1982 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus 1982 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus

1982 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus

Lot #201 (Sale Order 23 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.2L 1982 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus manual that has been with the current owner for the last 5 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A rare 'Hot Hatch' showing 70,644 miles. The Talbot Sunbeam-Lotus was one of the most exciting hot hatchbacks to emerge from the 1970s. Chrysler originally commissioned Lotus Engineering to produce an effective entrant for international Group 4 rallying to compete with the dominant Ford Escort RSs and this required that Talbot produced an appropriate road car for homologation reasons. Lotus took a 1.6GLS shell, installed a 2.2-litre version of the Lotus 16-valve four-cylinder engine and a five-speed ZF gearbox, and the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus was born. The new car certainly looked the part - it was initially offered only in black and silver, with Marchal spotlights mounted above the front bumper and tailored 'double four-spoke' cast-alloy wheels. Launched in 1979, the 2174cc twin-cam engine breathed through two twin-choke Dell'Orto carburettors, developed 150bhp and delivered excellent performance. It also proved very effective in rallying, winning the challenging 1980 Lombard-RAC event. The road-going version proved quick and balanced, although it was priced higher than the comparable Chevette HS or Escort RS2000. This particular car was first registered in January 1982, and comes in the classic colour scheme of Embassy Black with Silver stripes and has an original sunroof and stereo. All panels on the car are said to be original and we are told the car was repainted in 2011 by Dupaul Engineering. Showing 70,644, miles it is described as totally standard except for replacement Bilstein shock absorbers. The engine is said to be untouched and runs well - no oil smoke on start up - and we are told the car still has its original air box fitted. The interior is described as being in reasonable condition but the cloth seats are tired, however, new cloth and trim are available through the owners club. The car recently had £1,000 spent on it to recommission it for the road, with a new MoT issued expiring on 20 Aug 2016. Present are two sets of keys, the original handbooks and a service history booklet which covers until 1987. A box-file of history and bills includes 7 or 8 old MoTs, old tax discs and some invoices. This car drives well and is a true eighties hot hatch - sure to have you grinning from ear to ear! Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1970 Triumph Vitesse Convertible 1970 Triumph Vitesse Convertible

1970 Triumph Vitesse Convertible

Lot #202 (Sale Order 24 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.99L 1970 Triumph Vitesse manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. A well presented Vitesse with a great history file...The Triumph Vitesse was introduced on 25th May 1962, resurrecting a name previously used by the Triumph Motor Company in the thirties, and was an in-line 6-cylinder performance version of the Triumph Herald small saloon. The Herald had been introduced on 22nd April 1959, and was an attractive two-door light car styled by the Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. Within two years Triumph began to entertain thoughts about a small sporting saloon based on the Herald and, ideally, using stocks of their existing 6-cylinder engine. Michelotti was again approached for styling input, and he penned a delightfully balanced small car that utilised nearly all the body panels from the Herald, combined with a new front end with a slanted 4-headlamp design. ODO 6H was born on the 15th of April 1970 and spent most of its life in Lincolnshire with three owners. The car has been the subject of a significant amount of restoration over the last few years and looks like a shiny button with its smart red paintwork. The hood looks in good condition and the engine sounds as sweet as can be. There is quite a lot of history with the car including the original service booklet with seven stamps in it, the last being at 36,592 back in 1982. It also has its original handbook, along with a plethora of old tax discs, many original receipts for works done over the years and happily, its tool kit.  The Herald and the Vitesse are now back in fashion, particularly the convertibles and this pretty car is sure to be an excellent buy for its lucky new owner. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #203 (Sale Order 25 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.343L 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 87/135. A stunning XJS convertible,This particular XJS was supplied new on the 1st of October 1990 by Stratstones, to Goldschmidt and Howland, a firm of London estate agents, and has been enjoyed by five owners who between them have clocked up 69,765 miles. It has a stamped service book up until May 1999, when it had covered 53,729 miles, and since then has receipts for work and services carried out, and just recently had all new rear suspension fitted. 1994 BMW E34 M5 3.8

Lot #204 (Sale Order 26 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.8L 1994 BMW E34 M5 3.8 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 108/135. A freshly restored E34 BMW M5 which has had thousands of pounds lavished on it...Presented in the great colour combination of Oxford Green with a black and green quilted leather interior. Between 1988 and 1995, E34 M5s were hand built at BMW in Garching, Germany and they were carefully assembled by a single 'M-Sport' employee or a dedicated team, and generally took about two weeks. In the second half of 1991, the S-38 straight-six engine displacement was increased to 3.8 litres with a resulting increase in power output to 335bhp, and this was the final development of an engine that could trace its origins back to BMW's Touring Car programme. A bare metal respray in its original Oxford Green was recently completed in February this year. The interior has obviously been the focus of extensive attention and the details are below. The engine was stripped and serviced with new belts, water pump, etc and the rocker covers were stripped and powder coated. A new upgraded clutch was fitted, new top of the range coil over suspension plus a full disc, pad and calliper upgrade. The rare original BMW 'Throwing Star' alloy wheels were fully refurbished and finished with Oxford Green centres. Further details of this M5's rejuvenation are in the Vendor's comments below. This car has covered 175,000 miles, which is supported by a huge history file with lots of old receipts and invoices, some old MoTs and all original BMW books and service records. Supplied with a fresh MoT Certificate valid until February 2017. Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

2000 Ducati 748 SPS 2000 Ducati 748 SPS

2000 Ducati 748 SPS

Lot #205 (Sale Order 27 of 138)

Offered for sale is a .748L 2000 Ducati 748 SPS manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. Race Replica Ducati 748SPS.     The 748 SPS was the top end of the Ducati 748 road bike range in 2000, and had more extreme cams and a higher compression than its lesser 748 siblings. Its 104 bhp output was only just below the full-race 748R ridden to success in World Superbikes by James Toseland with HM Plant/Team Ducati. Ohlins rear suspension and a gorgeous aluminium rear subframe with a single seat fitted meant that this was a very focused sports bike. This Ducati 748 SPS was first registered in the UK in May 2000 and is a genuine UK supplied bike. It is MoT'd until August 2016 and the odometer is reading 10,800 miles which is backed up by its service history. The specification includes a full Termignoni exhaust system, gold Marchesini alloys, and the bike is finished with HM Plant/Team Ducati colours (graphics can be removed). Low production, limited import and special edition Ducatis, are generating more interest than any other sector in the classic bike world (apart from maybe eighties Japanese multis) and, as there are believed to be only 52 UK registered 748 SPS' left, this may be an excellent opportunity.      Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1951 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch 1951 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch

1951 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch

Lot #206 (Sale Order 28 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2L 1951 Land Rover Series I manual that has been with the current owner for the last 6 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 65/135. Wonderfully rustic daily driver, restore or keep as it is...The original Land Rover Series 1 was designed by Maurice Wilks and launched by the Rover Company of Solihull on 30th April 1948. It had an 80inch wheelbase and a sturdy box section ladder-frame chassis. The open back with 3 seats in the front design was heavily influenced by the American World War Two Willys Jeep and the Land Rover quickly became popular with both the army and the farming fraternity. This super 1951 'Landy' has the patina of good, regular use and the 2-litre petrol engine runs sweetly. Interestingly, it has the rare aluminium bulkhead and is one of the last original 80-inch Land Rovers produced before production changed to the 86-inch chassis. According to the Heritage Certificate, it was sold new by Caffyns Ltd of Maidstone on the 18th November 1951. Having resided in a superb private Land Rover collection, OKM 410 was by no means the ugly duckling, as the vendor wanted to keep it looking authentic. With just four former keepers this is a simple, unadulterated early car and would be at home on the farm, outside the pub or just doing Land Rover things.   Exterior: 2/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1960 Ford Thunderbird 1960 Ford Thunderbird

1960 Ford Thunderbird

Lot #207 (Sale Order 29 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.7L 1960 Ford Thunderbird automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 90/135. The Thunderbird entered production for the 1955 model year as a sporty two-seat convertible. Unlike the Chevrolet Corvette, it was not marketed as a sports car, rather, Jonah Lucas Bender created a new market segment, the 'Personal Car', in which to position it. It was ordered from Pearson Ford Co. 1202, Broadway, San Diego, California, in November 1960, by Howard Hoffman for his wife Edna and he selected a number of options including Cruise-O-Matic, Magicaire heater, console radio, tinted glass, outside mirror, power driver's seat, power brakes and power steering. The chosen colour was Adriatic Green with a matching two-tone green interior. Total cost, as detailed on the original bill of sale, was $5010.76c less dealer discount of $643.00. Edna took delivery of the T-bird in late December. By late 1969, and having covered only 36,605 miles, it was considered an ‘Old-Bird' and laid to rest at the Hoffmans' residence and didn't get resurrected until 1980. Sporting a fresh coat of White paint, it was entered into the 'Vintage Thunderbird Club of America' Concours Awards in 1982, now showing 40,461 miles on the clock, and scored 287 points out of 300.‘USU 729' arrived in the UK in 1990, and was sold by a Dealer in Uxbridge to a Mr Stanley of Bedford. After featuring in Classic Car periodicals, the book ‘Ford T-Bird' and being seen at various shows, it was sold in 1991 having now covered 45,000 miles. The new owner continued bringing the car up to 'show standard' and reached the finals of the Classic American Car of the Year in 1993. Later that year the engine was  re-built by Holbay Engineering in Ipswich. After an appearance in the TV show ‘Lovejoy' in 1994, records indicate that it was sold to a Mr John Savage of Peterborough and he continued to show the car during the next 9 years. The current vendor has owned the car for two years now and has decided to let it go due to lack of usage. The car has an extensive history file including the original dealer order to the factory and the original bill of sale. The odometer at the time of consignment shows a mere 59,000 miles. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1990 Lotus M100 Elan SE Turbo 1990 Lotus M100 Elan SE Turbo

1990 Lotus M100 Elan SE Turbo

Lot #209 (Sale Order 31 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.588L 1990 Lotus M100 Elan SE manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. The Lotus M100 Elan, launched in August 1989, was a two-seater, convertible sports car designed by Lotus, with a reliable Japanese engine and manual transmission supplied by Isuzu, and built with the development and testing resources of General Motors. Around £35 million was invested in its development, more than any other car in Lotus history. Its design, featuring a fibreglass composite body over a rigid steel backbone chassis, was true to Lotus founder Colin Chapman's original philosophy of achieving performance through low weight, and the name "Elan" connected the car with its 1960's ancestor, the original Lotus Elan. This particular 1990 model has an impeccable service record with a recent top end engine rebuild and also comes with the original bill of sale. There is no evidence of any 'reactions' in the paintwork and generally speaking the car presents very well indeed, belying its odometer reading of 119,070 miles. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1999 Rover Mini Paul Smith LE

Lot #210 (Sale Order 32 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.275L 1999 Rover Mini Paul Smith manual that has been with the current owner for the last 5 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 84/135. A rare classic 'Paul Smith' limited edition Rover Mini showing just 61,892 miles. This desirable, original UK supplied car is believed to be one of only 300 built by Rover for the UK market and is based on the Mini Sprite with the 1275cc engine fitted.  We are told this car has travelled very few miles since a respray in the correct shade of Paul Smith Blue late last summer, and naturally the bodywork was fully prepared prior to painting. Two brand new Falcon tyres on the front have been fitted and a fresh MoT certificate will be issued before the Auction with a March 2017 expiry. Owned by the vendor, a Mini enthusiast, for the last five years, this attractive Mini is said to drive and run as it should. The standard Rover multi-point fuel injection makes this an easy and reliable entry into classic Mini ownership, with the 1275 cc engine easily keeping up with modern traffic.  The Paul Smith refinements include unique Paul Smith Blue paintwork, black leather interior, magnolia dials, black and silver rose petal alloys, lime green details in the interior, boot and engine bay and the gold Paul Smith bonnet badge. A sound, clean and tidy 'limited edition' Mini in an amazing colour. 1950 Jaguar Mk V 3.5

Lot #211 (Sale Order 33 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1950 Jaguar MkV manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 75/135. This 1950 Jaguar Mark V was produced on the 26th June and exported to Australia on the 30th of June to Dominion Motors, Adelaide. Powered by a Jaguar 3.5 litre six-cylinder engine and manual transmission, the car boasts a well-patinated biscuit leather interior and acres of wood. Owned by an Australian gentleman for the last eighteen years, it has been well maintained, and used for the occasional wedding, such is the condition of the car. Showing an odometer reading of 16,454, the engine was rebuilt some years ago and has completed a mere 2,000 miles since. Some receipts are available for recent servicing work undertaken in Australia by a well known Jaguar dealer, and the car sits on new white-wall tyres. The Jaguar Production Trace/Heritage Certificate is supplied with the car and it has NOVA certification and is, therefore, ready for the new owner to register it with the DVLA. This stately Jaguar shows good panels and paintwork, and thanks to its engine rebuild is on the button. Lovely Fifties styling, two-tone paintwork and whitewalls with a delectable Thirties, almost Deco, interior. As a distinctive and stylish alternative to a contemporary Bentley, this car is a rare sight on British roads.     Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1989 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth - ex Top Gear 1989 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth - ex Top Gear

