Bond Poster by Norman Rockwell

This "Buy Victory Bonds" poster was taken from the Saturday Evening Post cover painting by Normal Rockwell. It is called "Hasten the Homecoming." For more information read the description on lot #53 as to origin of the posters. Approx. size 20" x 28".
Southwestern Indian / Prehistoric Casa Grande Pottery - Large

This is the first of several pieces of Prehistoric pottery we will have in this auction. They are all from the same estate and are old authentic ancient pottery. This piece is a large Prehistoric Casa Grande Southwestern Pottery Jar/ Pot, circa 1200-1400 A.D., round bottom and flared rim, decorated with black and red-brown geometric designs. This has been restored from several large pieces, which is noticeable. It shows surface wear, some mineral-type deposits, and fade to the paint is evident but colors and designs are still very visible (see pictures). It is our feeling that the surface wear and light deposits would be consistent with it having been buried for many, many years. This bowl is large measuring 6 1/4" in height x 7 1/4" diameter x 4 1/4" opening.

This is a 12-ounce Oldbrau Bavarian Style Beer Can from Metropolis Brewery of N.J. Inc., - Trenton, N.J. It is a clean indoor can. There are some flaws so please check the pictures.
Advertising Rag Doll
Lot # 18 (Sale Order: 18 of 275)
This is a Sunny Jim advertising rag doll for FORCE Wheat flakes. He has a monocle on his left eye and is three color printed calico stuffed with Kapok. It depicts the character known as Sunny Jim, who was used to advertise the breakfast cereal, Force Wheat Flakes from the beginning of the 20th century until at least the 1970s. Sunny Jim was a caricature of a gentleman from the early 1800s. These cloth dolls could only be obtained by sending money and "Force Tokens" to the manufacturers of the cereal. Approx size is 15" x 5" discolored from age no tears or splits.
36 Miniature Souvenir T.V. Viewers
Lot # 19 (Sale Order: 19 of 275)
This auction is for a complete display box with 36 Miniature Plastic Souvenir T.V. Viewers. These came in green, blue and red with twelve of each color. You hold it up to the light and look through the peep hole on the back and there are eight different scenes from Ohio. They include the Football Hall of Fame, the Soap Box Derby and the Standard Oil Headquarters Building. Each one is approx 2" x 1 1/2" x 3/4" They are complete except that they have a small rubber band that is part of the viewers mechanism and has dried out and broken on each viewer. It is a simple mechanism and we will leave it to you to make them work again.
Stoneware Cruiskeen Lawn Irish Whisky Jug

You are bidding on a vintage stoneware Cruiskeen Lawn Mitchell's Old Irish Whiskey Belfast advertising jug. It is impressed in the base Port Dundas Glasgow Pottery. The jug measures 7 1/2". The handle is firmly attached with no stress cracking. The black transfers are clear with no glaze runs. There are no chips or cracks. This is a great jug and would make a fantastic addition to your collection.
Johnny Cash - 1968 Carousel Ballroom Concert Poster
Lot # 21 (Sale Order: 21 of 275)
One night only concert at the Carousel Ballroom featuring Johnny Cash with Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks on April 24, 1968. The poster art is by Steve Catron and features an image of wild-haired cowboy on a nervous-looking horse mounted on a carousel. Unused original first and only printing. Size 11" x 14" with no tears, tape or tack holes.
5 WWII Anti-Axis Envelopes

Here are five envelopes mailed during WWII postmarked from five different cities. They all have different anti-Axis slogans on them that serve as a reminder of our country's patriotism of the past. In excellent condition. Measure 6 1/2" x 3 1/2".
Two 1970s Milton Bradley Super Hero Board Games
Lot # 23 (Sale Order: 23 of 275)
The first game is a Spider-Man game made by Milton Bradley in 1977. It doesn't look like it has ever been played with, as all the pieces aren't punched out. It is complete, no box tears, with the board in like new condition. The second game is a super heroes card game also made by Milton Bradley in 1978. It is complete and the cards are in excellent condition, although Dr. Doom has a slight bend. There boxes measures approx 16" x 10" and 6" x 7".
7-Up Cardboard Sign 1945

This is a hanging 7-Up cardboard sign that 7-Up used in 1945. It is in excellent condition except for a little scuffing on the top center - you really have to look to notice. The bottles in the sign have the famous 7-Up Bubble Girl on them. Approx size is 14" x 21".
Razor Blade Store Display Card

This display card for Clix Double Edge holds 20 packs of 8 blades and comes full and in the original box. A nice addition to a drug store or general store setting. Measures 8" x 14".
