Cowbell - Blum Mfg. Co. - No.3

I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell. Here is your chance to have your very own. This early cowbell is from the Blum Manufacturing Company of Collinsvile, Illinois. It is a No. 3 bell and shows little edge wear and some age wear to the label. Measures 4.75" in diameter and 5.25" tall.

Set of 6 Aviator Buttons

Lot # 2 (Sale Order: 2 of 361)      

Set of 6 buttons issued by the Bond Bread Co. Each button features a famous aviator and their most notable plane:
  • Linberg's "Spirit of St. Louis"
  • Post & Gatty's "Winnie Mae"
  • Commander Byrd's "Floyd Benett"
  • Coste and Bellonte's "Question Mark"
  • Amelia Earhart's "Friendship"
  • Floyd Bennet's "Josephine Ford"
Five of the six buttons have their back paper, with the yellow #2 Post & Gatty's being the only one without it. Only numbers 1 & 2 have any foxing - small spots on the rim in the upper right hand corner. The rest are in excellent condition. Measure 1.5" in diameter each.

Anheuser Busch Prohibition Era Bevo Bottle

This is a prohibition era Anheuser Busch 10 ounce Bevo Beverage bottle. It is from Anheuser Busch Brewing Association of Saint Louis, Missouri. The bottle is made of amber glass with paper labels. The paper labels do have flaws such as nicks, tears and paper loss. The bottle is clean with no chips or cracks. Size is 7 1/4" x 2 7/8.

This is a detailed nude woman and goat made of bronze. The statue is unsigned and ready to be mounted on to a base or left to sit on a table. We have several bronzes in todays auction all are fresh from a local estate with nice patina and a little dust on most. Approximate size is 12 x 7 x 5 1/2 it is heavy for its size at just under 5 pounds.

Vintage Ice Cream Scoop - Gilchrist Disher #31 Size 20 - Complete w/ Original Box

Lot # 6 (Sale Order: 6 of 361)      

Raymond Gilchrist applied for the patent for his #31 ice cream scoop in 1907 and continued to manufacture the scoop until his company merged with Hamilton Beach in 1931. It was among the most used scoops of all time - find one today and it will work as well as the day it was made. The scoop is made of nickel-plated brass and very well engineered. The box is in good condition. Box measures 11.5" x 3" x 2" deep.

Vintage Heavy Metal Thermometer in Box - Corno's Food Market - Portland, OR

Lot # 7 (Sale Order: 7 of 361)      

Corno's Food Market was a Portland landmark, known for its massive wooden signage along the building's facade in the shape of various fruits and vegetables. The thermometer is believed to have been made before 1963 as there is no zip code present. The consignor got the thermometer at an auction of the store's contents soon after Corno's Food Market closed in 1995. Sign measures 6.5" at the bottom and 8" on the top by 24" long and is in excellent condition.

1906 Calendar Montana Brewing Co.

Lot # 8 (Sale Order: 8 of 361)      

This 1906 calendar was distributed compliments of the Montana Brewing Co., Great Falls, Montana.  The Montana Brewing Co. was in business from 1894 - 1918.  It was illustrated by Paul dePongre and printed by the Gray Litho Co of New York.  There is a small paper loss on the upper right corner but it is hardly noticeable.  The calendar is matted and ready for framing.  It measures approximately 16 1/4" x 11 1/4".

  2. 1/6th plate tintype of three handsomely dressed couples in a studio pose. In a metal mat but with no case.
  3. 1/6th plate tintype of a seared man with his arm resting on a parlor table that contains a book and photo album. Housed in a full case - the protective glass and mat are loosely fitting on top of the image.

Offered are two Columbia River arrowheads that were found at the mouth of the John Day River in Oregon circa 1960. The John Day River is a tributary of the Columbia River. The longer point is made of a great looking multi colored translucent agate and is 1 1/4" x 5/8". The smaller point is also multi colored and is 1" x 5/8". They were found by Walt and Gladys Koch, members of the Oregon Archeology Society.

This is a hard to find vintage Hamm's Beer "Refreshing as the Land of Sky Blue Waters" mirror. This Hamm's advertising mirror was made by Beeco Manufacturing Company for the Pabst Brewing Company. The mirror has beautiful detailed graphics and logos. This is 10" x 12 1/2". It is N.O.S. (New Old Stock) there are no chips or cracks. The pictures do not do this Hamm's mirror any justice, you will not be disappointed.

Round Bakery Bread Thermometer - "Fresh Zone" - Albert A. Weiss & Son, Inc.

Lot # 15 (Sale Order: 15 of 361)      

This round thermometer features with the inscription "Quality requires temperature control" and has two different "zones," the "Stale Zone" and the "Fresh Zone." The thermometer also bears an inscription stating "Keep Above 75°." In order to keep bread fresh, it needed to be stored at above 75° F. The thermometer is in like new condition, in good working order, and appears to be from the 1960s. Bears the marks "Albert A. Weiss & Son, Inc." and "Made In U.S.A." near the bottom. Measures 12" in diameter.

We are pleased to be offering two old Clyde Beatty Cole Brothers circus posters in this auction. This one is a very unusual format, nearly square. It still has its bold fresh colors and it is in really good condition. And we are fortunate to still have its original snipe (attachment at the bottom) for the city of Miami. There are two faint tape stains, see photos. This item has not been restored or backed. The size is 28 x 29 1/2 inches with the added snipe at the bottom, and 28 x 21 1/4 if you were to remove the attachment.

Historic Civil War Engraving of The Sixth Massachusetts Regiment Repelling the Attack... Baltimore

This fine old engraving had been taken from original artwork that had been done in the field during the Civil War. The plate would have been original and in this case, printed and bound later for publication, 1860's originally, bound later, perhaps at the turn of the 20th century. It is printed on both side with the reverse side showing "The Navel Brigade, Under Lieut. Perkins, Constructiong the Marine Battery on Shuter's Hill to Guard Alexandria, VA" and on the other half "Views from the Federal Works on Folly Island, Charleston Harbor". Vintage 1940s Toast-O-Lator Toaster

This toaster was manufactured by the Toast-O-Lator Co., Inc. of Long Island, NY. This type of toaster was made from 1939-1952. This type of toaster features a conveyor belt-type mechanism to toast the bread - inserting the bread in one end and receiving toasted bread on the other end.