1989 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth - ex Top Gear

Lot #212 (Sale Order 34 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1989 FORD Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth manual coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. As driven by Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear in 2010. The original Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was the first Ford to wear the Cosworth badge and was introduced at the 1985 Geneva Motor Show as a means of homologating the Sierra for Group A Touring Car racing. The second generation 4-door, Sierra Sapphire Cosworth was assembled in Genk, Belgium, with the UK-built Ford-Cosworth YBB engine. The Sapphire Cosworth was based on a different shell to the original three-door Cossie, and along with its more discrete rear wing, recorded a drag coefficient of 0.33, allowing it to register slightly better performance figures with a top speed of 150 mph and 0-60 in 6.1 seconds compared to the original Cosworth. Famously driven by Jeremy Clarkson during one of their notable challenges, this Cosworth was bathed in glory, and performed (rarely for a Top Gear challenge) as it should. The clip below shows Clarkson's delight that, even at twenty-one years old it could achieve 142mph on the Autobahn, just 8mph less than when new. Presented today with 81,000 miles and what appears to be the original stainless steel exhaust, the car has a box full of history and a fresh MoT issued with no advisories until March 2017. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1963 Hotchkiss M201 1963 Hotchkiss M201

1963 Hotchkiss M201 "La Jeep"

Lot #217 (Sale Order 39 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.2L 1963 Hotchkiss M201 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. Amazing value "retro-modded" Jeep...The Hotchkiss M201 was the standard light transport vehicle used by the French army from shortly after the war until well into the 1980s. It started as a World War II Jeep, built under licence and in many respects was little changed forty years later. In France, it is usually simply called "La Jeep". Hotchkiss, a French car company had by now built up a reasonable understanding of these vehicles, having been the supplier of manufactured spare parts to the Maltournée based assembly operation, and having also itself been producing Jeeps, primarily for civilian use under licence from Willys. In 1955, 465 Jeeps were produced, and these were called Hotchkiss Licence MBs. From 1956, the vehicle was known simply as the Hotchkiss M201. This 1962 example has been owned by our vendor since 2005 and maintained by his private mechanic who has 'retro-modded' La Jeep to include the accessories of a WWII-era Willys. Cosmetically near identical to its Willys forebear, La Jeep has a sweet running 2.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine and is showing 63,000 kilometres. A relative bargain, at this guide price, compared to its Willys counterpart, La Jeep is itching to join the fray at local car shows or be used in film and TV, as it has been before.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1979 Mazda RX-7 1979 Mazda RX-7

1979 Mazda RX-7

Lot #218 (Sale Order 40 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.2L 1979 Mazda RX-7 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. An incredibly rare RX-7 from a thirty-six year ownership...The original RX-7 was a sports car with pop-up headlamps and the legendary compact and lightweight Wankel rotary engine is situated slightly behind the front axle, a configuration marketed by Mazda as "front mid-engine". It was offered as a two-seat coupé, with optional 'occasional' rear seats in Japan, Australia, the United States, and other parts of the world. The rear seats were initially marketed as dealer-installed. The RX-7 made Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list five times. Owned since virtually new, the car was first registered on 1st September 1979 and bought by our vendor, it's second and only keeper, on the 29th May 1980. During the early months of ownership, a persistent engine niggle could not be solved by the British Mazda mechanics, unfamiliar with the rotary engine, so the car spent some three months in the dealership getting the problem sorted. Upon collection of the now fixed RX-7 our vendor actually walked past his own car, the dealer, as a thank you for our vendor's patience, had fitted a factory body kit and racing stripes. Presenting today in near time-warp condition and showing just 35,000 on the odometer. The car is a must for any enthusiast, with the ideal combination of being one of the first UK RX-7s, long ownership and low miles. With a fresh MoT until February 2017 and a Mechanic's Report on the car claiming it is the best they have ever seen.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1987 Ford Capri 2.8i Special 1987 Ford Capri 2.8i Special

1987 Ford Capri 2.8i Special

Lot #219 (Sale Order 41 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.8L 1987 Ford Capri 2.8i Special manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 90/135. Capri, the car you always promised yourself...This wonderfully presented 2.8i Special has had nearly £18,000 lavished on it to bring it up to this standard. It's only had two previous owners and is on an 'E' plate, relatively rare as production ceased during that year. The work commenced on the car after coming out of a two-year hibernation with a £2,000 bill (with the car) from Tickover of Dartford to deal with all the mechanical aspects necessary to put it back on the road. The next stage was to thoroughly sort the bodywork with new metal where required and then fit the dramatic Cartel body kit and a serious Cosworth spoiler. It was then treated to enough coats of black paint to produce the sort of deep glossy shine you see here and finished off with a set of Brooklands alloy wheels. The interior has been completely retrimmed in Cream Leather with perforated Black Leather highlights and this work was carried out by Frank Dale, the Rolls-Royce specialist and coachbuilder, to an amazing standard. This is an extensively and expensively restored Capri with a distinctive 'look' that is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. 1986 BMW 628 CSI AUTO 1986 BMW 628 CSI AUTO

1986 BMW 628 CSI AUTO

Lot #220 (Sale Order 42 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.8 L 1986 BMW 628 CSi automatic. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. The iconic 'shark nose' BMW 6 Series. Introduced in 1979, the 6 Series was extensively updated from 1982 and although externally very similar, models manufactured from then until the end of production in 1987 were now built on the E28 5 Series floor pan. The turbine smooth, 2.8-litre straight-six produced a very reasonable 185 brake horsepower and the 628 is still quick enough to have a lot of fun. This particular car is in the great eighties colour combination of White with Blue leather, and the interior shows good patina for its 105,065 miles. The 628 comes with its original handbooks and a fully stamped service book by BMW main dealers up until 1997 with specialists to date. When properly set up with the correct tyre pressures these 628s are so much sweeter to drive than the 633 or the 'portly' 635. This car would make a lovely entry level into Six Series ownership and is on the button with an MoT until July 2016. A well maintained 1988 Porsche 928 S4. The Porsche 928 is a luxury GT produced by Porsche AG of Germany from 1978 to 1995. 1991 Vauxhall Astra GTE MkII 2.0

Lot #222 (Sale Order 44 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1991 Vauxhall Astra GTE Mk 2 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 83/135. Owned by one family from new, Vauxhall Astra GTE. A rare find indeed, especially in this condition and with an odometer reading of just 42,000. This GTE proudly displays its original dealer plates and rear window supplying dealer sticker. It was owned by the current vendor's grandfather before being passed down to him, and has been enjoyed by just the two owners. The car was stored in 2003 and has not been used since, however an amount of re-commissioning will be completed prior to the auction and the car will be offered with an MoT. The condition is superb for its age and it surely deserves to be back on the road. An interesting alternative to an RS Escort perhaps? 1992 TVR 4.0 V8S 1992 TVR 4.0 V8S

1992 TVR 4.0 V8S

Lot #223 (Sale Order 45 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.0L 1992 TVR V8S manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. Becoming increasingly rare, this TVR V8S is a fabulous 90's British sports car.  The TVR 'S' Series was announced at the 1986 British International Motor Show, and as a result of a really positive response, the car went into production in less than 12 months with 250 orders confirmed before any cars started rolling out of the big doors that front Bristol Avenue in Blackpool. This was Peter Wheeler's first major development since buying the company from Martin Lilley, and the turning point in TVR's fortunes, and consequently these became very important cars in the history of TVR.  The ultimate incarnation of the 'S' was the 'V8S, a 240bhp TVR-tweaked 3.9-litre Rover powered monster that provided Ferrari-beating pace when it hit the streets in 1991. Only 410 were made out of a total production run of over 2,600 cars, and just 28 TVR V8S' remained licenced on the road last year in the UK.  This particular V8S was supplied new by Clive Greenhalgh at Team Central TVR Sports Cars. Presented in Metallic Silver with an attractive navy blue roof, grey leather seats with light grey piping, and finished with matching light grey carpets and a walnut dash. This TVR is fitted with an Alpine CD player with uprated speakers. The alloy wheels have recently been shod with brand new tires. Current mileage is  just over 70,000. The underneath was 'Waxoyled' in December 2015 and the car had a 6,000mile service around the same time. Supplied with a substantial amount of history, 2 sets of keys and a full MoT expiring in January 2017.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1973 VW Beetle 1303S

Lot #224 (Sale Order 46 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.6L 1973 Volkswagen 1303 S Beetle manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A great everyday usable Beetle...This remarkable VW has been with its current owner for some 30 years, and the time has now come for someone else to enjoy this happy little car. It has benefitted from an engine rebuild some 20,000 miles ago and, at the time, was slightly upgraded to a Stage 1 specification which included larger valves, twin choke carburettor and a free flow exhaust. Most of the original ancillaries will be supplied with the car should the new owner wish to put the car back to its original state. It had a 'glass out' respray back in 1997 and still looks good today. There is little doubt that this brightly coloured Beetle will give many more pleasurable miles. 1971 Jaguar E Type V12 Series III Auto Coupe 2+2

Lot #225 (Sale Order 47 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.3L 1971 jaguar E-Type Series III V12 2+2 Coupe automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. A beautiful Series III E-Type...According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this 1971 example was first supplied to a gentleman in Bournemouth by Henlys, the main dealership and the car was subsequently shipped out to Italy in 2009. It passed through the hands of three significant owners whilst over in Italy, one being Dario Luraghi, the son of the president of Alfa Romeo from 1960 to 1974. The car was purchased by the vendor whilst out in Italy last year and exported back to the UK. It was promptly sent to J-Cat, Independent Jaguar Specialists in Norwich and, after a thorough inspection, a programme of works was undertaken to make it ready for UK roads.  An MoT was issued in October 2015 and certain upgrades were made to enhance the driving experience. Whilst out in Italy, OGL 220 took part in the 500 Miglia Tour around the country, and there are some interesting pictures available showing this. Lot #226 (Sale Order 48 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.3L 1977 BMW 633 CSI manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A UK supplied manual BMW 633 CSI...This classic 38-year-old BMW has the Karman M-Sport body kit fitted, original engine and factory fitted sunroof. The vendor informs us that he spent in the region of £5,000 last year on the car on various suspension components, new brakes and new tyres. The engine was previously rebuilt at 95,000 miles at Bridgegate BMW in Derby where they have records of all their input into this lovely old 'Beemer' with copies in the car's comprehensive history file. The 633 was imported in far smaller numbers than its bigger brother the 635, however, those in the know will tell you that they were a delight to drive, slightly better balanced, and probably a bit quicker across country than the succeeding 3.5 litre.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1952 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch Restored 1952 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch Restored

1952 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch Restored

Lot #228 (Sale Order 50 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2L 1952 Land Rover Series I 80 Inch manual that has been with the current owner for the last 9 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. A restored two owner Series I 80 inch in super condition...When Maurice Wilks, Rover's chief designer, came up with a plan to produce a light agricultural utility vehicle in 1947 he would have no idea that his design would become an icon and launch a whole new industry sector. The original Land Rover was presented in Sage Green with a canvas roof and revolutionised rural transport. As an engineering marvel it can still outstrip its modern counterparts, and the Series I rightly belongs in the Motoring Hall of Fame. Hugely successful globally, improvements were made throughout the production run. In 1950, the lights moved from a position behind the grill to protrude through the grill and in 1952 a larger 2.0-litre petrol engine replaced the original 1.6 litre. First registered on the 10th August 1952, this super example comes from a private collection of historically significant Land Rovers that includes an early side plate example and a Tickford. Complete with "buff log book" the extensive body-off restoration was based around a new chassis, supplied by the Series I Club, and a new bulkhead. A Heritage Certificate has been applied for and should be with us for the auction. This, 2-litre petrol car has been with the current owner since 2007 and is a must for any collector or first time Land Rover owner wanting an 'on the button' and well presented Landy.    Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1990 Lancia Delta Integrale 16v Turbo 1990 Lancia Delta Integrale 16v Turbo

