Belgian Lefaucheux Style Pinfire Revolver

Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 1 of 409)      

SERIAL #: 1410
DESIGN: Belgian made double action with 6-shot cylinder. 3-1/2” octagonal to round barrel. 7mm caliber.
MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Smooth ivory grip panels.
FEATURES: Conical bead front sight. Folding trigger. Knurled hammer. Tip up loading gate on right side of frame and ejection rod on right side of barrel assembly. Rear of cylinder stamped "G" with the Belgian proof mark (ELG) in the middle of the cylinder. Front right side of frame stamped with the serial #. Cylinder, frame, grip frame, and rear of barrel assembly engraved in decorative motifs and floral patterns. Comes with black plastic hard case.
CONDITION: Good. A few light spots of old pitting on metal components. Loading gate and ejection rod both work. Cylinder will not spin freely. Hammer cocks but is finicky because of the cylinder issue. Moderate wear to grip panels with a modest patina and hairline cracks on both sides at the screw. Case shows minimal wear.

MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel barrel cluster. Medium size silver plated brass frame. Checkered gutta-percha grip panels.
FEATURES: Bead front sight. Straight line breech. V-notch rear sight. Knurled hammer. Spur trigger. Rotating firing pin. Right side of frame stamped "C. SHARPS & Co. / PHILADA. PA" in circular format around hammer screw. Left side of frame stamped "C. SHARPS / PATENT 1859" in circular format around hammer screw. Push button barrel release on bottom front of frame allows barrel cluster to slide forward for loading and unloading. Serial number matches on frame and bottom of barrel cluster.
CONDITION: Fine. Dark patina to much of the finish. Spotty light pitting. Inconsistent sliver finish on frame with patches of brass showing through. Light scratches and handling marks. Grip panels show very light wear.

FEATURES: Pistol has been put together with a British barrel fitted to a one piece wood stock. British proofs at rear of barrel. Fitted with a Simeon North marked lock. Brass flash pan, trigger guard, and ramrod guide. Wood ramrod with brass tip.
CONDITION: Very good. All parts in working order and showing modest wear. Some deformation to the face of the lock plate. Solder repair to the rear of the trigger guard. Grip shows very light wear.

FEATURES: Post front sight. V-notch rear sight. Hinged type loading lever assembly. Fitted with heart shaped trigger/lever guard. Top frame strap stamped "SAVAGE R.F.A. CO. MIDDLETOWN CT. / H.S. NORTH PATENTED JUNE 17, 1856 / JAN. 18, 1859 . MAY 15, 1860". Flat sided frame. Right grip panel is carved with the number "1".
CONDITION: Good. Little of the original finish remains. Old spotty pitting throughout the finish. All parts in working order and showing modest wear. Grip panels show significant wear with a small loss of material at the bottom.

Stagecoach hold up scene on the cylinder. Serial number matches on frame, barrel assembly, front grip strap, cylinder, bottom of grip assembly, and wedge pin.
CONDITION: Very good. Blued components have lost most of their finish. Case colors are weak. Stagecoach scene on cylinder is barely visible. Brass components are very good. Grip panels show moderate wear with moderate scrapes and scratches.

FEATURES: No sights. Stock is relief carved. Unmarked lock assembly. Iron grip cap. Top of barrel decorated with crossed cannons and swords. Wood ramrod with contoured tip.
CONDITION: Very good. Spotty light pitting on metal components. Barrel decoration is easily visible. Two hairline cracks on stock on the right side: one above the ramrod and one in front of the side plate. Some of the metal shows a light patina. Ramrod is good with some discoloration.

MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Charcoal blue steel. Checkered hard rubber grip panels with the Colt name at the top and the rampant colt at the bottom.
FEATURES: Blade front sight. V-notch rear sight. Slide lock. Grip safety. Barrel bushing. Left side of slide stamped with the manufacturer name and address as well as the 1897 & 1903 patent dates. Right side of slide stamped "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 32 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Comes with period right handed hip holster dated 1918 on inside of flap and one magazine.
CONDITION: Good. Less than 50% of the finish remains on metal components. Spotty light pitting. Bore is good. Moderate wear to checkering on the grip panels with an uneven edge to the front of the right grip panel. Holster is good with modest wear to the finish.

CONDITION: Very good. Approximately 85% of the finish remains on metal components. A few light handling marks. Bore is good. Grip panels show modest wear. Slip on grip shows minimal wear. Soft case is good.

MATERIAL/FINISH COMPOSITION: Blued steel. Checkered wood grip panels.
FEATURES: Blade front sight. U-notch rear sight. Knurled hammer. Beaver tail grip safety. Lanyard ring at the bottom of the grip frame. Left side of slide stamped with patent information and the manufacturer's name and address with the rampant colt in the middle. Right side of slide stamped "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Comes with three magazines, extra barrel, and the War Department's Basic Field Manual numbered FM 23-35 for the 1911 pistol.
CONDITION: Good. Approximately 50% of the finish remains on metal components. Numerous scratches and handling marks. Patchy light pitting. The United States property mark has been partially struck from the right side of the frame. Bore is good. Moderate wear to the grip panels. The extra barrel is good with a modest loss of finish. Field Manual wear consistent with age.
