This is a Northern Plains Beaded hat band or small belt from the Otto Ernst Collection. The piece features 19th century early faceted iridescent and red trade seed beads on a saddle leather base. The piece is from early 1900 and shows well preserved good condition. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. Measures 27.5” L and 5/8” wide (has a 7/8”x1” buckle). Original Museum tags. Little to no bead loss.

Cherokee Steatite Pipe from Otto Ernst 19th C.

The lot features a carved rare Cherokee Black Rock Steatite Pipe from the Otto Ernst Collection. The piece has the slight “T” (more “L”) shaped carved pipe that is from scarcely seen black rock Steatite. The tobacco sacred pipe is from the 19th century second to third quarter and is a well preserved piece. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. Measures 3.25”x4.25” with a 9/16” to 5/8” bowl. Original Museum tag.

The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. This is an original Universal Exposition 1904 Saint Louis Commemorative Medal from the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. The piece was crafted by American Artist Adolph Alexander Weinman (1870-1952). This is in the original red box and shows good condition. Art Nouveau. Medal is 2 7/8"x2 7/8". Box is 3.5"x3.5" and 3/4" Thick. Rare.

This is an early pawn silver and turquoise concho trade belt from a Navajo Native American Indian silversmith. The belt features a large round belt buckle hallmarked, "G\\" and "STERLING" seven round concho pieces on the black leather belt. Each piece has a Sleeping Beauty min Turquoise bright blue set stone. This is an early 1900 pawn silver belt and overall shows good condition. Buckle is 2.5" in diameter and each concho is 1.75" in diameter. Belt is 40.5" L.

Eskimo Seal Head Ivory Tooth Effigy Pendant

This is an original Eskimo Native American Inuit antique artifact. The piece is the tip of a Seal Ivory Tooth, taken by the Eskimo Hunter as a kill token, and then the tip is craved in the likeness of a seal head. The piece shows good condition and is from the early 1900's. Good condition and measures 1 3/8"L x 3/4"W x 5/8"D. The ivory was taken legally by an Eskimo Native pre-1972.

These are from circa 1890 and shows good condition with no bead loss. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed.. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. Each has a 10.5" l soles and 4.5" high backs. Foot topped with sheep wool for display.