1990 Lancia Delta Integrale 16v Turbo

Lot #229 (Sale Order 51 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1990 Lancia Delta Integrale 4x4 16v Turbo manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 79/135. An adrenalin pumping Integrale 16v...Despite the fact that the 8 valve Integrale had dominated the 1988 World Rally Championship, Lancia knew that further upgrades, and particularly more power, were needed to keep the car competitive with newer rivals. Accordingly, the extensively developed 16 valve car appeared a short time later, and made a winning debut on the 1989 San Remo Rally. The 16v Integrale was launched at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show and the new car could be distinguished from its predecessor by the raised bonnet centre section to accommodate the, slightly taller, 16 valve engine. Other visible exterior changes were wider wheels and tyres and new identity badges front and rear. The torque split was changed to 47% front and 53% rear to give the car better handling characteristics. This is the one to have, with 16 valves and painted bright red. The car has come from Italy and has with it a complete, original book pack with the handbook and original service book that has six recorded stamps in it. The car has only covered 78,365 kms (48,693 miles) and has had a cambelt change documented at 70,000 kms.(43,496). It has recently had an oil change over here with an MoT until December 2016 and will be ready for its first UK owner once sold.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

A lovely Mk.II Triumph Stag in gleaming white. The Triumph Stag was a smooth, seventies British sports-tourer in an Italian overcoat. This attractive white Mk II is an end of line, 1978 car is reading 77,360 miles and presents well in arguably the best colour combination with its beige leather seats and matt wood veneer. The capable 3.0 V8 engine is perfectly matched to the manual gearbox, complete with overdrive. 1996 Jaguar XJ6 ( X300 ) 1996 Jaguar XJ6 ( X300 )

1996 Jaguar XJ6 ( X300 )

Lot #231 (Sale Order 53 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.2L 1996 JAGUAR XJ6 (X300) automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 96/135. An elegant Jaguar XJ in superb condition.    The Jaguar XJ (X300) was manufactured between 1994 and 1997 and was the first XJ produced entirely under Ford ownership. The design of the X300 can be considered an evolution of the outgoing XJ40 generation and placed an emphasis on better build quality, improved reliability, and a return to traditional Jaguar styling elements. This car was produced in 1996 and has covered a mere 19,200 miles since then and is barely 'run in'. The first owner had the car from new until last year when the current vendor purchased it and he has used it lightly ever since. The car does have some history and there is evidence from MoTs that the mileage may well be correct, and the general condition of the car, particularly the interior, appears to confirm this. The underside we are told is as clean as the top and the car drives like it should with smooth gear changes. N58 PJT will come into the auction with a fresh service and the book stamped. The acres of wood and mushroom coloured leather perfectly compliments the Dark Blue bodywork, a lovely colour combination for an XJ. The owner of this XJ has rated his car at 96/135, and we would not have argued if he had gone a bit higher.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E Saloon

Lot #232 (Sale Order 54 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.0L 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500 E automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A well presented, left-hand drive, Mercedes 500E indicating 59,527 kms (37,000miles). Having been imported some two years ago, this 5.0-litre sporting saloon from the 90s is now offered for sale. It's accompanied by its original maintenance record booklet which supports the indicated mileage and is supplied with a fresh MoT certificate valid until February 2017. This car presents well and looks very diplomatic in Mercedes Black. These early 90's 500Es are competent fast saloons and are normally very well specified with lots of creature comforts. They are comparatively rare in the UK as 5litre cars were in limited demand during the 'exchange rate' financial crisis of 92/93. 1991 Toyota MK3 Supra Turbo Manual

Lot #233 (Sale Order 55 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.0 L 1991 Toyota MK3 Supra Turbo 5 speed manual manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 108/135. A freshly restored, rare manual, UK supplied Toyota Supra Turbo...Produced by the Toyota Motor Corporation from 1978 to 2002, the styling of the Toyota Supra had evolved from the Celica, but was both longer and wider and, from 1986, the prefix Celica was dropped and the car was just known as the Supra. First registered in the UK in March 1991, this car has had four registered owners with the last owner purchasing it directly from Toyota and storing it for 10 years in her heated garage before selling it to our vendor. Just prior to the sale the exhaust was replaced with a complete original Toyota system. The car has now been restored by the vendor and this work included a bare metal respray in Toyota Red, a full brake upgrade with discs, pads and callipers and the alloy wheels were refurbed and new tyres fitted. With an indicated 115,000 miles this lovely Supra Turbo is presented to auction with a current MoT until January 2016 and a large history file. Lot #234 (Sale Order 56 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1977 Ford Escort RS 2000 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with no history file, this lot's condition scores 79/135. This 1977 Escort RS 2000, 5-speed manual is described by the vendor as clean inside and out and was first registered in the UK in April 1982, having been originally supplied new to Northen Ireland. Recently returned to the road after 10 years in storage, this car has covered 103,467 miles and is supplied with a valid MoT certificate issued with no advisories until January 2017. We are told the car recently had a full brake overhaul and rebuild with new parts where needed. Sitting on Minilite alloys it is said to drive as it should and pulls well in all gears, however, the vendor recommends that the car would benefit from a major service in the near future. The bodywork is described as having scope for further refurbishment and this is reflected in the suggested price.  Sensibly guided, this RS 2000 represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a model that is now gaining momentum in the collector's market. 1987 BMW E30 320i

Lot #237 (Sale Order 59 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1987 BMW E30 320i 4dr Saloon automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 79/135. A hugely important car range for BMW and an enduring success even to this day, the E30 generation cemented BMW as the market leader in the medium sector globally. With a range of saloons, coupes, estates and convertibles available in both 4 and 6 cylinder engines, this was the car to be seen in during the 1980s. The 6-cylinder M20 2 litre or 2.5 was one of BMW's finest moments, its turbine-like smoothness and rear wheel drive delivery was a driver's delight. On the road D88 RGJ is reported to feel very tight and composed, with the M20 2.0ltr straight six engine, the power feeds in with ease through the automatic  transmission and is super smooth. Likewise, the suspension is reported to emit no creaks or groans and rides beautifully. Finished in Luxor beige, the shut lines are narrow and consistent throughout and all panels have a deep mirror like finish. Inside, the E30 cabin is small but perfectly formed, dashboard ergonomics are superb, seating is excellent, and the vendor reports all gauges to work without fault. According to paperwork on file, this car has only travelled just under 10,000 miles in the last 10 years and only recently had a cambelt change by Chandlers BMW around 4,500 miles ago. The speedometer reading of 90,200 is warranted and the car comes with its original BMW dealer handbook pack, V5 log book, and a new MoT certificate. In 1992, time was called on one of the defining cars of a generation, after a run of nearly 2.3 million the book was closed on a motoring legend. Completely original cars such as this are few and far between, grab a good one now as prices are on the rise.     Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

British classic top-down motoring at its finest...The Triumph TR6, built from 1968 to 76 was a British six-cylinder sports car and the best-seller of the Triumph TR range when production ended in July 1976 and this record was only surpassed by the TR7. Of the 94,619 TR6s produced, 86,249 were exported with only 8,370 sold in the UK and current data shows that just 2,723 remain on British roads. Previously restored, this fuel injected example shows an odometer reading of 82,500 miles with an MoT until August 2016 and four new Avon tyres. It will make an ideal Spring project should the buyer want to go as far as preparing a car to 'Concours' standards, but is currently a great usable classic.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Devon Conversion Camper Van - Rare twin Slider 1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Devon Conversion Camper Van - Rare twin Slider

1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Devon Conversion Camper Van - Rare twin Slider

Lot #239 (Sale Order 61 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0 L 1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Camper van - rare twin slider (VW Camper) manual that has been with the current owner for the last 8 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 101/135. An attractive right-hand drive, twin-slider T2 Camper Van. We are told this Camper has many rare features including all its original glass which is unusual with a full Devon conversion. In addition, it's fitted with twin sliding doors with a full camper conversion which is a rare combination.  Supplied with a fresh MoT certificate valid until March 2017, the vendor believes this VW Camper to be mechanically very, very good, an opinion confirmed by the team at Voodoo Works VWs, experts in these vehicles. Externally this Camper is excellent, having been fully rebuilt in 2007 with the paintwork refreshed in 2014, and recently enjoyed taking pride of place on the club stand at the Classic Car Show. Finished in White over Golden Yellow, it's as bright as a Free Range Egg. Owned by the current vendor for some 8 years, he has made a point of putting it into storage each Winter to ensure that it remains snug and dry. There are folders full of history relating to the car including receipts for work carried out, regular maintenance and photos of the original conversion. Described as a very practical classic and definitely 'cool', this cracking little VW has been to Cornwall and back many times and has proved completely reliable.  Headline features are: Very Rare Twin Slider Van Leisure Battery Full bodywork overhaul and respray in July 2014 by Voodoo Works (Nick @ Marsh Farm) Full storage and wardrobe Fully Rebuilt 2l Flat Four Engine (Drives Perfectly) Petrol built-in heater (I haven't used this in a couple of years so would recommend a service before using) Retro vinyl covered front seats 24v hook up Rock and Roll Bed with lap belts 2x 12v power outlets Original wheels with chrome hubcaps Extra Air intake and oil pressure gauges Pop Top Central Table 2 Ring Stove 5 internal lights Grill Toilet facilities Pioneer CD System Sink and Water Pump Fridge (Runs on Gas and Electrics)   Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1972 Rover 2000SC 1972 Rover 2000SC

1972 Rover 2000SC

Lot #240 (Sale Order 62 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1972 Rover 2000 SC manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. On its introduction in late 1963, the Rover 2000 was regarded with disbelief. Apart from its amazing looks, it was technically innovative with a De Dion Tube, inboard discs, full synchromesh gearbox and 'unibody' construction and was unlike anything else, apart from the Citroen DS19 from which it had 'borrowed' a few ideas. The interior was also completely unfamiliar with its strange dashboard with a 'linear' speedo and toggle switches. Hard to believe that the design is nearly 55 years old and sadly, this turned out to be one of the last proper Rovers. They are becoming increasingly rare on today's roads, especially in what appears to be original condition, and that's why this two owner, Series II, 2000SC is such a pleasant surprise. It has covered a mere 60,000 miles from its birth in 1972 and has 30 old MoTs to back this fact up. It comes with its original handbook and some receipts but more recently the current vendor treated the Rover to a full stainless steel exhaust and some period correct, new tyres. The black leather interior is in great order and it wouldn't take much to return this car to a super example of ground-breaking thinking from the British car industry. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1966 Mercedes-Benz 230S Fintail 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230S Fintail

1966 Mercedes-Benz 230S Fintail

Lot #241 (Sale Order 63 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2300L 1966 Mercedes 230S Fintail manual. Coming with no history file, this lot's condition scores 79/135. The futuristic looking 'Fintail. ... In Summer 1965, the new Mercedes-Benz W108 sedan was launched and production of the first generation of W111s ended. Earlier in May, Mercedes-Benz gave its budget-range W110 Series a major facelift, opting to continue producing the W111 as a new model 230S. The previously 4-cylinder W110, received a 6-cylinder but was practically identical in terms of chassis and drivetrain. The 230S became a flagship model of the Mercedes-Benz mid-range cars, effectively predecessors to today's E-class.The 230S was visually identical to the 220S, with a modernised 2306 cm3 M180 engine with twin Zenith carburettors producing 120 horsepower at 5400 rpm. Top speed 176 km/h (109 mph) (174 km/h (108 mph) on auto), acceleration 13 seconds (15 on auto). In this final configuration, a total of 41,107 cars were built through January 1968, when the last of 4-door 'fintails' left the production line. Between 1959 and 1968 a total of 337,803 W111s were builtThis particular car has come back to our shores from South Africa as a fresh import and really does look stunning with its deep black coachwork and contrasting red leather upholstery. The car is showing 116,000 miles which looks to be correct but cannot be warranted. It has not yet been registered in the UK, so the new owner will be the first on the log book. Lot #242 (Sale Order 64 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.4L 2000 Ford F-150 Lightning SVT Pickup automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 92/135. A fabulous Ford F-150 Lightning SVT Pick-Up reading just 53,200 miles... Introduced in 1948, the F-Series was the first post-war truck design from Ford, and for the first time was no longer based upon an existing car chassis, but on a dedicated truck platform. The F-150 is the biggest selling car in American history, with some 30,000,000 units sold and with one new car being sold every 25 seconds, however, it's still a relatively rare sight on British roads. This well presented left-hand drive pick up was imported into the UK in 2012 and has the private UK registration number J20 SVT. Specification includes a limited slip differential, Eaton supercharger, Alcantara and leather seats, and a Leer fibreglass rear bed tonneau cover in matching colour. We are told a recent oil service was carried out with new plugs, oil, air and fuel filters, front brake pads and at the same time, new electric door mirrors were fitted. The original handbook, service schedule and wallet together with a copy of the original build sheet are present. This pick-up has been owned by the current owner for two years and is described as being in good all round condition. A good looking 'truck' and just a bit different.   Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1939 Fiat Topolino - Ex Duke of Westminster 1939 Fiat Topolino - Ex Duke of Westminster

