A high quality mid-WWII Imperial Japanese Shin-Guto WWII Samurai Sword in very good condition, with an exceptionally clean blade. The blade measures 24" (overall length is 39") and it has a distinctive highly active temper line. Fittings, wrap and tsuba are nice, but the scabbard has been amateurishly re-painted and shows damage from being hit with shrapnel or a bullet. The tang of this smith made blade is marked "Kane Hisa from Noshu Province, December 1943"....more

This US issue Civil War era M1861 Bridesburg contract Percussion Rifle is in very good condition with good rifling. The bright finish is somewhat mottled but clean, and the stock is solid with the correct but faint cartouches. The lock is dated 1864 and the nicely rifled barrel is marked 1864. US Harpers Ferry M1840 CSA Percussion Musketoon - Antique

Lot # 2147 (Sale Order: 24 of 287)      

An unusual possible Confederate used Civil War US Harpers Ferry .69 caliber M1840 Percussion conversion Musketoon in very good condition. This is a standard 1816 musket shortened to a musketoon configuration and has a butt stock marked "VA 13th CAV Co K" on one side and "WJW" on the other. The buttstock under the markings has been repaired by fitting a new period piece of wood. The lock is very strong, it has a correct threaded ramrod, it is fitted with rifle sights and none of the conversion looks like it was done recently. Consignor believes this is a correct musketoon conversion, possible done by the Confederates and we see nothing to dispute that....more