1939 Fiat Topolino - Ex Duke of Westminster

Lot #244 (Sale Order 66 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 569L 1939 Fiat Topolino manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. A remarkable 1939 Fiat Topolino with right-hand drive and only 1,593 miles indicated. This quirky little Fiat was born on the 14th of September 1939 and was ordered new by the second Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, and subsequently registered at the Westminster family seat Eaton Hall in Cheshire. It was transferred to his Dublin estate during World War II, and then shipped back to Eaton Hall after the war. Upon the Duke's death in 1953, the car was transferred to the Dowager Duchess and remained part of the family until 1986 when the current vendor came across it. These facts are confirmed within the original 'Buff Logbook' which is supplied with the car. Under our vendor's care, the little Fiat was duly stripped and had a restoration that included a rebuild of the engine. The car is said to drive well, and with its rare Ducal provenance, will make a great addition to anyone's collection and would be welcome anywhere. 1991 BMW 850i E31 V12 Automatic

Lot #247 (Sale Order 69 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.0L 1991 BMW 850i automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 77/135. Elegant grand tourer showing a mere 38,000 miles. Supplied with its original service book, with twelve stamps and accompanied by eleven old MoT certificates. BMW's flagship car in its day, the 8 Series (chassis code E31) built between 1989 and 1999 was powered by either a V8 or the silky smooth V12 engine. This well presented 1991 BMW 850i 5.0 litre V12 automatic, was first registered in March 1991 and has had four owners from new. Finished in Oxford Blue with an excellent Grey Leather interior and sitting on the correct wheels this stylish BMW Coupé looks well cared for. As a general rule, we find that owners who are fastidious about the way they keep a car's paperwork, apply the same level of care to looking after their car. The 850 is a complex motor car and are becoming rare and a well-maintained example will surely prove a good investment. Lot #248 (Sale Order 70 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.4L 1962 Jaguar Mark 2 automatic. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 70/135. The iconic MkII Jaguar in need of some TLC...With the increasing popularity of this model and prices of restored examples reaching high into the £40,000 range, this venerable Jag would make a fine buy for someone wishing to get into MkII ownership. Recently returned home from Australia, this automatic car has worn well over the years possibly helped by the warm climate. The entry form describes the car as Fair to Good in most areas, and we are led to believe that the car does have a good history file, so really it's up to potential purchasers to assess how much work they think might be involved. The good news is that parts are plentiful, and the prices being achieved for MkIIs, are unlikely to come down anytime soon! 1973 Jenson Interceptor III

Lot #249 (Sale Order 71 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 7.2L 1973 Jenson Interceptor Srs III automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a history file, this lot's condition scores 19/135. Barn find 1973 Jensen Interceptor Series III...Driven into a corner of a big dry barn until its owner was able to use it again, sadly, this dramatic white Interceptor was to remain there, untouched for 30 years until now, when it recently emerged, blinking into the sunlight. Supplied by Charles Follett of Berkeley Street in September 1973, this Jensen had been enjoyed by three owners until it came into the possession of Alan McKechnie in mid-1983. Alan was perhaps best-known as the man who gave Nigel Mansell his first drive but he also played a part in the racing careers of Andy Rouse, Barrie Williams, Mike Walker, Bob Evans and Alan Rollinson, created the Puma Formula 3 car and his team, Alan Mckechnie Racing, won the European F5000 Championship in 1974. When extracted from the barn, the Jensen moved freely on its wheels and appears to sit all square. The Black Leather interior looks in reasonable shape and a couple of days cleaning could work miracles. The floors and inner arches appear sound but obviously, the car is in need of restoration. It's hoped to have it running by the time of the auction. Potential buyers are invited to form their own opinion as to the viability of this project but with immaculate Interceptors following Aston Martins in terms of saleability, the numbers invite serious consideration. This Sleeping Beauty is looking for a Handsome Prince. 1979 Triumph Dolomite Sprint

Lot #250 (Sale Order 72 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1979 Triumph Dolomite Sprint manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A cheerful Triumph Dolomite Sprint reading 57,130 miles...The Triumph Dolomite was a popular small saloon car produced by the Triumph Motor Company division of the British Leyland Corporation in Canley, Coventry between October 1972 and August 1980. Although the Dolomite proved to be refined and rapid, competitors such as the BMW 2002 had a performance advantage which was costing Triumph dearly, both in terms of sales and prestige. To remedy this, Triumph unveiled the Dolomite Sprint in June 1973. This car was first registered in the UK in March 1979, subsequently exported to Ireland in 2006 and was recently re-imported back to the UK. We are told that the car has previously been restored and is said to present in lovely condition. This car will be UK re-registered before the sale and is supplied with a fresh MoT certificate valid until February 2017. There were less than 650 Dolomite Sprints licensed or SORN in the UK last year so the cars are becoming an increasingly rare sight on our roads but, more importantly, they are great fun to drive.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1973 Aston Martin V8

Lot #251 (Sale Order 73 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.34L 1973 Aston Martin V8 manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 47/135. An exciting and important 'barn find' 1973 Aston Martin V8 for re-commissioning. Purchased by the current vendor for just this purpose, however a burgeoning collection and business commitments mean that the car has been reluctantly offered for sale. This is the desirable manual version of the carburetted 5.3 litre AMV8 and is a Series II with the louvered rear vents and Aston Martin Lagonda embossed cam covers. Just 288 of these cars were produced, mostly with automatic transmission. The Series III, Weber carburetted cars were launched in August 1973, and the registration of this car in September 1973 overlaps this transition from fuel injection to carbs, suggesting that this is one of the last of the David Brown-era AMV8s. The car is in need of substantial re-commissioning, with particular attention required to the MoT fail list of 2013. The leather interior is in remarkably good order and the odometer reading of nearly 7,000 miles may well indicate that it has 'gone round the clock' Exterior: 1/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 2/5, Transmission: 2/5, Running gear: 1/5, Electrics: 1/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #252 (Sale Order 74 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.1L 1968 Morris Moke manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 91/135. A wonderfully restored 1968 Morris Mini Moke showing 37,857 miles. The first Mokes were built at BMC's Longbridge, Birmingham plant. They gained notoriety in the TV show 'The Prisoner' and were often a lifestyle choice in a host of period TV programmes shows and films since. It seems every James Bond film had a jumpsuited baddie behind the wheel, and Roger Moore famously drove one in 'Live and Let Die'. This impressive 1968, original UK supplied Moke (chassis number MAB1118629A) was first registered in November of that year, and has previously benefitted from a full body-off and engine out restoration of which there is a photographic record present. Supplied with a fresh MoT certificate valid until February 2017, this little eye catching swinging sixties number is ready for its next owner, and would not look out of place today at any beach, or Chelsea wine bar for that matter. The XR 4X4, a sporting saloon for all seasons...reviewed by Auto Express who said, "Compared to traditional rivals, the Sierra had staggering grip, a balanced chassis and an impressive turn of speed." A genuine one-owner car showing 97,000 miles and accompanied by a stamped service booklet. The current vendor found this car and put it back on the road after a mechanical re-commissioning, making a great base for someone to finish it off and get the right look. 1975 Innocenti Mini Cooper

Lot #254 (Sale Order 76 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.38L 1975 Innocenti Mini Cooper manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. 1975 Mini Cooper Innocenti 1380cc. Fitted with chrome trimmed quarter lights, windows, doors and boot. Originally built in Belgium (under licence) in 1975 and subsequently imported into the UK in 1983 and converted to right-hand drive. It is believed the car was totally rebuilt in 1983 by Downton Engineering, although this is unsupported by any factual evidence as no paperwork is present. The engine was uprated at this time to 1380cc. The car is now showing approximately 13,950 kms, however, we understand that there is a likelihood that the odometer may have been zeroed or the speedometer changed to suit the revised gearing at the time of the rebuild. This little Mini has been sitting for the last fifteen to twenty years in Portugal and has recently returned to the UK. This car will be supplied on a NOVA with a fresh UK MoT certificate, and is currently Portuguese registered.    Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #256 (Sale Order 78 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.8L 2003 MG MGF manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 73/135. A good looking MGTF with a Hard TopFinished in Blue with White Stripes and white wheels, this dapper little MGTF is showing 61,000 miles which the current vendor believes is correct. The car has both a soft and the optional hard top, which were quite expensive when the car was new, and consequently are now quite rare. Head gaskets on this model could be a problem initially but this car has been upgraded, along with a new timing belt, water pump and front discs. Often underrated, these little TFs go well, handle well, have a well-designed cockpit and are lots of fun.  Exterior: 2/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1999 BMW Z3M

Lot #257 (Sale Order 79 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.2L 1999 BMW Z3M manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A bright red pocket rocket...BMW's Z3M Roadster is a true driver's car, and this, 41,000-mile car is no exception. Originally supplied by Rydale BMW, and then serviced by Sytner, the car went to Italy for a few years, then returned home last year. Whilst over in Italy it was serviced by a BMW dealership and the appropriate invoices are with the car. It has recently been serviced over here and a brand new set of Bridgestone tyres have been popped on. This Z3M looks stunning in Bright Red with a striking 'Individual' Red/Black interior and a body coloured Hardtop which was a £2,000 option when new. It's supplied with two sets of keys, original book pack and an MoT until March 2017 and presents itself as you might expect from a well-maintained, low mileage BMW 'M'car that has patently been cared for. 1966 Ford Cortina MK 2 1500GT 1966 Ford Cortina MK 2 1500GT

1966 Ford Cortina MK 2 1500GT

Lot #258 (Sale Order 80 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.498L 1966 ford cortina manual that has been with the current owner for the last 8 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 86/135. An extremely well presented Cortina GT...Introduced in autumn 1966, the Ford Cortina MKII was styled in-house by Roy Haynes. Employing much the same floor pan as its predecessor complete with independent front suspension, a 'live' rear axle and disc / drum brakes, it nevertheless benefited from a wider track and revised steering geometry. Second only to the MKII Cortina-Lotus, the MKII Cortina GT was initially powered by a pre-crossflow 1498cc OHV four-cylinder engine allied to four-speed manual transmission (complete with new diaphragm clutch and three-rail remote gearchange). With some 78bhp and 97lbft of torque on tap, the model had a suitably sporty feel. Further boasting an enlarged fuel tank, optional radial tyres and dashtop-mounted auxiliary instrument binnacle, it was supplanted by the commoner 1600cc crossflow version in August 1967. Finished in Alpina Green with black vinyl upholstery, this particular example was reportedly "the twenty-eighth MKII Cortina GT produced". A two-door export model that still retains its correct sump / petrol tank guards and reinforced bodyshell, the Ford was supplied new in Singapore to ex-pat Mr Eardley who then returned home with it in 1970. The subject of some bodywork restoration during the early 1990s (paint and a pair of NOS front wings) 'PUA 304D' entered the current (fourth) ownership in March 2005. Since then, the saloon is understood to have had attention paid to its "wheel bearings, brakes, propshaft, suspension, steering, clutch, radiator, dynamo, starter motor, exhaust, differential and distributor". Subtly upgraded with Gaz Gold black anodised adjustable front struts, it is said to "handle like a dream but look period under the bonnet". In 2007, we understand the cylinder head was converted to an unleaded Stage 2 specification. This car was owned at one point by the Membership Secretary of the Lotus Cortina Club and is well-known in these circles. These early MkII GTs, with the strengthened shell, are now pretty rare and sought after by the growing band of sixties fast Ford enthusiasts. A great car for Goodwood. Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1979 BMW 728 Manual

Lot #259 (Sale Order 81 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.800L 1979 BMW 728 manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. A 58,000 mile 728 Manual... What a rare find. This BMW 728 four speed manual has had two owners from new who are actually related and there is documentation in the form of letters confirming this fact. The car has just come back home from Belgium, where it sat in a private collection and still has the original old style V5 along with all its proper handbooks and a stamped service book from when it was on the road. The car has been restored, although we are not quite sure at what point in its life, but it presents very well indeed today. It did suffer from overheating issues which this model was prone to at the time, however the engine was completely rebuilt by Burton Engineering and there is documentation to verify this. This is such a time warp car and oozes charisma. Being the base model it was supplied with only one door mirror, wind-up windows and no radio, but interestingly enough it does have an electric sunroof. Along with the original handbooks and history is a folder of receipts for work that has been carried out over the years. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1966 Daimler 2.5 V8 1966 Daimler 2.5 V8

1966 Daimler 2.5 V8

Lot #260 (Sale Order 82 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.5L 1966 Daimler MkII 2.5 V8 automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 76/135. A usable Daimler 2.5 V8 in need of a light refurbishment. This lovely classic was previously restored back in 1994 at a cost of around £12,000 but has had very little use until recently. Offered with a fresh MoT certificate until February 2017, this is an original UK supplied car that was first registered in England in April 1966, before being exported to Ireland in 2007 and recently re-imported to the UK. This car will be fully UK re-registered before the sale. We are told this car will need some light restoration. Said to start up first time, and to drive and stop well, this car has spent some time outside and displays a little surface rust on the dark Green paintwork and on the brightwork with the exception of the chrome wire wheels which look good. The interior is complete and the Cream leather seats have no holes or rips, however the dashboard veneers are flaking in places and could do with a little tlc. These 2.5ltr Daimlers were more powerful and handled better than their 2.4ltr MkII cousins, and despite being better equipped and having that fluted grille and Daimler badge, they have remained better value. Exterior: 2/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1985 Morgan 4/4 1600

Lot #261 (Sale Order 83 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.6L 1985 Morgan 4/4 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 74/135. Two owners and just under 14,000 miles...The Morgan 4/4 was the Morgan Motor Company's first car with four wheels and appeared in 1936. Its model designation "4-4" (later "4/4") stood for four wheels and four cylinders. Earlier Morgans had been three-wheelers, only, typically with V-twin engines. Apart from a break during World War II (and the period March 1951 to September 1955) the 4/4 has been in continuous production from its debut right up to the present day. Engine capacity has increased from the 1,122 cc Coventry Climax engine in 1936 to a 1.8-litre Ford engine in 2004 ( with a 997cc Kent engine between 1960 and 1961), although it is currently back down to 1,595 cc. This delightful, two owner car has the added benefit of two rear seats, two tonneau covers and the (obligatory) wet-weather pack that includes sides windows and the hood. Dry stored since its purchase in 1995 by our vendor from its first lady owner, the car is never used in winter. If you are in the market for a Morgan the chances are you will know a fair bit about them and this cracking Dark Green 4/4, with an MoT until June 2016, awaits your inspection.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1998 Jaguar XK8 Coupe

Lot #262 (Sale Order 84 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.0L 1998 Jaguar XK8 automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 86/135. A 1998 Jaguar XK8 reading just 54,500 miles...This example looks great in Meteorite Silver with its Oatmeal leather interior and comes with a fantastic range of options, including a memory pack (seats and wheel), heated seats and windscreen, 18" alloy wheels, cruise control and a thumping Harmann Kardon stereo with a six-disc CD multichanger. Its previous owner was stationed in the Far East for a number of years so the car was barely used, accounting for its low overall mileage of just 54,500 miles from new. The paintwork is described as factory original, apart from the front bumper which was repainted in 2002. Sitting on a set of matching Pirelli tyres, it had an oil and brake service in March last year at 50,107 miles, and there is a history folder supplied with the car showing much expenditure over the years. Supplied with an MoT certificate valid until January 2017, this beautiful car is ready to use and is being sold with a useful fitted indoor/outdoor car cover. 1980 Range Rover 3 Door 1980 Range Rover 3 Door

1980 Range Rover 3 Door

Lot #263 (Sale Order 85 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1980 Rover Range Rover automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 56/135. A rare automatic three-door Range Rover...As an icon of British engineering, style and function the Range Rover launched the luxury 4x4 market and needs no introduction. This important and rare automatic example was first registered on the 17th November 1980. The polished rosewood door cappings, centre cubby box and automatic transmission leads us to believe that this car may have been an "In-Vogue" Wood & Pickett Range Rover. Launched in August 1980, only 1,000 examples, all for the UK market, were produced to suit those with a need for a little more luxury. The limited "In-Vogue" range proved such a hit that the Range Rover Vogue became the flagship premium model range a few years later, only superseded by the 'Autobiography' in the mid-2000s. Coming from a private collection and owned by our discerning vendor since 2003, this car shows a mere 87,166 miles and is supplied with a raft of old MoTs and the original Range Rover Passport to Service handbook. Requiring re-commissioning, this car would make a great Spring project and with a bit of homework, the new owner may be rewarded with the confirmation of the "In-Vogue" provenance.   Exterior: 2/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 2/5, Transmission: 2/5, Running gear: 2/5, Electrics: 2/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

2000 BMW 750IL 2000 BMW 750IL

2000 BMW 750IL

Lot #264 (Sale Order 86 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.379L 2000 BMW 750iL automatic. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 100/135. The E38 7 Series is considered by many BMW fans to be the best 7 of all time, with its combination of class, speed, handling, and square-jawed good looks never having been bettered by BMW. Add into that mix the kudos of a V12 badge, and here was a car for people who needed four comfortable seats but desired the performance and style of a continental sports saloon. For a car that is 16 years old, the Titanium Silver coachwork is reported to be in beautiful condition throughout, with superb panel fit and doors that close with a thud. Badged as an 'L' for long wheelbase, this was BMWs flagship car and as such came with a huge specification including electric rear seats, rear blinds, foot rests, upgraded HiFi system, sat nav, cruise, the list goes on. With a relatively low mileage of just under 70,000 (warranted) from new, the car is reported to drive beautifully. We are informed there is a full service history from new, mainly from BMW main agents and one independent specialist with supporting invoicing from 2006 totalling just under £15,000. The 'M' parallel alloys have recently been refurbished and help the car stand out along with its distinctive V12 number plate. Sold with a fresh MoT certificate, this 750 ticks all the right boxes and is perhaps the best compromise between style and sheer value of any modern classic currently available.   Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

TVR TASMIN 350i TVR TASMIN 350i

TVR TASMIN 350i

Lot #265 (Sale Order 87 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1988 TVR TASMIN 350i manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 76/135. A handsome TVR 350i showing just 68,736 miles. In 1982, TVR's then new owner Peter Wheeler found himself wanting more power than the Cologne V6-equipped Tasmin 280i could offer. Thus, based on the existing car the Tasmin 350i appeared in August 1983 using the same chassis and body (with some minor changes) and powered by a lusty 3.5-litre Rover V8. After a year, the 'Tasmin' part of the name was dropped and the car became plain TVR 350i. Presented in sparkling red with a cream leather, piped in red, interior, this TVR 350i is described by the vendor as a clean and tidy car throughout. Fitted with power steering, the last service and a full inspection were carried out by a well-known marque specialist in November 2015 and new tyres were fitted at this time. Partial service history is present including the original TVR owner's handbook and service book. A fabulous entry into the exciting world of TVR ownership.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Jaguar XJ-SC Manual Cabriolet Jaguar XJ-SC Manual Cabriolet

Jaguar XJ-SC Manual Cabriolet

Lot #266 (Sale Order 88 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.6L 1986 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. A rare manual XJ-SC with 30-year ownership...In 1983, Jaguar débuted a new 3.6-litre, straight-six engine-the AJ6-as well as a new cabriolet version of the XJS to be known as the XJ-SC. The coupé's rather small rear seats were eliminated making the new model strictly a two-seater. The XJ-SC was not a full convertible but had a non-removable centre Targa-type structure and fixed cant rails above the doors. Demand for a convertible XJS was strong throughout the 1970s but proposed US convertible regulations had delayed the process. The desire to peel the lid off was great, famously, Lynx converted a number of XJS' into convertibles, but Jaguar's first open XJS took nearly a decade to appear after the car's launch. Requiring a cross brace hoop over the cabin to effectively replace the roof structure, a ‘perimeter frame' around the cockpit, a slightly reinforced rear bulkhead, and a bracing frame across the body-shell under the rear suspension, the end result was, ironically, a much more rigid car. Six-cylinder XJ-SC' are rarer, with only 1,130 made, the majority of which (1,027)  had manual gearboxes. This beautifully maintained XJ-SC, was bought less than a year after first registration by our vendor in 1987. The soft top, panels and tonneau are all original as is the leather interior but last year Cheshire Classics refurbished the seats using the original leather. Jaguar Main Dealer serviced up to 40,000 miles, the car was then given to a capable garage close to the vendor's home who have looked after it for the past 20,000 miles. Presented to auction with the original tool kit, manuals and service books, a fresh service and a new MoT, the car will be driven from the vendor's home, a journey of over 120 miles, to the auction.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1983 Ford Escort RS1600i

Lot #267 (Sale Order 89 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.6L 1983 Ford RS1600i manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 89/135. The Ford Escort RS1600i was built purely to meet Group A homologation regulations and was the first genuine challenger to the Golf GTI, offering more power, and significantly more developed suspension - so it could outgrip the Wolfsburg icon. But due to limited numbers and high price - as well as being sold through Rallye Sport dealers only, they were harder to come by and were sold quickly. When the car received fuel injection - and a power hike - the following year, the gap was closed ever further.Surprisingly effective in touring cars back then, and now extremely rare and highly sought after. This particular car has a folder full of history and receipts and has been cherished by its previous owners, a couple of which were part of the RS club scene, so this car is well known in these circles. The car clearly has had ongoing restoration works to keep it in the condition it's in today. This RS is ready to commence the new season with a new owner! Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Offered for sale is a 3.996L 1998 Jaguar XJR automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 86/135. The ultimate gentleman's sporting express? With just 45,000 miles indicated, this Jaguar must surely be a special find. We certainly have not seen another in this condition and although this car has been in storage for the best part of eleven years, it was serviced prior to this by Jaguar main dealers Guy Salmon of Coventry. Fitted with stainless steel performance exhausts, which perfectly complement the V8's great throaty roar. The cabin is a very nice place to be, as one would expect from a Jaguar, with the seats and controls showing little if any, signs of wear. Presented to auction with a fresh MoT this is a lot of car for the money.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #269 (Sale Order 91 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.00L 1966 Ford V8 Notchback automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. The Iconic 60's Mustang...Purchased by the current vendor whilst on holiday in Australia rather than hiring a car, this Mustang was pressed into service for a month of touring. In the end, he loved it so much he shipped it back to the UK. It's an honest and straight car with good shut lines and has a tidy interior finished in a contrasting colour and the whole look epitomises the 'swinging sixties'. It is said to drive well and the vendor covered 3,000 miles in it whilst over in Australia. The car is currently showing 63,000 miles and many more miles of pleasurable V8 driving is ahead of it. The photographs show the car on 'tour' in Australia, whilst we await more photographs of it as it looks today in the English countryside. 2005 Maserati Quattroporte

Lot #270 (Sale Order 92 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.2L 2005 Maserati Quattroporte automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. Pure bred luxury...The fifth generation of the Quattroporte was unveiled to the world at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 9 September 2003 with production starting in 2004, and boasted exterior and interior design by Pininfarina. Offered here is a dynamic 2005 Maserati Quattroporte equipped with the DuoSelect transmission. It boasts a 4244cc, V8 powerplant with 395bhp on tap, and is a fine example of the marque having lived a cherished life as an executive limousine for some years.  Finished in Grigio Alfieri with matching Charcoal alloys and a sumptuous Grey/Green leather. It's impossible to sit in one of these cars and look at the 'dreamy' dashboard and not wonder how it's possible to buy so much car for so little money but, as they say, that's life. The V8 engines of the fifth generation Quattroporte belonged to the "Ferrari-Maserati F136" family; they had aluminium-silicon alloy block and heads, a cross plane crankshaft, four valves per cylinder driven by two overhead camshafts per bank and continuously variable valve timing on the intake side. F136 4.2-litre engines in DuoSelect equipped cars use a dry sump lubrication system. This particular example had the F1 gearbox pump replaced in 2015. Please note the private plate is not included and the car will be sold with the registration number GN54 YLF.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Offered for sale is a 1.8L 1963 MG Roadster manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A two owner MGB...This wonderful roadster is an early car ( built in 1963) and resided with its first owner until 1993 when the current owner stumbled across it in a run-down state. Major restoration works were undertaken over the following three years. A Heritage Certificate was issued, clarifying its authenticity. The car has continued to benefit from further fettling and is now in top order and looking as good as the photographs suggest. There is no vehicle history up until 1993, but the current vendor has receipts and bills from the time of his purchase until now. This is a wonderful example of the more desirable series I MGB and is ready to do all the things that MGBs do best.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1996 Lexus GS 300 Sport 1996 Lexus GS 300 Sport

1996 Lexus GS 300 Sport

Lot #272 (Sale Order 94 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.997L 1996 Lexus GS 300 Sport automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 76/135. The first generation Lexus GS 300 Sport was never built at the factory; it was actually converted at supplying dealers across the UK in very small numbers which consequently makes this a rare car. Based on the standard GS 300 Saloon, the 'Sport' package was very subtle in appearance, consisting of a boot rear spoiler, mesh front grille, 'Sport' decals to the rear quarter lights, lowered suspension, and 'Sport' alloy wheels with the option of larger, staggered 10'' rear alloys, as fitted to this car. P633 FEJ was actually supplied new by Cutlers of Streetly Ltd, Sutton Coldfield, on the 12th of August 1986. The vendor informs us that the car drives without fault, the engine, gearbox and differential all work perfectly, as do the brakes. The only non-standard item has been the addition of a custom exhaust. The Metallic Silver bodywork is very straight, with deep glossy paintwork and good shut lines. There is some stone chipping to the front bumper and bonnet, and there is a scratch on the OSR quarter about 10cm long, however  that's about all and the car is reported to be as good underneath as it is on top. The vendor informs us of a service bill of £2,200 in 2014, and the car has a current MoT until November of this year. With the car is the original Lexus dealer hand pack, which includes all handbooks, service book, previous MoTs, VOSA MOT report, HPI Certificate and even the original sales brochure. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #273 (Sale Order 95 of 138)

Offered for sale is a .767L 1970 Fiat 600D manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. Sample some La Dolce Vita in a 600D...Dare to stand out from the crowd with this great alternative to the more common 500. This little gem has lived in Naples all its life and was the subject of a complete restoration in 2013 to a high standard prior to coming over to the UK last year. The car is showing 66,603 kms (41,385 mls) which we believe is correct, however cannot be warranted. The Fiat is Road Tax Exempt and will have a fresh MoT for the new owner, together with a brand new set of tyres. Interestingly, the 600 has the Italian equivalent to the old UK "buff log book", which is great to have with the car, especially if you can read Italian. 1966 Ford Mustang 289 2+2 Fastback

Lot #274 (Sale Order 96 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.7L 1966 Ford Mustang 289 V8 manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 128/135. The Mighty Mustang... This is the 'must have' model, the 289 V8 Fastback with the desirable 'four on the floor' manual gearbox. Originating from the States naturally, this 2+2 Fastback has been subject to a very, very serious restoration. The car has had new wings, rear quarters, doors, and floors prior to being carefully prepared and finished in a number of coats of Sauterne Gold. The engine has been rebuilt along with the gearbox and the whole car is now about as good as your going to find.Along with the bodywork and the mechanicals, the interior has also been the subject to the same attention to detail and has had new seat covers, carpets, headlining and all the interior brightwork finished to the same standard as the external paintwork. The car has had two upgrades, one being a full disc brake conversion and secondly the radiator has been replaced with an aluminium one for better cooling. Should the lucky new owner want to revert back to the old set up then the components will be available.Underneath, the car is apparently as good as the top, and has been finished to a very high standard and it sits on re-finished steel sports wheels fitted with period tyres. Our points system at CCA lets vendors score their own cars, and at 128/135 this car is way, way up there. Come and have a look at the sheer quality of this restoration and let us know what you think. Lot #275 (Sale Order 97 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.5L 1987 Alfa Romeo Sprint Cloverleaf manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 91/135. A one owner from new, Alfa Cloverleaf Sprint... This 63,000 km., left-hand drive, Alfa Romeo Sprint 'Quadrifoglio Verde' has recently arrived from Spain and looks very sharp indeed in sparkling Black with Bright Green detailing indicating that it's a 1500. The current vendor had a complete glass out respray and confirms that the metal work underneath was surprisingly sound. The Sprint comes with its full original book pack and has a documented service record by dedicated Alfa dealerships in Spain. The car has now had a fresh service and a cam belt change and with such a small mileage it still feels tight and gives the feeling of a car a fraction of its age. Manufactured right at the end of 1.5ltr production, this Cloverleaf is quite a rare car and will be a great addition to anyone's collection. The new owner will also be its second, and the first over here in the UK as it has not yet been registered, although it has its NOVA certificate. 1992 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet

Lot #276 (Sale Order 98 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.0L 1992 Porsche 944 S2 Cabrio manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A well presented convertible...In 1989, the 944 S2 Porsche was introduced, powered by a 211 PS normally aspirated, dual-overhead-cam 16-valve 3.0 L version of the 944 S engine. It was the largest production 4-cylinder engine of its time. The 944 S2 also received a revised transmission and gearing to better suit the 3.0 L M44/41 powerplant and externally acquired the same rounded nose and rear valance found on the Turbo model. Performance numbers were quoted as 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds, with a top speed of 150 mph with the manual transmission. In 1989, Porsche introduced the S2 Cabriolet,  featuring an attractive cabriolet body built by ASC-American Sunroof Company at Weinsberg in Germany.  Presenting well today, this blue 944 S2 Cabrio was first registered in the UK in April 1992 and has covered 109,000 miles. We understand that it has had a new fully lined hood fitted at some point. Coming to auction with a large history file and a fresh MoT certificate to be issued.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1978 Bentley T2

Lot #277 (Sale Order 99 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 6.75L 1978 Bentley T2 automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. This is a beautiful example finished in Walnut Metallic with a Dark Brown leather interior and was previously owned by a Bentley Driver's Club Committee member. Built between 1977 and 1980, only 560 Bentley T2s were produced compared to 8,425 Silver Shadow IIs, and the T2 undercut its Rolls-Royce stablemate by £50 when new. Although nearly identical, the Bentley T2 had a rounded grille, and the double-winged motif proudly displayed on badges and hub-caps. The T2 was celebrated as a better driver's car than the T1 and was good for a top speed of 118mph. This delightful car has footrests in the rear and Lambswool over-rugs throughout. Supplied with a large history file containing a substantial number of invoices for previous maintenance with main agents and reputable specialists, and its original handbooks stored in a Bentley wallet. These cars, when kept in this condition, represent exceptional value and are getting harder to find. 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante 2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante

2000 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage Volante

Lot #278 (Sale Order 100 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.9L 2000 Aston Martin DB7 VANTAGE VOLANTE automatic that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. Beautifully presented in a great colour combination...The Aston Martin DB7 was the car that undoubtedly turned around the fortunes of a struggling Aston Martin, remaining in production from September 1994 until December 2004 and turning out to be the best-selling Aston ever. Styled by Ian Callum and influenced by Keith Helfet, the prototype was completed by November 1992 and debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1993. The six-cylinder DB7 was available as a Coupé or a Convertible and was positioned as an 'entry-level' model below the hand-built V8 Virage introduced a few years earlier. Over 7,000 were sold before it was replaced by the DB9, securing the future for Aston. In 1999, the more powerful DB7 V12 Vantage was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show. Its 5.9 litre, 48-valve, V12 engine produced 420 brake horse power fed through either a TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual or a ZF 5HP30 five-speed automatic gearbox. Aston Martin claimed it had a top speed of either 186 mph with the manual gearbox or 165 mph with the automatic gearbox, and would accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. This, incredibly well cared for DB7 Vantage Convertible, has covered a mere 35,000 miles and has been owned by our lady vendor since 2003. The Mendip Blue coachwork beautifully compliments the Parchment leather, piped in navy. Starting on the button, the V12 roars into life and the throaty exhaust  sounds a touch more purposeful than the somewhat underwhelming 3.2-litre engine it replaced in the earlier models. The service history is impeccable and the MoT is valid until July 2016.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1961 Wolseley 1500

Lot #279 (Sale Order 101 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.5L 1961 Wolseley 1500 manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 54/135. A bright little Wolseley 1500... The Wolseley 1500 and similar Riley One-Point-Five were produced from 1957 to 1965 and utilised the Morris Minor floor pan, suspension and steering but were fitted with the larger 1489 cc B-Series engine and an MG Magnette gearbox. The two models differed in detail with the Riley the most powerful by nearly 20 hp, having twin SU carburettors. The Wolseley was released in April 1957 and the Riley was launched in November, directly after the 1957 London Motor Show. The Series II arrived in May 1960, and the most notable external difference was the hidden boot and bonnet hinges. Interior storage was improved with the fitting of a full-width parcel shelf directly beneath the fascia. This 1961 model is the Series II and looks delightful in two-tone Green, having travelled only 58,000 miles which the vendor believes is correct but is not warranted. It has an MoT until December 2016 and is obviously road tax free. This could be a great little entry into classic car ownership. 1985 Ford Sierra XR8

Lot #280 (Sale Order 102 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.0L 1985 Ford XR8 manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. A Sierra Muscle Car? The XR-8 was produced by Ford for the South African market only, to honour the homologation requirements that would enable them to take part in Group One saloon car racing in that country between '84 and '88. The regulations stipulated that 200 identical cars had to have been made available, but Ford did better than that by building 250 and selling the first 200 before the first race. So it was their XR4i effectively, only a whole lot more interesting and considerably more rare.  This particular car was imported by its South African owner who owned it from new, has had three owners in total and has travelled relatively few miles. With Sierra RS500 models fetching Ferrari money, this car is a real contender for future icon status. The car comes with a huge history file backing up its credentials, and the V8 rumble is a delight. 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500E Saloon

Lot #281 (Sale Order 103 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.0L 1992 Mercedes Benz W124 500E automatic. Coming with no history file, this lot's condition scores 92/135. An autobahn cruiser par excellence...Supplied new to the European market in 1992 and then exported to Japan in 1997, where it enjoyed the salt-free roads. Finished in Brilliant Silver with black perforated leather and polished burr walnut trim. This attractive, left hand drive Mercedes-Benz 500E is reading 105,000 kms (65,000 miles). Its factory specification includes original AMG aerodynamic body styling, genuine AMG Aero two-piece light alloy wheels (8.5J front, 9.5J rear) uprated sports suspension, air conditioning, electrically operated front seats with 2 stage heating and driver memory, electrically operated slide and tilt sunroof in steel, cruise control, rear head restraints, electric windows, rear roller blind and electric mirrors, outside temp indicator, front fog lights and the list goes on. Since initial registration, this car has had the addition of E500 cosmetic upgrades, namely a facelift bonnet and clear front and rear lenses along with HID headlamps for improved night time visibility. This 500E will have a service and health check by a Mercedes-Benz main agent before the sale and is offered today with handbooks and spare keys. A UK V5C registration document is also present along with a fresh MoT certificate that shows no advisories. This cracking little 1989 Mini City 1000 was restored approximately 7/8 years ago and still looks in fine fettle today. The car sits well on its Ultralite alloy wheels, looks great in Grey with its Black Roof and black wheel arch extensions and is said to drive very well for its age. 1987 Fiat Strada Abarth 130TC 1987 Fiat Strada Abarth 130TC

1987 Fiat Strada Abarth 130TC

Lot #283 (Sale Order 105 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1987 FIAT Abarth 130TC manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. A rare Fiat Abarth showing just 8,928 miles. The Fiat Strada 130TC Abarth was a fascinating left-field entry into the 'hot hatch' wars of the 1980s. The 130TC was a drivers' car, posting better performance figures than the omnipresent Golf GTI and in a world where fuel injection ruled the roost, Fiat produced the results with a pair of Weber carburettors and a 2.0-litre engine. Originally sold to the current vendor's girlfriend, this rare (we believe only four others are currently UK road registered), low-mileage (8,928) right-hand drive car was UK supplied, and may well have been one of the last imported.  The car benefited from a light mechanical overhaul several years ago, the paintwork is described by the vendor as original and the car sits on its Cromodora alloy wheels as delivered. It is currently on SORN and without a current MOT but is supplied with its bill of sale at the time of purchase (8/11/1987), original V5 logbook, tax disc and relevant handbooks. These cars are quick, great fun to drive and an affordable way into an eighties 'Hot Hatch'. With a little time and effort, this Abarth could soon be back on the road and with their relative rarity and style, these hot little Stradas are rapidly becoming very desirable.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Where to M'Lady? Not for the shy and retiring this Silver Spur, the long-wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit, could be a great company PR and marketing tool or used for prom nights or hen parties. This Rolls-Royce has every MoT bar one, from new until it was stored two years ago and comes with a folder full of receipts dating to the 1980s with bills totalling many thousands of pounds. 1968 Jaguar S Type 1968 Jaguar S Type

1968 Jaguar S Type

Lot #285 (Sale Order 107 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.8L 1968 Jaguar S Type manual that has been with the current owner for the last 3 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 86/135. A very well presented S-Type...The Jaguar S-Type was a major redevelopment of the Mark II. It used a mid-scale version of the Mark X independent rear suspension to replace the MkII's live rear axle and featured longer rear bodywork, among other styling and interior changes. The new model was available with either 3.4 or 3.8-litre XK engines but only in twin carburettor form as the triple carburettor setup would not fit into, what was essentially, still the Mark II engine bay. This S-Type has been the subject of an excellent restoration and the quality of the workmanship is evident on close inspection. As normal the complete bodywork was taken back to bare metal, panels replaced, carefully prepared and professionally painted in Old English White. Mechanically the car was given to acknowledged specialists, XK Engineering in Coventry for a complete engine overhaul and was converted to run on fuel injection and upgraded to a 5-speed gearbox. Their account was in excess of £13,000.The interior was the last area to be upgraded and now displays metres of fresh red leather, new matching carpets and the dashboard and door cappings were prepared and varnished with great effect, however, there are one or two small imperfections. With its wood rim steering wheel, five-speed box and new leather, the interior of this S-Type is a marvellous place to be. A proper restoration, of a proper Jaguar, needs a proper new owner.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

2010 Chesil Speedster

Lot #286 (Sale Order 108 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.8L 2010 Chesil Speedster manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 107/135. A lovely Chesil Speedster with just 5,498 miles from new... Porsche's first production car, the 356 was launched way back in 1948 and remained in production until 1965. Lightweight, nimble and exciting to drive, this iconic rear-engined air-cooled marvel began a cult that continues to this day, winning the hearts of generations of driving enthusiasts who revere the blend of speed, style and wayward engineering genius that is uniquely Porsche. Designed by Ferry Porsche and styled by Erwin Komenda, it began life with an air-cooled flat-four 1100cc Volkswagen engine producing just 40bhp and was effectively little more than a VW Beetle in a party frock. However, by a process of continual engineering refinement and improvement, it quickly grew into a world-class sports car and achieved success in such top events as Le Mans, the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio and Carrera Panamericana, as well as countless other races and rallies at local level. The 356 developed over the years and depending on the specification, provenance and perceived desirability they are on offer in today's market at anything from £50k to £1m. Naturally, in much the same way as the AC Cobra and the D-Type Jaguar, these high prices have spawned an industry of small manufacturers building replicas to cater for the many people who would love to own a genuine 356 but simply can't afford to. Probably the most highly respected of these is the Dorset based Chesil Car Company. Here we have a fabulous Chesil Speedster with just 5,498 miles from new...Presented in the traditional colour combination of Metallic Silver with full Biscuit leather interior, this 2010 high specification car has many options including full Californian leather and a  1.8 twin port engine. Described as immaculate, this car is registered correctly as a Chesil. Last serviced in September 2015 and having covered very few miles since this fabulous little Speedster is presented to auction with five previous MoT certificates including the present one which expires in September this year. This car is being sold from a private collection. Ready for the Summer. 1964 VW Beetle

Lot #287 (Sale Order 109 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.2L 1964 Volkswagen Beetle Saloon manual that has been with the current owner for the last 3 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. The Peoples Car...This smart looking, 1964 right-hand drive Beetle was purchased by our vendor as a gift for his son, as his first car. The Beetle was duly sent off to be completely stripped to a bare shell, and then step by step all the body work, suspension, chrome etc was restored prior to a professional respray and a retrim. The mechanics were inspected and overhauled but did not require any major re-building. The car looks very period-correct and has been restored sympathetically. After all this work, time, care and attention to detail, the vendor's son decided it was not the car for him!! Offered therefore as a quality restoration, this shiny blue Beetle is set to go and is ready to be enjoyed by a new, very grateful owner. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1990 Aston Martin Virage 1990 Aston Martin Virage

1990 Aston Martin Virage

Lot #288 (Sale Order 110 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.340L 1990 Astin Martin Virage manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 66/135. Introduced at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1988, the Virage was Aston Martin's replacement for the decades-old V8 models. It was joined by the high-performance Vantage in 1993, and the name of the standard car was changed to V8 Coupé in 1996. This V8 powered car was intended as the company's top model, with the 6-cylinder, DB7 of 1994 slotted in below it. Although the DB7 later switched to a V12 engine and claimed the performance crown, this V8 model remained the exclusive, expensive, and hand-built top of the range until it was replaced in 2000 with the Vanquish.  This second "barn find" Aston has been with the current vendor for five years, having bought it as a project. The car has been dry stored for a period and will obviously require a degree of re-commissioning. Fitted with the rare manual gearbox, the Aston was in running order when it went into hibernation. With its fairly comprehensive history file, this 34,000 mile Virage will make a very smart car indeed when finished. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 1/5, Transmission: 1/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1960 Oldsmobile Super 88 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88

1960 Oldsmobile Super 88

Lot #290 (Sale Order 112 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 6.44L 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88 automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 3 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A very special 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88.  A roaring, burbling, chrome worshiping, low-slung, choc-ice coloured, V8-laden beastie. The 'Eighty-Eight' was produced by Oldsmobile from 1949-1999 and this particular model is a Fourth Generation 'Super 88' with the 394ci Rocket V8 which was rated at 315bhp at the time. The 1960, four-door sedan models were advertised as having the"Linear Look", and the thin window pillars resulted in a light and airy cabin. This left-hand drive Super 88 car was the subject of a total rebuild during the early 1990s, but you would be forgiven for thinking that it was much more recently, such is the quality of workmanship on display. The Olds has attended many shows over the years and has won a number of trophies, with' Best in Show' on more than one occasion. During the restoration, all the exterior panels were removed and taken back to bare metal, etch-primed and finished with two coats of '2-Pack' with a clear overbase. The boot, window and door seals were replaced with new and finally the underside was Waxoyled. In terms of the interior, the original seat covers were sourced from the States along with new carpet sets and a headlining.    Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1989 Porsche 928S4

Lot #291 (Sale Order 113 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.0L 1989 Porsche 928 S4 automatic. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 83/135. A magnificent GT Porsche 928 S4...This particular S4 was ordered from AFN in Reading on 1st of August 1989 in Guards Red with a black leather interior and contrasting red piping. The car has been fastidiously maintained starting with Porsche main dealers up to 103,000 miles and thereafter by Porsche specialists. It has been little used over the last 18 years only covering 15,000 miles in that period and has just had a full service along with a cambelt and water pump change. It's been a Porsche Club GB car most of its life and has clearly been cherished by its owners. This car had space age looks when it was launched in 1978 and still looks fresh by today's standards. With 320bhp on tap and a top speed of nearly 170mph this is still a serious GT for Mondeo money. No contest really. Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

2000 Subaru Impreza P1 (Prodrive Limited Edition) 2.0T 4WD 2DR

Lot #292 (Sale Order 114 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 2000 Subaru Impreza P1 manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. Iconic 2000 Subaru P1, rare, fast and still great value... claimed 280bhp at new and weighed just 1,295kg.  Developed as a joint venture between the Japanese factory, Oxfordshire-based Prodrive - the people who helped Subaru to international rally success - and Subaru (UK), the P1 (Prodrive One) was offered only as a two-door saloon. Fitted with a revised version of the rally engine with recalibrated electronics and developing no less than 280bhp, 69bhp more than the standard Impreza Turbo, this was a quick car. Combine that with a big-bore exhaust, quick-shift gear linkage, 17-inch titanium finish alloy wheels and a rally proven suspension set-up, and you've got the fundamentals of something rather special. This UK supplied car was first registered in September 2000. This low(ish) mileage (76,000) Subaru P1, is being sold from a private collection and is presented to Auction with its original Subaru service booklet showing a reassuringly comprehensive ten service stamps, together with an additional invoice for the last service carried out at 74,453 miles in August 2015.  Much debate rages about what is, in fact, the best Impreza, and the P1 would certainly be a contender. Its production run wasn't long and only just 1,000 were built, it received rave reviews at the time and it has since gained cult status. Track down a decent example and you'll have a car that could well be a long-term appreciating modern classic. A German Autobahn cruiser...This low mileage, right-hand drive, top flight AMG variant has only 58,000 on the clock and comes with a full service history. The lucky new owner will be the first in this country as it has not yet been registered. This E-Class is a special find in this condition with such a comparatively low mileage. When required, this V8 monster can propel the car to sixty miles per hour in less than six seconds but by the same token is extremely docile around town. 1967 Austin A35 Van

Lot #294 (Sale Order 116 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.0L 1967 Austin A35 Van manual that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. A cute little van, ideal for promotion purposes...The Austin A35 was a small family car that was sold by Austin from 1956 until 1968 and replaced the highly successful Austin A30. The name reflected the larger and more powerful 35 horse power A-Series inline four-cylinder engine, enabling a slightly higher top speed and better acceleration. A number of different body styles were produced over the years, including the van, probably better known to younger audiences as the famous van in the 2005 smash hit animated film, Wallace & Gromit. Purchased by our vendor for nostalgic reasons, his first car was an A35 Van, it has a second row of forward facing seats in the rear. Particularly well equipped for an A35 Van, it has Whitewall Tyres, posh Austin hubcaps, a body coloured external sun-deflector and chrome headlight trims. Presenting today in very good overall condition, it could make an ideal marketing vehicle and just needs a bit of love.   Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1988 Porsche 911 Supersport Targa 3.2 m491

Lot #295 (Sale Order 117 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.2L 1988 Porsche Carrera 3.2 M491 Supersport Targa manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 70/135. One of the rarest 911s on the market...Porsche Option Code' M491'- known as the 'Turbo-look', meant that the car left the factory with Turbo-style wide arches, rear spoiler and wheels making it very rare and not to be confused with cars converted to turbo arches aftermarket. This option was not just cosmetic, the 'turbo-look' package included cross-drilled brakes and suspension taken directly from the 911 Turbo. These cars were designated SuperSport Equipment (known as Supersport). A mere 75 were produced in RHD out of a worldwide production of around 250, only a few of which were Targas, making this a very desirable and sought after car.The Guards Red example offered in this sale has been with its current retired vendor for some 17, years and has been off the road for approximately 6-8 of these. We are told the car is running and is driven. Showing just 106,000 miles with a limited history, this will certainly be a great investment for the lucky new owner once it has been re-commissioned. With the rarity factor taken into account, this special car is offered at a very reasonable guide. Please contact the office for further details and we encourage all pre-sale inspections on this vehicle.  Exterior: 2/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1981 Reliant Scimitar GTC Automatic 1981 Reliant Scimitar GTC Automatic

1981 Reliant Scimitar GTC Automatic

Lot #296 (Sale Order 118 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3000L 1981 Reliant GTC Automatic automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 62/135. When did you last see one of these on the road?...Reliant began planning a convertible in 1977 and commissioned Ogle Design to create a proposal. Tom Karen adapted his earlier GTE design and created a beautifully proportioned four-seater convertible with a good sized boot. From the B post back, all of the panels were new, with extra bracing introduced between the rear side panels and door hinge plates running under the dashboard. The roll hoop from the GTE was retained, and for additional support, this was linked to extra tubes running around the front screen creating a T-bar design that would ensure some rigidity. As the car sported a separate chassis and extra bracing, it did not suffer from the scuttle shake that monocoque convertibles often display. The hood was designed in-house by adapting the hood frame from a Triumph Stag, with a bespoke cover made of mohair. A prototype car was produced in 1978 (still in existence today), powered by a 3.0 Essex engine. Later Reliant replaced it with a 2.8 Cologne engine because Ford had withdrawn their Essex engines from the European market in favour of the Cologne unit. This was slightly down on torque, so to improve performance Reliant changed the final drive ratio from 3.31 to 3.54. The GTC was launched in March 1980, with a hardtop added after the Birmingham Motor Show that year. It is stated that actually only three GTC's were produced in 1981 so this car was originally one of three, we wonder if the other two are still out there?Forming part of a collection, this car has only had three owners and has not been on the road now for some years but is said to start and move. With its rarity factor, this GTC deserves to be returned to active service, and with a little fettling that is very achievable. 1977 Triumph Stag MK II 3.0 V8 Manual

Lot #299 (Sale Order 121 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.0L 1977 Triumph Stag manual that has been with the current owner for the last 10 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A well-presented Triumph Stag showing just 66,500 miles, accompanied by its original bill of sale, service books and a history file going back to the first owner. Like the Triumph 2000, from which it was developed, the Stag was styled by Italian maestro Giovanni Michelotti and featured the monocoque construction, independent suspension, disc/drum brakes, power-assisted rack and pinion steering and driveline of that saloon. The power plant, though, was an all-new OHC, V8 of 3,000cc capacity fed by a pair of Stromberg carburettors. The newcomer received a warm reception at the time of launch in 1970. Owned by the current vendor for some ten years and supplied with a hard top roof, we are told this most interesting and attractive 3.0 V8 manual car has been regularly maintained by various Stag specialist garages. Sparingly used by the vendor for summer weekends away, this car was renovated in the late 1990s. Lot #300 (Sale Order 122 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.3L 1985 Daimler Double Six automatic. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. A very special Daimler Double Six... With 79,000 miles on the clock, this Daimler has just been run in and has very straight lines with a very presentable paint finish. It has contrasting Burgundy unmarked leather upholstery which has clearly been well cared for over the years. The Double Six has its original book pack with a stamped history showing the last stamp at 79,150 dated 2014 and has done little mileage since that time. Along with the service records, there is a large folder of receipts showing a good amount of money has been lavished on it over the years, suggesting that this car has been very well maintained and is not one of those with loads of owners and no paperwork. With its gleaming white paintwork, it may well be a welcome addition to the fleet of a wedding business perhaps? When did you last see one of these? With just one owner from new and only 42,000 miles on the odometer, this must surely be one of the finds of the decade. This Alfasud Cloverleaf is a 1.5 ltr, 5-door, right-hand drive example in light Metallic Green, and is supplied with its original handbooks and more importantly, the correct service book, showing 7 stamps with the last one from July 1996 at 36,064. 1972 MGB Roadster

Lot #302 (Sale Order 124 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.8L 1972 MG MGB Roadster manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 79/135. The ever popular MGB Roadster...Every auction must have one and we are no exception. This chrome bumpered model dates from November 1972 and is finished in Mineral Blue with a black cloth interior and a black soft top. It benefits from having an overdrive unit and sits on silver Minilites. The large history file with the car suggests that it has been maintained/restored on an ongoing basis over the years and there are records of thousands of pounds having been spent. In 2002 alone, £2200 was committed to restoration of the bodywork and a new hood. This is a very usable MGB in generally good condition all round. The seats could possibly do with a bit of attention but the rest of the car is pretty decent. People can be a little sniffy about MGBs, possibly because there are so many around, but they are good looking, affordable classics that go and handle well, and with the top down on a Summer's day represent all that we love about British sports cars.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #303 (Sale Order 125 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.2L 1961 Jaguar Mk2 automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. A truly magnificent 1961 MkII Jaguar built replicating a Coombs car from the sixties. This fast, road going MkII is a totally magnificent example having recently been imported into the UK from Australia and was manufactured on the 27th of October 1961 and exported to Perth on the 16th of November in the same year. This car has been built with an unlimited budget with fast road use in mind using a 4.2 engine and an automatic gearbox and is well known by the Australian Jaguar Car Club where the owner/builder was an active member. The Opalescent Green paint, open wheel arches, chrome wire wheels and louvered bonnet are all reminiscent of the 2 or 3 dozen modifications available from Coombs of Guildford in the sixties. 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix Coupe

Lot #305 (Sale Order 127 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 6378L 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix Coupe automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A well presented Pontiac Grand Prix. All chrome and corners, this glamorous Pontiac is powered by a 389 cubic inch V8, the same engine as used to propel its baby brother, the GTO. Mated to an automatic transmission, it's an easy cruiser but has the ability to pin you back in your seat with a push of the throttle, and the V8 rumble is throaty yet not deafening, through a new dual exhaust system. The exterior is finished in a solid Black with a complimenting Black vinyl interior. This '65 Grand Prix is a two-door hardtop and looks very similar to the GTO, but is a much more comfortable package than its performance-focussed sibling. The big chrome bumper and split grille screams mid-60s Pontiac, as do the dual exhaust tips and the acres of chrome. It's sort of "60's Road Movie meets Pimp-my-Ride". The car was completely restored over in the States prior to coming over to the UK and is therefore just ready to show off and enjoy. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1988 Jaguar XJS V12 Convertible

Lot #306 (Sale Order 128 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.3L 1988 Jaguar XJS Convertible automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. A lovely XJS Convertible...The day of the XJS is returning and values are rapidly increasing as cars destined for the scrapyard have finally ended up there, and those decent cars that remain are generating a bit of interest with the recent 30th anniversary and growing enthusiasm for its distinctive styling. This particular car is from a collection of low-mileage vehicles and shows a mere 44,000 miles which we believe is genuine but cannot warrant. There is a large history file supplied with the car, showing that it has been well maintained over the years. Unusually, it's been fitted with a very sixties three spoke wood-rim steering wheel, very evocative of the E-Type. This XJS will be offered at auction with a fresh MOT. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

Lot #308 (Sale Order 130 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 5.0L 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 80/135. The pink Mustang. This, restored 1966 Mustang, has been finished to a very good standard with lots of fresh metal and a good coat of paint, in that distinctive pink lustre. Under the skin, the car has been fitted with a new 5.0 HO V8 from the series three Mustang, upgraded to improve performance. 1993 Alfa Romeo 155Q4

Lot #309 (Sale Order 131 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1.995L 1993 Alfa Romeo 155Q4 manual. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. One of a handful of Alfa 155 Q4s on the road...This must be one of the most underrated cars of all time. The Q4 has the same 187bhp engine as the 2.0 Lancia 16v Integrale complete with a turbo so, in essence, it is a real 'Q' car and at a fraction of the price of its Integrale contemporary. This car has come over from Italy, and has had all four wheels refurbished and a brand new set of tyres fitted. Complete with its original book pack and a comprehensive service history with the all important cambelt being replaced in February 2015 at 112,000 kms. Everything works well and it's clear that this little Alfa has patently been well maintained. These Q4s were, by far, the quickest version of the 155 and very hard to find. Lot #310 (Sale Order 132 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.9L 1997 Mercedes-Benz CL500 automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 4 years. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A luxury grand tourer...This top flight Mercedes represents a huge amount of executive car for the money. The CL500 is an effortless, long-legged cruiser and with its double glazing and sumptuous leather, the interior is particularly inviting. The car was well optioned initially and would have cost in excess of £60,000 back in 1997. This very presentable CL has its original book pack and a stamped service book up to 98,142 miles and will be supplied with a fresh MoT for the auction. Why not treat yourself? 1967 Daimler Sovereign Manual 4.2 1967 Daimler Sovereign Manual 4.2

1967 Daimler Sovereign Manual 4.2

Lot #311 (Sale Order 133 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4200L 1967 Daimler Sovereign manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 79/135. A gentleman's carriage... The Jaguar 420 and its Daimler Sovereign equivalent were introduced at the October 1966 London Motor Show and produced for two years as the ultimate expression of a series of "compact sporting saloons" offered by Jaguar throughout that decade, all of which shared the same wheelbase. Developed from the Jaguar S-Type, the 420 cost around £200 more than that model and effectively ended buyer interest in it, although the S-Type continued to be sold alongside the 420/Sovereign until both were supplanted by the Jaguar XJ6 late in 1968. It is interesting to note that in 1967, the Daimler Sovereign out sold the Jaguar MkII in both 3.4 and 3.8 forms. This very smart, Dark Blue 4.2 sits on Chrome Wire Wheels and has a desirable manual overdrive gearbox which is working well and makes this car a great cruiser. It has lived out in France for many years and is still showing 6,000 miles which we are told may well be true. Looking around the vehicle will perhaps give a better feel for this. We would guess that it has been restored at some point and certainly the interior looks good however the history file has yet to be found but should be available at the time of the sale. To sum up, this could be a really good value for money, sixties Daimler which would certainly get you noticed. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 2/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1994 Rover 827SLI Automatic

Lot #312 (Sale Order 134 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.7L 1994 Rover 827 SLi automatic that has been with the current owner for the last 2 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores 81/135. A blast from the past...One of Rover's middle management cars has found its way 22 years later to CCA's March sale. This 1994 Rover 827SLi in Nightfire Red is a rare sight on today's roads and there can't be many with such a small mileage (33,400). The car has been in storage for a couple of years, but prior to that, was used regularly and does have a very comprehensive service record. These cars were powered by the Honda C27A engine and were well built and reliable, and this particular car is said to drive smoothly with a good gear change. We are sure this Rover will generate a lot of interest at auction as, although it's 22 years old, it is an attractive, well-built, well spec'd, executive saloon with good history. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 4/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1992 Toyota MR2

Lot #313 (Sale Order 135 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 2.0L 1992 Toyota MR2 GT manual. Coming with a history file, this lot's condition scores 24/135. A sporty little number...This second generation MR2 has only had two previous owners and has travelled 106,000 miles, however we cannot verify that this is warranted. The car is said to drive well for its years and is mechanically sound, just requiring a little cosmetic work mainly to the front offside wing and a small dent on the rear bumper. Once this has been attended to it will make a very competitively priced GT MR2 and will give miles of pleasure to its new owner.  Exterior: 2/5, Interior: 2/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 0/5, Running gear: 0/5, Electrics: 0/5, Vehicle history: 0/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1969 VW T2a Campervan (Early Bay) 1969 VW T2a Campervan (Early Bay)

1969 VW T2a Campervan (Early Bay)

Lot #314 (Sale Order 136 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 1600L 1969 Volkswagen T2a (Early Bay) Camper manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with no history file, this lot's condition scores 77/135. In late 1967, the second generation of the Volkswagen Type 2 (T2) was introduced and was built in Germany until 1979. In Mexico, the Volkswagen Kombi and Panel were produced from 1970 to 1994. Models before 1971 are often called the T2a (or "Early Bay") while models after 1972 are called the T2b (or "Late Bay"). This 1969 VW Camper is an 'Early Bay' and has landed on our shores all the way from Birmingham, Alabama, having been subject to a body restoration just prior to coming over to the UK. Mechanically it is said to drive well and has had some re-commissioning works over here ready for our sale. The interior is currently empty and, in essence, is a blank canvas for the new vendor to create somewhere individual with the help of one of the large number of specialist companies providing bespoke interiors for these vehicles. Once this has gone in, it will make the whole package very presentable and a superb holiday vehicle.  Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 1/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 1/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1969 Jaguar E Type Series 2 FHC 1969 Jaguar E Type Series 2 FHC

1969 Jaguar E Type Series 2 FHC

Lot #315 (Sale Order 137 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 4.2L 1969 Jaguar E Type Series 2 FIXED HEAD COUPÉ manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with no history file, this lot's condition scores 82/135. Some cars need no introduction and the Jaguar E-Type is no exception. The Series II Jaguar E-Types that were produced from 1969 to 1971 can be identified by their open headlights, no longer under glass covers, a wrap-around rear bumper, repositioned and larger front indicators that moved to underneath the heavier bumpers, and tail lights also moved below the rear bumper. The cooling was much improved helped by the enlarged 'mouth', and Series II cars also feature twin electric fans and uprated brakes. The engine is easily identified visually by the change from smooth polished cam covers to a ribbed appearance, yet the original triple SU carburettors remain. The interior and dashboard were also redesigned, with flick switches being substituted by rocker switches as a nod to U.S regulations. This left-hand drive, 1969 Series II, has been residing in California from its early days and has recently returned to the UK. The majority of export cars to the US were automatic and with rear seats whereas this car is manual and a two-seater making it ideal for the UK market. Having had a fresh coat of paint and a re-trimmed interior before coming back to the UK, this bright red E-Type is ready for the road once it has been registered, so the new owner will be the first on the V5.This very attractive, two-seat Series II FHC sits on wire wheels and is priced at a guide that may make converting it to right-hand drive a sensible option. Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 1/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1988 Jaguar XJ40 Sovereign 1988 Jaguar XJ40 Sovereign

1988 Jaguar XJ40 Sovereign

Lot #316 (Sale Order 138 of 138)

Offered for sale is a 3.6L 1988 Jaguar Sovereign automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 97/135. Pound for pound, one of the best value cars you can buy. Manufactured between 1987 and 1994, the Jaguar XJ40 was officially unveiled on the 8th October 1986 and was a major redesign of the XJ to replace the Series III, although the two model ranges were sold concurrently until the Series III was discontinued in 1992.Throughout the 1970s Jaguar had been developing "Project XJ40", which was an all-new model intended to replace the original XJ6, and despite a number of serious delays for various reasons it was eventually decided to go ahead with an in-house design, and £80 million was allocated to the project. Sadly, the XJ40 was to be the last car to which, company founder Sir William Lyons, made a major contribution. During development, the XJ40 pioneered significant improvements to the way Jaguar designed, built, and assembled cars. Among these improvements was a 25 per cent reduction in the number of bodywork panels required per car, resulting in a weight saving and a stiffer structure. Greater attention to panel gaps improved the drag factor, whilst also improving the fuel economy and lowering wind noise inside the cabin. From 1988, the Sovereign model came equipped with significantly more features than the base XJ6. Included was air conditioning, larger rectangular headlamps with washers, a six-speaker sound system, rear self-leveling suspension (SLS), ABS, and the window frames were now chrome-plated.Supplied new on 15/04/1988 by Jaguar dealer, Harvey Hudson of Woodford at a cost of £29,572.25, this lovely Sovereign 3.6 Automatic has had 2 registered keepers from new and presents superbly having covered a nominal 39,200 miles whilst under the obvious care of its first owner of 25 years and then the present vendor. Having been used sparingly, and snoozed gently under its dedicated car cover in the garage its entire life, the sparkling condition of its Grenadier Red paintwork is not a surprise. The interior is, quite frankly, outstanding with the soft cream leather remaining supple, the grey carpets are excellent and the cross-banded veneers on the dashboard and door cappings look immaculate. Lifting the bonnet you're met with one of the cleanest, tidiest engine bays we have seen on a XJ40.Supplied with good supporting history, please note the original book pack has been lost sometime ago however the service history is confirmed by the original owner and it was maintained mostly by one garage, who might be able to substantiate the history if contacted.Boasting a recent MoT, this car is surely, pound for pound, one of the best value cars you can buy. Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.
